Really enjoyed my time here. Would love to come back again with my nieces. Bought tickets online, selected time and had them on my phone quickly. Parking wasn't bad for a Saturday afternoon. It was busy but the line to get in moved quickly. Aquarium wasn't as big as I thought but it was still very enjoyable. We went through it in about 2 and a half hours at a nice easy pace. Aquarium was clean, exhibits were nice and they had cool things to see. It was cool touching the stingrays, sharks, starfish, horseshoe crabs and other things. Nice exhibits for the kids. Did not try to food but they had 2-3 places to eat and plenty of room to sit at. Either outside or inside. Gift shop was nice as well that leads to the exit. Pay for parking machine gives out token that you give on your way out. It costs $10 for parking.

Amazing!!!! I had the time of my life! No matter your age, this place will leave you feeling like magic. Easy to get to. Lots of ground level parking. $10 at the kiosk when you leave. May I suggest you buy your tickets/reservation online to avoid the box office. There are lockers available for $8, the kiosk takes cards. There are elevators available that make it wheelchair accessible. You can bring strollers. Masks were not required to enter or visit. It can get a little warm inside at some of the exhibits so dress for comfort. There's a cafe for eating, snack shops, too. The gift shop is awesome. Super habitats and exhibits. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Food and snacks are a little pricey, think movie theater but so good. The exhibits we're orderly and well managed. Cash and cards are accepted. May I suggest seeing The Mermaids when they return. Pure magic!!!! Enjoy!!!!

Our boys love coming to the aquarium. We try to get there once a year. It's a great manageable day trip. They have a section to pet some of the animals and there is a rope bridge to walk over the shark tank. I love the hippos. They do have food for lunch. Usually it doesn't take us long to get through and see everything even at a slow pace. I also like that it's typically not insanely crowded whenever we go.

My family had a great time visiting the aquarium, there is a lot to explore and my toddler absolutely loved watching the shark, hippo, penguin, turtle, fishes, birds etc.. The visit was absolutely amazing and fun. The place was clean and enjoyable however when you go closer to the open fish pool it had very strong fish smell for some people it might be bothersome, especially if you are too sensitive to smell like me. *Paid parking available. Parking fee: $10

We love this place. The staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The animals are so fun to see. The play area is a perfect halfway spot for my kids to burn off some energy. We love the different touch tanks, especially the sting rays and anemones. The shows are interesting and fun for a variety of ages. We usually bring our own food, so I can't speak to that. We enjoyed it so much, we even got an annual membership. It's not really an all day thing, but it's a good couple of hours.

Great aquarium to go to as there is at least 2 hours worth of exhibits you can look at or just sit around looking at. We went during the day so the crowds were reasonable and it was pleasant. Gift shop prices are a bit high, but its for the kids/memories. ($8 for magnets). Tickets must be purchased in advance, if you are purchasing from a discount (AAA or T Mobile) they cannot be used next day unfortunately.

This aquarium was OK, not the best. They are very limited with exhibits. The shark tunnel and the hippopotamus exhibits were the best ones. All other exhibits were mediocre. It definitely doesn’t live up to the hype it gets online. I don’t regret coming, but we definitely won’t be back.

My family and I had so much fun here. There's so many things to do and look at. I love that you're able to touch the sharks and sting rays. That was my favorite part. There's also this cool shark tunnel that you walk through and you can see sharks and all kinds of fish swimming all around you. The hippos were really cool also. I will definitely be making another trip back to this aquarium again in the future.

My daughter asked if I could take her to the aquarium for her 23rd birthday. I was so glad we went! We all had such a great time there. We purchased the tickets which were about $31 each. They have private secured parking for $10. It took us two hours to thoroughly complete the entire aquarium and included eating there at the Marketplace. The touch tank, diving show, and shark bridge were my favorites. The young kids there really seemed excited to be there. I will definitely return.

It was a nice experience! Went in on a Thursday and it wasn’t too bad! Still a little crowded but not terrible; a lot of school trips. The decor is more kid friendly and directly towards kids but adults can have fun too. There were many opportunities for employees to engage with us and answer our questions! Very involved. Had lunch in the food court. The food is expensive but it’s pretty good. The facilities were clean and staff was friendly. Personally didn’t like the layout of the aquarium. I thought it was confusing but overall it was fun!

Great time, great exhibits! We did the penguins encounter and it was a blast! Did not know that they liked to chase laser pointers like cats! It was a lot of fun for everyone and I highly recommend spending some time here and do the encounters because it was worth it!

We had an incredibly good time here. Excellent exhibits that are engaging and educational.” Come explore one-of-a-kind exhibits and over 15,000 aquatic animals, including the largest collection of sharks in the Northeast. Discover the underwater world like never before, just minutes from downtown Philadelphia on the Camden Waterfront. For a limited time, set a course for adventure this summer, June 18 through July 9, as a merry band of fun-loving pirates take over the Aquarium to tell tall tales, search for sunken treasure, and give you and your crew plenty of family-friendly pirate fun.

