I must say.. UPSA Hostel gave me first taste of Uni life it's a great place to be. It houses roughly 3700 students. Room booking is easy done online via the hostel portal. The rooms available are 4 in 1 rooms, 2 in 1 rooms and 1 in a room. Also access to water is not a problem and a standby generator is available in case of infrequent power outages. Then again each floor in Hostel A has 3 study rooms making it very convenient for us to study. Each hostel has an elevator and 3 stairways for easy movement. And finally what every student wants a WI-FI CONNECTION. Yes UPSA HOSTEL got you covered. Attached are some pictures of Hostel A, B and C

Very big and accommodating 7 floor facility. About 800 Rooms that are all self contained, large and spacious enough for 4 persons. There is also an elevator present in the building. Staying g here for a week and it's already been fun.

It's a nice place but few people sell food around. There is a nice cute restaurant at the cafeteria now.

You won't get everything at the mart,if you do the price is sometimes outrageous. The elevators aren't in use meaning you'll be climbing to the 7th floor and 9th floors anytime up and down and that's quite tedious. Cleaning up at the hostel corridors kinda take time sometimes goes into the early mornings of the day. Lots of fixing has to be done in the rooms even before students arrive but hmmm unless a complain is launched. The cafeteria isn't even enough! Some of the porters aren't even nice and do not know the students who are supposed to be in there. Maintenance issues because they feel oh it's students...

No visitors are allowed to enter the premises and you're not allowed to bring certain things like hot plate to the hostel.Meanwhile there's no kitchen or gas stoves to cook with. How do they expect us to cook and eat?

It's a nice hostel accommodating more than 1000 students. It's almost like home. There's availability of water during water shortage and also a standby generator Incase of light outs which rarely occur. The hostel looks stunning during night time with the lights on.

Why would the UPSA Hostel Management pick a day (Sunday from 1pm) for all the hundreds of students to report knowing that they do not have sufficient car park space and that the only lift/elevator in the facility is out of order? Why? Why do we always create unnecessary problems for ourselves? Do we enjoy long queues just to see people struggling and chaotic situations? Couldn't they easily plan to allow the students to come in batches, say 200 to report at 10am, another 100 to report at 1pm and another 200 to report at 4pm? Or even on separate days before lectures start on Monday? Again, the place was rented out for the delegates the previous day but the hostel management did not even bother to clean up. Why couldn't you organise for the place to be cleaned? You charge Ghs1,700 plus per Semester per Student (for 4 students in a room @ Ghs6,800) and yet you cannot keep the facility clean even on the reporting day? I was so disappointed.
