Well everyone else shares pics of the adorable animals so I thought I would show some other areas of the property. This is such a fun experience for both kids & adults. Who would love to watch & learn about goats, pigs, cows & chickens!? 🐐🐷🐄🐓 I give this place 5⭐️ Jerry gives this 5 ⭐️

Was shocked this time. No animals in kids petting zoo only 4 cows. As I walked larger zoo, monkey house only has 3 monkey out of minimum 10 exhibits. Reptiles house had things but alot of animals missing from zoo. Was really sad after me coming every year for over 40 years.

This place used to be good: chicks hatching, animals to be touched, cow milking, pigs rolling. Today, I went. There is nothing. Three cows outside. That's all. Not worth a trip for anyone. The door person is friendly. But clearly mismanaged.

We liked it but it's really really small. Everything is clean and all animals seem happy. The downside is they don't have any other attractions. If you live near by, great place to go. If you like us live in Chicago, don't recommend it because it's 1 hour drive to get there.

One of the best places to bring small kids in Chicago. Space to run around + good learning opportunities. The staff are so great. Today the kids tried a surprisingly sweet edible plant, tasted like lemonade. So fun!

place was empty so kids got to play but I will complain about the bathroom specifically in this barn . they were disgusting . They hadn't been cleaned and were not even usable of how dirty they were.

We had a fantastic time. It's very nice for the kids, and free!!! We did however have to park REALLY far away. And paid $19.00 for 3hrs of parking. (So come prepared with parking money, and good walking shoes!) Lmao other than the parking and extraordinary heat we would recommend this place!

A truly wonderful experience. Animals are kept close to all entrances and getting close is easily done. There are endangered animals in this park that are hard to view elsewhere. Much better than some others zoos I've visited. They even have a play area for children.

My favorite zoo. Bigger than In 1970. Very clean. Alot to see. Needs to be more cohesive and easier to get to from venue to another for elderly and children. More signage on post directing to venues with pictures. Would like to see more parking. Need rentals for getting around.

A lot has change ever since I went when I was much younger. Exhibits temporarily closed were a minor set back but some of the attractions have been altered namely the cow milking station: now with a frost glass panel to destress the cows I'm assuming. The barn is going under some changes: still no bees, no scale to see how heavy you are in comparison to farm animals, weren't any chicks last I went so a little underwhelming in the farm area, but the rest of the zoo is always a solid 5/5 :)

My son enjoyed the play area locates in the main barn. Otherwise, there were not too many animals out and we did not see any that were available for petting. Unsure if this is part of lincoln park zoo or separate

A great exertion for little ones on the go. The garden is especially delightful to explore- youths can dig and help water the plants.

Love to visit the goats and chickens here on my way to the lake. They are so cute.

The farm is a fun place inside the zoo. There are lots of domesticated animals to watch, like cows, goats, and chickens. The shed has cool exhibits for kids and lots of picture-taking opportunities. There's also an organic farm and a dairy shed. Fun place for kids of all ages.

I absolutely love animals! Stumbled upon a great petting zoo. Had a wonderful visit.

This does NOT deserve good reviews. NO animals - nothing open. I feel bad for tourists making their way here. AVOID - go to and enjoy the actual zoo which is adjacent. We went on a rainy-ish weekday but a sunny weekend probably different

Great place for kids (or kids at heart) to see farm animals up close. Ponies, goats, cows, chickens, and more are all able to be viewed from a safe distance. There's a play area for younger kids in the main barn as well, and best of all it's free!

  • 5/5 Zachery M. 1 year ago on Google
Loved it but there are really no animals, and no contact to them as ,told it's a petting Zoo not

Hardly any animals now, it seems they took quite a bit of the attractions out. No cow milking, no baby chicks. The scale is also gone now.

Great fun for little kids. Wish more animals were out but not always in their control.

Brings back so many childhood memories. Would like to see more activities and interactions with the animals. The farm is being well preserved but it’s missing the animal/magic.

  • 4/5 Marco R. 4 years ago on Google
This place is cute. The main barn should maybe have more interactive exhibits and there should be a pony riding area if possible. But definitely good place for the kids.

Such a cute little farm with a HUGE bunny and standard farm animals. A good place for kids. Also a really nice vegetable garden in the summer times. And Mr. Singer for the kids on Wed and Fridays.

  • 5/5 Mel L. 4 years ago on Google
Of course it's smelly but its it's worth holding your nose for. The farm animals are so beautiful and they have huge white bunnies. Cute baby piglets and you can pet and brush the goats. Wonderful experience.

Coming from a farming town I initially didn't see the need because it's always been a part of our life, but then i realized not everyone encounters these animals and learns about farming and where our food comes from. This is brilliant!! What a wonderful tool to teach about food to the table.

Its always fun to visit LPZ. But there were alot of exhibits which were empty. We will go back in July to have fun to the fullest.

ADORABLE spot! I highly recommend coming in the morning (at least during the summer when temps are hot) because the animals are most likely to be out then. They have goats, pigs, ponies, etc. The farm is darling and not too large so it’s not too time consuming. Great quick stop on the way to the zoo too!

Beware! It’s barely open due to the pandemic and the website doesn’t tell you. Great disappointment for our three year old.

  • 5/5 Venessa B. 5 years ago on Google
Visit the farm hs 2day it's still open n still can see sum animals in da cold. Nice not so crowded cuz of da cold! Luved it like always!

  • 5/5 Christopher F. 2 years ago on Google
It was fun. It was barely open, probably from pandemic caution, but my 5 year old really enjoyed it. The walk over to farm was exceptional. We had a beautiful walk past the waterway and natives pollinators was. We had fish swim up and follow us, a turtle swam up to the edge and watched us bobbing his little head at us, we saw amazing flowers and plants covered in bees. It was very peaceful and arriving at the small farm and seeing their set up was very nice.

Much of the animals and play activities are limited due to covid and bird flu. But a still fun place to climb a tractor, see the gardens, and watch the farm animals.

  • 2/5 Heidi F. 1 year ago on Google
I was really let down that they hadn't updated their website. I wanted to take my 7 year old to a 'petting' zoo; however, we were not allowed to pet a single animal. There were no bunnies or chickens to see either. The zoo worker was unapologetic when I asked her. All the signs said that animals bite. What a huge let down.

Free. There's an edible garden you can visit certain parts of the week. There's a bridge nearby overlooking a pond with a great view. Has bathroom too.

Always fun but the enclosures had limitations and missing the bees and baby chicks.
