Worst gym of all times. Always dirty. Don’t have paper towels in bathroom. 50% of the machines are broken. Worst part is once you get their membership you can’t cancel at the counter. They made the process so hard so you don’t cancel the membership. At This location you can’t find any dumbbells any time of the year, machines are broken throughout the whole year. It’s better to go to planet fitness then coming here because this is super dirty. Sauna and steam room does not work either. I got the membership to use the sauna and steam room but it would be out of order 2 weeks each month. They don’t have central ac or heater so it gets super hot in summer. I’m attaching pics of machines and weigh lifting area where I never able to find the weights I wanted to use.

This is the worst gym I have ever seen so far. They run a fraud company. They have tons of hidden charges that they will never let you know. They will only advertise $9 charges but additionally you will be charged annually for maintenance, cancellation and many more, so your total gym fees will be like $100 or so. They have tons of hidden policies and when you ask them about it once you are cheated they will have no answer but to say “you will have to go to court for that”. Their equipments are old and you will definitely get a better gym at a good deal. Facilities, trainers and infrastructure is very bad. Edit: they are lying to call back within 72 hours. I sent them an email but I received no call even after 1 week of sending them a detailed email. I called the corporate but they will make you hold for half hour to talk to a representative and then without listening to you they will disconnect the call. They have very poor customer service. Such a fraud company. Beware of XSport fitness center.

I highly recommend to ask the members about their experience and make deep search before choosing this gym. Unfortunately my experience was very bad. I enrolled with basic membership in December 2022 for 10$/month. After six months they started to charge me 15$ without any notice, and I discovered that very late. They charge annual fee for maintenance and it’s a joke because they call it “maintenance” but I didn’t see any real maintenance, for one year I have never seen single shower without missing or totally damaged handle. The gym In general it’s not clean and always smells weird. The cardio machines are another joke they are attached with disabled entertainment system that doesn’t work and many of these machines they don’t function probably especially with the incline level. I met many members and they were not happy with the service. Glad to cancel after one year. Hope they get better with the time.

I need to start filming some of my interactions with the staff here. When you to the back of the facility on hot summer days (and even worse was during covid…) the temperatures are sweltering and you smell every person next to you. I mention it to staff and i was told “not my problem” by some beefcake and today i was told “we cant do anything about it” no effort to try anything like cracking the back door. Staff here sits on their phones all day and literally don’t care at all. What else… i can continue… the roof is leaking… the equipment is always in a dangerous state of disrepair. Dont dare step foot in the filthy locker rooms. Ive held my opinion back because i plan on continuing to go here because the alternatives are vastly more expensive. So i know what you might be thinking… you get what you pay for right? Well no. I understand that this is a low cost gym but at least be respectful to the patrons you pack inside like livestock. Ive tripped over weights that yes i know are left around by careless gym-goers and not staff… but the lack of care and respect for customers is what appalls me. I once saw a young kid misuse a machine to the point of seriously harming himself while staff watched with amusement. ———— 8/4/22 UPDATE Was very pleased to see the gym today with large units for cooling in there and lots effort going on to fix up the dump. VASTLY improved over past visits. Still gross patrons but the business can’t help that. Heading in the right direction so adding some stars. Very happy to see that!

They hardly ever welcome you once you get in. Usually busy with stuff like, playing basketball behind the front desk or just pretending that they don't see you, so they don't have to say hello. The sauna upstairs didn't work last time I tried to use it. Also people go with their training cloths on in the sauna. When it is packed people that go there to train are chewing gums, very often prefer to sit while they are resting between sets, so you end up waiting and having to figure out alternatives of your exercises. Zero common sense.