This is an excellent aquarium. We spent the day exploring there 2 levels. The shark tunnel is amazing!! The food is great but the price of admission is on the expensive side ($36.99) but they keep the facility up to date, the enclosures are high-end so we felt it was worth it. Lots for kids and adults to do. Loved petting the sting rays and small sharks.

I love the ocean and the life it contains. So every chance I get, I love to visit the Adventure Aquarium. The staff is great. Very helpful and knowledgeable. The exhibits are cool and well maintained. The food is good. It’s just a fun time for the family. My granddaughter wanted to see the mermaid exhibit and she was so amazed. Try it out if you haven’t already. You’ll have a great time.

I went to celebrate my wife's birthday here. I added the "Feed the Sea Turtles Adventure" to our visit. Well worth the experience! The guide we had was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions about the aquarium and the sea turtles. Seeing the hippos swimming was very fun to watch, we must have watched them play for an hour at least. Afterward, we got to see Scuba Santa and his Elves! Even the sea creatures get a visit from Santa! Highly recommended to bring your family for the fun! Recommend ordering your tickets online and avoiding the lines at the entrance.

Excellent aquarium (which we have already been to!!!) Lots of different opportunities for children and adults! Visit 5 halls (they share knowledge about the underwater world and its inhabitants), there are many souvenirs, places where you can eat deliciously, as well as children's face painting. If you are in a place where you can see a shark (several species) up close, this is your place! here you can see them from all sides, take pictures and just enjoy the view of the moving world! It was also a pleasant discovery that you can feed a stingray 😃 it’s incomparable! definitely recommend everyone to visit. PS a few details ☺️ my daughter loves axalots and they are there 🥳🥳🥳🥳 parking costs $10 and there is enough space for everyone 😃

I went specifically to see the hippos but everything there was so amazing. The viewing area for the hippos is the best I've seen. It feels like you are inches from them and that makes it so special. The other thing I liked the best was the seating/talk area of the big tank. I got to see an interactive talk with the divers while they were in the tank. I couldn't help but smile whenever the sea turtle or a shark swam by.

Great stop! Plan accordingly: it was very busy. And can be a challenge for the little ones to see. It is literally 10 minutes away from the historic district in Philadelphia. Very convenient. You can buy tickets online and skip the line. The online tickets list a timed entry but they are flexible. The aquarium was very busy when we visited. It is a little confusing at first but you can easily back track and see anything you have missed. You can see it quite quickly depending on the age of the kids. And still have a good time. :) The displays are very good: informative, creative, very well maintained. There are some very neat exhibits. The shark display is extremely cool and the hippo exhibit is huge as well. Do try to visit an Ocean Realm talk very informative. We were not able to watch the 3D theater show- and could not determine what times the shows ran. The facility is really well maintained: the exhibits and general cleanliness. Bathrooms were very clean given how many people were in the building. There is plenty of seating for food and lots of options. Everything smelled good. We didn’t stop for food but would another time. The only thing that was a little challenging was finding an aquarium staff member to ask any questions. Other than that: definitely a great experience for all ages. Plenty of parking in front of the aquarium. Easy access to the building: the aquarium is on the waterfront and so there is a great view and you can easily picnic outside as well. :)

Love this aquarium. The shark tanks are amazing and the hippos amazing. Loved watching them eat! The penguins are super cute too and love that there’s a playground for kids as a nice break to the day. We’ve been twice and it’s a really lovely day trip. I would love to do one of their activities (swim with the sharks/feed the penguins ) looks so cool and really not crazy for the price. Food and drinks are expensive but you can bring outside food as needed/wanted.

Edit in response to a review that stated all of the positive reviews were from people who hadn't been to other aquariams. I have been to #1 in the US in Georgia, I have been to Baltimore and also in other countries. They are all different. This isn't the best we have been to but we had a wonderful time. I think that is what really matters. We had the best time here today! It was extremely crowded when we got here at 2 p.m but it thinned out quickly. We went through every exhibit but I especially loved the Shark Bridge and feeding the Hippos. The 3D Movie is a must and the Shark Tunnel as well. So many things to see and do here. The Hurricane Simulator was so neat. The Aquarium is very clean, the bathroom was spotless and every employee was friendly and helpful! It's a great family oriented place and I highly recommend it. Also, if you are going to walk the Shark Bridge(made of rope and nets) don't wear flip flops! Will definitely be back!

