Most of the zoo is under construction currently. It would be nice if tickets were discounted since a good portion (pushing half or more) is under construction. But it's still a lot of fun! Some things were still left from the dino exhibit. The zoo is huge, give it at least 3 hours. Lots to see. Bring quarters (feeding ducks, turtles, fish), $1 and pennies (smashing), $5s (wax molds!) and then however you're going to pay for food. There should be exhibit signs for the construction. For the workers, the machines, what's going on. Kids like construction, too, and adults are curious. I would love to see signs about who is working, what they like, how the machines work and facts about them. How the company hired is contributing to making a better planet. They're missing a perfect chance to teach.

Several areas were shut down and not available. Otherwise it was a nice zoo. Enjoyed the bird feeding which was worth the extra $4 a person.

A great place to walk around on a nice breezy Saturday on the last weekend of the fair... So, not much of a crowd there when we went... We've been coming here for years and you can definitely tell that the renovations going on will be a total upgrade to the zoo... It was clean for the most part and the food court wasn't bad... All staff wore masks and the restrooms were clean... They also had the Dino Safari going on outside of the old aquarium, which I suggest saving your money and bypassing this attraction altogether, unless you just want to donate to the zoo... They also offer free covid shots out front by the entrance... I'm so glad they got the parking lot fixed... If you're in search of nice family outing, check out the zoo... You can even bring in your own food and beverages to have a picnic in some of the new eating rest areas inside the zoo... Have fun and enjoy!!!

One of my favorite zoo's to visit. Lots of variety of animals. Lots of trees for shade. Plenty of benches for sitting when gets tired. The tram is handy for getting around and inexpensive. Handicapped accessible. Great activities for adults and kids.

The OKC Zoo is simply the best place to hang out any day of the week. So much to see and do! If you can, buying a pass is the way to go. I’ve been taking my children there for 20 years and absolutely love it! The zoo keeps improving and I hope to see it completed one of these days.

Beautiful grounds, I would give it 3.75 stars if possible. The Africa exhibit is under construction to enlarge it so expect to walk a distance before seeing any animals. The zoo is somewhat hilly so manual wheelchairs are difficult - get a motorized if possible. Many of the animals were up close so we were able to see them well. I definitely recommend the tram ride! The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful

It was a great school trip. The zoo is doing remodeling so there was a lot of construction that was going on. The animals that were there were awesome to see. The kids and everyone there had a great time, and can't wait to see what new exhibits will come. The zoo was also setting up the lights for Halloween, which was really cool to see as well.

We went on the first nice Saturday of the spring and it was super crowded. The overflow parking was across the street at the racetrack. Other than the long walk to and from the car, once inside, it wasn't bad. With all of the new expansions, the exhibits were all comfortable to get around. It was the first time I had been to the zoo in close to 10 years. It is certainly not the same as when I was a kid. The new elephant area is huge and all the animals have so much room to roam around. No more little cages for any of the animals. The Asia experience is beautiful and I can't wait to go back when the Africa section is also complete. That being said, with all of the updates the cost has also increased quite a bit. I believe that you can still bring a picnic lunch inside as well as your own snacks. We ate at the Cafe by the sting rays and for 3 kid drinks, fries, a hamburger, and chicken strips it was almost $50! 🤯 Wear comfortable shoes, because you will be walking a lot!

We had a blast! We really enjoyed how the animals were active for the most part, and how each area was so accurate to the regions that each animal was from. I wish we knew that the feeding zoo cost to enter so we could've been better prepared... Other than that we had a great time and all of the zoo employees were very friendly helpful and professional! Will be going back after the African exhibit is done!

I'd recommend to take the mini train for a ride in the first place and save some energy for the animals you and your family love. The park is worth for at least two days visit. But the legwork was a bit exhausting. Bring your own food. The park's food is not bad but might be a little pricey than average.

I LOVE THE OKC ZOO!! And if you get a chance to visit Oct 2021-Dec 2021, you won’t be disappointed! (Especially if you’re an art enthusiast!) They have currently installed hundreds of gorgeous fabric sculpture all over the zoo. They are constructed of wire with silky fabric stretched over them and they will light up for the holidays. They haven’t had a holiday light event in many, many years! So excited! That being said, these sculptures are beautiful even in the daytime when not lit up! Definitely a must-see! Also, the zoo is undergoing some construction in parts of the park, but definitely still worth visiting. Lots of wonderful exhibits with beautiful animals. And their works toward conversation and helping these different species and educating people on how we can help is wonderful. I’m a proud member of this zoo! Feed the giraffes, too! They’re great! Demetri is big and Ellie is funny to watch.