Edit: They give the same corporate copy-and-paste answer to everyone who leaves a bad review, and nothing is ever done. My pictures are of how there's garbage and attachments just everywhere next to busted equipment, and how someone left about 150lbs on the floor next to trash. Do not buy a membership here, and honestly, I shouldn't pine for Planet Fitness, but I do. And it is cheaper. 1) The gym's patrons have the worst etiquette imaginable. Never wiping down machines, never reracking weights, and supersetting all of the most commonly used free weights. The staff does not care and not once have I seen anyone who works here un-racking unattended equipment. 2) The locker rooms are beyond repulsive. 3) There's a lack of bumper plates, so if you deadlift, prepare to make some noise. 4) Their equipment goes along the lines of: everyone is either using this equipment and there's a line, or no one has touched this piece of machinery in years and it's just taking up space. 5) The roof leaks during heavy rain--and the solution is to put out buckets. 7) Given the history of reviews here, don't expect things to change.

I wish I could do negative stars. This place is filthy. Literally saw blood spots never get cleaned up for months before I decided to leave. I saw the blood go from red to black. This is a biohazard. Equipment is constantly broken and never repaired. Staff is completely unprofessional. My sinuses use to be clogged all the time, but since I've stopped going here, no more sinus problems. The air conditioning is never on in the morning either. I wouldn't go to this gym in a biohazard suit. A health inspector needs to go and shut this place down.

The quintessential example of a fitness club that invests none of its revenue back into the business. The model seems to be "take your money and run." The sign on the front says 24 hours. That is a flat out lie. They're operating 12 hours on the weekends 18 hours on the first four weekdays, and 16 hours on Friday. In an attempt to save money, there is no towel service here. For many years I've been a member, preceding even the pandemic, some equipment hasn't been repaired the entire time. Most of the elliptical machines wobble as your stride and have bumps and catches because the internal mechanism is damaged or loose. Whether or not the attached monitors work is hit or miss. Nearly all have some component that's cracked, broken, or missing. Recently several treadmills were replaced with new models. Perhaps a quarter of the total. There is a rock wall that has never once been used the entire time. In fact, it was abandoned in favor of placing more fitness equipment. Nearly ever machine is in a state of disrepair. Labels are missing, seats do not lock into place, rubber grips are shredded away. Weight machines and grips have metal so worn away they are in desperate need of replacement. The locker rooms are utterly littered with trash. The floors are constantly wet. Lockers are all rusting out. A good many have lock-loops that are torn away or mangled so badly they can't be used. Seating is minuscule and there is no personal space to change. It constantly smells. At the sinks the paper towel dispensers nearly never work and the soap dispenser barely function. The showers are completely gross. It seems normal for people to shave their pubic hair and leave it clogging the drains, or leave behind their empty toiletry containers, and sometimes even their clothes. The shower knobs have no marking for hot and cold and it takes several minutes to figure out the water temperature. Water pressure is abysmal for what I can only assume is yet another attempt to skimp on costs. The soap dispensers are all barely working and filled with some kind of foaming soap that leaves a person feeling unclean. Finally, the culture of the club is trash. There have been fist fights, teenagers wrestling in the locker rooms, people taking pictures and walking around with video calls in the locker rooms, nobody wipes down the equipment after their use - you'll have to wipe off the puddles on all of the equipment. Rarely does anybody even wash their hands after using the bathroom before heading out to the gym to use equipment. Expect to wait to use any equipment while surf their phone for 10 minutes between sets and then bang out 10 reps at 10 lbs in 20 seconds before the next rest. tl;dr - a smelly, unkempt, disgusting place that doesn't invest in a good experience, claiming to be a 24 hour gym that clearly isn't.

This place is a mess! Front desk staff constantly on phone watching videos don’t care who is in or out. Management doesn’t exist. Garage all over the place, free weights all over the place, nobody cares. Lack of free weights they got 2 sets of each size of dumbbells for entire gym!!! This place is a joke. The only reason they still got customers because a lot of customers live in 5 minutes distance from the gym. I would advise everyone to find different gym specially if you don’t care drive extra mile or two.

Not the best gym around machines often out of order, locker rooms are pretty smelly so I avoid using the lockers. Overall the gym is pretty outdated really needs a makeover. Staff are not the friendliest, also there is no wife in the gym for customers to use which is crazy. You better off looking for another gym even if you pay more.