My husband and I visited two weeks ago for his 50th Birthday. It was a great day! The aquarium was clean, well air-conditioned, and the sharks/shark bridge were AMAZING!! I do recommend you eat before you go as the food prices are grand. (They do sell beer on the patio which is nice!) I can't wait to go back! Totally recommend 👌

Lovely aquarium! Went to this aquarium on the weekend with a group of 5. The aquarium tickets were $43 per person.. Buy your tickets in advance for a slightly cheaper cost. There was an additional cost of $10 for parking… With an admission price so high, the parking really should be free! Upon arrival, I waited like less than 5 min to enter. They have reserved time slots- as per the website you can arrive within 30 min of your scheduled slot. Anyway the aquarium was nice! Best aquarium I’ve ever visited (I’ve only gone to 3) but this one has so much to see. Obviously the fish & sharks were amazing but what was really awesome was the hippos, the touch tanks & the tank architecture (the shark tunnel is a must see). They should really reduce the amount of tickets available per day because it was packed! There were so many people, they really need to manage the crowds better. Expect to see a lot of families and children running around. Parents need to manage their kids as it’s an aquarium not a playground.. anyway I did not eat at the site but they do have some food options, pizza, fries, chicken, coffees, & snacks.. After the aquarium, ppl can also take a walk in the surrounding area for a day of adventure.

Do NOT buy anything in store, they charge $2 per bag, the sharks have bloody noses from the enclosures being too small. It's nice seeing all the different species they have but most don't have enough room and look miserable. Every single thing is overpriced. I recommend eating b4 u go. The vending machines also hardly work.

It was amazing, especially seeing the hippos. It has stroller rentals and it is accesible for everyone. The only down part was how busy it gets in the weekends, so I could not see some of the exhibits. Plan to spend about 2 hours. Pack snacks too, they do have a big eating area.

Adventure Aquarium is exactly that... an adventure! From the wonderful employees to the amazing exhibits, you won't be sorry you visited. There are fish, amphibian, penguin, rhino, turtle and shark exhibits and more. Some of the water creatures are allowed to be touched. It's truly fascinating. Holiday fun. The aquariums are fabulous! Take your family and have a wonderful time. Covid adherence is a strictly adhered to.

We have been there on Sunday,it was so much fun,my kids had a great time there. Thanks so much for reopening! I purchased membership online, then I reserved the time before I go,they keep limited capacity. We all are wearing masks, and everywhere we saw 6ft distances reminder. They have watch and touch areas for touching sea animals. They also disinfect right after we touch it. They also have beautiful holiday decorations for Christmas! It feels really safe to be there! :)

My family had an awesome time here! It was great. Simple fun and different animals that you wouldn't normally see. My 13yr old & 9yr old had a blast, bit my husband and I had a ball taking pictures of the jellyfish and penguins! Hippos are definitely bigger in person, lol. 5 Stars- Definitely Recommend!!

Only giving this aquarium four stars because I've been to so many better ones and found it to be lacking in exhibits and entertainment for adults. Seems like a great place for kids, though! The sharks were cool and there were tons of little critters that kept things amusing. Overall, for $34, I think I should have gotten another hour or so of entertainment. This only lasted about an hour to get through the whole thing and nothing was too interactive. At least I got some cool pictures out of it!

Very nice place, hippos, jellyfish, turtles, penguins, sharks, and more! My favorite was the octopus. There were different penny machines all over with different animals based on the exhibit and my family had a great time there. Looking forward to coming back! Only disappointment was that they didn't have a squid, but you can't have everything!

I enjoyed the experience here, but more importantly the children enjoyed it. This place is mostly for them 🙂. I'm sure that grown-ups could enjoy themselves but I spent my time running after the children.😀There's just too much to see. They have a cafeteria, as far as I saw you can buy food as well. There is a gift shop too. They have nursery room on premise, this is an absolute plus for the place. They have elevators and some escalators. The whole exhibition is wheelchair and stroller friendly. Parking lot is in front of the building, it was $10 on a Tuesday in 2022 January. We spent around 2h there. After leaving the exhibition don't forget to take a stroll at the riverside and enjoy the view. One thing I didn't like were the roads in Camden, but the exhibition helped me forget that.

Adventure Aquarium has a bunch of exhibits, just about all of them have tidbits about conservation. There's a number of please touch exhibits for the kids (and Mom's and Dad's too if you're interested in touching them). The shark tunnel is great. Parking is easy, and for a $10.00 flat fee is easy on the wallet, and it's just across the street. Good family time for all ages. Don't forget to visit the Hippos!

Beautiful environment with most of the sea animals you can think of. Went as a group so we brought our own food, they have a variety of food sold there at the food court. We fed stingrays by hand!! Can't capture it all in a review, but it was 5 stars from everyone who went. Pay attention to feeding times so the animals are active

Adventure Aquarium is a great place for families. Lots to see there: sharks, penguins, hippos, and more. Great layout, lots of elevators available. The food concession was a little slow but had a good assortment of food items to choose from. There is a 3D movie and it was okay for kids but scary for 3 and under. Allow at least 3 hours to see everything and have a great adventure!

