regional pool has been closed people for months now and the regional members are allowed to use Hampton Premier which we pay premium rates for. I was talking to a lady in the only class I was able to get in and she pays £25 less than me a month as she has basic membership but allowed to use premier since regional for the last few months closed. Plus it’s so busy yesterday I couldn’t use any equipment couldn’t even get a drink the queue was so long , you are squeezing two massive gyms into one can't get into the class i have attended regularly for years, i am giving it a month to see how I feel before leaving.

People are just hanging around and the gym is busy at all times. I could not use the cable machine as there was a person moving from one equipment to another and totally selfish did not allow me to use the cables. Also the lifting area was disorganised with all weights mixed up and very busy. 3-4 people are occupying areas in the gym but only one does exercise…the rest are spectators of the big mess around. The smell is bad and there was no staff to organise things. This is not a premium gym and the lack of respect is everywhere. Such a disappointment and loose of time.

Wanted to find out why it’s so overcrowded lately. Regional gym members are allowed to use premier fitness at less than half the price we’re paying, is this a joke!????? Waited 20 minutes to get a treadmill. Waited 30 minutes to use the sauna. Insanely loud and rowdy with people swearing and shouting all the time. They refurbed the gym but seems like they had their eyes closed the whole time. Removed all of the mirrors from the abs area so you’ll only get a mirror in a studio or if you’re doing weights. You have 5 treadmills with tiny screens and 3 with decent sizes. What happened here? With the amount they charge for membership, you’d expect some decent standards. But they don’t care, why would they, typical arrogance. Despite the way it is managed, we have been longstanding members. Working long hours we attend regularly to work out and relax. This is simply not possible and unconscionable if others have access at reduced rates. We’re giving it a final week, if it doesn’t change we’re cancelling.

Impossible to book Aqua classes unless you book very early in the morning when booking opens- managed two out of eight this month = £23 per class! Staff keep saying they are looking into it, as since Central pool has been closed people with basic membership are allowed to use Hampton Premier which we pay premium rates for ! So currently very poor value if you can't get into the class you have attended regularly for years, can't use gym as inadequate supervision for health issues and other classes are unsuitable.

Sauna & pool are good, can't really complain. But the gym facilities are completely forgotten. Quite a few machines out of order and I've seen it being "serviced" for a month now. Some cable machines are not fully functional. Missing a lot of handles and if you find anything it's normally all over the place. Ropes are in terrible condition barely usable. And this costs 55£ a month. I moved to Peterborough from another city and this seriously disappointed me even though my previous gym had the oldest equipment, small facilities with falling roof but it didn't matter since everything was usable and gym had some etiquette and culture inside. 2 stars only for swimming pool, sauna and steaming room facilities.

Literally been coming here for years but looking into Changing gyms… love swimming but the last few times I’ve been here there’s been no lifeguard available to swim and the pool shuts an hour early on a Sunday for a deep clean… so annoying! Should communicate things better… if the gym says open til 7:30 on a Sunday… should be across the whole place, not everyone likes the gym or offer an alternative swimming place in place of this… also the cleanliness is slipping… starting to wipe my feet on the way out… standards and services offered is slipping with an increased pricing and reduced hours…. I think for the price they need to review this or offer later swimming somewhere else such as jack hunt or regional and then email out or text people… need to stay ahead of the game with the competition around.

I'm using this gym from long time and is getting worse and worse. The price for that broken equipment, sauna which is always out of use, limited lockers, unhappy stuff, it is not worthy at all. They need to be more focus on this what is going on at this gym as noone cares... Is more fitness then gym and they are focused on that. Strongly not recommending, not worthy

I can't knock the facilities, they're clean and well looked after. I do however feel it's a bit pricey for what you get. There's also a lot of ego walking around. Individuals who treat the sauna and steam room as if it's their personal area with no thought to anyone else.