I've been going to the gym for a really long time. Since 2010. I loved coming here because of the people that were here and the people I would play basketball with. Now the gym is a hot mess but it's still something I guess. The rims are always bent and sometimes the lighting is way off. Sometimes the rims take forever to be fixed. I understand that it's not xsports fault because of the way people treat this place, But do something for a change. A Suggestion I make is installing security cameras inside the basketball courts and keep members accountable for damaging your property. The amount of money you guys keep spending on basketball rims could be used towards a new security system to keep members accountable. I also know the history of members stealing others belongings from inside the basketball courts and get away with it and the staff can't do anything and say "we don't have cameras in there so we don't know who stole your stuff" It's not fair for others who pay for their membership and expect bare minimum for a basketball court and receive nothing close to it.

Great gym! could use a better culture for the staffing. (The culture of the staff needs to be different than the gym bro culture at the gym, imo that's why all these things are happening there that bring a negative vibe etc.) I decided to see for myself and yes i was right. I made a scene because I know the owner I'm pretty sure I rescued him from a bar one day or it was the owner of planet fitness etc. But overall I met him again at the location.. He is a very hard working individual. He deserves better from us the community and the staff! The cops came and everything. I mean like before another body builder tried to fight/argue with me and I had enough of that. Help these body builders get laid! But I wrote on my last review there is alot of body builder angry men that want to run the gym. I see them going around the staff all the time and getting inside the staff areas like they own it. Imo they don't know how to get the women there, I mean they are competing with teenagers. They are alot of kids from 6 year old kids to 17 year olds. Its a cool gym imo. I just had to leave I can't help keep it non violent and cleaner/ and less sex driven anymore! I made friends from the regional manager before covid, to the new younger managers except the new one he really can't have friends imo. I forget his name. But I miss bianca, I miss Dan, I miss Jhon, and even a new Christian guy Matt. And just so you know I have alot of cousins that go to that gym and teenage friends that go as well all below the age of 17 years old and one of them told me that the women are really creepy and are GROOMERS. I myself about 3-4 years ago I got grabbed by one so I know from experience the creepy women that go to that gym. But overall a great place. The yoga instructor is one of the best yoga instructors I have ever had. I have done yoga for over 9 years now and she is really really good!! But a word of caution! IF YOUR YOUNG OR A PARENT, JUST BE CAREFUL THERE ARE COUGARS ON THE HUNT THERE! AND YOUNG GIRLS THAT WILL CHEAT ON YOU FOR A OLDER MEN WITH MONEY!!

Austin Moy Xsport trainer changed my life, my health & my confidence. I had been working out by myself prior to training with Austin. I had 0 knowledge and wasted a whole year trying to figure it out by myself. Austin got me results FAST. This is a picture I took today vs a picture of me before training. I thank XSport and their amazing staff for getting me on the right track on my fitness journey.

I've been member here for almost 13 years. I like it because it's convenient with their 24/7 hours. However, this club is in serious need of an upgrade. They've started updating their equipment (about dog gone time), but men's facilities need a serious over haul. New lockers would be nice as they're near up and rusty.

I have been going to Xsport for the past 11 years and something I have noticed over the past couple years is: they do not turn on the Air Con in the summer months. It’s not enjoyable and takes more effort to work out. Especially on days when it’s in the high 90s, when you walk in, you can’t even notice a temperature difference from the outside. I know this location has made a lot of budget cuts like creating different memberships levels and removing towels. However, it seems like the budget of this place is poorly managed if they aren’t trying to keep the place cool to “save” money.

This gym is actually one of my favorites, but for the last two days I received horrible service. I’ve been trying to reach a manager since yesterday and either my hold time is over five minutes or managers don’t return calls. The reason I gave three stars was because of Angel! He is an AMAZING trainer! Boxing is now a passion.

Worst gym ever. Half of the machines are broken and never get fixed. Front desk is very rude. Poor customer service. Smells terrible inside the lockers and around gym equipment. Air condition wasnt working for half the summer. Not quite sure what happend but it used to be better a couple years ago !

