Gave us great advice, and. Pointed us to a free 3 hr walking tour of York and it was excellent.

I believe the office has moved and we struggled to find it. However a phone call to the tourist officer working there soon resolved that. She was able to answer all our questions and make lots of interesting suggestions. Very helpful.

The staff was really helpful, offering us translated documentation in French, and informing us about the different bus tour that were available in our language.

As the park & ride on the road from Harrogate was closed, I foolishly decided to try & park in York. The car park by the Novotel wanted £10 in coins for 4 hours (who carries that amount of coinage on them?); The credit card reader was broken; there is a phone number you can ring (nice if you own a mobile phone which I don't); you can use an app apparently (ditto last comment). Eventually I just gave up & drove on to Harrogate (which is easy to park in & very nice to visit). Obviously York doesn't want tourists who drive so be warned!

Always great for finding places in York, even if you're just new here it's helpful to ask where certain shops are and get to know where to go and where not to go.

Staff helpfull, especially one member, she went the extra mile, confirming concert ticket at York Barbican pick up on the night, the Barbican failed to deliver that message but York Info Centre did, returned my Call at Speed with constructive & exact info what I should have received from York Barbican.

I visited to York last Tuesday 28th nov I do enjoying myself and looking forward rounds old shopping and lots shopping and old church and park I do enjoying day my first time there wow it’s beautiful view and good weather but cold and sunny as well I do show u see what had there of photos I hope u enjoying see photos of York rounds

Loved York- busy busy with lots of street entertainers. The Shamble a must as is The Museum & The Minster.Bettys Tea Rooms we missed as too long a queue!

Superb and helpful staff, right bang in the middle of the city centre near all the tourist attractions.

The staff here are really nice, all of them. They're knowledgeable and keen to help. It will be easier to find when the new sign goes up.

Useful information centre that provides some leaflets and booklets on the local area and has a small souvenir shop too. It is also very convenient for York Minster.

Worthwhile visit as the staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

I wanted possibly the most basic piece of information you could want , a bus map of York, and they don't stock them. Seriously.

Tourist information always great. But never recommend the Raj for food. Tried it and a real bad toilet experience. Don't know what they cook with, bleach maybe, nothing like proper Indian cuisine.
