😠 This will be a simple but clear review. Trainer signed me up on a deal which seemed great and said I could cancel after one month, turns out he signed me up to a 12 month contract and I couldn't do anything to prove it. Had to pay for en entire year even after I had left the area. Do not recommend. People often mention staff, great, friendly, good, equipment, clean, recommend, helpful, months, time,

They tried to threaten me with legal action when I ended my membership here. I was up-to-date with my fees. I pointed out that I'd followed their process to end my membership, and they backed down when my MP got involved. Avoid at all costs.

We wanted to cancel our contract because we've moved and they requested us to send them the flight confirmations. We have send the boarding passes. After that they didn't answered and after two months we founded out from our previous landlords that we received a letter from a credit recovery company. We have contacted First Fitness again and they told us that those are not considered flight confirmations without telling us this thing first time when we send it and what kind of other confirmations is acceptable. As far as I know and I've flight many times, there are no other confirmations necessarily when you fly. We have send them more than one week ago all the forwarded correspondence from the flight company that we've used but still no answer. We are really affected by this situation and we want to solve the problem as soon as possible.

Glad I know this gym, everything is what we expect from a gym this side/price. Staff is really clever and does help a lot when needed. Never had any issue what so ever with system or sanity/cleaning. Would recommend anyone !

Nice location with 2 main rooms with equipment, it could be a but busy on weekends

Unfortunately the gym is extremely small, weight area is very untidy aswell. This seems more focused towards office works looking to blow off steam rather than someone dedicated to muscle building. Shower room is very weird with no doors & locker area is designed so you're on top of each other. Personal trainers looked like they needed a diet aswell as a professional trainer to get them into shape. Staff didn't seem friendly either. I'd recommend heading 5 minutes down the road to London Bridge if you have time which is a 5star gym compared to this.

After being a member for almost 20 years they made me pay 2 months extra membership when I cancelled and moved to Australia. I cancelled on the 5th of October and needed to pay for October AND November! Terrible customer service.

Horrendous don't even bother as I got there the lady behind the desk was having a full blown argument with a customer after 20 minutes of hearing them argue I realised why because she is s rude she didn't take any notice of us and was answering so abruptly we came for the trial and she made us sit in the corner to wait for someone but we didn't know why or who were waiting for after half hour we decided to leave and take our business elsewhere she even looked at us whilst leaving without bothering to ask like she was happy that we were out of her hair never will return to fitness first .

Ok for the money, with lots of benches and dumbells, but since the neighbouring club closed it gets very busy after work. The boom box used for classes on the gym floor is way too loud for such a small space and means it's impossible to work out in peace, even if you have your own music and headphones, as you can still hear it.

This is the best gym I have been too, the staff are highly professional, knowledgable, friendly and helpful. Always available if you need to ask them advice and it is always clean and tidy. They adapt to accommodate your needs, goals and training, giving you the opportunity combine your gym with your busy life. The classes are amazing and I always feel like I’ve done a real workout when I do them. Great gym, good support and all round exceptional Fitness First. PT seessions would highly recommend.

this gym is the worst of all the GYM brands I've seen in my life. do not respect their customers, they still have broken appliances and do not fix them quickly. in addition to all this when you close your Cuba contract, you are abusing and forcing you to pay one month's extra pay. I recommend that you do not use this GYM brand

I found this gym spontaneously, it's almost like a hidden in a train station. The variety and quality of equipment is amazing as well as the staff. I went for a day pass and Dan went above and beyond, very helpful, you can tell he cares about the place. 100 percent worth it to train here before or after catching your train.

I am thoroughly disappointed and outraged! I signed up for a free 2 week trial and I begrudgingly gave my bank details in case I wanted to join. Due to work I have not been once and I was told if I emailed during the two week period then I would not be charged a membership. Shockingly I look in my bank this morning and they have taken the money from my account. I get constant responses when signing up but when I email to say cancel I never hear back. This deduction has set me back and before Christmas! I am absolutely fuming and want a full refund as I have numerous emails as proof. I was hoping this gym was different but obviously not! If someone declines to join don’t ignore them !!!!!!

Very impressed so far! Became a member only very recently (May 2023), but so impressed by the enthusiasm, positive welcoming attitude, helpfulness, and friendliness of the five staff members I met (four on day one, when I was considering joining and was given an unhurried tour, and a fifth one today). All, without exception, conveyed a priority to provide the best possible customer experience. Gym has the complete standard equipment you'd expect, and although there isn't any spare floor space I didn't feel I was in a cramped environment when working out. Standard and cleanliness of the showers, toilets, changing area, and sauna is all very good. (Comment relates only to my assessment of male areas, of course!). Nice to see dumbbells replaced after use, and not left strewn across the floor (unlike a large and expensive previous gym, where I was a member). Great location of this gym - actually inside the Liverpool Street Station building!

It's pretty small so equipment is limited. If you get there early enough you can get your workout done before all the benches are taken. The staff are nice and the locker room and showers are always clean, but then I am there super early so you'd hope so

The gym is pretty tiny but don't let that turn you off. There's always been enough space for workouts in the morning and most evenings. I do avoid Monday around 6pm as it's jammed. Staff are really friendly. Plenty of lockers and hot showers. Been a member for about 6weeks now and really pleased. Thanks ?

