Nice place to visit for a couple of hours. The only thing that was disappointing was the extortionate price for entry... £71 for 2 adults and a toddler... We were already there and my toddler wanted very much to see the fish and would have been very upset should we have left. So by the time you get there it's too late. So heads up in the pricing. Other than that, the usual fishes on display, wander through and around the aquarium. Nice large fish viewing window at one point with a short talk from an aquarium guide about the fish inside. Nice play park at the back inside. Worth it for the 2 hours we were there, however cannot return based on the price alone. There are a lot of other things you can do a lot cheaper, a lot more entertaining and for a longer time with children than visiting this place.

Had an absolutely amazing time here with our 5 month old! We weren’t sure how much he would get out of it but he loved it! The place was really easy to get around with a pram and really well signposted so you can find everything you want to see. There are portholes in the restaurant that look out into the main aquarium which makes for a totally unique dining experience. The main attraction is of course the main tunnel, which you can go around as many times as you like. Our little one was totally blown away by the fish swimming overhead and all around. Highly recommended as a day out for anyone with little ones!

Friendly staff and an easy route round. Lots of different animals to see and read about and an incredible, long underwater tunnel to get up close with all the sharks and rays. They also have crocodiles and pelicans which I haven't seen in an aquarium before so that was really interesting! They hold great talks and feeds throughout the day in all parts. Definitely worth a visit

Great little day out. Perfect for younger children. We saw the diver show and managed to get around the venue in good time. They also have a great outside climbing frame which my 3yo loved too! Thanks 👍

Done a shark dive it was a amazing experience but thought some of the aquariums was a bit to crowded with to many fish. It was a amazing experience they've a lovely gift shop and also a outside area where you can eat ice cream the staff are very polite and helpful. This was my birthday gift that was purchased in October 2020 but with the pandemic I couldn't do the dive till June 2021 but will always remember this experience as it was a gift from my mother who sadly passed in November 2020 but sadly didn't get to enjoy the experience with me....

I took 2 (4 and 9 yrs) of my grandchildren with my wife in the school holiday week. I want to start by saying that the exhibits are good and the shark tunnel is really great, the outdoor fun and pelicans are also good, however the focus of this attraction is out of balance in that it is constantly seeking to prioritise profit from its visitors instead of making at least the same effort to facilitate those visitors have the very best day out by simply leading them through the attraction in a clear and helpful manner. The cost of the day, before travel costs, was in excess of £90 and there was a car park charge of £2.95 on the site of the attraction. When we arrived the printer at the entrance was out of commission and no ticket issued, no info given to the driver who simply doesn't know what to do and then has to choose to go in without a ticket. These delays stopped all cars in front and behind me getting in. I reported this at the reception and got a ticket and told to present it to the warden at exit, who was not there and the barriers up. I could have easily saved £2.95. Inside the attraction there was a map that was unclear on where everything was both in the upper and lower levels. The TVs had one screen showing the talks and the daily feeds whilst lots of screens came before this screen promoting diving opportunities and parties etc. (Profit before service). Announcements were few and far between and delivered through an awful PA system difficult to hear. Despite the promotion of caymans at the attraction we couldn't find any! The talk in the theatre was OK but only that. Food and drink was expensive also, so we didn't bother. All in all very expensive and poor value for money lasting 2 hours before the kids said can we go home please! As a comparator I took all my 5 grandchildren out and fed them at the attraction a few miles away at the Crocky Trail for less than £70 As stated some of the exhibits are good but we won't be going back anytime soon.

A nice place to visit with kids. Tickets are a bit expensive compared to the small collection of exhibits. Look for the timing of different shows during the day, which can be found on the website. Don't miss the demonstration by the divers feeding the sharks and sting rays. They also provide diving opportunities for novices.

