Wasn’t sure what to think when we pulled up but once we got in we were pleasantly surprised by all the different animals and some of the fun encounters they do. From farm animals like goats, pigs, highland cattle, donkeys, and llamas to emus, wolves, lemurs, alligators, crocodiles, giraffes(feeding encounters), longhorn cattle, macaws, kookaburra, lions, jaguar, monkeys and lots more. Great place to take kids and a fun family outing.

Such a wonderful little zoo! You get to be up close and get really good views of the animals. You can feed the donkeys, goats, giraffes and go in the aviary and all the little parakeets come land on your arms and eat seeds stuck to a popsicle stick. The staff is so friendly, the zoo is very clean and you can even pay a little extra to have some up close and personal experience with some of the animals. We absolutely loved it!

Nice little zoo with main type animals. Park was fairly clean. Look like it was under staffed and maybe that was due to off season. Staff was very friendly and eager to help or answer any questions. They do take Apple Pay so very convenient. They also allow dogs on leash throughout the park. You are very up close to the exhibits and they have a lot of snakes ! Road and entryway is sand and not paved if that matters to you. Small gift shop with plenty of items to buy. Public restrooms are very clean.

This zoo was the perfect size for young kids. They had all kinds of animals, including a part that let's you feed the animals. The zoo employees were all very informative and welcoming. I loved that they have three wolves, two giraffes and a huge bear! Peacocks just walked freely around and there are turtles all over. I liked that the zoo had a sloth greeting and talked about all the things slothes do. My daughter loved seeing the animals and we both loved that we were able to see every one that they have. Great day and a great choice of activities to put on your to-do list.

Cows, ducks, roosters, peacocks, various monkeys, goats, donkeys, llamas, alpacas, zebras, giraffes variety of birds, including parrots, tucan, owl, emus, ostriches. Jaguar, tiger, lion, cattle, pigs, reptiles, tortoises 1 is over 100 years old named Gertie...on and on. You can buy 3 feeds for most animals for $5.00 extra. So fun. We were there 2 1/2 hours. Well worth the visit. Driveway to park is pretty bumpy.

It's rare I will give 5 stars but this place deserves it. The woman running the ticket booth was beyond amazing. Super personable. Prices are 15$ to get in. There are not paths like other zoos but it's shaded. The animals looks well taken care of. The keepers will answer any questions you have. I did the sloth tour that was amazing. Got to feed them along with toucans

My family and I love this zoo!! It was quaint, with loads of interaction opportunities. We love being able to actually see all the animals, especially when it was time for feeding or enrichment. You can tell these animals are well taken care of, loved, and respected just as God would want us to. Thank you for a wonderful experience with my kids and husband! ❀️❀️❀️❀️❀️❀️

Decided to check the Emerald Coast Zoo out today and glad we did. It has been a few years since our last visit, and a lot has changed. The zoo and the enclosures are clean. The animals are well taken care of and loved. The new owners are doing a wonderful job. If you are in the area looking for something to do give the zoo a chance. I think you will be glad you did.

I love the expansion that's going on and the animals look well fed. Wish they did the camel rides on the weekend though. But for price, they're very excellent for a local zoo.

This is a great zoo to take your kids. They are constantly building new attractions and have a wide variety of animals. The only (minor) down side is that the information about the animals can be lacking. For taking kids though, this makes no difference to them. The bird cage that you can walk into and feed the parakeets is amazing and a kid pleaser as the birds just land right on your hands and arms! If you have kids, the 1 year family pass is worth it. Only 3 visits and it pays for itself.

Looks are deceiving at this zoo. It's a bit out in the middle of nowhere, and feels like a glorified petting zoo at first. Once you get back past the goats, it gets a lot better. The giraffes are cool, they have a few large cats, including an illusive white Bengal Tiger. They have several kangaroos (which were also on my daughter's list of things to see) They have a few monkeys and lemurs. It's basically the cast of Madagascar 🀣. My daughter was so excited to see her first zebra, and commemorate the occasion with a zebra stuffy from the gift shop (which is also very small, reminded me of the giftshop in NM for smokey the bear if anyone else has been there) The aviary is full of 'free range' parakeets. Nothing super exotic, but fun to go into. I had parakeets as a kid and my daughter loved feeding them and having them land on her. It's a great zoo an hour or so from great gulf beaches! The animals all look very well cared for and it was clean. The walk around the exhibits is partly shaded and is all dirt/sand, but you don't have to walk very far to see everything.