I signed up for a 6 months contract and cancelled online when 6 months was up. I’m still being charged and chased for payments 3 months later. As I already cancelled my account, I can’t log in as a member to cancel again obviously. I’m stuck in this loop of debits, chaser emails telling me I’m behind on payments and not having a way to put a stop to this chaos. Lastly, the gym is in no way better than a 30 quid Puregym. In fact Puregym is unexpectedly better and has an app that actually works and provides useful info. I was a member in the Middle East - Fitness First UK is a just the brand slapped on poor quality gym. Lipstick on a pig basically.

I signed up to a contract stating that I could cancel my membership if my 'situation' changes (If I move address or leave my job). I've done both of those, I'm now nowhere near a fitness first and hence have attempted to cancel my membership on three occasions times. The first time I walked into a gym and cancelled it, only to find out 3 months later that the receptionist paused my membership for 3 months and have now started taking out monthly payments. I then tried to cancel online but they want me to pay off the rest of my contract (even though the agreement was that I could cancel at no cost if my situation changes). I then tried to cancel it over the phone with head office (on 3 separate occasions), each time I was told someone would call me back 'tomorrow', it's been 4 weeks now and no still no call back or email. Just a couple of other things to note, when I first signed up I was told that there would be no joining fee (a January offer), they then charged me a £20 joining fee in February lool. (this actually made me chuckle so it didn't bother me too much). Then I was told I would get the commission back if I referred friends etc, I referred around 5 people who joined up and still no commission refund. I thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt but fast forward 6 months and I've realised this gym and most people who work here (that I've communicated with so far) are absolutely atrocious. Don't get blind-sighted by good deals as these are only a way of pulling you in, and then the rest is history for them.

My body and mind have benefited greatly from training at Fitness First Liverpool Street. The convenient location, attentive trainers, and cleanliness is hard to beat too! Over the past two months, I’ve tried out a bunch of classes and have some favorites to recommend! :) - SPARR with Taariq and Amber. A constant class in my split! Taariq and Amber have managed to incorporate a balance of boxing and cardio, which I find to be a perfect challenge. The environment created in SPARR is fun, stress relieving, and empowering. The trainers provide consistent source of motivation with their words and energy, as well as helpful form corrections to ensure you’re maximizing the workout. I highly encourage everyone to try it out! - TRAX with Tyrese. This class definitely attacks my willpower in the early morning and challenges my body in every way, but I’ve seen great transformations in regards to my strength and stamina. Tyrese has infectious energy that motivates you to persevere through the pain of his exercises and the accompanying mental resistance. Big fan of this class (and Tyrese)! - FF HIIT and FF Core with Mike. I really enjoy the structure of Mike’s HIIT workout and the variety of movements he includes. He does a brilliant job of encouraging me to push my limits through increasing my weight and maintaining my intensity till the last rep! Right after HIIT, his core class is difficult, but in the best way. Mike has a vibrant personality that shines through his love for fitness! - Bootcamp and Recharge with Victor. I really like how Victor structures his Bootcamp workouts because they target every muscle in the body and I never find myself to be bored. A must try class is his Recharge class, which is a mixture of stretching and dynamic mobility exercises. Recharge has improved my athletic performance and my body in general. Victor is super friendly and has such a passion for health and wellness, which is evident through his knowledge and thoughtful approaches!

Fantastic gym. This is a rare find. It packs a lot of machines and equipment, has fantastic classes which I am now hooked on and super trainers: Amber, Tariq, Victor, Arun, Rosemary, Joe,the list goes on. They will work you hard and motivate you. Everyone learns your name on day one and you feel like you are among friends and family. Come at lunch time - super classes though I hear mornings are pretty good too!

Located snugly within Liverpool Station, the gym is ideal for anyone wanting a quick workout before heading back home after work or uni. The gym is well maintained and equipped with all the quintessential equipments in addition to shower rooms and sauna. The staff are very friendly and lead regular training sessions which can be booked in advance from the App. Overall a very good experience.

The location is great and equipments are more than enough. However, it is its friendly and easygoing staffs that make it so special and attractive. To be more specific, Josh is unbelievably friendly and helpful when I visited the place for my first time and made me feel like I am already a member there even though I wasn’t.

The vibe in the gym is great and location is ideal. I appreciate the help Victor always offers ensuring I am doing the exercises with good form and all the insights he shares on training. He’s one of the most knowledgeable PTs I have met.

Signed up to FF in Liverpool Street 7 weeks ago. Primarily for PT sessions to get me back into the gym routine after a significant lay off. Joe is my PT and I cannot rate this guy highly enough. He is very patient and knowledgeable, pushing whilst understanding my limits, needs and goals to ensure I take away exactly what I need. Joe discusses diet, use of the weights, target muscles and how best to perform each exercise for optimal gain as well as monitoring my posture/positioning etc to avoid injury. I have always been very right side dominant, working with Joe, for the first time ever I’m seeing results on my left side. I definitely recommend Joe and have very happily booked up for another course of 10 sessions.