Came here while on a trip to Philadelphia with my fiancé. It was on the way back. So much fun and so many things to see. Lots of interesting information on all the animals. We walked a shark bridge. Touched sting rays. Saw big hippos and even neon blue frogs. We also got a caricature made of us. Great place to go and spend a few hours walking around, seeing everything and taking pictures.

I love this Aquarium and so do my boys. I have been coming here for years and it has always felt “new”. The property is immaculate, I love that it’s right on the river too! The floor plan is a little confusing but just make sure to grab a map on your way in. I will say that I don’t recommend this trip for 2.5 year old boys that refuse to sit in a stroller 😑

This was my first time to the aquarium here in Camden. It is a nice place, very clean and well maintained! I will say it is a little smaller than I thought it would be. The shark tunnel for instance was maybe 30 feet long, and packed with people. Still, I can’t deny that it was pretty cool though. They also have this walkway thing that goes over the shark tank. It was an awesome experience walking over them like that! The hippos were unexpected to me and I loved seeing them in person, having never seen them before. The food was expensive but I expected that, I don’t know I just figured there would be more types of sea creatures is all. They had one octupus, no squid, and only a couple types of jellyfish! For 50$ admission, I don’t know if I’d go again unless I was coerced by the kids lol.

Great family trip. Fun atmosphere, friendly and informative staff, and clean facilities. Check out the hippos, walk over the shark tank on the Shark Bridge, pet a SeaStar (not Star Fish…learned that today), or pet a stingray. Convenient hand sanitizing stations located everywhere around the aquarium. Our family takes 1.5-2 hours to see the aquarium. Enjoy your day at the aquarium!

So much fun! Medium sized aquarium (around 4 main areas/exhibits, A - D). You can tell the animals there are well taken care of and the tanks are clean. Loved the hippos and sharks — I could watch them forever! We went around thanksgiving time and the Christmas decorations in the tanks were so cute, love how the detail they put into it. Staff were all friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of kids there, but so much fun for adults too! Highly recommend.

A great place for the family. My daughter's favorite exhibits are the shark and hippo exhibits. The penguins are adorable. I also like the tanks with stingrays you can touch. My two year old is too scared of that but I'm sure she will enjoy it when she is older. If you plan on going more than once it's worth getting the membership. We got the membership and have gone about 5 times in the year and it's been worth it.

Went on a Saturday around noon. Parking was easy and pretty convenient access from the highway. Not too crowded for a beautiful 68° day at the end of April. Security was quick and honestly didn't really check anything. The exhibits are well organized, pretty clean and well kept. You can tell things haven't been updated in a couple years but that's expected in 2022. The exhibits were very much geared toward children, in contrast to Baltimore aquarium which is a little more geared towards teens and adults. There were multiple animal petting exhibits, a small kids play ground, coloring and various interactive stations throughout the aquarium. There was plenty of staff for the number of guests and there were no waits for any exhibit. The petting exhibits were well controlled and not a free for all, as I have seen at other zoos and aquariums. The food was ok, pretty much what you would expect at a zoo, aquarium or sports arena. The food was reasonably priced. Nothing to write home about. Overall a very good experience, Very kid oriented and would only recommend if taking children.

My family and I had a blast here. This was the second best aquarium I have been too. I loved that there was a play area for younger children and also a 3D movie room. The short film was adorable. I definitely plan on returning when I come back to town.

We really enjoyed our time here. Before you even enter the facility, the view of Philly across the water is amazing. Plenty of exhibits with all types of wildlife, and some are hands-on. Our favorite part was watching the scuba divers in the tank with the sharks. Food is available, and tickets can be purchased online (must be scheduled by time.) Definitely recommend for a quick getaway with the kids.

We really enjoyed our time at the aquarium! It was so so much bigger than we thought and totally worth the price. We bought tickets ahead of time online and once we arrived, there is a parking lot that's for the aquarium. The parking is $10. This aquarium is so much fun and with much to see and do especially the touch tanks! We're definitely coming back again soon with our other friends.

As usual, the aquarium didn’t disappoint. While the wait to see the mermaids was incredibly long, and we ended up bailing to eat lunch, the remainder of the space was perfect. The staff at the grotto and the shark touching spots were especially excellent, and the sting ray staff member was likely also great, though it was much more crowded in there. The sharks were incredible, and my two boys had a blast at all of the different viewing areas. I regularly bring my sister here and we have an incredible time. There’s so much here for interactive learning, and the play areas are so much fun.