This zoo is the best. It's small but lots to see and so open. The staff is the nicest I have ever met. So friendly and informative. Its a little over an hour drive for us but it's our favorite nearby. Thanks for being awesome!

We enjoyed our time. The prices were great! We got food to feed the animals while we walked through the park which the kids thoroughly enjoyed! There were goats, chickens and peacocks walking around the zoo! We got tokens to be able to feed the giraffes. Not pricey like other zoos. Lots of animal babies walking around. It wasn't busy at all which was nice for small kiddos to walk and not be rushed. All of these animals looked happy and healthy! My favorite was the tortoises!

We highly recommend Emerald Coast Zoo! We visited on March 20, 2021 and had a great time! We did the Lion/Tiger, Kangaroo, and Bear Encounter and loved them all! The animals are very beautiful, happy, and well taken care of. Angel is an amazing zookeeper with an undeniable passion for these animals. She was patient, kind, and extremely Informative! Steve helped us feed the kangaroos milk and answered every question we had about these beautiful creatures. He knew everything there was to know about kangaroos and shared an obvious love for the animals. I do recommend bringing a cooler with drinks and lunch, as there are very limited options for food/drink. Overall, 5 stars!

Great experience and all of the staff I met were helpful and friendly. It's nice how close up you are to the various animals and there are even some friendly birds walking freely around the park. It's also alot cheaper than any zoo I have been to but just as good if not better. Highly recommend!

Awesome place, cool exhibits, lots of animal encounters available. So many different animals I couldn't list them all here but great for family's. We may wait for the weather to cool back down a bit before we head back but other than the dang Summer Heat (which can't be controlled by anyone) it was a truly unique and awesome experience!

Have to admit I was sceptical at first. Pulling up, my mind went to Tiger King immediately! But I was pleasently surprised not only at the variety of animals, but the way they were so well kept! It's a up close and personal experience, a perfect family outing and very reasonably priced!

We took our 1yo grandson and he loved all the animals. They have several animals you can feed and pet. Allow 1.5 to 2 hours to experience everything.

Excellent way to spend a day with the family outside. Not very crowded and plenty of space to spread out. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Good mixture of sun and shade and feeding the animals was awesome!

Really good experience! I’m from Kansas and haven’t experienced a zoo like this before! People that understand the story of the β€˜zoo’ understand how awesome the current owners are. When I visited the Emerald Coast Zoo with my family, we did animal encounters in addition to regular admission. Animals seem happy ~ overall great experience!

This zoo is amazing! All of the animals come out, and give you a little show. It is partially a petting/feeding zoo, so it's great for kids. All of the animals are very friendly and have no problems with human interaction. Including the beautiful black Jaguar! I will say that again.... They have a black jag! They also have a white Bengal tiger, an orange tiger, a lion and a bear! So it is not just for petting farm animals. We even got to literally pet a 110 year old massive turtle!!! He was so sweet and if he could have fit in my book bag, id have him in my back yard right now! (Just kidding Emerald zoo). They have 2 giraffes hidden in the back, which you can feed! We fed them lady and the tramp style, so they took the lettuce right out our mouths! I'd highly recommend the lady and the tramp, bc you will also get a free giraffe kiss out of it! I could literally go on and on about this zoo, but you need to see it for yourself 😁

Came here on a whim as I was scrolling on Instagram and saw someone riding a camel here. I loved seeing all the animals they have to offer and they give you plentiful amounts of food for what you pay for. The emus and ostriches especially I wasn’t confident enough to feed by hand but everyone else definitely got some love. The affectionate water Buffalo and the two young goats that squeezed themselves through the fence and sat on my lap for food was a legendary highlight for me! Also got to cross off riding a camel from the bucket list for $10 :). Thank you! Perfect for families or a first date idea haha.

I have never seen so many animals that you actually touch, feed, or pet. If you are ever in the area and love animals I highly recommend it. Especially the feeding of the birds. They will land on you and eat out of your hand. Just watch your step.

This was a really depressing and disappointing zoo visit. The animals there had zoochosis which I know is pretty common but it seemed particularly bad here. Many of the enclosures were small and had nothing in them for the animals to really do anything with. Even the reptiles enclosures were really lacking. What I believe was a crocodile monitor had a terribly small enclosure but I wouldn't even know what it was because half of the animals didn't have identification plates with information. Many of the animals just seemed very understimulated and it was sad to see.

Some of the enclosures seemed so stark and small for the animals. Others seemed ok, so maybe the owners are working on improvements? Part of the area had decent tree coverage, while another part was brutally hot with no shade. A guy who was working on the landscaping seemed passionate about it, and it was pretty . I would have liked to have learned more about how the animals ended up there. Rescue?