With a whole new exhibit being constructed and the aquatic area slated for a full makeover there is a lot of work being done around the zoo. It made it feel very run down. Most exhibits were closed or empty. Some were just full of debris. Then, the exhibits that were open were overly crowded with unattended field trippers. The kids were so disappointed with the animal situation that they spent most of their time playing on the jungle gyms. For a Zoo actively pushing to be voted “Best Zoo in the Nation” it has a long way to go. That being said, the updates being made are very nice. When it’s all done I’m sure it’ll be fantastic. Until then though it just seems like a waste. We basically spent $100 for our kids to go to the playground.

Place is under construction in a lot of spots, but it says that on the website so you should know ahead of time. Love the giant pride flags they have out during pride month, makes me feel very validated! The animals are very interesting and well taken care of. I've been going here every few years since I was a toddler and will be coming here more in the future. <3

My kiddos and I came during the week the OKC Zoo was having free admission. It wasn't very crowded at all since a lot of schools started this week. What I was really impressed with was the amount of restroom stops they provided as well as cooling stations. I was so glad to see a lot of staff around as well, and they were all so nice. It was a pretty awesome visit despite how hot it was!

The improvements have been amazing and Exhibition Africa is awesome. The OKC community is so proud of this zoo. It’ll be even better once the aquatic area is complete. I’ve been volunteering for quite some time and can’t thank the staff enough for all they do. Go and check it out; you won’t be disappointed.

It was nice. But so many times we were lost and had to find the way back to the animals we wanted to see. We also went on a sunny afternoon, which I wouldn't recommend as we were so drained at the end and we were not able to see many animals as they were inside the enclosure hiding from the sun. Many experiences inside has separate payment. If you wish to enjoy everything from touching stingray, riding camels, Dino Park, etc., then purchase the entire package ticket instead of buying it at the booths.

Definitely recommend coming even though they still have parts of it are under construction. The Expedition Africa looks like a must see once finished. The sea lion show is a must see. Definitely worth the money. We didn't get to see the elephant show but have heard great things of it. Didn't get to feed the giraffes but was definitely one of my favorite parts. I would recommend paying for the tram. This was a must and you can get on any of it's stops. It's only $6 per person and they give you a wristband so you don't lose a ticket. I would recommend more areas for shade and would recommend more misting stations. Along with more areas to buy drinks. I would say they had enough benches along the way but not all had shade. The food was great but be prepared to pay $$$.

At this time of the year, the zoo didn’t have a lot of visitors, which we liked! No lines, great staff! The layout of the zoo is very easy to follow, the OKCZoo is under construction for a part of the zoo but as you can see in the pictures, that didn’t hinder the flow of our visit. Even though we arrived late, at 3:30pm we still got to see a lot with a reasonable pace. It’s very kid friendly. $12/adult, memberships are available to for $90/ couple with kids up to 3yrs or $120/ couple with up to 4 kids — check the website for more details and coupons. Can highly recommend, it was an awesome visit! Thanks!!

We love this zoo. Every time we go it’s a different experience. Has a wide range of animals and has Asian elephants. Petting the goats was fun for my toddler. It’s extremely affordable compared to other zoos in the country. Parking is easy to find. Highly recommend!

Very nice Zoo 🦩🕊🦤🦚🪶 in Oklahoma City. We loved walking around the zoo and seeing all the animals. My daughter had a wonderful time! The zoo is clean, well kept, and welcoming. My daughter had a great time being able to feed some of the birds 🐦 🐤. We highly recommend visiting the Oklahoma City Zoo if you are visiting this area‼️

We drive down from Tulsa and always try to fill our day so the drive is worthwhile. I’d been looking forward to taking my 4 year old because he absolutely loves the zoo and we hadn’t been to this one in a few years. We went on a week day in September & my complaints are this: there’s a large area of construction so lots of paths are blocked off - totally get this, it happens & I’m understanding of that, however, this zoo is a complete maze. While walking around I saw very minimal signage to help point us in the right direction - I noticed chairs at the forks in the road where presumably they’d have someone help people who were lost, however, there was no one around. We had a map, but the map is confusing because the actual walking paths again had very little signage. We had to try 6 different vending machines before we could find one that worked or had water available & none of the food/rest areas were open. There is no zoo train but there is a tram that I believe takes you on a tour of the zoo - which we were going to do after getting so turned around and hardly seeing any animals but it wasn’t running. Not sure if they only run on the weekends or if we just happened to miss it that day. The employees we did encounter were nice and helpful and the zoo was very clean. Overall it felt like we walked a ton, got turned around a lot & saw very few animals. Disappointing because I know this is a really nice zoo. Having an updated map with the construction zones/blocked off paths clearly marked in addition to more signs around the zoo to show which animals are down which paths would have been such a tremendous help.

