Spent thousands of dollars in this store and had a chain extension break, they replaced it with a shorter one and then lied to me about the length of the chain saying they actually made it longer, then the chain broke again and they offered me to just replace it but only offered me $100 for the broken chain after I already paid $50 for them to fix it. Had to replace the chain and spend an extra $260. Won’t EVER be coming back here again. Should have just asked for the money and would have GLADLY spent another $260 at another jeweller. I also bought a $1000 Movado watch from this place and within three months the gold is tarnishing? And after my FULL warranty I still have to pay $250 to replace the easily scratched face.

15 years ago I took my diamond and emerald engagement ring to Youngs to be made 1 size bigger. They told me claws also needed replacing. 2 years ago I noticed a black line through the gold band. I took it back to them and they said the ring "needed work as it it hadn't been touched in well over 20 years" The cost to do the work $900 and they seemed disappointed I didn't want to leave it with them. Here we are 2 years later and the ring is in the hands of my friend who owns a jewellery shop in the UK. She tells me the ring is a mess. The solder job was awful and they used 10 carat not 18 as the rest of the ring is. The claws have been very badly done and she is willing to commit this to paper. To sort the ring out $300 with the proper carat of gold used - so a lot less than I was told back then. Trusted them with my most precious piece. I will never set foot in there again. Disgusted.

I recently moved to this area and am so grateful a friend recommended I try Young & Sons to get my engagement ring repaired here. It’s now better and more secure than it was when my husband bought it from Birks. The quantity of workmanship and sincerity in their customer service approach is second to none. I will absolutely be back to this store to explore their beautiful selection of jewelry for myself and gifts for others. This is a wonderfully family run establishment going on 120 years of being in business. I seldom write reviews, but I’m too happy with the service I had to not take the time to share.

Young’s Jewellers on Lynden Road, is a must see. Something for everyone. The staff are warm and very helpful. You can also shop online. Lots of parking available.

I need to add to this review as we initially bought a beautiful ring and then decided to add another ring that they designed and made a model. We purchased it and it was beautiful. We just had another milestone and added another model ring. Cannot Thank Graham and entire staff for their ingenuity, courtesy and service. High quality add reasonable pricing. Feel great after walking out with your purchase. We have been purchasing varied items from Young's for almost 40 years. They cannot be more helpful in assisting you to make sure you are entirely happy and comfortable with your purchase. All the staff is very courteous and patient. They have made models of ring designs to make sure you get exactly what you imagine. Highly recommend

I had broken my necklace and went in for a repair. I went in to get it fixed and the staff had it repaired immediately. Didn’t take all of 10 minutes. Exceptional service and people.

Sandra and Graham are always friendly, welcoming, intuitive, and patient as they strive to please the customer. I shopped at J.H. Young & Sons for the first time yesterday. The store was very well staffed with everyone who offered to help and made sure I was taken care off and all were very friendly. I came to get my watch a new battery and the gentleman who works with repairs actually checked my battery and showed me it’s still working so cleaned my watch and battery and put it back in to see if it works. I loved that he investigated my issue instead of replacing and charging me when not necessary and this displayed solid client service. I also purchased a Pandora charm and the salesman was very helpful and kind. He showed me items he thought I would like and I appreciated that. I will definitely shop here again and would recommend for watches and Pandora. Looking forward to returning to shop again. Thank you for the super service!

I went to J.H. & Sons Ltd to replace my watch battery. It was replaced on the spot. I noticed that the date needs to be changed and the guy heard me and came to fix it. They have very nice customer service. I can say it was a very good experience and would absolutely go back in future.

Unprofessional and disrespectful. Brought in a white gold wedding band with a receipt from another jeweler. A middle aged female brought the ring into the back for inspection. I could hear her and a male laughing about it. She refused to sell it for consignment and offered a low price for "scrap gold".

Beyond impressed with the service from these people, they’re educated and not afraid to ask coworkers for opinions. Clean store, hand sanitizer set up everywhere. I feel as if this is one of the best jewelry stores in Brantford.