Really great experience. A lot of animals that were active and social. Well worth the cost of admission

Took my family on a whim after not being there in about 6 years. We were very happy to see how much has changed and the improvements that have been made. The staff was so kind and pleasant that it made the experience even better. You can see how the employees truly care for their animals. Not only were the staff great to customers, they took great care of the animals as well. We were also very happy to see how affordable the tickets and snacks were! We didn't have to pay for overly priced drinks and snacks while in the park which we are very grateful for. We will be heavily considering getting a membership after our experience. To the staff and owners: Thank you all for being amazing and creating and calm yet fun place for families to enjoy seeing and learning about the animals.

Very nice place. It's well kept but staff is a tad rude. The enclosures are very small. It was neat feeding the giraffe, the parakeets wouldn't eat for anybody so that was $12 bucks out the window. Ofcourse you can't blame the zoo, but I feel like they should stop selling once the birds refuse to eat. You can take food and snacks in as well. Overall it's a neat experience.

This zoo is fairly small but also EXTREMELY affordable and full of animals that appear relaxed (except for the Emus because they always look high-strung) and comfortable. The staff was really informative and nice to talk to and there's a lot to see for how small it is. We spent a little less than two hours here but both agreed we were glad we made the drive from PCB. There's a nice picnic table area right in the middle of the zoo too.

Absolutely love this zoo. It feels very personal and personable. They have some great enclosures and everything is really well maintained. Love the staff too...super sweet and caring.

It may be a small zoo, but it's PACKED with fun and opportunities for good family memories! We go almost every month, and each visit feels like the first time! My toddler LOVES going in the enclosure to feed the birds!! The staff are all friendly and helpful. You can tell they and the animals they care for, are happy to be there. Thank you guys so much, we can't wait to come back again soon!

Had an amazing day at this wonderful zoo! Wonderful setup with the animal enclosures all well taken care of. The animals have alot of personality and it is clear they are lovingly taken care of. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the different facts of the animals. Can't wait to come again!

Took my 20 months old son here for the first time. He loved it! He enjoyed running around with the chickens, seeing the tortoises, the umbrellas, and the yellow jeep. Everything else, he acted as if he saw them every day. He had a great time and probably would have stayed all day if we let him. Also, the staff were quite friendly!

What a wonderful little zoo! We used to go to the San Diego Zoo quite a lot when we lived there and this is nothing like that scale. Having said that, because it is small, it was a much more personal experience. The staff could not possibly be any more friendly and helpful. From the moment we entered the property, the staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly. When feeding the giraffes, the zoo keeper there was telling us about how the tortoise Gertie likes to have her neck rubbed. Since it is close to the giraffes, she literally stopped what she was doing and walked over with us to help us get close with Gertie. The sloth experience and kangaroo experience were top notch and also very informative. I love when my kids can learn stuff without knowing they are being taught. The zoo keeper David (I think that was his name) was amazing on both of these experiences. Also, it is great to see that they are very animals first in their approach. Today it was too cold for the baby tortoises to be outside, so they kept them inside (to the dismay of a couple patrons) because it was best for them. Happy to see that care for the animals is top priority.

What a great place for a family to go and learn about and see animals up close and personal. The animal enclosures are clean and appropriate for the animals to be comfortable! The animals are calm and content, and there are animals that you can feed and pet! Tickets are inexpensive, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable! Loved our visit and will go back!

The zoo is so much fun. The animals are well taken care of and happy. We have a great time each time we go. We were there recently for a kid birthday party. It was a great time! The giraffe in the gift shop is the cherry on top!

Great laid back little zoo,my kids love going. Super cute gift shop with neat gifts, souvenirs, jewelry,a few snacks/drinks, some handmade gifts, specialty gifts, and local gifts such as local farm honey too .Awesome prices. Camel rides that are inexpensive and they take good care of the animals.Love the bamboo forest. Expanding and Building new better enclosures every time we go.Very friendly staff. I have seen Fun birthday parties here. Lots of Outside seating for eating/groups. Clean bathrooms, easy to find.Benches here and there for resting along the way. Snow cone Building but I haven't ever seen it open so might only be for big events. You can purchase animals food bags, graffiti leaves and bird seed sticks for the bird Avery for only a few dollars. The wolves are beautiful. Baby graffiti are adorable. Baby pigs..lots of Kangaroos and a big beautiful white tiger. The large donkey is by far my favorite personality there!!! Picture opportunities along the way. Not alot of walking with is a plus..lol
