Super-friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. A team of smiling, friendly, amazing cleaners who keep the place bright and shiny. Great range of equipment. Fabulous swimming pool - always at the perfect temperature. A number of great Personal Trainers who properly know what they're doing and create a different session each time so that you never get bored (shout out to my PT Matt). Having never been an exerciser, I have found that I love going to FFMK as I always feel supported, even when I'm exercising on my own. There's also a lovely on-site cafe (hello Chris and Glenn and the team!) so if you feel in need of calorie replacement after a workout everything is on hand, including home-made cakes.

I'm really impressed with DW, Milton Keynes. They froze the membership fees during lockdown, this meant a lot to me, it felt like they cared (they didn't have to as they were making online training available). The staff always seem "OK", as long as you ask for help, if needed. I have visited the gym, pool and classes a few times since it has reopened and each time have felt safe and comfortable with what is in place.

Cant praise this gym enough, theres new equipment, help is always there from personal trainers, staff are so welcoming and friendly made me feel so comfortable when I joined, nice to have a steam room and swim after the gym too. Also the cafe is a great little plus too! Kid friendly and nice place to do some work after, defiantly recommend fitness first to anyone who wants an all in one gym has everything under one roof!

I went with a friend on a day pass, I was greeted with such friendly staff. MK fitness first has got to be the cleanest gym I have set foot in.The facilities are amazing and the food to dye for. The manager and all the staff were very knowledgeable. What a team!!!!

Gym here is great, there’s wide range of high quality gym equipment with plenty of floor space too for everything you could want to do. The pool facilities are fantastic too! Staff here are brilliant very welcoming and friendly, always there to offer support if you need it. Couldn’t recommend enough.

Good gym so far, but the lockers do not contain a machine to dry swimming clothes with. This is quite an omission given the cost of membership. Doesn't look like there are any plans to add one either, so get ready to constantly carry a soggy bag here. Also have recently noticed that the steam room is ridiculously filthy along the walls. Grime, hairs, mould are plastered around. If you're ever here, take a look. UPDATE - the swimming pool is now being used for children's swimming classes, so there is a commensurate increase in noise, poop risk, etc. No communications from management regarding this change in market direction, which would have been useful. Otherwise, looks like the steam room was cleaned which is good, however, some of the mouldy fittings haven't been changed.

This gym is so friendly the staff have always looked after me. They listen and resolve problems. It’s so great to be met every morning with a friendly chat and smile. Especially Shola who always makes an effort for to talk to me and make me smile every morning. This gives me a positive start to my day. Kirsty is also very caring as she has been really helpful when I had issues at the beginning signing up my mums membership. Great team great equipment.

Really enjoy going to this gym, great facilities, plenty of space to workout so you don't feel crowded and the staff are all really helpful and friendly. In particular, Ant has always gone above and beyond to help me with any problems or queries I have and his classes are always super motivational and fun. Would recommend to anyone in Milton Keynes that's looking to join a gym!

Best club ever! I used to be a member of David Lloyds and AnytimeFitness but Fitness First takes everything to a whole new level. Things I like the most about Milton Keynes FF are the followings: Excellent customer service. Easy access. Wide range of gym equipment. Gym is always spotless. Classes are really good and so much fun. Personal Trainers are professional and knowledgeable. Spa is always nice and clean. Food are tasty and healthy. Overall it is such a great experience, thanks to their amazing staff!!

Air conditioning hasn’t worked since May in the weights room. The fans they’ve brought in use water, so the whole room has a damp mouldy smell that they’ve tried to cover up with £2 B&M bargains diffusers. Absolute joke. Shower/changing facilities; mens locker room - in the 18 months I’ve been a member there is a taped off cracked tile manhole cover that’s never been fixed, showers are rarely hosed down so floors are dirty with fluff. It’s a shame, as the equipment and main gym floor is great, and most of the staff are really fantastic. Clearly let down by corporate management who don’t want to seem to invest in the upkeep of the club.

The staff are always friendly and happy to answer any questions on how to use the equipment. The gym is well equipped with quality machines. The time table is varied and offers something for everyone. It's not a poseurs gym so all shapes and sizes are welcome.

