Pretty run down square reflecting the diminished regard for Nkrumah and other Pan Africanists over the past 50 years, but interesting and solemn, particularly all the old photos in the museum and the lonely tomb.

You can find all sorts of Ganian crafts and clothes at accessible prices. The people I met where very helpful and kind. There are some small hairdressers' shops where you can get all kind of braids. Also at good prices. You only have to walk to the beach side.

There are a lot to be expected at the art center( playing of drums, opportunity to learn a thing about kente weaving styles, have a hands-on experience in carving, paintings and dance on a good day , Sellers here are comely, approachable as always. Shifting from the personalities that sell there, Is the environment. I’m highly disappointed at the look of the art Center. Just as huge as the place welcomes you, the attitude of Art and for the image of The capital, Accra, a great deal of attention needs to be give. The entrance is unfriendly, there ain’t enough maintenance from my observation. This spot on the map, by the sea needs a facelift indeed. I like the place but not proud of the outlook. Sincerely.... but then, I’ll recommend anyone that loves handmadejewelry, bags and Artifacts , visitors from around the world and indigenes to patronise from this place. It’s safe and the people there are beautiful in character. Visit to have an experience of a kind. There’s a gentleman behind the main stream of stores that makes xylophones ... he’s fantastic. You should go look out for his pieces amongst other amazing 😉 men and woman traders.

Hard sell craft market. Be savvy when buying. Shop around the stalls. There's some good stuff but often high prices. Any craft you can think of you'll find here.

The Centre for National Culture, Accra is your one stop shop for arts and craft ranging from beads, sculptures, fabric, jewellery and lots of African artefacts you can think of. However these items could be sold to you at an expensive rate if you don’t know how to haggle. Happy Shopping!

Centre for National Culture is the holders among its kind in Ghana, if you are looking for art, cultural and African goods or anything produced or made in Ghana or Africa, it is the right place to find it. Centre for National Culture is located on the John Evans Attack Mills highway, directly opposite National Lottery Authority.

It's a great place to purchase locally made art works ( artifacts, bag, cloths, paintings... Etc.). I didn't give it a 5-star rating cause the environment needs improvement and sorry I couldn't get any photos, had Low Battery but I will sometime later. Thanks 🙂

It was nice to see all of the artwork, especially in the gallery. If you don't have a local with you, offer less than half for the opening price and don't pay more than 60% max. It's still a tourists price but that was a helpful rule when shopping here.

I had great fun at the Centre for National Culture. I am impressed with the curious arts, designs and crafts of the people. With so much commitment to excellence and details to the letter. You will find enough things to buy - clothes, gift items, etc. You can also go there to learn about how to make these things. People here are friendly and accommodating (I didn't expect business people not to be calm, have listening ears, tough). The place is clean and yes, it's worth visiting.

A great place to visit, very aesthetically pleasing and engages all your senses with art and music. Lots of well crafted handiwork like wooden statues, bronze & iron figures, kente fabric, beads and drums are on display with price ranges for every type of pocket. The people are fun to be around and very helpful. An immersive experience. It is located close to Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleom and not far off from the Bank of Ghana.

A ton of cool stuff to buy, and you can get good prices- just go with A LOT of patience to bargain. You can see many of the artists creating the works they are selling, so even if they’re replications of originals most things are still handmade. Again- go with patience as their starting prices are very expensive, and they can be difficult to get down to reasonable prices. But it is supporting a local cause, and incredibly tedious and hard work.

Nice arts & crafts market with big variety. But salesmen are too intrusive and overcharge. Don't pay more than half the price they ask.

This is great place for arts and crafts shopping. The market is organized by sections where you can find anything from clothing, jewelry to fabrics, wooden craft and painting. You will surely find something that you would like for yourself or your friends and family. Even if you don't buy anything, it's always great to stroll in the alleys just to observe beautiful pieces, people bargaining or working.

If you love everything African craft, come with money cause there’s so much to choose from. Bags, clothing, painting, wooden items, sandals, leather items... the list goes on. Tip: learn some phrases in Twi, the locals love to hear their language coming from a foreigner.

(Translated by Google) It is a suitable market for shopping. However, it is necessary to bargain hard. I reduced the price of 280 Cedi to 20. Traders can sometimes insist on calling them to their shops. A very nice place to buy masks, wooden items and articraft. You need to be solid when you are negotiating. Shop keepers may sometimes be pushy. You have to know to say no when necessary. (Original) Alış-veriş için uygun bir pazar. Ancak sıkı pazarlık etmek gerek. 280 Cedi verilen fiyatı 20 ye düşürdüm.