Premier gym £55pm for what ? The gym okay couple of Good Classes a week but always full he booked a week b4 reserved for their regulars sort thing, Sauna/steam room goes out of order for few weeks at time until gets sorted and this happens every couple weeks, Looker rooms dont have coat hangers inside what a joke, staff knows about all this issues for months/years but nothing gets done about it.!! You pay the extra money for this extra perks but what's the point if you can not deliver the goods on regular basis 🤔. The gym or true gum for £20 pounds or less and you get the same benefits.

Sauna- steam roof both off at the same time for no reason for maintenance. Never been this long and management thinks members don’t realise that they just simply turn it off to save energy as those two consume a lot of £. Membership prices are still the same. Closing membership this month. The fact that asked management 3 different occasion when it would be fixed and as you expect for a date no one knows when, that is just blatant lie or just horrible management. That’s 3 memberships lost really including 2 of my friends. Hopefully they realise in time that a lot of people need sauna and steam room to use their facilities or sports that they doing need that to recover or drop water weight. I’m sure losing members is not as important as saving on your bills, which members pay. No logic.

Currently a member at this gym and won’t be for much longer… at current there is 3 machines out of order and inadequate air conditioning for the size of the gym - not good considering the £55 monthly membership. If your looking for a quietist gym, this is not the one - consistently busy I’ve found. On the plus side, staff are friendly and helpful.

This gym has a good ‘base’ of facilities but it needs money spent on it badly to make it a premier gym/health club as it is advertised. It has a pool, steam room/sauna, and a large gym with plenty of cardio machines and space for free weights etc. However, almost all of the machines are broken/damaged or worn down. Some you can’t even see the numbers on the weights because they have worn away. All of the weight plates are mismatched, old, tatty, the rubber falling off. I feel like for how much this place charges they are ripping you off and not reinvesting any funds back into the gym.

Getting back into swimming this facility has a lovely pool, no deep end but a good depth for end to end lane swim. Two lanes in operation and a larger area for families and youngsters to enjoy the water . Sauna and steam room at the end of the pool, good locker room facilities. We'll staffed and has cafe facilities. Not a gym user myself but has a large gym upstairs from the pool. Would recommend this to anyone

I have been a member for a number of years but am noticing that it's going rapidly downhill. The air con in the studios is broken every other week so doing any cardio classes in those makes it borderline dangerous in this heat. There are holes in the ceiling in the studios, the changing rooms are like saunas (I imagine there's some ventilation issue), the shower cubicles are dated and need some urgent TLC. When mentioning the air con issues to the reception, they seem completely uninterested. Not even an apology was offered. Their attitude was "well just deal with it". Absolutely unacceptable considering the fees they charge. I will be considering my options as I no longer enjoy my experience at Premier Fitness.

This gym is dreadful value for money. The steam room and sauna rarely work. If you complain they just block your email address and cease all communication. Equipment regularly our of order, place is really dirty and staff wear outside shoes in the pool area. Don't waste your money.

Came here for a work thing as no other swimming pools are open in Peterborough, £15 for a swim but you do get to use the whole place if you wanted but had no time, the facilities are really nice, if you can afford it then I'd recommend joining as a member.

Not bad at all. Uber busy in evenings and lacks of jacuzzi. Very pricey as well, 55 quid a month-like damn, even London gets cheaper gyms. Nice facilities tho. 4 stars for price and lack of jacuzzi

Nothing special in that gym, nothing out of the ordinary, just an ok gym...shower facilities could be improved in my opinion. Loads of members who either don't know what they are doing or teenagers occupying equipment just to take thousands of selfies or whatever they are doing there. Free parking for members is a plus.

absolutely not child-friendly, very unprofessional and annoying one of the so-called lifeguards, children are not welcome there !!! general dirt that does not bother anyone from the service as well as dirty people entering without a shower straight into the swimming pool from the locker room and sauna !!! no hygiene and no requirement of any kind.

Easy parking just outside. Nice clean changing rooms and showers. Only use the pool which is always busy even with 2 dedicated swimming lanes. Sauna and steam room work perfectly fine when they are in operation. Health suite been closed for a long time now and no indication of when opening up again.