Easily the worst XSport I’ve been to. It feels like half of the machines are broken. Repairs are done hastily by overworked maintanence staff, and then machines break again a week later. There are random dips and sunk-in spots on the weightroom floor- not exactly ideal or safe for an area where people are lifting heavy weights. Cleanliness is an afterthought. Staff is generally polite but clearly under-trained and under-paid. There’s a rock-climbing wall at the back of the gym that acts solely as decoration. I’ve been to this gym maybe ~500 times, and not once have I seen someone climbing.

I must preface this review by saying I love using my Black Premium membership to work out at all the different X Sport location. It is sad that not all locations are held to the same high standards as others. I prefer to give 5 star reviews praising them, but it's not always the case. At first, everything seemed to be good. The sauna and steam room was working, and I had no issue with any of the exercise equipment. Then I started noticing how the locker room had fruit flies all over the place. Based on how many people was there in the middle of the night, I can tell they get crazy busy during the day. When it's like that there needs to be someone on the clock AT ALL TIMES wiping something down. There was a cleaning crew that eventually came in, but it wasn't until I was finally finished and leaving. Sadly I will not be returning to this location for 2 reasons. One being, I read some of the previous reviews, and I'm not the only one dissatisfied with the unprofessional efforts of management. It's a culture of incompetence that provides these results. Secondly, the water pressure in the showers was non existent. It was a great way to put a damper on what was an overall was a great gym session. What makes it worse is there was a shower that was broken and constantly running. I don't believe in wasting resources. I tried turning it off, but those janky shower heads are primed to be broken. If I was to guess, that shower has been running for weeks. I pay my membership fees and it felt like my money was going down the drain watching that water run the entire time.

This gym is okay if u don't care about customer service. The people that work there are socializing with one another and ignore the members. I have paid over $700 in one year and their pool was shut down for 5mths and they dont.compesate you for the time we were unable to utilize the pool. I am disabled and 2 knee replacements could only use the pool. Employees change every month, they can't keep employees so nobody is ever held accountable. I have been there only 3xs and each time they're front desk people can't find me and my membership which causes major anxiety. II ask for a manager and only the operations manager is empathetic and shows great customer service . Angel the current general manager is terrible he told me we were on the phone for 10min so he has to go......wow!!!! I dnt know how xsport in Niles chooses their managers but that gym sucks b3cause of their employees.

I’ll be honest the only reason I still have a membership here is because it’s the closest gym to where I live. The membership price has increased $10 since I first started here 2 years ago and there is no sign that the extra money is going anywhere besides their pockets. Half of the dumbbells are missing, some broken machines. Worst part is other people leaving their weights all around the gym, obviously can’t do anything about that myself, but at every other gym I’ve gone to the staff makes rounds around the gym and picks up after them. Staff here just chills at the front. Won’t be here much longer

I have been a member here for YEARS. Equipment is consistently broken and you can tell them what’s broken, they’ll put a sign up for a few days, then take it down and you use the machine only for it to have the same issue. I went to renew my membership and the person who signed me up signed me up for 5 personal training sessions without my knowledge after declining personal training sessions, adding on an extra $190 to my bill. Never will return to any XSport due to this.

Went here for close to 2 years. Decent gym. Stopped going recently as I changed gyms so I went in at 8:15PM today to cancel my membership. The guy at the desk refused to cancel my membership and said they only cancel between 9AM-8PM. Wouldn’t make an exception even tho it was just 15 minutes over their time. I work majority of the day and find it very difficult to leave work and come out to cancel. Waste of a trip Edit: Corporate saw this review, and immediately reached out thru phone to help me cancel. Very friendly customer service. Thank you!