Zoo experience was great. Every animals, and birds have enough space for themselves. They were properly labeled with their features or characteristics which is enough to distinguish them. There are separate sections for snakes, water creatures, asian animals, cats (lion) and many more. Special section is bear, they are real entertainers. New wing is currently under construction which will involve new animals or scenery to the zoo beauty. It has train service ($9-10/ person), if anyone wants to use. Food and water outlets inside as well. Kids live to spend time with their families. It will take minimum 5 hours to maximum 7 hours to see and enjoy whole zoo.

Make sure you have a map! It's easy to get turned around. Other than that, it was wonderful, Google Maps said it was as busy as it gets (went on a Monday), and it wasn't crowded at all. Had most of the exhibits to ourselves. From the zoos I've been to, there were an unusual amount of different snakes. I'm not complaining, though! Animals are well taken care of, and exhibits are kept clean. Make sure you wear good walking shoes too, but there are a lot of benches to pull over and take a breather.

Daughters first time there, and she loved it. Haven't been in years and a lot has changed and been added. Staff was friendly and the zoo was surprisingly clean with as many people that were there. You have to get there early for a good parking spot though, otherwise you are parking across the street at the casino or if you're lucky, next door at the science museum. Military discount is great!

2023 Safari Lights drive and walk through reservation. $70 for a car with up to 4 walk passes. It's about an hour and a half to see it all, but give yourself 2 hours. The drive was nice with more animals and peaceful, quiet, or Christmas music and heat. It only costs $7 more for 4 people to do the drive and walk than just the walk through, so that is the way to go, but you must order online in advance to reserve your time slot. I'm not sure it is something we will do every year, but it was very nice. The walk was nice with some interaction activities and places for photo opportunities. There were concessions around where you could warm up, and I saw some people cooking marshmallows. At the entrance, there is a light show all around that lasts for about 6 songs (+- 9 min) or so and then gives a 3 minute countdown before restarting. Wish there were longer paths to walk as we saw it all relatively quickly.

Make sure to reserve your times online!! Staff is super nice, they are taking great precautions during this pandemic also. Bit pricey on the drinks and food but that's every amusement park. Really fun attractions also!! Camel rides, elephant feeding and more! Great time definitely worth it!

All of the habitats are well maintained. They have a good variety of animals and it’s actually hard to see it all. We came on a cool day and all of the animals were really active which was super cool to see! My only problem and it’s obviously not fixable now is that the layout is such a net that it is hard to see everything without having to double back

I have already left a review for the zoo but I just love this place so much I wanted to leave another. We took our nephew again and this time we did the giraffe feedings and that was a really neat experience. Everyone should try it at least once. I’m 26 and it was the first time I’ve ever fed them but it was a wonderful experience for me, I can’t image how fun a kid would have! Nephew enjoyed it but he’s 2.5 y/o for reference.

I would not recommend. Very little animals on exhibit. Seems like more construction and signs than live animals. We were disappointed in Oklahoma City zoo and would have to recommend Dallas or Fort Worth zoo. We do not plan on returning. Looking at the google photos was better than the actual visit.

One of the best zoo's I've been to, even though it's under construction. Well worth the value. Spent entire day here, my 4 year old loved everything! Great spots to have a picnic as well, don't forget sun screen! We were able to feed the rhino on the day we went and my little is still talking about it! If you don't have a stroller or wagon with you because you are on vacation they have some you can rent for the day, and they don't charge a fortune.

Unfortunately- I was a bit disappointed. The zoo was not very busy at that day - maybe it was just too hot - we paid $6 per person (military discount). Normally the entry is $12, but you need to pay more to see shows etc. - so, you get charged extra almost on every corner. Almost all restaurants were closed and only one restaurant were open… Three stars for the exotic animals they had in the zoo.

Went to the lights drive through and then walk through. The kids liked the drive through but loved the walk through. I think for the money, there does need to be changes made. For older people, the drive through is not long enough. Maybe needs to be combined with a train ride through the walk through section. Days or evenings could be divided between train rides and walk through. Love going to the zoo normally, and we did have a discount for being members, but felt sad that a lot of people wouldn't be able to experience it due to price.

