What a wonderful experience eating here. This place is full of love and savory food. I was so impressed by their utensils and plates which were biodegradable. Zero waste is being practiced here and the people who work here are filled with so much compassion and great energy. Excellent service, unique style of different foods. I am not vegan but eating healthy foods is a plus to better health, and this restaurant has also been my go to place during my yearly fast. Normally, the food has been good, but not without some service issues that if corrected could make this rating higher. My number one gripe is if you no longer have an item on the menu, remove it from the menu. Secondly, during the morning rush have more than one waitress. Have someone to double check the order before sending it out to maķe sure everything ordered has been included. A check of juicers, or other machinery, should be routinely checked to insure they are in order at the start of the day, to avoid a customer being informed some twenty minutes after they have ordered, that the juicer is not working. Again, the food is great, and you can sense that the owner is constantly looking for ways to make the dining experience/atmosphere enjoyable. These minor tweaks are sure to improve service to a greater level. The restaurant is open Mon-Fri, and Sunday, however closed part of Saturday for religious observance.

Visited this vegan gem today, absolutely love the ambiance and energy of this place, the owner and staff are so welcoming. I ordered the banh mi and the all American cheeseburger & the red velvet cake. Everything was spectacular. Definitely will visit again. They have an expansive menu and lots of healthy drink/snack options available while you wait for your food.

Ok so I’m going to keep it 💯 with this review. I ordered the lemon pepper jerk chicken ( seitan) with quinoa, steamed veggies and a side of lentil soup. I also purchased the Golden Monkey smoothie. 1st let’s talk about the food. Everything was super tasty. The veggies were not soggy and had a nice crunch to it. They were so harmoniously seasoned to perfection. Not salty, not oily and you can tell that it was flavored with natural herbs. The meatless chicken( seitan) was so flavorful and savory. The lentils was a great addition to everything else. I can say I was pleasantly surprised. This tasted like a home cooked meal made with love. This is what I call vegan soul food. The smoothie was superb 👌made with almond milk, bananas, cashews & dates. Now The total for both was about $30. I know… more than I expected to spend but honestly it was worth it. I wouldn’t splurge everyday but to be satisfied with a guaranteed good meal it’s well worth it and I would spend it again and again. Don’t let the price deter you. Your taste buds will thank you. Went here with my brother from New York and loved the food. I ordered quite a bit, I will definetly be back. The burger sliders were delicious and the supreme pizza is awesome. The best part of the meal was our server being so entertaining.

i have been vegetarian for about 7 months and i have always struggled with finding good foods that i can eat at restaurants. My parents and sister aren’t vegetarians but we all chose to go today for lunch. We all loved the food. My dads one of the biggest carnivores and he’s even a chef at a famous restaurant and he loved the food. The food has such unique and familiar flavors. The smoothies/juices are INCREDIBLE. Its such a cool and underground place too. The staff is so sweet and it feels like you’re with family. Will definitely go again.

I recommend the "chicken" burger, its name is jerk "chicken" burger (remembering that all "meats" are plant-based), this meal is worth it! A tip the potatoes are paid separately so if they ask which fries you would like in your burger, be aware that they will charge you for it! is not part of the dish. Had the short rib. Felt like I was having home made food. Service was quick and the owner was splendid to speak to. My friends had the chicken curry and loved it. I tried it and honestly preferred their plate more. I will be coming back here to try out more plates. Super healthy.

Picked up lunch to go today and had a cheese pizza with spinach and a liquid gold smoothie. Pizza comes out and I’m waiting for my smoothie and overhear two young employees arguing about who should make the smoothie. This went on for 10 minutes until the girl at the register adamantly told the guy to make it and then it took another 5 minutes to juice it. While the slice of pizza I had while waiting was good, by the time I left and walked the 5 min to my office it was cold. The smoothie/juice was alright. I honestly was quite confused how this place is so highly rated because the other customers, while not made to wait like I did, were just as confused. They weren’t busy at all, only had 3 other customers. I didn’t even get an apology yet alone something to compensate me for waiting over 20 minutes in the store when I should have been out when the pizza was ready. I never expect freebies because things happen, people are new, whatever. But not even an apology after hearing them bicker 5 ft from me about who should make it lol. Definitely won’t be coming back which is a shame since I work across the street and support all the other good local businesses.

