I loved being for a week! So peaceful, so beautiful and such an amazing place to relax! Canโ€™t wait for another week away up there, lovely places to stay and eat as well so that just adds to the whole atmosphere. The dogs loved all the amazing walks they had, Iโ€™m sure they canโ€™t wait to come back again!

The peak district national park is just incredible. Everywhere you look there is a view. Amazing for walking and cycling. Good for camping also but be wary of where exactly you are as the mist coming in quickly and can be boggy around here. Check weather. Also try to get here early and not at weekends as it can be a bit of a car park. However it is worth it, because it is just stunning.

What an amazing place, feels like a hundred miles of sky. The peak district rangers did a superb guided walk and showed us lots of amazing places and point of real interest. I met a whole group of people from totally different walks of life, got super rained on twice and walked under an amazing sky Cannot recommend it enough

Great place to visit for hiking all year round. Even the drive from village to village is pleasant and relaxing. Thor's Cave is one of the best places to visit. There are magnificent views from the top, same as from the cave itself. ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป

Beautiful place to hike and for rock climbing. We will be back! Absolutely loved climbing the grit stone. It was a truly unique experience. The ancient oak trees covered with moss were absolutely beautiful. Whether you're looking to climb or hike or would recommend taking the time to visit this beautiful place.

Pots and Pans monument Saddleworth. A steep climb to the top but will worth it.. Great views of Manchester in the distance. Wrap up warm unless in the summer.

Breathtakingly beautiful! You need a decent pair of walking boots, an OS map and compass and with a backpack of snacks and water bladder & then this is a dream area for hikers. Stunning whatever the weather, well worth a visit! You can walk for miles without seeing another person. Great for dog walking too, as long as the dog is used to uneven terrain and day hikes! Plenty of gorgeous places where you'll want to just stop to take in the views.

Very beautiful place. Unfortunately, it was absolutely freezing ๐Ÿฅถ so I probably didn't get the best from it . There were a lot of fell runners, and the scenery was stunning .

Amazing place with lots of stunning views; perfect for almost every activity. There is plenty of well-marked hiking and biking routes, but out in the wild most of the car parks is quite small. The weather can be very diverse so be ready for it! The Sneak Pass is absolutely perfect for a motorcycles who want to ride fast and enjoy the corners! Little towns in the valleys are very picturesque and worth to stop by, however in the season the most popular places are crazy busy!

Peak District National Park is the best place on earth. It's a massive help to people who mental health problems, it's a fantastic range of paths and breathtaking views. Your mind will reset in no time as soon as you step out. Also, people who love trekking and hiking will not be disappointed in a slightest. Just be mindful when you visit, please don't try to intervene in the wildlife and please don't leave anything behind you such as bottles and food wrapping. Enjoy!

Castleton is one of the most beautiful villages in the Peak District. It has an array of natural and historical features both above and below ground, and is surrounded by superb walking country. Whatever the weather Castleton has something to offer everyone. High above the village stand the imposing ruins of Peveril Castle (inaccessible). The castle was completed in 1086 for William Peverel.Castleton is now famed for its four show caves,Peak cavern, speedwell cavern.Treak Cliff Cavern has two distinctly different series of caves. The first half is full of minerals and fossils including the local fluorspar unique to the area, called Blue John. For more information on the village and its history, we can approach Castleton Visitor Centre, which combines the village Historical Society's museum and the National Park Information Centre.

Amazing scenery, one of England's most beautiful places. Miles of unspoilt scenery, you can walk for miles and enjoy the views or just do short walks, something for everyone. Just a few photos here which doesn't do the Peak District justice. There is so much more...! If you like quaint country pubs, shops, cafรฉs then this is your place. The weather you can never guarantee so you can head to one of the local villages or check what's going on locally.

Peak District has something to offer to everyone of all ages. There is so much to see and do here, it is impossible for one to get bored. The sceneries are stunning and the atmosphere is amazing. Make sure to wear some comfortable shoes because it involves a huge amount of walking.