The zoo has made many changes since I was last there, 13 years ago. I decided to take my 19 year old son with me. We had a blast! Unfortunately we did not get to see all the animals because it was hot and they go inside, but that is expected. Either way, it was worth it! We took many photos and videos. Even stopped to ride the carousel. Just remember to be courteous to the animals and don't let little ones bang on their glass, it stresses them out more. Don't forgot to stop in the little shop they have by the night exhibit, it's quant and has many goodies inside (I'd recommend going that direction last, or else you'll be carrying everything throughout the day.)

A great zoo with many fun events and animals from all across the world. Seems to be a very popular spot for field trips. Some sections seem to be perpetually under construction, but that means it's constantly changing. The zoo friends perks are great for frequent visitors and discounts.

The zoo is now better than ever with the Expedition Africa open. They did however change companies for the dining areas so the Flavor Burst ice cream (the one everyone remembers from school) is no longer carried. However I will not dock points because I do not know the reason for the swap. The giraffe enclosure is so awesome now, you can see them from 95% of it due to how open the walk way is. I recommend the OKC Zoo and have been ~4 times in the past year it is always growing and getting better.

OKC Zoo is one of the best zoos in the country. If you have not visited in some time, now is the time to check it out while the weather is cooling off. We love OKC Zoo! They are always upgrading some part of the Zoo also so its continuously changing. But now they have added hands on things like the string ray Bay, giraffe feeding, rhino feeding, and wild encounters to name a few now those are extra from admission but so worth it. I also recently found out they offer children day camps and programs so I'm gonna be looking into that. They have many animals at this zoo and again always trying to find new ways to improve.

BUY YOUR TICKETS ONLINE!! Much cheaper by about half the costs!! *2 years old & under are free* Bigger than the Tulsa Zoo. We had more room to roam around and the place is stroller friendly! Loved our last visit. Our kiddos had a blast, and you can never go wrong with cute elephants! Love them! They just got a baby giraffe not too long ago too. Feedings are welcome and will be up for purchase, masks are required due to Covid-19 if you plan to feed the animals. We went last month, & honestly a lot of people didn't bother to wear masks, even with signs up. Up to you basically, but we had a great trip!

Nice zoo. All staff we encountered were nice. We enjoyed the elephant presentation. Map isn't perfect, but gets you around. Map signs could use a, "you are here" indicator. We had beautiful weather on a Saturday in November and didn't feel overcrowded. Bought our tickets online on the way to the zoo and bypassed the line and scanned in. Definitely the way to go. Fun day at a nice zoo. Visit here if you are in OKC.

Unfortunately a good chunk of the zoo is under construction and a lot of the exhibits at the entrance had their animals inside as a precaution to protect them from the avian influenza right now so I can't say it was the best visit. That being said my niece and nephews had fun and that's what counts ! So I will have to come back when it's all finished and I'm sure there will be plenty more animals to see and the overall experience will be better.

Beautiful day for the zoo with family! All the animals were super active and adventurous when we stopped in on a Sunday. The downside was the lack of food places open and the construction was a bit much, couldn't see too much due to things being blocked off. The only thing I didn't like about the animal shows was $50 (who has that kind of $$ to see that) come on zoo that is a bit ridiculous.

This zoo was larger and better than I'd imagined. We were visiting from out of town and the zoo was impressive. The diversity of animals was amazing and the zoo is very well laid out, designed and maintained. A whole new Africa section is being developed. Top class zoo.

i went here for the OU health night event with my girlfriend. this is not a great zoo but most people that havent experienced a phenomenal zoo would not know this. i have been to a zoo in south korea that had a safari ride which is basically a large restricted space driven through on a bus with bulletproof glass. these buses reach platforms where lions and tigers are fed big chunks of animal parts and you can watch them upclose eating. these lions even notice you inside the buses and look at you with the kind of gaze that makes you realize you would be dead if it wasnt for the bullet proof glass. well this zoo doesnt have that. and what some other zoo has that this zoo doesnt have does not make it less. what makes this zoo less is the fact that most animals are not present for viewing and a lot of them looked miserable and bored. there were also a lot of trashy people walking around with really southern backwoods dialects. the food was also ridiculously boring and bad. at night there isnt any lighting. i liked the cheetahs they reminded me of myself for some reason. otherwise this is a subpar zoo.

We really enjoyed seeing the stingrays and the flamingos, had a special time here with the kids. For sure this is a very good place for adults as well, there is just so much to do here with friends and family. Did not have time to discover everything, so we will be back again next week.