This is an absolutely gorgeous place to visit and while it is pricey, it is a nice treat and day out. They have some lovely fish tanks as well as some reptiles, amphibians and insects terrariums to look at, so there's lots of variety. We went on a weekday so it wasn't too busy, I imagine it would be on weekends. The layout of the aquarium is easy to follow with it's different sections and it has lots of signs to tell you about the animal/s in the tank/terrarium. The one issue I encountered is that when you reach the section with the rays and dogfish the tanks are really low, low enough a child could reach into them if they want. There are signs everywhere saying not to reach into them, however kids won't always follow this and I did actually see a child throw his toy in one of the tanks, but luckily the adult with him could reach to grab it out quickly. It is nice to have them low and be able to see into them like that and it allows the fish to swim at the top and sort of wave their fins at you, which is cute to see. Most people wouldn't reach in, I think I just worried a bit, especially after seeing the child above throw his toy in. I think my favourite part was the tunnel near the end that goes through both big tanks. You can either stand on the conveyer belt and let it guide you through or you can walk it yourself on the carpeted side. We waited until there was no one around to go through the tunnel and it made it such a nice calming experience, to be able to see all these fish swim above you while you're being taken around, with some relaxing music on in the background. I love that the aquarium has penny machines dotted around that stamp a penny with a design of your choice, it costs £1.50 but it's contactless and the penny is supplied by the machine, so you don't have to have one on you. The aquarium does have a food court/canteen to eat at or buy food and drinks, however it doesn't have a great variety and is a bit more expensive then usual, so I'd recommend bringing food with you. It is located downstairs, at the end of the walk round the aquarium. There is a gift shop at the end, which is located at the top right hand side of the building as you come in. There is a picnic and play area for the kids outside, located through the gift shop. I would definitely recommend this as a place to visit, with or without children, even though it is expensive it is definitely worth it.

What an amazing place this is and close by the other shops too. Makes for a fun day out. Did only spend an hour n half here as didn’t take long to go round but it was really well set up and saw so many amazing things. The moving walkway through the tunnel was a nice surprise and such a treat to go through it at a slow pace to enjoy every last bit. Didn’t try the cafe but had an ice cream at the end while the kids played in the playground!

I have Been coming to this aquarium for a long time now. I love it and Both my kids have been coming since birth, they also love it. Especially on the quieter days as they can move around more freely without getting lost amongst folk. 🐟🦈🐠 It’s Smaller than some aquariums we’ve been to, but it’s still got lots to see and explore, especially with the tunnel under the sharks/tank (it’s really long and definitely our favourite part) It Can get busy at certain times as most places do, especially in the school holidays, but you still get to see everything. Food in the cafe isn’t to bad either. It’s also got good access for wheelchairs/prams. Everyone is always really friendly and helpful even in busier periods 🦈🐟🐠

Quite a small aquarium but a lot to look at! Very enjoyable for the family, but I do recommend visiting on a school weekday as it's much less busy and claustrophobic. Had an upstairs (entrance) and downstairs (cafe), with a lift hidden in a corridor for those with prams and wheelchairs.

Don't get me wrong, it is a very good aquarium, but... £25.50 to enter plus a car parking fee, does not equate to the fact that even with a 2 year old who went round things twice we were through in less than two hours. I personally do not think it's value for money, and the facilities are in a clear need of investment with wall paper peeling or the walls in the toilets amongst just some of what I have seen. The value for money and poor quality of the facilities is the reason for 3 and not 4 stars.

I love this place!! Its lovely to see such a range of animals, from tetras and sharks to frogs and pelicans. I really enjoyed my time here though it took me a while to work out the map 😅. The only downside I would say are the prices as well as seeing some of the animals exhibiting atypical behaviours but I'm not sure that's entirely avoidable in captivity unfortunately.

Great day out with our five year old son. Loads to see, the walk through tunnel is very cool. Kept his interest for a few hours and the outdoor play area is a good way to finish off the day.

I feel kind of harsh giving it 3 stars however me and my partner went and as 2 adults it only takes about an hour. I haven't been in over a decade and it's still the same as it was when I last sent which isn't an issue if it's been a while since you've been or if it's your first time like it was for my partner. I think if you're going with children that will cause you to be there longer possibly bumping it up to 2 hours+ and as a family you can get a family ticket which I'm pretty sure is cheaper than individual tickets however, for 2 adults it was just over £40 and I think if it wasn't my partner's first time or me having a nostalgia trip it wouldn't be worth that amount. On the plus side the staff were nice, there's excellent chances for pictures if that's your thing and we got some cool sea creature plushies so that's a bonus. I also guess you can take as long as you want there but I think as two adults there's only so much you can get from it. TL;DR - Probably worth it if you're a family and have children, entry cost is a bit steep for the amount of time you'll probably spend there.