What a beautiful place to visit beautiful caverns and hill with limestone overlooking the green countryside. Paths are stoney, muddy and slippery so always wear good ankle support boots or outdoor trainers. The walks uphill are for moderate walkers, they are ok for kids also but do supervise them as you can be very close to the edge which can be dangerous. Close by are all the local cavernโ€™s you can visit from Speedwell, Peak Cavern, Treak cliff cavern and bluestone cavern all worth a visit. Visit to cavernโ€™s can range from ยฃ7 to ยฃ16 per person with parking extra. A lovely place to visit it you passing through or trekking or hiking the Peak District. Only a few hours from London and its free to roam the hilltops. Stay on the designated paths as they will keep you safe and from getting lost. Take snacks and water as there are limited shop unless you visit the local villages. There are shop for goodies and coffee/tea along at at the peaks so look out for them.

The Peak District National Park is absolutely stunning, I visited Water-cum-jolly recently for some climbing and it was a great place for experienced climbers. I wouldn't recommend it for absolute beginners as there's not too many easy routes. There's on road parking close by, the short walk is pleasant and mostly flat which is rare when walking to a crag. All of the climbers and walkers we encountered on the day were polite and friendly. The climbing is a challenge as the footholds are so polished on most routes / problems but it was good practice for better footwork.

The Peak District National Park covers 555 square miles of the most beautiful areas of Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Cheshire, Yorkshire and even parts of Greater Manchester. ๐Ÿž๏ธ It was the first National Park ever created in the UK, back in 1951, and it now receives more than 10 millions visitors every year. ๐ŸŒ„ They come here for our stunning countryside, our charming towns and villages, and the freedom to escape from the crowds on our miles of footpaths, bridleways and cycle trails... ๐Ÿšดโ€โ™€๏ธ

It is a beautiful region. Magnificent. We camped here. The grass is very soft. Not too many bugs. The walking trials are idyllic. The bike trails are fantastic. Theses trails go over different type of terrain offering smooth progress as well as increasing in difficulty. Some parts are stony or ground is soft. There is also varying degree of incline. So it has something to offer all level of enthusiasts. Tandem biking was especially fun. You can rent bikes here too. The views were simply magnificent!

Love this place, the very definition of the great outdoors, visited at the weekend to go see the B-52 bomber wreckage and a part of history it was fantastic. Parking is not great but if you get there early you should find a space. Glossop town centre is about a 10 min drive from snake pass which is also worth a visit.

Beautiful place just a couple of hours north from London. We stayed in the towns of Leek and Buxton, which served as the starting point for our hikes. We were lucky with the weather; a bit risky and rocky to do after rainfall. Highly recommend, will visit again. Visited in Sep 2023.

Nice hiking day out with a lunch in Castleton. Lots of caverns to explore for something a bit different if you're keen. Pretty busy a very touristy area. We did a small hike up Winnats Pass was about 5km from the town up a steep climb coming round the top and back down the other side. If you fancy a bit more of a walk you could climb to the top of Mam Tor from the top of the pass or park along the roads near the Blue John caverns as a starting point.

An area of beauty and contrast, from the rolling hills and valleys of the limestone White Peak to the dramatic moors and Gritstone outcrops of the Dark Peak, a true walkers, cyclist and climbers paradise. There is an abundance of wildlife making it perfect for watching, painting and photographing not only the natural flora and fauna but also the animals of the farm lands.

Serene & beautiful, ethereal & peaceful, just some of the few ways you could use to describe this gorgeous walk through Macclesfield Forest Stretching over vast hills and picturesque vistas and delving deep into thick woodlands of ancient Firs to admiring the many reservoirs and the diverse array of creatures that call it home, there is truly something for everyone to make a connection with. After 4 hours and a lengthy 8km walk, that following night I had perhaps the best night sleep I've had in months, truly at a complete peace of mind ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธโœŒ๏ธ

Walked Bleakhow and Higher Stones, path is part of the Pennine Way and good underfoot. There are signposts to keep you on the right course but at times it's advisable to take a map to ensure you know where you are going, especially if you are visiting any of the Wain Stones that can be found in the area. Fantastic views of the valleys, walk took about 5 hours to complete there and back.