Lots of people but the zoo did want it could to keep people safe. The animals seemed happy and you could actually see most of them in their enclosures. It was a nice get away for the day.

This place is amazing. You have splash pads for the kids. It is very scenic to just walk and enjoy. There is a myriad of plants, fountains and waterfalls. It is great for a family or for date night. I even saw a wedding taking place. Great job OKC on the park, definitely an oasis in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city.

Wonderful zoo! The staff is super friendly and helpful with any questions we had. We like to take our pup Anya to pet friendly places and found out that they offer a Doggie Hotel which is climate controlled while we toured the zoo. Definitely a great place to visit!

Hallow-ZooWeen was so awesome this year even with COVID!! We’ve been coming to this zoo for 8 years now, every time has been enjoyable! Our oldest still has the green plush monkey that we bought in the gift shop from our very first visit. Everything has been a pleasure through all the years!!

This is clearly a well-kept zoo with some lovely promenades and spaces. The Lotus Pavilion was stunning! It seemed a little lonely for the spacious elephant areas to have only a single little elephant each when I visited, but perhaps there were others receiving special care elsewhere at the time. It was also a bit surprising to see how little room the large cats get to roam around, and concerning to see them pacing back and forth endlessly in such a small square footage. Not being an expert, all I can say is that I hope more visitors continue to support this home for so many wonderful creatures, and that we can ensure their well-being for many more generations. That said, I had a thoroughly enjoyable time! I've never seen such bright, healthy flamingoes, and the bird enclosure was a pleasure to stroll through! The many beautiful cats were such a sight to behold, many species of which I'd never seen before- like the relatively small fishing cats and the caracal with their curious ear tufts. I was bummed that the red pandas were nowhere to be seen when I came by, but so many of the Oklahoma Zoo residents were unbelievably photogenic! Such playful sea lions! Such lumbering bears! However, my hands-down favorite stop had to be in front of the adorable sleeping fox family. My visit left me with memories that will last a lifetime!

For being a zoo it was sad but I suppose the animals were better taken care of them some other zoos ive seen. I am one of those people who do not believe in holding animals captive for spectator viewing... but I'm also a scientist and understand the importance of studying animals but we really should let them be free and just observe from a far...anywho. caz of covid you have to order online so thats awesome. We got our tickets ended up not going at the time or day but I called and they said we could reschedule whenever. So we did. Nice staff. Clean bathrooms. They need more healthy options. Wheat and carbs are very bad for people health and I could see hundreds of obese people here, so they need a healthier option. Bring your own snacks, thats what we did. The animals were all very sad

(Translated by Google) I see animals sad, obviously it will never be the same for a wild animal to be in its natural habitat as in a zoo, but how is a lion going to be in a 10x10 cage? It is insufficient The only recall is that it is seen that the staff is dedicated to taking good care of them.

6 star Fantastic. Areas dedicated to each of the different climates in the state. Due to excellent planning you can really get close to the animals with minimal barriers. Even the squirrel were friendly. With Covid restrictions everything was still open to see. Some storm damage but all pathways were open. What a great day.

Easily one of the nicest zoos I've ever been to! Very affordable, nicely laid out, easily walkable for everyone. We had burgers and fries (I had the fried catfish sandwich myself) over near the big cat area, and they were piping hot and tasted great. A bit expensive for the food but we kind of expected that. The weather was absolutely beautiful (11/6/20) with mid 70s temps, sun and a breeze. I would highly recommend this zoo for anyone visiting the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our day and I even have 2 teenage sons that absolutely loved it!

Not really a safe option during Covid.

The zoo is always a great place to visit... that being said the catering company they use stole from my family. We were attending an event at the zoo and the bartender for the SALT and SURREY CATERING STOLE $5. I did not notice til we were in the car and by then the zoo doors were closed. I can't say enough GOOD about the zoo and it's staff but the Salt and Surrey catering crew need a good audit, specifically the bartenders, the rest of the employees were solid professionals.

I'd give the zoo a 5 star but there's so much construction going on, And no signs of when it's supposed to be done. Also be nice if it had a sign in the hippo area of where the hippos are during the construction. But hopefully after all it's done, it will be back to being a 5 star zoo ;) especially if they really do get more giraffes and make them easier to view. Only downsides to this zoo is how expensive the food is (and it's not good) and that there are no water bottle refill stations anywhere. $4 for a small thing of water is insane.