Fantastic place. Took my 14 year old step son and my 7 month old. Both enjoyed it a lot. Plenty to see, takes about 2 hours to look around leisurely but there's a nice nature park to walk round and a good cafeteria of you wanted to stay longer. The shark tunnels are brilliant. The lift wasn't working when we went but the staff were so helpful and made an alternative lift available to all customers. There's lots of parking available, we got the bus and it was only a short easy walk from Cheshire Oaks. Would definitely recommend for a family day out and we will be going again.

Great experience and lots to see. We got a solid 4 hours there to see everything. Car park is charged, but they don't take registration so just say you took the bus, or park at Cheshire oaks across the road if you can. it's a bit cheeky but it is £20 per entry without adding £2.50 to park as well. Absolutely a family friendly place, but it can be a bit noisy with the number of kids about if that's not what you're after. Feeding times are great and the staff are really knowledgeable about the exhibits and answer questions really well. It has a downstairs cafe, mostly burgers and sandwiches.

Great aquarium , had a lovely time lots of different fish and I enjoyed the variety of environments they had displayed. They had a good amount of land animals too ( reptiles). Only downside was not sure if the octopus was on holiday and some of the display signs didn't fit there case

This is our second visit this year and we had a better experience this time around. Yes, it is expensive for the time you are there, but the aquarium itself is really worth visiting. The animals were very lively and our 4 month old baby loved the shark tunnel and the aquatheatre. We listened to a talk and saw the divers feed the rays. It clearly needs a bit of money putting into it and a bit of a revamp. The outside Pelican Cove was a bit disappointing and the car park lacked dropped curbs for prams/wheelchairs etc. The baby change bins hadn’t been emptied for a while and the toilets themselves need updating. The cafe is a waste of time. £8 for a sad looking baguette! My partner ordered a burger and it resembled a microwaveable burger and had 3 wilted leaves of salad on it. The cheese hadn’t even melted on the burger it was so lukewarm. It was £11. Definitely take a packed lunch! If the ticket prices were more around the £15 mark I think customers would be happier but to run the aquarium and its need for qualified staff can’t be cheap these days. We would easily spend this money on a meal at Frankie and bennys so why not on a day learning about sea life? It is far easier to think of the negatives than the positives. Our baby loved seeing the rays, clown fish and the coral cave. We enjoyed seeing the snakes and tarantulas as well as the croc! All in all we had a nice day.

Done the shark awareness day,was met by Sophie and taken to the classroom then one of the best organised days I have ever had, from feeding the rays and a guided tour of the whole site even behind d the scenes, to final opening 40mins in the tank with the Sharks. I will be going g back to do all again for about £270 for the day I felt it was worth every penny

Very quick to get around . Didn't notice much info to read. Looking tired and well worn and worst of all the moving floor wasn't working. No signs or explanations. The only fresh looking part was the shop. Had pizza in the cafe which tasted weird. Chips where good though. Was very busy. Tanks and fish seemed happy 😊

Visited today for our little boy’s 2nd birthday. We last visited in June 2019 so it was a little different this time, compared to our last visit, due to the pandemic and social distancing etc. but still a great day out. Good hygiene measures, everywhere was clean, masks required, hand sanitizer stations dotted around everywhere, staff and fellow visits followed social distancing well. Toilets and facilities were clean. It wasn’t overly busy either which was great for us. Lots of different fish, tortoises, spiders, reptiles etc. We especially loved the sharks. Outdoor play area for the children, again that wasn’t overly busy either - we had a little go on there and the boys enjoyed it (son and nephew, both aged 2). Overall a great day out, especially with children. Highly recommend.

Great day at Blue planet a couple of months back. This was the first day trip since all the lockdowns etc and felt very safe. Went around about 4 times however its a shame it wasn't longer as we felt that the price is a little expensive for a 30 minute walk if that hence why we kept going around. The cafe was very very slow hence the 4 stars not 5 think we spent longer in the cafe waiting for a coffee than the experience itself.

Such a lovely place. The colleagues/staff here are so polite and friendly. We visited with a friend who has disabilities and unfortunately the lift was broken so we weren't able to view the whole place but we've been able to revisit to see the rest of the place within the next 6 months and hoping the lift is working by then. Big thanks to Dom for being so friendly and helpful when we visited! Would highly recommend.

