Probably the worst Air force fitness center I’ve been in. Extremely dirty restrooms for the entire two weeks I was there to add to the problem.

Maxwell wants its members studying and not working out at the gym. That’s clear by the state of this fitness center. It’s disappointing. Hard to believe this gym is on a military base.

If your a military member there is no need for you to have a gym membership anywhere else. This facility is spacious and super clean. They even have a separate cross fit/ HITT area. Special 24 hour access pass is available.

You can get after hours access for the main gym (not the annex/CrossFit building), just talk to the front desk. It's a bit tight inside, especially the free weights side room, it's very packed from 3-5 every weekday, they should definitely expand that section. There should also be more calisthenics areas. Otherwise, great facility.

Waaay too hot in here, not enough dehumidifiers on, cramped space, not enough squat racks or cable machines.

There were people doing push-ups and sit-ups in the hallway because there was no where else to do them. The rowing machines where also in the hallway. I had a standard padlock that wouldn't fit the lockers. It is very cramped everywhere and simply wierd.

Not as many machines as the Y but it's still nice.

Good amount of cardio and strength training equipment. I found out about the spinning bikes and upstairs area a few weeks after arriving TDY.

Social distancing is in place. Staff are always helpful and friendly. Machines are spaced and properly disinfected on a schedule. Always a great experience.

If you have the 24 hour access and come outside of normal hours, it isn’t too crowded. Otherwise it gets pretty tight in here.

The AC works everywhere in this place. The sauna is very roomy and nice. Too bad the steam room is out of order.

The company's "supervisor" is extremely RUDE and VERY unintelligent. She is VERY unprofessional and should be REPLACED as soon as possible.... DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!! RUDE DISRESPECTFUL and again NOT VERY SMART.

The cardio room gets very little air circulation, which often results in a very hot and humid environment. However, they did just rearrange the machines and there's more space and a better flow for traffic. There's a women's fitness area upstairs with the basics and a few cardio machines. The weight room can be crowded in the afternoons, but it offers a variety of fixed machines and a free weight area.

Not a great place. HVAC system doesn't really work well. Shower curtains ripped. Lights burnt out. Unmotivated staff buried in bureaucratic rules. Equipment broken. Equipment very dirty. Underfunded. The only reason it doesn't get 1 star is the price. In this case you get what you pay for and the cost is free. Pay money and find a gym off base...

Decent gym. Has a good selection of equipment, include Cross Fit area. Has an upstairs aerobics area with digital programs one can access when classes are not in session. Lacks indoor pool and climbing wall.

  • 5/5 Cliff H. 4 years ago on Google
Great staff, unbelievable amount of equipment and my favorite, the steam room. Do wish they would put up another heavy bag at the gym though.

  • 3/5 charles t. 5 years ago on Google
Some of the staff is great but the other wasn’t. The staff that wasn’t good has issues with returning emails and phone calls. I just went over there and took care of it with the members of the staff that I do like. Also, I Put in several comments about cleaning the locker rooms hopefully they act upon it.

The gym itself and people who work here are above excellent. The only thing which could possibly be wrong or give you a bad experience are some individuals who use it. Whoever that may be?

By far my favorite place to work out! Tons of equipment to choose from and lots of space so you don't feel like you're in someone's way.

  • 3/5 Cindy F. 4 years ago on Google
It was okay...I liked the the scale and blood pressure machines that were available . The aerobic room was nice which included weights and jump rope.

  • 4/5 Austin 4 years ago on Google
They could use some newer equipment. But it's a great gym overall :)

  • 3/5 Michael H. 4 years ago on Google
Interestingly small considering the base size.

  • 4/5 Matthew G. 4 years ago on Google
Pretty good gym, would consider giving it a 5th star if they get rid of that cranky old lady working the front desk.

Watch for boots doing boot things

  • 3/5 J P. 5 years ago on Google
It meets every requirement but little else. I'd like to see a larger selection machines, pully systems and dumbbells.

  • 5/5 Matt M. 4 years ago on Google
Really awesome gym! The CrossFit area had lots of climbing features and felt like you could prepare for Ninja warrior there. :) There were wooden plates for deadlift integrated into the padded floor and plenty of stations to support a large group. Really really good time!

  • 3/5 Martha Elle D. 4 years ago on Google
Outdated and congested, go to. Burn Boot camp instead

  • 4/5 Johncarlo B. 4 years ago on Google
Not very crowded at all. Plenty of machines on the first floor. There's a heavy and a speed boxing bag in the basketball court that are still in good shape. My only suggestion would be to get rid of some of the machines that don't get use to make some more space in the gym. It seems like there's quite a lot packed into a limited space.

Standard AF Gym. Luckily, cadets aren’t allowed in there, so even during summer ROTC season, you won’t have an issue working in.

😐 It's a Planet Fitness. So in general you know what to expect, and for the most part this place delivers. It's clean. Staff seems friendly. Equipment appeared to be well maintained But unfortunately I can only give 3 out of 5 stars. If you're used to big city locations and those near major metropoli...