  • 5/5 Sandra H. 2 years ago on Google
I am not a huge fan of zoos but the sea lion show made it all worth it, definitely a must. A lot was under construction which was a bummer but i can’t wait to see what they do with it. Definitely need a few more cooling areas and shade in some walkways though. (Most of the food is expensive but at least it was good)

This is one of the best zoos I've ever been to and I've been to zoos and at least 10 different states. I didn't I love their turtles and their elephants the most. They also have a little splash pad area that has a waterfall and a creek that the kids are allowed to play in and get wet so that's pretty awesome during the summer.

  • 4/5 Danielle L. 2 years ago on Google
Beautifully decorated and trick or treat candies along your route (for extra $). In addition to animals, there is a play ground, dinosaurs park, carousel and camel rides. Last three you also pay extra for. Not cheap. The kids had fun. Not enough places to eat though, and they serve your drinks with paper straws that melt in your cup

  • 4/5 Shaina L. 2 years ago on Google
There weren't a lot of animals at the zoo when I went this summer. Maybe it's due to the pandemic... The staff were nice, food was overpriced as expected, and the dinosaur exhibit was pretty nice. I spent 3 hours wandering the trail with empty exhibits all around just to find like 7 giraffes and a zebra. I don't blame them for not having many animals but if you're going for a certain animal maybe check ahead of time. I traveled from out of state for business and this zoo was nice entertainment for a day. Hopefully one day people can see aquatic, African, and overall animals not indigenous to Oklahoma in this zoo. My 1 year old loved the sea lions which was pretty cool so there are some animals that will be exciting to children. I like that the zoo had plenty of seating for when you get tired or want to take a break for some water.

  • 4/5 Monica H. 2 years ago on Google
We arrived around 11am on a Saturday. It wasn’t very packed which was nice for us. My son absolutely loves dinosaurs, he was excited when we walked in because there was a huge brontosaurus in the main courtyard immediately after entering the zoo. There were also dinosaurs positioned in different locations as we walked through the grounds of the zoo. We all really enjoyed learning about each dinosaur as we walked through. The zoo was absolutely beautiful, with lots of flowers, trees, and shrubbery along the way to each exhibit. I could tell they put a lot of work into making the grounds of the zoo scenic and lush. Unfortunately, on our visit, most of the large exhibits were closed for renovations. There were several animals we wanted to see, but didn’t get a chance because those exhibits were closed. It was a little disappointing to walk all the way to see an animal, only to see it closed. I do think it will be amazing once all exhibits are fully open. My only complaint, is that we wished there were more water/drink vendors conveniently located around the Zoo. We all were very thirsty walking around. We did get drinks from the store located near the Rhino’s, but we didn’t see another opportunity for water/drinks until we reached the food court area, by then we were all extremely thirsty. There were two vending machines under Granny’s Porch, however, none of the vending machines were working. As we sat in the rocking chairs to cool down, we saw 20-30 other thirsty people attempt to try to get drinks from the same vending machine as well. I would definitely come back to the OKC Zoo again once all exhibits are fully opened. I’m sure the entire zoo will look great once renovations and additions are all done.

Not a terrible zoo. But it requires a ton of walking and self-navigating as there are no signs or logical flows to the layout or design. Very confusing and the restaurants were out of pretty much everything, charging $5 per small cup of lemonade. Lol. Also, a huge part was under construction. But otherwise, it was cool.

Not a lot of animals, at all. Lots of construction going on, which I get, to beautify the zoo and make room for more animals, they should consider adjusting the price because it is just not worth it currently. We love the playgrounds, spray areas to cool off, and the children's area best. It's a plus they allow you to bring lunch in.

Lots of sweet animals! Make sure to say "hi" to Miss Bea -- she is the Galapagos turtle celebrating her 50th anniversary at the zoo. Offers a lot of unique experiences. I fed a rhino -- who can say that?!? The elephants have an awesome viewing deck that you can look down from above. They were having a fun time in the water. The zookeepers were all very informative and friendly. Top notch!

Was a decent time. Not great but decent. Chill. Clean. More statues than actual animals. However maybe that is for...caring for the animals and giving them good lives and plenty of space. I can respect that. Eat before you go, not there, my advice. Also wear good walking shoes. It is a lot of walking. Good exercise. Wish i could jog there. That would be sweet. Very stroller and wheel chair friendly. If it is sunny bring your umbrella or sunscreen as a lot of the walking is in direct light. I do recommend; just go prepared with this info. The statues of a variety of art materials were actually very cool and a delight to see. There is a little clean stream for kids to play in in the summer too. My nephew loved that.
