I had fun while I was there.. The entire zoo took no less than an hour. It was stroller friendly and kid friendly. They had a small kid area for the kids to play near the entrance. I would suggest not to buy the food to feed the animals. The zoo is small and there’s two cages in between the animals and you.. so it makes it harder to feed the animals. Plenty of people don’t finish the cup and end up leaving it everywhere. Which we needed up picking up extras along our route. They had a tiger, I was surprised. Pretty clean too!

This zoo is fantastic. Personally, I am not a fan of zoos. This is really not a zoo, it’s an animal sanctuary. All of these animals have either been rescued or “donated”, cared for by true animal lovers. They are clearly treated well and are happy! You can feed some animals with a cup of food (one cup is plenty!) and the best part is the giraffe, they only have one now, but you can feed the giraffe from your hand and he is SO funny. He literally stands there, swaying from side to side almost dancing, waiting to be fed, so happy. It was the highlight. The tour was cool too, and if there’s a zookeeper show happening while you’re there, it’s worth it to watch/listen just to hear about the animals and more about the zoo- much more interesting than I would have anticipated. We will be back! (Our kids are 3 and 8, for reference)

This is a pretty cool place. They have the animals up close and all the peacocks and chickens roaming around is a nice touch. The kids really enjoyed feeding all the animals and especially the giraffe. The staff is really nice and we even got a free peacock feather on our way out. All that said, the facility leaves something to be desired. It’s not exactly in pristine shape and could use some upgrades and polish.

This is a great place to take your kids. Awesome experience being able to see many types of animals. Being able to be up close and feed them was very cool. Bathrooms and wash stations are available. Both was very clean and convenient. This is a very cheap place to go for a fun day trip with your family! Will be coming back!

What a great place....the drive thru was under renovation but will be open February 2024. It is very nice to bring your kids or just to admire the special animals 😀. Very interactive as well. You can feed the goats, giraffes 🦒 or anything that's hungry for a snack 😋.

Great place to learn and encounter exotic animals. Very educational talks in the amphitheater and details about how it all started. Donate to this great organization! The bathrooms are pretty new, air conditioned and all the details were thought of. Small sinks for kids, changing station, a chair and clean. The safari ride is a lot of fun. Soon they will be integrating the animals out in the safari ride so they can just walk up to the vehicle!

Sad and depressing to see animals in such small enclosures. The two Fennec foxes were directly beside a large owl with a chain link fence between them. The owl kept trying to get into the fox cage and the foxes were terrified when the owl would hit the chain link fence between them. Prey and predator shouldn’t be side by side in constant view of each other as it stresses the animals. As most businesses right now, they appeared short staffed. The bear was constantly pacing. Very little enrichment for the animals. Those poor animals. Some buildings and areas were dilapidated. I’m hoping the facility renovations being completed at this time are to expand the sizes of enclosures.

A fun filled family day. I had an awesome time feeding almost 85% of there animals. The have giraffes that you can feed. It was completely epic. I had the time to go and I did want to leave. Admission price is fron open to close. Man I can't wait to go again. For what seemed like a small spot was actually huge in comparison to the lot size. Parking is free. And the safari ride in your own vehicle was just as superb. What's more comfortable than driving your own car threw the safari. Animals came up to the car surprisingly calm. Watch out for the donkey and zebra they bite... at least that's what the signs say.

This place is awesome! We had so much fun!! We did the car tour first and fed the animals from the car. It’s one of the coolest things ever. Seeing the animals up close and personal is really cool, but being able to interact with them, makes the experience even better. I will say to watch out for the ostriches. They are a bit aggressive. They are not dangerous or anything. They just will stick their entire head and neck in your car trying to get the food. And they’re very fast. If you can, get an extra cup of food, because when we ran out, they pecked at the glass, wanting us to let the window down and give them food, but we didn’t have any. So next time we plan on getting a few extra cups. Because there were people behind us, we did feel obligated to go a bit faster. They tell us that we can pull over and continue, let the other people go around us, but with the animals so close it’s really hard to get off the path. It definitely wasn’t a problem, but we could’ve definitely spent a lot longer on the driving tour, because it was such a cool experience. After that, we parked and went inside to see the other animals. It was such a nice set up. They had a good range of animals considering it is just a family zoo. We were very impressed. We bought more food inside to feed the giraffe, they like fresh carrots. It was so crazy being that close to them. My favorite was definitely the Tigers though. They are such a beautiful creatures. They have set up the property to have several different places and scenes for pictures. They have a place to get hot food, snacks, and a gift store as well. They even have a playground for kids. Heads up, they offer a discount for teachers, and if it’s your birthday. Will definitely be going back.