Hidden little hole-in-the-wall restaurant serving great vegetarian food. Service was unhurried, very laid back, but everyone was so polite. Substantial portions, good options on the menu. They even had a couple of gluten-free options. We got the 'Cashew kale sunflower plate', the Adzuki burger, a pizza and sweet potato fries, all great options. Their juices were also very good, specially their sugarcane juice.

Amazing little vegetarian haven. Great choices for vegans or vegetarians on the menu. They have a meatless alternative to popular American and Caribbean style dishes. They also sell juices and desserts that are vegan and sooo good. I recommend the chocolate cake.

I met the owner Hakim today when I went into order some lunch to break my fast. I ordered the no tuna wrap with kale and vegan cheese as well as the side of gungo peas soup. The total was about $14 so not too bad, minus the size of the soup (8 oz but it does not look about that size). I am giving this place 4 stars as the wait for this wrap was about 20-25 minutes and that's really too long. Perhaps I will order ahead in the future but that's one of the first things that needs to be worked on. Also, the young lady at the counter was a bit difficult to understand. Other than that, a Sabbath keeping restaurant which is vital & Caribbean/Jamaican, two things I adore. I will visit once more to see if the timing is better before I recommend it to my church, and there are photos of my lunch below.

I’m a type of person that usually cleans his plate but with this one I just couldn’t.... (JerkBurger) there was no taste to it. The seasoned fries were PHENOMENAL!!!! I would go back just to eat 5 orders of fries no kidding!!! And their natural juices are totally on point! The service was excellent! They even offered that they would of switched it out if I didn’t like the burger. What type of restaurant has that type of service!? This place is a gem ? hopefully my next experience will be better so I can give you an update.

Little 100% vegan restaurant and market in a small 163rd street strip mall near 95. Don't let this place pass by without a stop! It may not look like much from the outside, but it's got a lot of awesome on the inside. It's Caribbean and american dishes are made of health-food magic, but don't taste like it. They taste like yummy goodness. They may have a lot of homeopathic and detox items inside, but the delicious meals are what will keep you coming back. It's got smoothies and juices to order. Healthy and so very tasty breakfasts, sandwiches and entrees as well as the prettiest vegan desserts around. I ordered a few things to go as it was my first time and I really wanted to try everything. The dining room is obviously not open right now, so take-out it will be! I had the philly cheese steak breakfast and order the no bone pork sandwich to go with some vegan meats on the side to have for lunch the next day. Of course I tried them all as soon as I walked in my door and LOVED everything. Even the bread on the sandwiches was incredible. So happy I stopped by instead of driving passed this restaurant. As a side note, everyone who works there that I met was so nice and so helpful, offering suggestions and showing me around all the items for sale in the seperated areas. It was just such a great vibe being there. In that note, they have a huge selection of Irish moss jellies in various flavors and they gave me a sample of the guava and soursop... Get the guava. You can eat it like a dessert it's so good!

Super friendly service and amazing food! It was so hard to take the pictures first before inhaling it all! I got the BBQ rib sandwich and my partner got the incredible philly cheesesteak sandwich. The seitan was out of this world. It was so juicy and the sauce took it to the next level. 100/10 will come back over and over.

I have stopped by this restaurant for about 6-7 years. The owner has been kind since day 1. The food is great and very healthy. I get sad when the Spinach patties aren't available because they are so delicious! I recommend it as well as the Philly Cheese steak, and the Cashew-Kale burger. Their fries tastes very good as well.

I ordered this to my hotel via GrubHub. I eat vegan and very familiar with vegan food. I ordered early in the day right before lunch. I got the Vegan Philly Sandwich with Sweet Potato Fries and Red Velvet Cake. It was around $35 with fees. The sandwich says it comes with grilled onions and a side salad which were both missing. It did have a couple of jalapeno peppers on top which was not listed. It tasted like it had been microwaved at best. The bread wasn't toasted. For $14, I would expect some effort. Lots of glue like cheese. The fries were not cooked and a little hard on the inside. The red velvet cake was not the chocolate with cream cheese frosting, but more like lemon cake and really tiny for $6.99. I gave 2 stars bc they are vegan and I appreciate the effort, but this food was not good and not worth eating. It's in the garbage, I'm out $35 and still hungry.