We camped right near Mam Tor on a farm site. This year we had sun, rain, horizontal rain, fog and wind. Thankfully we were prepared and the tent held up well. There are so many different places to visit. This year we did the classic Mam Tor circular walk and a walk around the reservoirs in the afternoon. There is enough free parking if you set out early enough. Some things worth noting: There are no bins in the park so be prepared to take your rubbish home. Don't park on any part of the road that isn't marked up for parking. The parking enforcement team was out in force and loads of people got tickets. Some people drive like psychopaths around the sharp bends and narrow roads and get frustrated with more careful drivers. My partner found the constant presence of cars driving extremely closely to us a bit nerve wracking. She was only driving 5 or 10 mph under the limit in wet conditions and still people couldn't resist driving aggressively. Don't let them win by speeding up. We saw a nasty car crash this year that could have been avoided with more careful driving.

Sublime. I haven't seen anything like it. It is just the most mystifying experience I've had. Beautiful place to visit. Lots of different walks, towns and villages in or around the national park. Historical sites (Haddon Hall, Chatsworth...), breathtaking scenery (Curbar Edge, Lathkil Dale...) and family fun (Blue John Cavern, Multiple cycling paths). It's an area full of rich history and character. If it becomes too much there are many local pubs, tourist information centres and generally friendly people to ask for help when needed. Bakewell the heart of the Peak District is also the home of the iconic Bakewell Pudding as well as a variety of other cafes and eateries.

Wetton Mill circular walk. This walk is pram friendly. Stunning views. We're lucky to catch up with a snow, so kids were extremely excited ๐Ÿคฉ near the car park is a cafe and toilets. The way to the little cave, behind the cafe, isn't pram friendly, so be aware, but lovely to explore it. We had 4 kids and a toddler in the pram and it took us 3 hours to complete circular walk. I would definitely recommend it for those who start to explore Peak District and wants to meet with hiking process ๐Ÿ”

This is an anytime visit for my family as it is near to us. Best for trekking. Good car parking facility. Would recommend to bring cash in hand to pay for parking ticket. Peak District is under National Trust and have highly maintained this place where people can experience the Nature. Have hills, streams, animals, caves. Please come prepared as it could be sunny or rainy. It is better to start early morning as there is a lot to explore and the best part is you can stop at anywhere to want and return.

Try the north rim walk accessed through Ricklow Quarry. Return to Monyash via rugged Cales Dale and Derby Road. Or continue on to ancient standing stones at Arbor Low

Absolutely gorgeous! It was our first trip to the peak district and we have fell in love with this place! Amazing views from the top, plenty of sheeps walking around freely. Definitely recommend visiting if you live nearby and haven't been yet. Just make sure you wear appropriate clothing and shoes and the way can get dirty, slippy, wet and uncomfortable at the times with the amount of stones on your way so comfortable walking shoes are a must!

Loved this place, with an astonishing view. It is perfect if you want to have a short walk to the top, it go even higher. Be careful! It can be a little steep, but with good footwear, you are safe ๐Ÿ˜‰

I can't begin to count the amount of amazing experiences I have had in the peak District over the years. It's very well managed, people are so nice, I've done walks, climbs, cycles, camping. I recently realised there are 3 aeroplane crashes from the war time (only discovered 1 so far). Highly recommended.

Camping at Lathkill Wild Campsite. Basic but clean facilities; 2 toilets, water tap and facility to empty chem loo. Dog friendly. Informal and relaxed large, semi wild fields with plenty level pitches offering privacy and beautiful views over valley. Lovely walking. Youlgreave nearby for shops and medieval church.

This is a cool place if you like to make trekking, hiking, walking or camping. There are also good mtb cycling routes there. We took like 25.000 steps in one day and it was cool. We will come again to explore new routes there soon. You also need to see one of the world's old railway suited in this area
