Totally had a good time at Akosombo and Dodi. The live band aboard the cruise was excellent. The food was also very good (good portions too) with nice staff serving. There is a grill ado on board if you want. Obviously the views are exquisite. A very lovely experience. It’s for all. Ghanaians are already used to doing this on weekends so if you’re an expat looking to connect you’ll get a real shot here.

Reception was good. Environment was generally neat. Washrooms were very clean. We enjoyed our boat ride. The helmsman, Stephen was very nice person. He allowed us sit behind the control to take photos. We definitely coming back again. 4 stars....

Is nice recreational center for everyday... For hot and fun moments visit on Saturdays and public holidays to experience the liveband on river and lot of entertainment activities... For a date and a serenity visit any ordinary day aside Public holidays and Saturdays. Military security patrolling day and night. Facilities include; restaurants with amazing dishes, banking (Zenith), bar, on water games and nice side view of the Akosombo Dam.

The cruise is boring, the island we were sent to is even more BORING! There’s absolutely nothing special there to see or do. No fun activities or whatsoever. We saw just 4 types of animals on the island (camel,horse, mule, donkey ) .Being on a 5hr cruise just to see nothing special on that island is not worth the 900GHS(2 people ) we paid . We were stressed out when we got back on land because of the duration of the cruise. The only thing we liked was the live band,polite staff and the food. Nothing special. You guys can do better. At least there can be games or competitions on the cruise to keep your guests entertained. Live band and food is not enough

A great place to spend a good weekend. Provide a variety of water entertainment projects, remember to make an appointment before going. Prices have been rising due to currency devaluation.

I was here on a Friday.... The place was slow. I was told that the Dodi Princess sails on Saturdays. I will return soon to experience the trip to Dodi Island.

The Dodi passenger lounge is great, food tastes good and you get have a have a view of the river/dam while you eat. Respectful staff. I'd definitely go there again.

Overall, the experience is worth the money. Costs Ghs 300 for adults - about $47 as the time I visited. You get to spend more than 4hrs on the ferry and less than an hour at the Dodi Island where you are given a hearty welcome. The live band crew are awesome and be sure to take lots of pictures through your ride😉

Beautiful scenery. Great place for hanging out with family and friends. Their food is delicious and affordable, although it takes a while to be served (30 mins), but well worth the wait. 👍🏾

This was a nice experience, Boat cruise, horse riding, pedal boating etc. For those who love live band music I don't know if they do it always but there was a band playing live band throughout the journey

The Dodi Princess boat is on the Volta Lake in Akosombo. It’s a great experience to be on that Boat. It is recommended for families to go there to have fun. Being there alone is a different Story. I also recommend that every tourist should visit there whenever they’re in Ghana.

Fantastic experience on this pleasure boat. A 3 hour cruise on the famous Volta Lake. The cruise was smooth with good entertainment on board. The food was excellent and the scene around the lake spectacular. I would love to experience it all day.

A really breathtaking experience.

The cruise was good and enjoyable.The Habitats are Fisherman. The entertaining welcome songs and dance by youngsters, was overwhelming.

Secured parking area. Very clean environment. Respectful staff.

The cruise was awesome. I particularly enjoyed the life band. It was so lovely seeing a group of children meeting us with traditional songs and dance. However, the Island itself has really nothing to showcase and some children were begging tourists for money.