Really enjoyed our day at Blue Planet, my 7 month old absolutely loved it! The feeding of the fish by the diver was especially good, and the lady who gave the talk was very informative. Iv rated 4 stars because the lift wasn't working and it was a quite a nightmare getting the pram up and down the stairs!

I haven't been for quite some time, took my daughter and my partner we all loved it. I've seen comments saying it's expensive but I think it's worth the entrance fee, (these places are expensive to run )it's the best aquarium in the UK imo ,it's #15 in the world's top 50 aquariums and the first UK one to appear in that list. The shark tunnel is and always will be my favourite bit ,I recommend sitting in on the feeding time dive presentation to see the rays sharks and other fish fed. You also learn the names of the big sharks and other interesting facts. We didn't visit the cafe or buy refreshments we did visit the shop which has a good range of products. My daughter had fun in the playground and there are Pelicans outdoors too.

Went to the blue planet for a visit today , you have to pay parking which was £.2.70 but when you get to the cafe you show them your parking ticket you get 1 free hot drink , there’s toilets on both floors ,on the 1st floor the toilets there is a place to park your pram and on the 2nd floor there is a lovely cafe which has windows you can see the fish , there is plenty to see and there is a play park outside the gift shop , we had a fantastic time and can’t wait to go again .

Disappointing. Not as good as we expected. Everything looks old and well used. Cafe was a mess, food very expensive. Ordered a salad and it came 15 minutes after all the cooked food and was a bowl of wilted rocket, couple of mushy sliced tomatoes and slimy cucumbers. No one around staff seemed to be hiding in kitchen! The chameleon was great though 🤣🤣

A nice morning or afternoon out. The best bit was the underwater tunnel on the moving conveyor and we went through a few times. Another highlight is the underwater café with portholes so you can see the sharks. The prices in the café were a bit steep sadly which our wallet didn't enjoy but it was good enough for a break from walking. We thought it was a bit bigger and were saddened when we reached the exit. Glad we went though. Access was OK for people using wheelchairs and mobility walkers. There is a lift.

Not as much as I thought there would be however we had a nice time, the shark tunnel was amazing. Would have gone round twice. The outdoor bit was really good but weather ruined it. We came for the “Giant Octopus” but it was really small…

Lots to see and do here, displays are informative and visually impressive. Auditorium was great, worth trying to check times and match them to your visit. Small selection of insects, frogs and lizards. Outside had a great play park for the kids and another section with pelicans in. There was £1 arcade games dotted around which added to the fun, only thing that could be improved was the cafe. It was reminiscent of a school canteen and didn’t have very much savoury or sweet collection but we did visit on a Tuesday during term time. Looks like you could take your own lunch if you preferred, or even better the outlet village is 5min drive away with every conceivable eatery you could want.

There are a lot of different fish and marine life to see here. The best spectacle is the long, underwater tunnel you walk through and see some animals, including Sharks very close. There is a cafe in the middle to stop and eat with and indoor and outdoor play area. The one thing I will say that I found disappointing is that it only took us about 35 minutes to walk round the whole place. So don't come here expecting to take up the day.

The aquarium is quite big with loads of species of fishes. The underwater safari is my favourite part of the aquarium. There is a fast food restaurant on the ground floor with a view of the aquarium to the right. On the day we went, the toilet was not clean and was really messy, not sure if this was a one off as it’s expected to be cleaned regularly as loads of children visit the facility.