Awesome shark tank and exhibit. We were able to see the hippos be fed which was cool. Petting the shark and sting rays were cool. Parking was easy, right across the road at a cost of $10.00

It was a nice aquarium. We thought it was pretty pricey for the size, as it is not very big and only takes about two hours to make your way through it at most. They definitely put a lot of budget into the shark area and I feel like they could have added to other areas. It’s also VERY crowded. Getting near the glass to see stuff up close can mean waiting behind quite a few people, many who are concerned with their kid first. They will push ahead and then allow their child or children to stand there for 5-10 minutes while everyone else waits to see. If you bring your children, make sure you’re assertive. I’m glad we bought our tickets a day or two in advance because when we arrived at our designated time slot, they had a sign that said the next available admission time was 2 or 3 hours later for those buying tickets at the gate. Be sure to buy in advance. They give you a 1 hour window for entry (30 minute before or after your time).

it's a little pricey for a day out, but money towards education, conservation, and the ethical treatment of wildlife is money well spent. we (2 grown adults) spent 2 solid hours here. everything was super well thought out, organized, engaging, and fun. super organized with no wait to get in, even on a beautiful summer Saturday. it was busy, but never noticably crowded. lots of touch tanks for kids and adults alike. tons of special exhibits, like the super fun penguin feeding. great encosures with very happy, healthy animals. zoos sometimes make me sad but all the animals here looked very well cared for. the staff was also so friendly and informative - exactly what you'd expect. every question I asked was answered by the nicest people I've ever met. this is a fun date and a truly incredible family outing.

Awesome aquarium. And it had hippos! Also a really nice shark tank that you can walk over on a road bridge. Several “petting” tanks, and two different penguin environments too. It’s as close as I have seen to the big one in Baltimore. Also has some amazing views of Philly from across the river.

I went with my father in law and my two little sibling in laws (8 and 10). They had so much fun!! The staff were very helpful and informative, and many of the exhibits were interactive, such as touch pools and a tank with little window domes on the bottom for kids to stand in. And I can't help but commend the penguins for their performance that day: they weren't being led by a trainer, but they were very active and entertaining!

I absolutely love this aquarium! It’s especially lovely during the week if you want a less crowded experience. I generally visit a few times a year. They only downside I will mention is this: I recently visited for the first time after becoming disabled and the mobility options need improvement. They only had three mobility scooters available for the whole building and two of them were out of order. So just keep that in mind if you have mobility restrictions.

I haven’t been to the aquarium since I was little and last weekend was my chance to go. I had an amazing time and got to see so many amazing ocean creatures and fish. I don’t remember how the aquarium looked years ago but I remember how beautiful it is. We went early and it wasn’t that bad , wasn’t crowded crowded but a decent amount of people. Definitely going back soon.

I came to Philly for a weekend trip and was unsure about going to the Aquarium at first, but I'm so glad I did! This place is huge and has so many viewing locations and giant tanks. There's plenty of touch experiences and the shark bridge was very cool! Definitely worth a visit, especially as adults :)!

This place went beyond my expectations! We had originally meant to come here a few years back, but skipped it due to going to ocean city, MD and was just gonna be passing thru. We had decided to go to the other larger aquarium. Big mistake. While we love thst one, and have a review for there as well, this one is smaller and we enjoyed it more. The shark tunnel, touch tanks, layout and overall experience we enjoyed here more than the other one. Loved the shark bridge as well. We went during the covid times, so timed tickets were needed. They are pretty specific about them too.

Went here the day after Christmas, it was great because not too many people there which makes viewing much easier and they were good about reminding people to keep their masks up. We go here about once a year and always have a nice time. The parking area is safe and clean. The restrooms were very clean.

We LOVE Adventure Aquarium! So Much so we have our wedding booked there (was suppose to be in November) All the exhibits are super interactive. I’m loving the reservation system right now, as it allows us to really enjoy the aquarium as safe as possible. The employees are helpful and informative. Each touch station is safely spaced apart and wiped down in between each group. I’m so glad we got the preschool membership. Look forward to visiting again!!

It was a great experience! My girls absolutely loved it! A little afraid of the please touch parts but the staff was super friendly and patient and my 5 year old broke her fear and touched a stingray and a starfish. Both my 3 year old and 5 year old walked the shark bridge with confidence and both expressed how much fun they had there! Its definitely a pricey place but worth it!

We hadn't been to the aquarium since the kids were 3 -- almost 9 now. They loved it!!! They were excited/nervous to enter the tunnel and see the sharks swimming overhead. We had never been on the bridge over the shark tank and had to cross it numerous times because it was so fun. The funniest was them getting up the nerve to touch the animals in the "Touch Tanks". Will definitely go again.

This pandemic has things once enjoyable to become unpleasant. The staff was great however the experience wasn't. Lines to touch the sea creatures. 3D theater closed. Shark tunnel no stopping for photos. They suggested video since you have to keeping moving even if it's baby steps because of it not having enough air flow ventilation. I am 34 and my daughter 11. I did observe that the magic the aquarium brings remained true to those 7 and under. My reasons above has made me rate this experience to a 3.

Giving 2 stars for the aquarium itself, the missing 3 are due to the inexcusable service at the front desk and unwillingness of manager Luke to assist in the situation. We were waiting outside in frigid freezing temperatures for 20 minutes while they failed to process gift cards for tickets we purchased in advance. When asked they said that they could never process gift cards correctly for years and gave no apology. They also did not allow our children (2 and 4) to wait inside while they fixed the problem. Horrible management.