Just one hour drive from Raleigh, this Zoo is not as big as NC zoo but it’s a good place for family and kids. The park is stroller friendly. washrooms are available and clean too. The entire park can be covered in one hour. For rest of the area which cannot be covered by walking, they have small safari tour I think every one hour and that too free. We can buy food for animals there but it’s hard to finish it. Main attractions are bengal tiger, bears, giraffe and ostrich.

This was an absolutely wonderful experience to have. I really loved the goats, otter, and very friendly giraffes. Everyone was very polite and nice, especially the manager Denzel. He took time out of his day to answer our questions and let us know more about the animals. Not to mention the safari ride was nice and informative. All in all 10/10 would recommend.

This is a small, private zoo. They have a wide array of animals some of which are exotic others are more domesticated. Endangered animals as well. Great idea for kids as many animals range free and you can get interactive with feeding some. Seeing everything including the tractor ride is about 1.5-2 hrs.

We spent Mother's Day here today, and I couldn't be happier! They let all mother's in for free, which was a pleasant surprise when we arrived. We began the tour with a drive-thru safari full of friendly animals eager to greet you. We purchased 2 cups of food at the beginning of the tour where we purchased tickets; but, I definitely recommend buying atleast 3 or 4 cups if you want to guarantee not running out before the end of the tour. Once you finish the tour, then you can park and proceed to walk around the rest of the zoo. There is a lovely gift shop and bathroom facilities for your convenience that are handicap accessible. You can purchase more food for the animals here as well. They also had 2 food trucks set up for humans to eat from as well. They also have a playground for kids and plenty of areas to sit and rest in the shade. The park continues from here and there are so many more animals to see! There are indoor exhibits all around. You just start walking around the paths and explore. The staff are so friendly and eager to share their knowledge of the animals. The animals seem happy and healthy and well cared for. I was just so impressed with this smaller but amazing zoo! It is family-friendly and just a great place for a day visit full of fun. You will not regret it!

First off, I am 100% an animal lover. Not one go go to Zoo's, but they actually rescue these animals! Rescue! The staff is great especially Jennifer Austin( the Tiger God). We loved her so much and stayed 2 extra hours just because of her. I hope she stays there as long as she can. We will be going back..

It was a nice place to take my grandson. He enjoyed it and the animals mainly were rescue animals. They are doing good by them. Tickets pass for each of us and he’s only 4 we’re $12 EACH + any food you bought to feed the animals. Think I ended up spending like $35 total. But it was for a good cause and the grandson enjoyed it as did I too!!

If I could give this place a 10/5 I would. Wow. Just wow. So they have a walking part and a drive-thru section. We started in the walk through. Spent quite some time feeding the animals (feed is only 3 for a large cup). Great selection of animals to see. Then, the drive thru section came next. This section blew my mind. Grab a big cup of feed before you go back out there. The moment we drove up, alpacas and emus came running toward the car. Warning...emus are messy as all get out lol. You drive for quite a bit exploring so many large safari animals-i can't even name them all. Either way, best experience and the staff was so friendly. Would recommend!

We have been planning to come here for a long time and finally did. The experience was wonderful! The variety of animals was great and the interactions that the kids get to have with them is amazing! Being able to feed the animals inexpensively was a huge plus. All of my kids got to see something that they were excited to see. The Safari part where you drive through the park and get to feed the animals as they come up to your car was very exciting. There were endless giggles and "ooohs and ahhhhs" from the kids. We will definitely be back and would recommend anyone to go!

Aloha Zoo is a really fun zoo. Great for younger kids. Lots of ability to interact and feed animals but not too huge. We were there from 10-2. They have picnic tables around so feel free to pack your lunch. I love feeding the giraffes there. We went this past weekend and all of the animals were quite interactive. We got to hear monkeys talk, feed a baby cow, goats, and alpacas. They have also added a drive through portion to the zoo which is awesome. Our kids loved having the big animals come to our car and get to feed them. They were all pretty tame about getting food which was nice. It is 15 for an adult entry and 13 for kids 2 and up. Feed is an additional cost 3 dollars a cup ( keep the cup refills are only a dollar). The giraffe feed is cash only- $3 dollars a cup so make sure to have some cash on you 😊. We did three cups for the drive through portion and that was pretty good.

Good restroom facility, get your lunch if visiting in winter, last summer they had 1 Food Truck inside Zoo.

Don’t go here during a pandemic that’s for sure!! They are not enforcing distancing, telling people they can remove their masks in certain areas but not enforcing masks at all, and are operating at what looks like full capacity, because I’ve been in normal times and it is just as busy if not busier than usual now. They are not enforcing distancing even in lines and still operating the safari ride at full capacity with no distancing as well. I recommend going elsewhere if you are concerned about COVID and your health. Will not be back until they can enforce NC mandates or until the pandemic is over.

A great outing for the family. The animals well taken care of and look better than other zoo animals that I've seen before. The staff really cares about the animals and it shows. You can feed the 2 year old giraffe, Titus, and a number of other animals. Very cool and worth the visit.