A dreamy marine utopia beautifully showcasing the deep oceanic wonders of the world What's not to love! Still open after decades of attraction Blue Planet Aquarium has stood the test of time never failing to bewilder visitors with breathtaking sights. I chose to visit again with friends after clinging to novel memories from my childhood of this aquarium and it has maintained its charm perfectly. From common freshwater fish, to small tropical rainbows, colourful frogs, deep sea wonders and the true majesties of the ocean Blue Planet Aquarium provides and excellent up close and personal look at some of the most wonderful creatures this world has to offer. As an animal enthusiast Blue Planet Aquarium offers beautifully healthy displays of well kept specimen with numerous gorgeous viewing angles, all the kept animals are well engaged and seem very happy, naturally curious of seeing their visitors as much as they are desired to be seen! The area is a vast expanse with exhibits around you at all times from fun facts to little critters a tour around the Aquarium will never cease to have a window into a world of wonder. Blue Planet Aquariums crowning jewel are the beautiful shark tunnels which to put simply is the most heavenly experience an aquarium could possibly offer. A beautiful dream come true stretch of tunnels to slowly meander through while 100s of sea creatures including large friendly stingrays and beautiful sharks kindly swim by with excellent views, I could write about the shark tunnels forever as they are a truly magical timeless area. I cannot express enough how beautiful Blue Planet Aquarium is, with ample parking, a lovely outside area for kids and a great diner and gift shop its a must visit within the Liverpool/Chester district and a highly recommended pop in if you're visiting the Cheshire Oaks. If not for anything else, go for the shark tunnels. Pictures do not do it justice, its an underwater heaven and the sights to behold are simply unforgettable. A fantastic place for kids, parents, elderly and animal lovers alike with plenty of shows and educational experiences to boot! To be able to get so up close and personal with such beautiful deep sea life is simply remarkable.

We've been before and enjoyed the experience. This time the addition of the Lego models and fact hunt made our stay last longer. We went around a couple for times and so we're there for around 4 hours. Definitely recommend. The main tank and viewing tunnel glass is spotless when compared with other aquariums we have visited.

Kids loved it. Stayed about 3 hours. Outdoor play area and Pelican feed was good too. Took own picnic as restaurant is expensive but branded ice creams £2.50 similar to other tourist attractions. Tea £2.85, coffee £3 something. Parking is payable £2.75 but sign says it all goes back into animal care. We used kids pass so for the money was a brilliant day.

Brilliant place, lots to see. Favourite part is the tunnel, feels like you are under the sea. Also finally getting to see more of the octopus, even if it wasn't the full body. Can be a bit pricey, paid around £53 pound for two adults and parking, and parking was only £2.50ish

Very expensive. Highly recommended you take your own drinks as the prices they charge at the shop on site are astonishingly pricey. I will say though that the children absolutely loved this aquarium and what they have on display is great. The tunnel is great to walk through too and the sting rays look like they all have smiley faces.

First time visiting and it was great! Much better than the deep in Hull. During Covid everyone seemed to socially distance.. those without a mask included.. the one way system was good and plenty of space in areas to pass by people and wasn't crowed after 2pm on a Sunday.. good to go for 2hrs at most.. will be back.. kids loved it.

A huge variety of beautiful fish, sea horses, anemones and worms in a natural looking environment (for them) and good visibility for visitors - especially the up close view of sharks passing directly overhead in the massive tunnel. There is a big theatre area where you see a floor to ceiling view of the tank. Overall, the whole place is very well laid out with lots of individually informative facts about most of the fish species. Oh, and they have various snakes, lizards, frogs and spiders as well. There is a cafe and there are loos. I loved it and will be going back..

I dare say there are more spectacular contemporary aquarium centres, as Blue Planet at Ellesmere Port has been around a long time now. But, it's pretty much got it all. Best bit is probably the tunnel that goes through the big tanks. Some big sharks and Rays in there. Definitely recommended. Ticket and parking prices aren't too bad either (in my opinion 🤔).

Nice place for kids. Big enough and underwater tunel is awesome. Outside play area for kids is good finish.

  • 5/5 Andrew S. 3 years ago on Google
What a fun place to visit for all, yes disabled people and push chairs can go down in the lift to access the rest of the aquarium, social distancing did work well and hand sanitisers all over, cafe is large and I guess not too badly priced if you fancy a meal there. Be sure to book online before you go.

Simply brilliant - came here when her majesty Queen Elizabeth II opened the place back in '98 - good enough for her, good enough for me !!

  • 5/5 Richard J. 3 years ago on Google
Excellent. recommend if in the area, well worth a visit. The Shark tunnel is amazing and you can even dive into the tank for a closer look.

Good but I feel a little on the expensive side 2 adults and an 18 month old £42. Bit steep in my opinion

  • 4/5 Francesco De S. 3 years ago on Google
Good for kids. I was expecting something better.

  • 4/5 David T. 3 years ago on Google
Good place to go when it's miserable weather. Lots to see, reasonable cafe.

