We cannot thank Chef Brian and his team enough for catering our wedding! He did a fantastic job working with us throughout the entire process! The food was delicious, he was open to making a cheese wheel cake for us, and did a great job of selecting pretzels for our late night snack! We cannot recommend him enough!

Great lunch for a group of seven. We did have reservations today, which was key. They get busy quickly. The group loved the open face Reuben and the pork chop.

The food was good, it was quite busy, so we waited a bit for our food. Overall, the atmosphere was nice, and the food tasted good. I would recommend it!

This Cafe lives up to an Italian standard to a give a 5 star review from service to food to atmosphere. While it's not the cheapest itilian option you are getting excatly what you are paying for. With pleantly of fresh options from meals to wine and cocktails if you are willing to pay the extra this place is worth every penny of the experience.

First time eating here. The place has been remodeled recently. Nicely sized, big bar, nice service and great food. Worth checking it out whether you are for a nice sit down dinner or for a quick lunch during business hours.

I went with friends whose friend in that neighborhood praised it highly. It's an attractive traditional space...but unbelievably noisy.l, especially as more customers arrived. Five of us sat at a big round table - we couldn't hear each other speak due to room's terrible Acoustics. The food was so-so. I had the Shrimp Pastina Soup - which was just canned tomatoes in water with dome little Pastas and 2 small Shrimp. The 'Cup' of Soup was a tiny 1/2 cup serving. My Entree was deep-fried Salmon Balls on a little wilted Baby Spinach, and Mashed Potatoes which were just that - Potatoes. No Butter or Cream and apparently no Salt. The Salmon Balls were OK, but not flavored in any way. I wouldn't go back.

My husband and I went to Hoffstot's for the Saturday of Mother's Day Weekend - nice and busy! The food was absolutely incredible, huge portions and delicious appetizers. Unfortunately, the service was really sub-par. We had a waitress who just didn't enjoy her job. She was rude, at best. When she bussed our table, she got too close to me with the dishes in her hands and a butter knife slid across the back of my hair and onto the floor. No apologies. We will 100% be back to try again with a different waitress because we loved the food so much, and others around us seemed to be having a better experience with different staff.

This is a favorite spot to take customers as they have some unique and tasty dishes there and are more upscale. Drink and beverage selection is nice too. You would probably be wise to call in earlier for a reservation if you have more than 2-3 people they can get really busy. Solid spot!

This place is always a good choice for a great meal, everything we have had has been fantastic and very homemade in it's style and taste. The specials are always changing so each time is a unique trip down. The staff is kind, prompt, friendly and attentive which I appreciate noy once did my mine or my wife's ice tea go empty. They also have a wide selection of tasty alcoholic drinks which they also have specials on that change with the seasons. Prices are really good especially on the specials and you get a lot for the money. We always leave full and with leftovers for the next day

Old money style restaurant. Caters to an older generation. Not my style but attended for a work meeting. Nice private area for a group. Clean and well maintained. No outdoor seating. Wait staff was very stiff/indifferent. Really expensive menu, filet was $48+. Enjoyed it for an event but would choose it for a personal night out

Brian and his staff are amazing at what they do. Brian helped us create the perfect menu for our wedding day to get it just the way we wanted it. On the day, we didn't have to worry about a thing. Our head table was served sit down, and the guests had a buffet that ran very smoothly. The staff was attentive to the guests, and they were very helpful in arranging our cookie table and cutting/serving our MANY cakes (we had centerpiece cakes on every table). The food was very good as well, and we got to take the leftovers which is always a plus! Definitely recommend if you're looking for a reasonable but delicious caterer in the greater Pittsburgh area.

My wife and I had Sunday supper at 4:00. Great food and great service as always. Our server Sheppard was exceptional. I called for a reservation at 11:00am and left a message wondering if anyone would call me back. They returned my call at 12:45 conforming my reservation. Impressive service!

We were in from Canton, Ohio on a weekend getaway. Rose, our server instantly made us feel at home and was genuinely proud of the place she worked while giving us a fantastic brief history/heritage of the restaurant as you would want any great employee to do. It’s nice to patronize a family owned business where not only were the food and service great, it’s obviously a great place to work as well.

Me and my wife stopped here and the place was so nice. The service was great and the food was incredible. Not your average Italian restaurant.

Amazing staff, nice decor, but food wasn’t good. They have an “Early Bird Dinner” $15 specials Mon-Fri between 4-6PM. The starter bread with the dipping olive oil/sun-dried tomatoes was the best part of the meal. It was really good. Clam chowder cup was small, and the flavour wasn’t there at all. The crab cakes tasted a bit fishy. The penne with marinara was ok. It had plenty of sauce. Unfortunately it wasn’t a good experience so I can’t recommend it.