We visited for the first time today and we absolutely loved it!! Our 2 year old grandson loved feeding the animals both parts but especially in the drive thru area. I wish the tigers would have been awake but just like house cats they were being lazy. The prices were good for everything, including the gift shop. We will definitely be going back again!

My husband and I took our grandchildren on Saturday, October 17. I've seen a review that was pretty brutal about the zoo not enforcing social distancing or masks; however, there are signs posted about masks, and if you're an adult, you ought to be able to social-distance yourself and whatever kids you might have with you. Having said that, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Aloha Safari Zoo! The 2-year-old had such fun feeding and petting the domestic animals; he especially enjoyed the baby goats! The animals appear healthy and well-cared-for, the staff seem knowledgeable and friendly, and the zoo is reasonably clean. The safari ride was short but fun, and we all enjoyed seeing the variety of animals along the route. The kids loved feeding the giraffe. A very enjoyable afternoon, and we will be returning!

Absolutely loved the experience. You drive through the first half and some of the animals will walk right up to your car, which is super fun. Second half you walk through and there's lots of animals to see. Lots of benches and stuff to take breaks if needed in this heat.

Such a wonderful experience! Excellent customer service and general care and concern for their animals. The grounds and cages are older and show their age, but it’s by far one of the best experiences we’ve had at a place like this. Will definitely go back if we pass through!

What a fun experience. We drove through the park and truly enjoyed all the animals. The Camels and Alpacas, as well as the little "cow" like animals were so cute and so gentle when taking the offered food. Not allowed to feed the Donkeys, but they are very good at giving you sad eyes. Recommend

Went on a Tuesday morning. Arrives around 11:30am, the parking lot was semi-full, but the space is large enough to social distance easily. There were a lot of different animals and my little one loved the free roaming peacocks and chicken. Some people were saying that there's enough feed for the animals and that they didn't even want to eat it, but we found that we ran out of our first two cups of feed within ten minutes of our visit. They may have went closer to end of day? ::shrug:: Would highly suggest buying more than two cups of feed for the giraffes. They love it and are so friendly. It was such an awesome experience for me and my family. There is a nice restroom area by the gift shop with AC and child friendly sinks. There's also hand washing stations throughout the zoo. Some were out of water, but the next one isn't far away. The safari ride was great. I understood the complaints of some of the visitors who've left reviews, but I figure the driver and the your guide for the safari are working the safari ride and working on building the drive through road out, so they're probably tired is all. Overall, great trip with staff that were helpful.

Great time and memories for the entire family. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip. The animals were all so friendly and came right up to us. We spent several hours there. Highlights were the drive through safari and feeding Jeffrey the giraffe. My kids got to touch and interact with so many animals and jeffrey was such a good sport even enjoyed the scratches from the kids. The price was well worth it and buying the feed was to. We visited the gift shop which was very clean and well stocked with reasonably priced goodies. The restroom was very clean as well. Will be going back soon.

Great experience with my daughter! It's a very large open range where you can take your own car and drive-through where the animals roam. You can purchase feed and feed the animals from out your car window! If you've never done something like this I highly suggest it. It is a great family adventure, full of fun and laughs. After driving through the Safari you can get out and walk through the zoo. There are caged animals, with plenty of different exhibits of all sorts of endangered species. It's an older setup, however you can tell they take very good care of the animals! I will absolutely be back! This wasn't my first time there however it was my first time driving through the Safari in my own car.... Talk about some major belly laughs 😂 it's not expensive and it's not far from Fayetteville! This is a must due on my list.

Aloha Safari Park exceeded my expectations. While it might not be as polished as other zoos I've been to, I was thrilled to see the animals having engaging enclosures and to see animals that I've never seen at other zoos. Getting up close and personal with a giraffe was something I'll never forget. The safari drive is a must do!

This is the best zoo we have been to here in NC. We have been to the NC Zoo in Asheboro a few times but here in Aloha Safari Park/Zoo, you can get up close with the animals and feed them. The animals were very friendly and came to us. We will revisit to this drive through Safari again for sure.