  • 3/5 Fiona 3 years ago on Google
Very very expensive cafe with very limited choice. Sandwich was like cardboard for over £5!! No information on feed times etc given. Okay for a couple of hours.

    Good except expensive

Fish wall was good. No jelly fish or big octopus

  • 4/5 Renata G. 3 years ago on Google
I think I expected something more... It's not bad, but it could be better. The shark tunnel is the best part in my opinion. It's amazing to see those beautiful creatures so close to you.

Pros: The Shark Tunnel is amazing! Could spend ages watching Manta Rays and Sharks gliding just inches above your head. Excellent photo opportunities. Cons: 1. Price. Checked online said adult price would be £17.99 when we got to the cashier we were actually charged £19.99 per person. No explanation why it was more than the advertised price. 2. Queues. 40 minutes queuing outside then waiting at most of the glass exhibits trying to social distance. 3. Not value for money. We walked slowly round the aquarium exhibits taking close up photos and managed to make it last nearly 2 hours but if you just walked from one end to the other stopping briefly to look you would be finished in less than 20 minutes, which makes the £40 entrance fee seem extortionate.

  • 2/5 Holly C. 3 years ago on Google
Shark exhibit was amazing but no interaction so not engaging for little ones.

  • 5/5 Claire M. 3 years ago on Google
Smashing experience. Social distancing was great too

  • 1/5 Jade S. 3 years ago on Google
Very boring and expensive just loads of fish and a few sharks my kids got bored very quickly. I really wouldn't waste your money I paid £60 really wasn't worth it

  • 5/5 victoria b. 3 years ago on Google
Wonderful place, its all about the animals not the people which I love. Staff are very knowledgeable and helpful.

Yeah was good not great not that big I think we were there about an hour didnt take long to walk around but we liked it

Great day out with family. Last time visited 2 years ago so it was a little different this time due to the pandemic obviously and social distancing. Good hygiene measures, everywhere was clean, masks required, hand sanitiser, staff followed social distancing well. Toilets and other facilities were clean.

  • 5/5 Sarah P. 3 years ago on Google
Had a great day out. Loved the sharks and had fun frog spotting.

A good attraction but overpriced especially in the current times

We did the shark encounter dive today, and it was amazing! The dive instructor was really friendly and explained everything well, really made you feel relaxed. And his 2 safety divers were just as lovely and reassuring both above and under the water. I was afraid of scuba diving this deep as only done it in a swimming pool but as soon as you submerge it doesn't feel deep. I think walking along the bottom helps keep you grounded. The sharks and fish all came so close, it was unreal! Not scary at all. Very good social distancing. And friendly staff.

  • 4/5 Nic S. 3 years ago on Google
We had an enjoyable visit to the aquarium today. Most people behaved well with good distancing and mask wearing. The exhibits are nice, clean tanks and plenty to see. The shark tunnel is fantastic too. It's quite expensive for a place where (with no kids) you are through it in 60-90 mins but we like seeing animals so we didn't mind too much. As others have said, don't pay for parking. We paid for it online but nobody checks anything and the barriers are up, it's a total con.

  • 1/5 Michael D. 3 years ago on Google
Disgusting service..paid for junior shark dive and instructed to arrive 15 minutes early. Waited outside for 10 minutes in the pouring rain as the facility didn't open on time! Absolute joke very poor service during difficult times when business's need to make sure more then ever customers are treated well

  • 5/5 Doreen S. 3 years ago on Google
Great visit with my 2 grandchildren on a rainy horrible day. They loved the tunnel with the sharks swimming overhead and the rays gliding past. They loved it and asked when we could go for another visit.

  • 5/5 Stephen J. 3 years ago on Google
Great destination to take the kids. The 'under the sea tunnel' is great for seeing the sharks and larger rays.

  • 5/5 Ada W. 3 years ago on Google
We went to the Planet Aquarium to celebrate our great grandaughters 3rd Birthday she really enjoyed it and the social distancing was good.

    Great time with our grandson.

The aquarium was lovely, lots to look at! Also has an outdoor play area which the kids loved. Found restaurant was hit and miss, the risotto was great but fish was watery and sponge cake was a bit stale. One meal was forgotten, but when they realised they did offer free drinks or portions of fries to make up for it. Overall found customer service to be great. Gift shop well stocked. Definitely worth a visit.

