This place is a local food joint in Koforidua. Koforidua is the capital of the Eastern Region of Ghana. This place is actually called Aunty Ama Abease. All manner of local food can be gotten from here. Fufu is their specialty though. There are protein and soup options. Fish light soup, goat light soup, palm nut soup. Dry fish, goat meat, chicken. All available. Soup was nice. I enjoyed it. Not oily at all. There is the outdoor sitting area and the indoor. Most people prefer to sit outside under the palm trees. Good place to eat local food when in Koforidua.

As the name suggests, "Under the Palm trees".Thats where most people like to eat their fufu, banku or Omo tuo. Their food is ok and quite tasty but if you dont like spices, then I dont recommend it for you. The meat is expensive and it you are ok with spending over GHS25 before u have your feel then you would like this place.

Very simple, nice setting. Location is under trees with enough shade, decent plastic seating and low dining tables. Food is very good. Be wary of pricing, though, especially of the fish.

  • 3/5 hillary m. 1 year ago on Google
The is an open space, semi closed and an enclosed place depending on your place of comfort while you eat The light soup is a 4/10 But the fufu is cool

  • 2/5 Angela S. 2 years ago on Google
So on both occasions of my visit to this much talked about location i was woefully disappointed...the fufu was super soft as though it was melting in the soup and for the soup on both occasions tasted super watery...I think this joint is riding on past glory and those currently managing it ain't doing much at all

I real missed Koforidua abasee fufu is the best, it's more of a local Ghanian set up, with a delicious meal, say it banku , fufu, kokontie

The place is spacious with neat arrangements, slightly noisy, but cool. The time I got there, they were now rewarming the soup so to me I didn't really enjoy the food as much as I could have. Aside that good services

Well past the first traffic light from mile 50, Koforidua there is a cute fine eatery by the left. There, is some of the best fufu yet eaten by many. Soft and rich, the fufu has a neat balance of plantain and cassava pounded together to form the perfect paste. The soup is of relish delight, great taste leaving a lustfully sweet aftertaste. The meat is well seasoned and wonderful to taste. There is enough room for parking as well, comfy like that.

Best in local delicacies and their service is also on point. My only problem is the atmosphere for eating, it's a bit too open for someone who needs privacy when eating

Good food. Enjoy your meal in the open under trees...very homelike and refreshing. It is not a budget chop bar so be informed. Was a little disappointed they didn't provide disposable hand tissues but rather napkins for wiping hands after washing. It's recommended.