The GYM is clean and accessible to use HOWEVER, there is an issue that I would like to raise. Although I have mentioned this issue to the general manager, as well as the general staff multiple matter of times, no action has been taken place. The temperature of the water in the showers is extremely cold to an extent where it is not usable. I asked the staff to take this on board and although it has been about two months nobody has taken any specific action. I really enjoy the gym and know that the staff is very respectful and kind however when an issue arises, It will be helpful if they can take these actions in place to help sustain the satisfaction of the customers. I end up taking the shower in cold water as I do not want to leave stinking of sweat after working out as that is unhygienic. It will be great if these actions can be taken place.

Went to the gym today as I normally use class pass and I have to say it was a great experience. The staff were very friendly, showed me round. It was very clean, tidy and kept like it had a good atmosphere unlike other fitness first gyms I’ve been to. I was then invited to do a HIT Class which was lovely as it made my 2 hour session so much better. The PTs were very helpful as well. I left the gym in a good mood and would definitely not hesitate to come back.

Location Is good literally in the train station but I'm going to be honest, the gym is quite small in comparison to most I've been to and it does lack some equipment. Would recommend first checking it out before buying membership because you don't want to go only to realise it doesn't have certain things you want. Other than that the workers are really polite and helpful.

I recently joined Fitness First Liverpool Street. The atmosphere of the gym is very friendly and the staff are approachable with lots of tips on how to improve your fitness or strength training. They also have a good decent section of free weights. Keep up the good work guys!

  • 5/5 Magdalena R. 9 months ago on Google
The gym might not have any fancy studios and be on the smaller side in comparison to many other City gyms but thanks to its size it has a more personal feel. All the classes take place on the main gym floor making use of the equipment and are less choreographed and much more dynamic that the standard gym classes. But it is the staff that make it what it is, Ben, Arun, Taariq and Rose are all phenomenal at what they do. They push you to your limits and beyond whilst making your workout fun. Each one of them is different in their approach but their enthusiasm, professionalism and sense of humour will keep you coming back for more.

This has been my local gym for the last five months and it has really felt like a good investment of time and money. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and when I signed up I was given a few good deals by the customer service rep - I definitely felt like they wanted me there, and this continues when I'm welcomed and talked to by the staff. The gym isn't huge, but it's got everything you need, including a great open floor space for doing calisthenics. It's always clean and well maintained, although it can get a little busy at peak hours (but hey, it's London). My training journey has been made much easier by the warm reception, supportive staff and pleasant environment that I've experienced there, and I'd recommend it to anyone.

Quite possibly the worst Fitness First gym in the local area when comparing to Broadgate Circle, Spitalfields Tower, Devonshire Square, Bishopsgate and Fenchurch Street. Staff aren’t always attentive, changing rooms are not well kept after peak periods (but otherwise fine) and there is a lack of equipment. But given this reputation, the gym is moderately empty outside of peak hours which makes it a suitable place to use squat racks, free weights and benches. During peak hours this gym is not worth visiting.

This is a good little gym, it’s a bit hidden, I phoned and the staff helped me find it as it’s tucked away behind Nero coffee. The staff are super friendly and helpful, the place is very clean and tidy. No weights left out, lots of staff present etc. Good set of equipment, for a medium sized gym it had a great range of kit and certainly everything I needed to use.

Poor variety of equipments, occasionally dirty and cold showers plus banging music all the time, add no wifi reception in the gym area and no phone signal to the mix you have yourself a 2 star gym in a prime location. Shame.

This is my current gym for 3 months and i enjoy it. I train there 5 times a week it sometimes is a little busy in and around the weights area but people always seem keen to share if asked. If your looking for it to be quiet train from 7:45am - the morning rush has past then. Its clean and tidy with friendly staff. My only gripe is the showers are sometimes too hot.

Despite being a quite small gym, it has everything you will need for a good workout. The staff seems to be welcoming and friendly. The gym is usually quite tidy and clean. If you commute from/to Liverpool St, this gym is a great option for you as it’s right inside of the station. The only downside I can foresee is that if gets too busy, then you will have to wait for someone else to finish their sets before you can start.

This is one of the worst gyms you could… This is one of the worst gyms you could ever join, if not the worst. They show you around their tiny gym and try and corner you into “just signing up to test”. I felt like I was talking to a car dealership salesman trying to sell an old Honda. I used the gym for around a month and they then shut down because of the pandemic and there was no one available to answer my many calls and emails. I tried cancelling my membership but that request fell on deaf ears. They then demanded that I pay an extortionate amount to cancel the membership. They showed no empathy, a total lack of customer service and even disdain towards customers affected by the pandemic and the economic fallout. I genuinely hope they go bust, they have no place in this market.

DO NOT GO TO THIS GYM!!!! Because if you do, you will make it busy, and the charm of this gym is the fact it's quite small, hidden away, not many people know about it. it's a perfect gym for a lunch time workout as often there are so few people, I can get straight onto what I want, when I want. The whole fitness first group is great, but the people at the Liverpool Street branch make it. I go to a weekly Sparring class with Lion who makes everyone feel motivated and welcome, always encouraging and pushing us to our limits.