Really enjoyed out time at the aquarium. Numerous COVID protocols are in place were very well done. We were trying to figure out how to get to a specific spot and a staff member saw us looking at a map; she immediately came over and gave us directions. Even though it was pretty crowded on a Saturday afternoon, we never waited for things very long. The shark bridge was the longest wait and was maybe 10 minutes. The only disappointment was one of the penguin exhibits was outside and closed because of the cold. I really wish this was conveyed on their website ahead of time, since penguins are the favorite animal of one of our group members. We did get to see other penguins but really would have preferred to have seen the other ones, and would have waited till the weather was warmer.

I think a 2 star rating is being gracious. I went to the aquarium with my husband and almost 6 month old daughter yesterday. The highlights included seeing my daughter’s eyes light up watching the fish in the tanks and enjoying time as a family. We bought tickets in advance and arrived a bit later than our schedule time. The woman at the front entrance unenthusiastically asked us when our reservation was. When my husband tried to explain how we were late she just told us to go on ahead in. Okay. There were metal detectors but they’re really only a mirage for false safety any anyone could sneak anything in. Not really safe. There are also signs posted which talk about COVID “safety” and keeping 6 feet but this was in NO WAY enforced within my observation. Viewing exhibits took some time which I understand, but especially during a time when social distancing is apparently important it was not truly valued as important as the signs portrayed as multiple families crowded around the tanks. The worst part of all was the FORTY minutes it took my husband to get us out of the parking lot due to an inadequate system in place from the aquarium. I had an enjoyable time because I was with my family and we were experiencing something new as a family; however, there are many things that which occurred which would make me hesitant to visit again. I don’t want to say I was disappointed, because again, time with family was wonderful; however, the aquarium needs to change some things for families, especially in times such as these.

Everything was really awesome. I took my 9 month old there for his first experience. The only thing that was really a bummer was the shark tunnel. It was absolutely gorgeous but you had some lady rushing you through, so your in there all of 27 seconds and then you get barked at. So you can’t really enjoy it. But other than that annoyance. It was enjoyable. Would definitely go back again when outings like that can be less uncomfortable.

This is a lovely place to visit and see hippos and penguins and everything in between on days that are very hot or very cold. It is well air-conditioned in the summer and nice and cozy in the winter. You can get there by using the river line train that begins in Trenton New Jersey or by driving. They were ample parking lots but they do charge a fee. Be prepared to pay $10-$20 per car. The average ticket for this facility is about $32 so this is not an inexpensive day. The views from outside or remarkable. It is located right on the Delaware river with great views of the Ben Franklin Bridge and the USS New Jersey. It is also directly adjacent to the BB&T arena where there is a huge line of performers each year. In the winter time they have a scuba Santa which my husband was one year. Below are the pictures of him and our daughter during one of his shows. Do you look on Groupon to see if they have any discount tickets before you buy them. Sometimes you can save a little bit of money that way. You can also view the July 4 fireworks on the river from the venue as well. Great location for that. Although Camden has a dicey past, I can honestly say that I have absolutely no issues getting in and out of the city and feeling safe. It’s come along way.

Very enjoyable time. Even with the pandemic they kept everything organized . You won't be waiting in lines ..reservations recommended to keep things fast pace. There sanitation area everywhere.. workers are polite and helpful. Great experience definitely recommend to go for kids. So much sea animals and the shark area is amazing.

Very nice visit today with our 1 y.o. exhibits were marked with traffic arrows and social distance sticker. All staffed and guests were masked. It was pretty busy but not crowded. We had a good time! Will definitely be back when our baby is a bit older to enjoy all the features this aquarium offers.

Great aquarium to visit with kids or, just adults. Pet sharks or stingrays, touch star fish too. The shark tunnel is really cool. Pretty view of the city skyline is a plus. One thing I will say is upon entering, we went through a security metal detector. People went through without removing anything from their pockets, setting the alarm off and the "guards" didnt even bat an eye or wand anyone.. kinds feel like that would be a security risk.. yes?

Awesome aquarium; specially for younger children. It is divided by zones featuring different attractions. Our favorite ones were the "touch a shark", "stingray beach club" and "the grotto" where you can touch the little sharks, rays and sea fish. We also enjoy the "ocean realm theater" and the "panoramic window"; both giving you a broader view of the sea animals. We love watching the beautiful sea horses, jelly fish, and corals. Walking through the shark tunnel reminded me of my childhood trips to Sea World, and crossing the bridge over the shark pool was pretty cool. We visited the aquarium on a weekday and it was not too crowded, but we noticed more patrons by the time we left in the early afternooon. Everything looked clean and we noticed staff desinfecting the common areas and windows on the exhibitions. We stay for a little over two hours and enjoy every moment. Parking is adjacent to the main building and only costs $10. It will be perfect if the aquarium tickets prices would be more affordable. In general it was a very good experience.