I stopped by early one morning during a layover. I was delighted by the decor and range of healthy options. The vegan "tuna" and sweet potato fries hit the spot. Likewise the sapote shake was delicious and filling. I ordered muffins to go - huge, moist, and not overly sweet. Staff was welcoming and helpful. Felt very tight-knit and down home. My sandwich was yummy, everything looked clean, and everyone was very friendly! I really liked the dressing they used for the salad. I've never had anything quite like that. I wish I could go everyday for lunch, but I would go broke. It's not cheap. But you have to think about how expensive all of those ingredients are. I have realized that eating vegan (the fresh, healthy, delicious way) isn't cheap even when you do it yourself at home. So I will continue to go there as a treat to myself.

I want to start by saying that the food tasted really good. Absolutely delicious. On the other hand, the food and drinks were incredibly expensive. Two drinks, two meals and a small desert will run you 70$. Not only that, but they overcharged on the bill. Changing your salad for a fry was an extra 4$ but we were charged 5. For both meals. That's still 10$ just for a salad to get changed to a fry. The tables were all wobbly and some dirty. We were also supremely rushed. While we were midway through our meal we got the check, before being able to order anything else like a desert.

This market/restaurant has so much potential. The service was great from start to end. The problem I had was the store part is it has too much going on by the register. From black seed oil to vegan candy. It's very cluttered. The restaurant part needs fixing as well. There's stuff everywhere. I honestly thought they were in the middle of a renovation but even if they are, that part should not be exposed to your customers. The food was okay. Sweet potatoes fries were good.

Me and my wife have been coming here for years. And This is by far the best Vegetarian restaurant in South Florida. Food is absolutely delicious. With Such a great atmosphere. This is our #1 go to when we are in Miami. And the owner Hakin is one of a kind.

Today I had lunch at the vegetarian Restaurant by Hakin. The customer service was amazing! The food was prepped to perfection, full of flavors and was served timely.

The vegan ginger chicken and brown basmati rice with black bean soup were superb. The adzuki bean burger my husband had was delicious. Very cute and laid back atmosphere. Must try. We’ll be going back soon.

If you’re thinking about becoming a vegetarian, but concerned that the food won’t be as enjoyable, this place will prove you wrong. Their meals taste like soul food, but without the sluggish and sleepy feeling you’d get from eating unhealthy.

The concept is great, I especially love that it’s Black owned. However, the food wasn't as flavorful as I expected. Not a lot of seasoning in any dishes I tried and it’s very disappointing. Vegan food shouldn’t be bland.

Great options and food is delicious.

I spent $50 on a order that contained a “hot” wrap, a smoothie, the philly sand which, and some muffins. The food was good! I wasn’t expecting the wrap to have ginger in it because it doesn’t say it does, but it did. That wasn’t even a problem. I’ve never received such bad customer service. I was so excited to finally find an amazing vegetarian place with so many options! However they informed me they didn’t have muffins today, so when I asked how to get my $5 back that I spent on the muffins they told me that I would have to reach out to Postmates for my money. I then left, cane back 2 minutes later and asked how exactly because it wouldn’t let me. They further told me NO I would HAVE to get a refund through Postmates. However after emailing with Postmates customer service they told me that since it was a pickup order that the merchant, which is the store, has to give me my refund. So here I am being told by both of them I can’t receive my refund and I paid for something I NEVER received. When I called to speak to them about it they told me that they couldn’t help me. I’m so disappointed. Such bad service over $5, when I spent $50???? And was willing to spend that EVERY week. So they missed out on my money because I refuse to ever go back. Smh.

We have had several unprofessional and bad customer service experiences here. The wait time is very long and disorganized. The waitress came back for a third time after a long time of waiting just to say that some of what we had ordered was not even available (after all of that waiting). When we finally got some of our food, which was room temperature and not even worth the wait, we still had not received our entire order and had to ask someone where the soup we ordered was, and he said they forgot about it. And we had previously ordered food to-go which we had also been waiting for, for nothing, and had to cancel that part of the order to not have to wait even longer for unimpressive food. The bathroom is also very dirty, and they unfortunately use plastic bags and disposable plates and utensils even if you are dining in. And rather than properly update the menu, there continued to be items on the menu that the staff said they don't even offer anymore. There are several issues, and we have had several unprofessional and bad customer service experiences here. Not worth it.