The service is so poor that I would put zero stars if it was possible. Membership cost high, monthly payment is unjustifiably high and has raised recently but service on the same low level. Showers are dirty with old curtains, there is rubbish in the sauna cabins, the tiles are unpleasantly dirty, the pool is also not often cleaned, the jacuzzi tub in the pool does not work for a long time. The staff are not competent and just want to sell as much as they can even fraudulently. I had membership for more than 1 year and paid the "Premium One" fee plus Annual Maintenance Fee and wanted to cancel my membership but I was charged $10 for something. When I sent my question about this charge via their "Contact Us" page I've not been hearing any feedback although more than 1 month has passed. I personally don't recommend this provider.

LOST IT'S LUSTER! I have been on & off member of this XSport Fitness gym in Niles, IL for more than 15 years. The services and condition of the equipment have been deteriorating fast. Simple things like refilling hand sanitizers or fixing broken water fountain take days. Event after reporting the problem, equipment remain out of service for weeks. Ventilations in the Men's locker room is horrible and as a result it's awfully stinky. Basket ball court Exit doors are corroded so much so that rodents can comfortably travel back and forth. When it rains, roof leaks and effect can be felt in multiple locations in the workout area. I sincerely hope they will turn it around and improve the service and experience of this gym to its glory!

In the past I cancelled my membership in person and they kept taking membership fees from my account. I made the mistake to join this club again and after their swimming pool was under renovation and I realized I never use the gym I cancelled my membership in person, signed a document for that. Several months after cancelling my membership, I noticed that they kept charging me. this club is the most dishonest business I know. I was told once by the guy who answers their phone (years ago) that when he was a member they did the same to him, kept taking money from his account after he cancelled his membership. They will steal your money and the only way to make them stop is to close the credit card. I remember in the past when this happened and I called this location, they told me you should do it in writing to the head quarter. as if going to the club in niles, meeting a membership specialist who does the cancellation and hands you a receipt of cancelation is useless. I will never join this club again. never.

Place is dirty not like it used to be, and majority of the staff is rude. Got completely ignored when I was paying for my drinks, when I asked a staff a question they got frustrated because they had to get off their phone, gave me an eye roll. They rarely refill the hand sanitizers. I can't speak for other xsport locations but if you're planning to join the one in niles, take your money somewhere else.

Don’t fall in trap for suna , hydro message or tan they never worked from last 3 years always management will lie to you they are bringing new or fixing. We as a customer don’t have any other option but this location close by just go with the flow. I came to the gym with the goal of losing weight, because no diets helped. I trained for hours, it was hard, but it was all worth it. The results were impressive, and only thanks to the competent approaches of the coach, namely Marissa, and his support, I achieved impressive results. I continue to train. After some time, my friends and acquaintances started coming to the gym with me. Now we train together and everyone is happy. Marissa is exactly the coach who will always support and help you make your diet and training right and you will lose weight quickly:))) very satisfied )) ) Marissa is the best

Back in October of 2022 I was very close to canceling my membership so decided to go to another location until I figured out what I was going to do. Fast forward to January-Feb (still with complaints) and now I have got to say that Tina (manager-I think) has been doing a fantastic job. All of complaints as far as cleaning, supplies and equipments were addressed in a timely matter. I must say, I was very rude the first time I spoke to her but she never let me feel it back and made sure i was comfortable at the Niles gym. Glad to say I’m back at Niles baby

Dino (manager) is very courteous and professional. He has great set of customer service skill especially when explaining the kind of plans XSport offers. Since I am new to the gym, if I ever have any questions or need help with anything Dino does not hesitate to resolve the issue. This location has good equipment and nice atmosphere.

Pros: The facility is in decent shape. Weight-training equipment is mostly good quality. Exercise areas are fairly clean. Cons: Many of the treadmills are broken and haven't been fixed in weeks/months. Men's locker room is pretty disgusting. And DO NOT get talked into getting personal training sessions. The guy who talked me into getting PT told me I'd get 4 sessions for $99. HOWEVER, on the contract, according to HQ, it said 3 sessions. Point is, these people are in sales. A lot of promises and reassurances are made verbally, but MAKE SURE you get these promises on paper, and read the contract carefully to make sure you're not getting scammed.