No talks on due to covid which was a down side but overall much the same as last time we went. Starting to look a bit tatty but lots of fish and sharks swimming above you. Usual over priced gift tat. Kids liked it

Great experience, especially for children. Worth a visit for adults too.

  • 5/5 Ryan P. 2 years ago on Google
Truly the most amazing experience. To look into the eyes of a shark and she looks back at you! To give a triggerfish a massage! And the whole crew were brilliant and done everything for you to enjoy your experience!

  • 4/5 Luke P. 2 years ago on Google
Lovely place with a wide variety of aquatic creatures to wonder at. Also offer diving with sharks if you're rich lol

  • 5/5 Danielle E. 2 years ago on Google
Always love coming to blue planet! One of my all time favourite places to go for a day out. Reasonably priced in my opinion, variety or fish / aquatic species to see, perfect for people of all ages!!

  • 5/5 Jenny G. 2 years ago on Google
Wonderful experience. The theatre area and tunnel were so atmospheric. The music in the tunnel was beautiful, too. We have been to LOTS of aquariums, as my son is fish-mad, I reckon this is far and away our NUMBER 1!

  • 4/5 Ali G. 2 years ago on Google
No social distancing, the one way layout often ignored. Very busy. Food expensive. Service slow. People so close to each other. Variety of sea life and information about them is good. Shark tunnel short but fun.

  • 5/5 Connor 2 years ago on Google
Amazing place for a day out with loads of information and great tanks to view many aquatic animals and fish. Would definitely recommend for all age groups and even parties. Able to book a scuba diving experience through the shark tank.

  • 5/5 Wendy T. 2 years ago on Google
A lovely experience seeing the sharks and different fish

  • 5/5 keith b. 2 years ago on Google
Great place for the kids, parking isn't free, take a packed lunch as it will work out expensive if you've got a few kids, worth walking through a few times as the kids run around the tanks, seems to be a little less going on since our last visit pre lockdown,

  • 4/5 Tammi C. 2 years ago on Google
Nice, peaceful day out. Not too busy in a weekday and the shark tunnel has a cool conveyor belt that you can stand on as it takes you through the tunnel. The gift shop did not sell drinks and was a bit pricey. All drinks machines are currently not working (possibly to limit the virus spread). There is a cafe that is very highly priced that I had to buy two bottles of drinks from which ended up costing nearly £6. Definitely take your own drinks and snacks if you want to have a great budget day out.

Beautiful and attractive little aquarium but have a pretty good variety.

  • 4/5 Kristaps_UK 2 years ago on Google
Nice place to go, would like to say a bit overpriced for the amount you can see there. In a hour in slow walk can easily get through it. Overall it's good

  • 4/5 Joanna G. 2 years ago on Google
Great place to go with your kids or just even for yourself:) it's not huge inside but enough to keep you interested for at least two hours! We loved the walk through the aquarium where you have fishes swimming above you and on the sides, like you are going through the cave. We managed to attend feeding session which was very informative and amazing to watch! Would definitely visit again. The price of the ticket is appropriate too.

A great family day out with plenty to do and see. Everything here you need along with eating and a good gift shop. Book your tickets online if you can to ease the queue at the door.

Great family day out. So interesting and so brilliantly layed out. The walkway is superb but all the other exhibits are excellent too. My 7yo boy has been 4 times and each time his enthusiasm for it is lovely to watch. Enjoy!!!!

kinda expensive for one time visit, better off with annual price, all are definitely 5 stars ⭐ love the fishes and display and staffs here x

First time we came here today. Have to say it was brilliant. My little boy absolutely loved it. We will definitely be coming again.

The actual aquarium is a must see for young and old. We really enjoyed the experience. The only downer, was the Nautical restaurant. Food is extremely expensive, and not very good.

  • 3/5 Dan C. 2 years ago on Google
Nice day, saw lots that I haven't seen before at my local aquarium. Was VERY busy but I went on the weekend so I can't complain. I feel like the aquarium does seem smaller than you first thing and there is not as much to see as I thought. Also in the gift shop there was none of the usual gift shop items such as small pens, rubbers ect but more of the large higher priced gifts. Was going to eat in but was absolutely packed.