Fantastic gym! I love everything about it. It feels bright and airy throughout. The staff is lovely and very helpful. They have a good size swimming pool, a sauna and steam room. I love the smaller details like the free 10 seconds swimwear dryer, the storage cupboards by the pool for our towel and shampoo, the large lockers, the nice smelling shower gel dispenser, the warm water... It's a fair contract as well as it is monthly unlike competition that ties us for a year. The equipment in the gym is very modern as well.

I love this gym but the cleanliness is slipping, changing rooms are quite dirty in the evening, the weights area is only maintained when certain staff are on, sometimes theres a sewer like smell in the pool area. I won't stop going to the gym but the standards need to get back to what they used to be

The gym area needs updating. I bought a day pass to try the gym out, as I wanted a gym which has a sauna and related facilities. I was dissapointed to see that much of the gym equipment was unusable. How can a “premier” gym allow equipment to go c2 weeks without being repaired? The benches are chewed up, cables snapped, dumbbells looking very worn out.

This gym seems well kept and managed. There are a good variety of classes. A well equipped gym. A steam room , sauna and swimming pool. I'm fully enjoying my membership. My only issue is that when they've swapped the male/female changing rooms for maintenance, you notice the men's are not as clean and the soap canisters aren't topped up or are sometimes broken.

I love the gym here. Very nice staff and the pool is lovely. There is a sauna and steam room to use. They were broken at one point but now it has been fixed so there hasn't been any problems. The changing rooms are spacious and feel clean. The cafe is nice but sometimes it closes early which is a bit annoying for me but not the worst thing in the world. The gym looks good but I don't use it so couldn't say for sure. Accessible Accessible for disabled for the pool.

Best mainstream gym in Peterborough, even when compared to the private sector! Will cater for all members requirements from ‘new-year-resolution’ members to dedicated athletes. There’s so many machines here you could say they are the Terminators of gyms. I’ll definitely ‘be back’!

I like that the pool is fairly shallow, personally think the changing area lets it down for the price of membership, but the showers are good. I don’t use the gym but the teenager attends junior gym and enjoys it

  • 4/5 Joao J. 1 year ago on Google
It's a nice gym, clean, great staff, good sized swimming pool, sauna and steam room, physio and café inside, spacious car park. however for a premier gym, I would expect a better maintenance of the equipment.

  • 4/5 Alex D. 1 year ago on Google
Great gym, friendly staff, sometimes showers were dirty and the locker room was smelly. But the most annoying thing for me is that some fathers bring their daughters (up to 9-10 years old) with them in the lockers where lots of men are naked and this is really not ok, management should do something about it. I’ll change to 5 stars when they do.

  • 4/5 Brian C. 1 year ago on Google
Well stocked gym with friendly staff who generally greet patrons on entering. On the pricier side for gym membership however this is reflected on what is provided and I believe is good value for money. Blue light card discount that they offer is appreciated and also have good choice of classes etc for children especially in school holidays. Would be a 5 star review however some minor health and safety concerns when visiting knocks a little off

  • 1/5 Ian Silva (. 1 year ago on Google
Unnecessarily over priced. I paid around £15 just for adult entry for swimming. When I questioned about the price the CSR advised that they are not able to charge just for just swimming session and they have to include gym facility use. The changing room is clean and pool is not deep. I am 6"2 and the pool and the pool is not deep enough to warrant the price charged.

  • 3/5 Charlotte 2 years ago on Google
Very busy Place. Its ok. Some good deals to trial it there. Sauna has been out of action for around 2 weeks, Its just ok if you like that sort of thing, pool is fairly warm which is good, huge gym but full every time i have been.

  • 3/5 Chris N. 1 year ago on Google
Great gym , pool is nice and clean/ pool lanes but since the fast slow swim lanes have been removed it’s becoming hard to do swim sets . Steam rooms great when it works, lockers are like a lottery as most of them don’t work.