We were invited to this establishment by good friends that we don't see nearly enough. They are Oakmont residents, and this location is high on their list. Food was excellent. Service was great. Will have to return and test out the dessert menu when not so stuffed with Lasagna.

Normally I would get greens and beans or mini blackenzolas or fish sandwich. This time I got chicken piccata and my husband got lasagna. Chicken was overcooked and tough and the lasagna was horrible. It was bitter, couldn’t really tell it had ricotta and it looked more like mush stuffing rather than layers. What a shame. Our usual picks a normally wonderful. And we had a couple with us visiting from Baton Rouge. I wanted it to be great!

Had reservations to eat here on Easter Sunday. It was very busy, which was to be expected, especially on a holiday, but we were still served in a timely fashion, and our waiter was very friendly. The dinners that we got were delicious! The prices are slightly higher than average here, but remember, you are paying for quality! I would definitely recommend calling ahead and making reservations if possible, as they are frequently very busy! Overall, it's a great place to eat!

Melanie the bartender. Great service, suggestions, and menu knowledge. Fun to talk to as well! Good quality and flavors from both our dishes and we'll be back cuz there's like 10 other unique sounding items we want to try

Everything about this place screams fantastic experience. The people that work here are down to earth and make you feel like you eating home cooking. The atmosphere is very relaxed and you can come for any occasion. The food is over the top and you can tell it's made by hand and fresh every day 5/5!

Had the delicious, (not too spicy) salmon cakes. Spinach and green beans done just right. Good, not overwhelming portions. Nice atmosphere. Great spot for lunch.

They had us with the delicious calamari and zucchini appetizers. It's been years since I counted on this friendly neighborhood bar for a cold beer and a great sandwich. You can imagine my surprise when I arrived to see many improvements that made a really good food stop into an elegant restraunt. Nicely done!

Authentic Italian cuisine with great staff. Each dish was made with care and portion sizes were excellent. I do not think this food would be as good to-go, but it was delicious served fresh. The main course took a bit of time to come, but on par with other quality restaurants. Reservations are recomended, at least on Saturday night!

What a breath of fresh air restaurant!! Since the economy is at an all time low most other restaurants have shown a decline in quality with an extensive rise in prices. This restaurant did not follow that example. The good was wonderfully delicious, the menu gave choices to fit every taste, the prices did not break the bank which was a pleasant surprise along with the wonderful meal we thoroughly enjoyed. Service was exemplary as well. Friendly and very accommodating to our needs, orders and the service they provide, all the while very pleasant and friendly interactions with her. Can’t wait to go back and try a different entree as all sound just as mouthwatering as what I’ve already had. Thank you for keeping dining out fun, affordable and delicious!!

Went here with friends for a celebration dinner. Nice place, but not too formal which fits our style. The place was fairly busy so dinner lasted a couple hours, but the food was very good. From the breaded zucchini to the bruschetta, the apps were great. I had the lamb shank which was delicious. The gravy added some flavor but wasn't heavy. And the portion was generous. Not exactly an Italian dish, but also one that you don't find everywhere. My wife had the pistachio pasta which was also very good. It was flavorful but light. Overall, a good dinner in a nice place. It's a more expensive restaurant, so I'd go back for special occasions, but the food is excellent so it's worth the money.

We decided to try Hoffstot's in Oakmont for our daughter & son-in-law's Anniversary Dinner. Love the curb appeal & overall ambiance of the Cafe. Made a Covid request to be seated apart from others and that was immediately tended to. Between us there was a Skuna Bay Salmon, Blackened Mahi Mahi, Chicken Marsala and a Grilled Pork Chop. Everyone loved their meals. Each was done to perfection. We also requested to bring in a cake that they cut & plated at no fee. Premium service added to the total satisfaction of the evening. Looking forward to another experience at Hoffstot's very soon.

Overall, great meals and good service. I had a Caesar Salad with some added Salmon. The Caesar dressing was very tasty, and salad well dressed. Salmon prep was spot on, cooked just perfectly. Others in my party had pasta dishes which they said were very good. Portion sizes very nice. The only two down notes were that the hostess wasn't very friendly upon arrival. Wasn't rude, but didn't get a warm and fuzzy that she was happy to see us. Ah well, maybe she was having a moment. Also, food took a little too long to arrive, but want too bad. Overall great meal and great ambiance. Would definitely recommend as a clean, nice local place with a quality product.

Stopped in Saturday night without a reservation. Owner extremely helpful & was able to sit us in 25 minutes. Had a drink at the bar & good meals. Sure appreciated as we were on in town short time & wanted to eat dinner with friend from college