  • 5/5 Jennifer G. 2 years ago on Google
I had the best experience of my life.. It was my first time in my life to see the sharks 🦈 with my naked eye... I wanted to go to blue planet just for the sharks.. 🦈.. I love to dive in as well and hopefully will come back soon...

  • 5/5 Sylvain M. 2 years ago on Google
Spent an amazing 3 hours in this place and loved every single minute of it. The highlight were probably the glass tunnel and the feeling time but the whole experience was just incredible.

  • 4/5 Michelle M. 1 year ago on Google
Had a great day with my little boy, lots to see! The site was clean, easy to find and ample parking. Only given 4 stars as we didn't eat here so unable to comment on food or pricing

  • 4/5 Victoria W. 1 year ago on Google
I enjoyed it here, it was a nice visit. I enjoyed the tunnels the most with the sharks, I could of stayed there forever. It was quiet when we visited so was unexpected as the first day of the school holidays. The cafe looked nice but we did not eat there but looked popular. We paid online which was easy to do and also paid for our parking online too, getting our ticket validated at the desk. Would definitely visit again.

  • 4/5 Lewis R. 1 year ago on Google
A great aquatic experience that rivals that provided by other larger places. Best to book when there are offers, disappointing that there are additional charges for parking but the facilities were clean and in generally good order, certainly a worthwhile visit though can get very busy quickly. Nice selection of marine life including the highlight shark tunnel and big window. *EDIT* The website indicates a fee for parking which we paid, we have since contacted them to clarify and request a refund if this not the case; learned this through following other reviews which suggest free parking.

Had a day trip here today as my little boy loves fish, wasn't all that impressed to be honest. Pulled onto the carpark and wondered why it was so quiet for a bank holiday weekend but once inside soon found out why. Its not very big at all, can be in and out in under an hour and for the price you pay it seemed unreasonable, don't get me wrong they have some beautiful fish to look at and the underwater tunnel is pretty good but its just not very big or much to see and do for how much you pay and you have to pay too park too which seems ridiculous! Don't think we will be visiting here again.

  • 4/5 Daniel J. 1 year ago on Google
Beautiful place to visit and bring the kids. Plenty of parking spaces very friendly staff I suggest you come as early as possible because they have different guides at different times to showcase the different department. The best part is by far the tunnel. Good variety of fish. The only downside is the price of food and drinks prices are 3x what you see in the supermarkets.

  • 5/5 Ian B. 8 months ago on Google
I attended on crutches the staff couldn't do enough for me even offering the use of a wheel chair if I needed it there was plenty of areas to sit for a rest the junior scuba diving experience was fantastic for my son everything was explained in detail by knowledgeable staff and professional on site divers well worth the cost you are leaving to take photos of your kid entering the aquarium and further photos can be taken from the tunnel while the kids are in the watter

  • 4/5 Jessica w. 7 months ago on Google
Wow! What an amazing day for the kids and myself! Some incredible sea life to see. Bought our tickets online.and used the "kid for a quid" deal and my toddler was free, so only paid £26 altogether. The only down sides are that the food place there is extortionate price wise and food isn't great also the gift shop is ridiculously expensive! Apart from that it was really good and would go again

  • 5/5 CJP 7 months ago on Google
Really impressive selection of sea life. Probably the best I’ve seen in this country! The ride on walkway that runs underneath the aquarium with the sharks and other huge fish is fantastic! The only downside is the price: £25 per person makes it pricey for a big family

  • 5/5 Natalia C. 8 months ago on Google
It was nice to revisit the aquarium after a few years, although not much has changed (if anything at all). Well, apart from the massive LEGO figures dotted around the place, which were pretty impressive. You can go around the aquarium within a couple of hours or so and we went around the whole thing a few times. It's good because the size of the place is not overwhelming, and as a first-time visitor (or reoccurring), you'll be able to catch all the animal talks, which I highly recommend going to. Especially the one in the aquatheatre where you get to see the divers feed the fish from inside the big tank.

  • 3/5 Ross D. 4 months ago on Google
Great place for the kids plenty of interesting things to see. The pelican cove where the kids Teddy’s and toys were, was extortionate in price. The food in the kitchen area was extortionate too £8.25 for a tuna, baguette and the main menu was over priced to. Go there don’t eat or buy anything and you’ll leave happy as Larry 😅.