Always love a good aquarium and this one ranks up there! Exhibits are well done and the flow of the facility moves well. The shark and stingray area are generally the most crowded which is to be expected. The penguins are not as featured as like other ones. The shark tunnel is fun but the shark bridge is kind of a joke. Obviously you have to keep moving through but you cannot really stop for a moment to look down and see your fate to admire the sharks from above. My opinion a clear walking bridge would be better and easier to walk as well. Do it suspension style to give more of an effect.

Great experience. The entrance has security guards who make you feel safe. The aquarium has a Cafe area with a dine in area to eat. The aquarium was clean and well presented. I liked how they divided the aquarium into sections so you can make sure you see everything. First aquarium I've seen hippopotamus!! And a bridge over the large shark tank. They have a kids zone filled with many activities. I also liked how there was numerous tanks throughout the whole aquarium where you can touch different sea creatures.

A fun aquarium on the water right across from Pennsylvania. While this is one of the smaller aquariums I've visited, it was still packed with intriguing wildlife and activities. I really enjoyed the hippos, which you don't typically see at an aquarium. They were massive and very energetic in the water. There's plenty of food and snack options available, including a cute and well cleaned cafeteria area. A great afternoon spot for adults and kids alike.

  • 5/5 Rob J. 2 years ago on Google
This aquarium is so. much. fun. The touch tanks, large viewing areas, variety of animals, theater in the pirate cove- so many awesome experiences. My favorites hands down here The shark bridge and tunnel!! Even as an adult, they were really fun!! Don’t forget to grab a few selfies by the jellyfish, sea turtles, and penguins! Or the gorgeous view of Downtown Philadelphia right outside the building.

Was pleased to see they had a special offer for celebrating Veterans Day, with free aquarium admission for service members. I called the reservations line, ordered a ticket for myself, booked a reservation for later that day, and went online for my husband's free admission ticket. adventure aquarium was a very nice place to visit. The stingrays were beautiful and the shark walk was great! I just wasn’t expecting it to be so expensive. It was $40 a person on the day I went. Things were a little bit crowded and it didn’t feel like we were able to see every exhibit. I enjoyed the gift shop they had wonderful items for pretty fair prices. I just wish the layout of the place was a bit easier to map out, we felt that we missed out on a lot because we weren’t sure where anything was. I did think it was great that they had security guards when you first walked in, made the experience feel much more safe!

I've been living in the are for over 20 years have seen this aquarium evolve they have done a lot to try and improve but for me it's just ok. Wanted to see the hippo area but it was packed and the water was so full of debris that you couldn't see the hippos in the water. I guess it's a good spot if you have small children, but for me it's just ok.

We loved the aquarium! The hippos and sharks are sensational, just amazing. As others note, these attractions can get crowded but I never felt it was too much or got in the way of our enjoyment. If you go with kids, going early in the day use recommended. I was surprised by how much there was to see and the variety of animals. We spent about 2.5 hours here and saw everything we wanted.

  • 5/5 Craig T. 1 year ago on Google
I checked the reviews from lowest first and then highest and most recent. Not sure why some people didn’t like it….and complained about size of exhibits and cleanliness…after going I thought the value equaled the price. Also, the 3D movie was very well done and my 4 year old kept grabbing for the screen. For myself and two young daughters it was $118, but for the 2.5 hours we were there and then walked the riverfront path….it was a good $118 spent. I don’t think I could’ve done something else that captivated them as much.

  • 5/5 Tracy H. 1 year ago on Google
Absolutely loved it, especially all the sharks!!! The hippos were great too....and the penguins and the stingrays and jellyfish and octopus.....you get the idea! The show with the divers was cool too and we liked that they answered questions and took pics with people. Was our first time there....hope to come back someday.

I had not been here for quite some time. Weekend trip Sunday Parking $10 outdoors. But by 11am it was closed even though there were spaces to park and directed to the indoor parking lot cost was $12. Ticket for entry pretty pricey at $43 +tax/adult. 😱 But there is no extra fees for activities inside. It did got crowded by noon just to see the Mermaid. It was a long wait. Interesting to see. Walking the net above the shark tank was fun. Outdoors plenty to see from  the waterfront like the Philadelphia skyline, Ben Franklin Bridge and the Riverlink ferry that crosses to Philly. Worth exploring!

  • 5/5 Aneliya G. 10 months ago on Google
Excellent day adventure for families with kids under 13. We came here for mother’s day and it was not crowded. Pluses: -great exhibits -lots of opportunities to touch and feel -well spaced events/feedings -outdoor place to sit and eat (can bring your own food if you like) -free parking Negatives: -entry fee for adults is hefty (maybe that’s why parking was free) -some of the additional experiences (like VR and movies) cost more money Overall we had a great experience, we have a silver membership now and would return.