Used to really enjoy going to this gym. However since changing work schedule I now go at busy times. There is a severed shortage of kit and equipment for the amount of customers paying for this. DW had way more equipment and lots of cable stacks! Seriously looking for another gym

I absolutely love Alex’s classes, in particular, body pump! He is a fantastic instructor, friendly, welcoming and makes you feel at ease whilst giving you a great workout! I wish I could do all his classes, the gym itself is great, nicely spread out with a great pool.

Class Peak times mean the car park is always full, usually with many cars circling looking for a space. Cars park on curbs and paths. Carpark is not maintained - some spaces are taken up by large bins. The carpark is shared with a children's gym above FF, and this takes up even more space. If you wish to use the gym during peak times, you will be waiting for ANY machine to become available. The best time to visit this gym is 1pm in the afternoon. No classes, carpark is empty. Mornings or Evenings, they have sold too many memberships and not enough parking even though they advertise parking as an available facility. Most people will have to travel to this gym due to its location. They close at 6pm at the weekends, if you are planning on using a pool or spa, they close at their own convenience, not members.

Facility is great equipment is good with nice heavy weights, the only few issues is people need to clean their equipment after using it as I always see people just get up and walk away. The main issue that is really starting to wind me up is the direct debit, I have 3 accounts for myself my wife and daughter, I show them in there that no direct debit has been taken and every month I’m showing them that they have not taken it. I then pay there and then via Apple Pay but the following day I receive a email stating I need to pay within 14 days. So when in the gym next I tell them and they say it automatically sent as the system don’t know I’ve paid yet. Surprise surprise my accounts are then cancelled as they don’t relay the information to head office (or the money is going in there back pocket) if this carries on I will speak to bank again and recall all money I’ve paid to them up to this point as I’m not getting service I’ve signed up for.

Absolute mess of a gym, sticky bathroom floors that feel like there washed once a week, rude staff (when it matters) I.e they have the steam room of in peak hours for half the week, repeatedly and blame there own members for their inability to put a cover on the thermostat. Rude management with little to no communication skills.

I've been to quiet a few gyms in MK and this is by far the cleanest, the girls do an amazing job! Also everything you need is there, I haven't tried the classes yet as they clash with the times I come but they look so good! Over all an amazing place to work out!

  • 4/5 Sarah W. 1 year ago on Google
Excellent, has a lot of equipment and it's all well maintained. The pool, hot tubs and steam room are lovely. Only gripes is I wish there was a proper place to lock up a bike, and that it would be nice if they played music in the pool.

Very great experience. Greg was a great and helpful staff member. Showed me how to use many of the equipment. Gave me well detailed explanations on various questions. Overall he is a great fella. Highly recommend him for a pay rise

Five star gym reduced to three - air conditioning upstairs has been broken for nigh on a year which is no problem except in summer. The male toilets could do with a couple of quid spent on it, a start would be to repair the sensor for the urinal flush. A sudden influx of ignorant members that leave taps turned on in the toilets, walking back into the changing rooms piss wet through from the showers making the floors slippery. Also leaving Plates that they have personally loaded onto machines and barbells left for someone else to pack away when they've finished. There was one lad who kept on top of this and he did a great job of keeping the gym floor tidy but no body cares about it now.

Based on my experience today relaxing Sunday afternoon swim NOT. Very noisy baby/toddler swim class taking place. Back to back so no ‘respite’. One swim lane closed off due to broken tile. 2nd spa out of order (for months now) but to top it off a used nappy left in shower area. Beyond disgusting. Probably better standards at local leisure centre. I will add though that the staff here are fabulous. But PLEASE review the toddler swim classes. A bit of peace in the pool would be welcome. Maybe make Sunday afternoons baby free or open later for adults only 🙏

Absolutely wonderful gym with top equipment. I happily travel from Bedford to Milton Keynes to use this gym when I can. Reason not a 5 star is due to the shower facilities. They are not bad at all but not as good as the FF in Bedford.

First impressions are that I have joined a good gym. It could be better if it had more spin classes during the mid week mornings. Unless you are willing to get up mega early there are no spin classes for you.

  • 5/5 Rizwan M. 9 months ago on Google
Fitness First in Milton Keynes is by far the best gym in MK, the equipment is far better than other gyms, it doesn’t tend to get overly busy at peak times. The staff are helpful and friendly and the gym goers are also great people. The swimming pool is great as well as the sauna room. The hot tub does get busy although there are two but you rarely ever see both available.