This is absolutely the best Zoo I have ever been to. The safari was a great experience. We loved feeding and petting the animals. My son and I really enjoyed this experience. There was a large variety of animals at the zoo portion. The animals were very, very active. Even the Bengal tigers were walking around and interacting with each other. The monkeys were jumping all over the cages. There were also lemurs, otters, alligators, kangaroo, and much more. The zoo portion was my favorite. I also enjoyed the drive-through Safari Park. The animals were very friendly maybe a little aggressive coming up to the car. The price wasn't bad. It was approximately $30 for me and my son to get in and that included three buckets of feed. Some of the animals didn't look the best but I am assuming that was due the time of the year and the animals shedding. The staff was very nice and patient. Especially the girl that checked us in and I hate that I can't remember her name she was very friendly and knowledgeable. Overall a fantastic outing for me and my son

Me and my family went to the zoo it was quite a good time. We stared off with the drive through zoo which was quite nice. Then we walk around the safari which was fun where you can feed giraffes and a few other animal. The staff were friendly. The bathrooms in the safari we clean and cool which was needed on that hot day. And I was pleased to see the whole place was quite wheel chair accessible. We will definitely be coming again but on a cooler day. Bonjour

A decent petting zoo with a minimal variety of different species but considered small in standards of a zoo. Quite a few exhibits seemed to be out of date and abandoned where animal marquees were there, but the animals were not present. They did have a drive-thru trail that you could feed certain animals, which I think is the highlight of the visit. However, kids will certainly have a great experience, which is most important to a parent. In a nutshell, this zoo is okay for adults, but it's great for young kids. I would still recommend it.

Exceeded our expectations! Up close and interactive. Great variety of animals. From my uneducated eye, some of the enclosures seemed small; but if you look into it more, these animals are well cared-for; and it's great that they are rescues.

We love it. Take at least 5-6 buckets of food for the drive thru but you don't really need food to walk in. Drive thru - buy tickets from the car. It takes around 45 minutes and then you are back to the main entrance where you can walk in to see giraffes, monkeys, goats, lions etc.

This place was amazing. The staff is super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The owner was awesome. He sat down and talked with us. He really made us feel welcome. Was a fun thing to do on a Sunday afternoon! Loved feeding the Giraffe!! I do wish there was more tags to tell you what the animals were and maybe a background on the animal so we could have a teaching moment (helpful for parents doing remote learning and needing a field trip!)

Our family had a wonderful time seeing all the animals. The woman tour guide for the safari ride was great! We recommend taking a trip here if you can.

This place is absolutely fantastic for families with small children and even just adults who love animals! They have lots of exotic animals as well as all the barnyard favorites. It is easy to walk around and navigate and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The safari tour was great but mine and my kids favorite part was feeding those two darling white cows at the front. Thank you for having such a well kept and outstanding facility!

We drove almost an hour today on my son’s birthday to find a sign at the entrance that the zoo was closed for a couple of days. No announcement on their website. Very disappointing!

Wonderful place with great owners/workers who really care about the animals. Everytime we go they improve the habitats and grounds.. would love to volunteer if I lived closer. 5 tigers, baby giraffe, baby kangaroo, baby monkey, and many other animals you can see very close compared to a bigger zoo. Drove almost an hour and very worth it!

Great option for a fun, socially distanced outdoor activity. Price of entry is very reasonable considering all the critters they have here! We had a wonderful time -- so many animals, pleasant staff, and lots of space to spread out and enjoy the zoo!

Good place to visit with the family for a few hours of up close experience with animals you usually don't get in a conventional zoo. The staff seemed to have care and knowledge about the animals. The sad part was that half the open air pens during the safari ride were bare earth and uprooted trees. I hope they plant more trees and vegetation there to improve the land quality for their animals.

Purely enjoyed my trip. I was able to pet animals, feed a giraffe and eat one of the best Sno-Cones I've ever had. You won't be disappointed.

This is an amazing place. You can feel alot of the farm type animals. And they have ducks wandering around freely. The animals are rescue and retired type, and there is a giraffe you can feed!

So many animals! There were animals I had never heard of before. I really like that there are many animals roaming in the open or that you can touch. Definitely worth the visit and we will be back when in the area.

We enjoyed our visit at Aloha Safari Zoo. The gift shop is more geared towards children. And the "snack station" is basically a snack station. They have this really cool option right as you answer to see a suit talk. One of the zookeepers has some animals on a stage and gives you a lot of cool fun facts about those animals, and about the zoo and the other animals that may be related to those animals at the zoo. And had a large variety of animals and a safari tour option that's included with your ticket. There are a lot of animals that you can feed oh, and a section that's basically set up like a barn petting zoo. You can actually pet an antelope LOL how cool is that?

pretty basic but good for the price. staff was nice & it was clean. needs better signs for the animals. allowed petting & feeding most animals. takes about 1.5 to see all.

Terrifying that during a pandemic, the safari ride operator isn't wearing a mask, everybody is crammed side to side on the ride, and mask wearing on the ride was not enforced. We were shocked to see this, but were already in line with our toddler who definitely would have lost it if we'd left. So we stuck it out, sitting shoulder to shoulder with numerous people wearing chin diapers. Many people didn't follow the signs which required masks inside buildings like the snake and bird areas, and there was no staff around to enforce the rules. This place is very open with lots of animals to see and lots of potential. They just need to step it up in areas where people congregate.

This is the best zoo I have ever been to you can get up close with the animals and if you make it in time you see them feeding the animals it was absolutely amazing 😍