First and foremost... I give the staff a tremendous amount of gratitude. Dealing with that any elementary school students at one time and not losing their cool, is a MAJOR feat! I went as a chaperone, unfortunately not allowing me to walk through and enjoy. They do have a small playground, but it's for young children or 42in or smaller. There's plenty to see, do and eat. They have cotton candy, coffee, popcorn and much more.

  • 4/5 Rob W. 8 months ago on Google
Excellent aquarium....petting the small sharks and stingrays was a cool touch (literally)...the exhibits were all well maintained and the overall vibe is great! The only reason it's not 5 stars is the food court. Food tasted fine, but the wait was unexpected. A burger and chicken sandwich was almost 30 minutes. Stood there with numerous people waiting on food items. Nice place and well worth a visit, just plan a possible delay if you eat there.

It was a better experience versus the Coney Island aquarium but I feel it’s based on the sponsors that they have. More $ better attractions. The drive out there is not worth a one day trip, I definitely think you should find more to do in the area if you’re driving out from NYC. The exhibits were beautiful tho and the kids enjoyed it!

  • 5/5 August C. 7 months ago on Google
We went to Adventure Aquarium today for our baby's first time. Gave us something different to do and kept her thoroughly entertained (for the parts she stayed awake for). This place is very well maintained, clean, and even has manageable crowds on a Saturday in the summer. No complaints here, great aquarium for spending a few hours with the family.

  • 5/5 Peter C. 8 months ago on Google
Genuinely surprised by how awesome this aquarium was. After about an hour I thought we'd seen all there was to see, honestly the signage for directions to exhibits is a little shoddy. Luckily my neices kept pushing for us to keep exploring and we spent a further hour+ walking around finding new exhibits. And it's not overly expensive, even the food court was reasonably priced.

  • 5/5 Erica C. 8 months ago on Google
Beautiful Aquarium, the kids will really enjoy themselves ❤️ only down side is the cost of meals. They are a little on the pricey side but otherwise a great place to take your family for a day of fun. You can also take the kids on a ferry ride, behind the aquarium you can purchase a ticket. It takes you to South Street so you can also enjoy a little of Philadelphia ❤️

Wonderful experience overall. We purchased our tickets ahead of time to beat the line. We went on holiday very early in the day and a pleasurable experience. There is parking across the street that we had to pay $10 for. There is a food court inside the aquarium and there are also food trucks outside. Nice family outing.

  • 5/5 S. K. 7 months ago on Google
We came a little bit unprepared and without tickets which wasn’t a good idea because it gets very busy on weekends. Despite the long wait, it was a really cool experience still because there is plenty to see. I liked best the penguins, the Hippos and the little hanging bridge over the shark tank. At the end we had to rush through the rest so plan enough time and be prepared for a lot of families with kids.

  • 3/5 Samuel H. 8 months ago on Google
Great place to go to see animals up close in NJ. Some tanks seemed extremely small for the animals inside, particularly the octopus tank. Every enclosure seemed well kept and taken care of and it was great to see so many different types of animals up close. The stingray exhibit was interesting and I loved being able to interact with them. Super awesome experience for a day trip, however food prices were overpriced so I recommend going later in the day for less crowds and the ability to eat before you go.

Beautiful aquarium. They have several demonstrations, including penguin feeding and scuba divers in a shark tank. There are so many fish, sharks, and even hippos to see. They have an outdoor play area for kids that need to run off some energy during your visit. The parking lot is a quick walk across the street from the entrance. They also have strollers and wheelchair rentals if you need one while you are visiting. This is a wonderful place to visit.

Amazing !!! We loved it so much ! Went with my two babies 6 and 1. They both loved this place. We drove 2.5hours, so yes highly recommended! It’s so clean, beautiful. Great for kids, a lot of hands on activities. Loved the shark and hippos. Ofc since we where new to this places we did get a bit lost, it looks small but nope it’s pretty big with a lot of animals! The fish tanks are amazing. They offer a lot of stuff face painting(paid),drawing(paid) coloring(free)The staff are super sweet and very friendly! They have nice spot if you want to have food. Indoor and outdoor ( the view is amazing). They sell food not sure of the price range. They also offer ice cream I think the ice cream was about $6. Upon entering they take pictures of you in case you want to purchase a picture. We did purchase one picture for $25, but they offer the option for a digital form and it’s $30 for all picture taken (there is staff around taking pictures they give you a ticket if you want to purchase but it’s not mandatory) My favorite was the rainforest storm, sharks( there is a bridge where you can walk over the tanks, which was super cool !), hippo. ! 😁 so yes highly recommended.

We came for the holiday celebration. They did a really nice job throughout of setting a festive mood. The aquarium is top notch and has a great array of animals. If you come during the winter months, keep in mind the penguin habitat is outside so dress appropriately. It gets pricey for admission and food, but overall, kids will really enjoy the place.