Nice facilities lovely staff lots to like at gymfinity its great for my kids. The parking situation is a huge drawback during peak hours. I used the W2 car park as an overflow to drop my daughter off for Gymnastics and got fined £100 for a 17 minutes incursion (moved the car once she was safely inside). The governments 'trying' to cap the price gouging from MK1 Parking but there isn't really any contingency. You can use the RingGo app to pay for the W2 carpark but ONLY if you pay in advance so you have to park to get on your phone to pay for parking, which breaks the whole concept of parking and paying.

Recently rejoined after having been a pre pandemic member with DW and it's great to be back. I'm a daytime user and there are a great choice of classes and it's very clean and very friendly. Super people leading the classes and so much better now the cafe is back, although the cakes are too nice 😂

There is a gym pretty much on every corner. BUT, Fitness first Milton Keynes stands out from all the rest (in a good way) ! Not just because the gym is spacious with a really good selection of equipment, but everyone who both work there and train there create a fun relaxed atmosphere to train in. I would recommend giving them a try to see for yourself.

After my first week I'm generally pleased with the facilities. Not too impressed with the staff. Was never offered a tour even though there was 4 people round reception not doing much so I had to find my own way around gym. Other than that it's a decent gym and fairly priced

I used to be a member before lockdown when it was DW and have now joined Fitness First. From the first day I walked in, I was welcomed by really happy, friendly staff. They gave me a complimentary lock for the locker and set it up for me, explained the facilities and closing times etc, really nice! Everytime I walk on or leave staff members are really friendly and polite which goes a long way I think. The facilities are top of the range, clean and mostly new. Swimming pool facilities kept clean and steam room is great too. Really glad I joined.

Love every part of this gym, the staff are super friendly, approachable and down to earth. The equipment is fresh and has a great cafe inside with a pool. Not sure you can possibly want anything else from a place to attain health. Classes are always full or people and good energy. highly recommend

Fitness first is the best gym in Milton Keynes handsdown. The machines they have for body building, plate machines and they’re awesome and kept very well.;The staff are fantastic they can have a joke with you a laugh with you and are very professional. If you have any type of question you just need to ask and they will help you out.The CAFE what’s inside the gym has everything you need from breakfasts to protein shakes to meals to coffees they do every little thing.Everything is made very well very nice people as well they are very pleasant. The locker rooms are kept immaculate and very clean with showers that you control.Ya the pool could be a little deeper but its fine. So all round a Excellent gym. I have been to gyms all around the world and I can say hands down one of the best gyms I have seen and worked out in.Thank you for taken your time to read this review. Thanks SCOTTISH.

Great gym. It reopened 6 months ago as Fitness First and that company have really invested in it well. All new equipment, great pool/jacuzzi/steam room area and friendly knowledgable staff. The classes are my favourite part! It is kept very clean and it’s easy to park - what’s not to like?

  • 3/5 Steve H. 2 years ago on Google
Nice new few additions to the gym since taking over from everlast ,but they got rid of some real good equipment. Especially the curved skillmill, the best piece of equipment in the gym

Did the ‘tour’ and used the pool - this gym is now ‘under new management’ - and it shows! Brand new equipment, great facilities, good exercise spaces and plenty of lockers. Parking is easy (and free), and they also have a Cafe, which closed at 2 pm, but we will be using it next time we go. All classes can be booked on-line and really easy to navigate their app. Staff were great and the manager Kirsty showed us round. We joined immediately.

I like it. Good equipment...nice facilities and very clean. The carrot of a swim dangled after a workout helps as well. My only gripe is the kids swimming lessons which in itself is fine but parents feel the need to get in the way and stand around the poolside, usually in the showers. I also see some of them using the sauna and pool whilst there kids are having lessons.

  • 5/5 Steven G. 2 years ago on Google
Great facility and staff were very good with the kids. Has a very good time here

  • 5/5 Nicholas H. 2 years ago on Google
Great gym I just use the swimming pool which is fantastic with steam room and jacuzzi. Everything very clean and tidy. The healthy cafe very good with very helpful staff. I love the berry blast and the orange health drink. All the staff in the gym will always help and answer any questions you may have.