I ordered the vegan ginger chicken entree and I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty everything was! The ginger "chicken" was phenomenal - not too spicy, but had a kick that awakened my tastebuds. I opted for the spinach brown rice side as opposed to the quinoa (which I'm sure would've been just as tasty!) If you're in the N. Miami Beach area - vegetarian or not - be sure to check out this little oasis if flavor! You will NOT be disappointed!

Omg so my daughter is vegan and my son and I are not. We tried this place and my son got the vegan chicken meal and I the vegan chicken pizza, my daughter got the kale cashew burger. The food was amazing and the service was outstanding. The gentleman was very down to earth and was really excited that we were excited about what we were about to experience. So my son was doubtful of what to get and he gave us a sample of the vegan chicken. Just blew us away and we ended up getting another one Togo. Definitely would recommend and we will go back.

I like the food. Price is a bit on the expensive side (considering the location and cosmetics of the place) and unfortunately, even though everyone that works there is friendly, they are very slow. Orders take so long and that's the main reason of my low number of stars. Once you finally get your food.... you can enjoy a good meal.

Paid over $45 to get delivered a COLD pizza, BARELY any chicken and drowned in ranch, ordered a chocolate chip cookie for $3.99 and got a white chocolate chip Lenny and Lerry cookie that cost $2.00 at any gas station, but the back of it is labeled $2.99... The ginger pinapple smoothie was nice but cant make up for cold food, mislabeling, and over charging.

My favorite restaurant in Miami, period! It is hard to find a vegan place that has decent food. This place has great food ! We eat there every time we visit the area my family and I . We traveled as much as 1 hour each way to eat there. And the place never disappoints. The staff is very friendly and Hakin, the owner is great host. He always stops by to say hello. My wife and 4 kids love the Pizzas and the smoothies while I like everything, But especially the ginger chicken. So good! I wish I lived closer. I would eat there every day. Try it for yourself. I promise you will not be disappointed.

I ordered the vegan chicken entree through delivery. The food was excellent, and it was served in reasonable portions. However, the delivery took more than an hour, and the food arrived sweaty and cold. I genuinely feel like if I had received the food earlier, it would have tasted better. Overall, no complaints because the delivery driver did have to deliver a few orders. Based on the food, I would like to dine in very soon.

Me and my woman both had these short ribs and sweet potato fries. Just beautiful and tasty is all I have to say. Grabbed 2 jars of seamoss on my way out. Best spot in the whole Miami if you need healthy food. Thank you guys and we will be back - from Alabama

Used to be my favorite place for pizza but just got a Vegan Chikn BBQ pizza that had only 9 small pieces of chikn in the whole medium size pie. Crazy, $18 for only sauce basically. Barely had onions! It’s just sauce ! If I wanted a cheese pizza I would’ve asked for one. Never going back and I will not recommend.

Listen I'm in the process to converting to a vegan. First time trying it and let me tell you I don't think I'm going to have a problem crossing over. I love the food. I was really impress. Great Job

This place is incredible. The owner and staff are so welcoming and friendly, and the entire vibe makes you feel right at home. The food is also delicious, one of those kinds of places where you almost don’t know what to order because everything sounds so good. Looking forward to coming back again and again.

The food is UNBELIEVABLE - whether you're vegan, vegetarian or a carnivore - you will LOVE it (and not believe it's vegan) - if ever you thought vegan food was bland and boring, you GOTTA come here - it will change your mind for forever. It's a wonderful place, and you HAVE to try the Golden Monkey smoothie - it's phenomenal, but then so is everything there. The only problem we have is with parking (can be tricky) - but it's totally worth it. Amazing amazing Hakin - thank you

The owner was Great! He gave us a sampler of the popular dishes (which were All delicious) we ordered several dishes to share and enjoyed Every bite. I HIGHLY recommend this place. The flavors dance in your mouth. Hands down my new favorite place to eat.

Best smoothies and phone is that it’s healthy for you and all natural. Great customer service. I had a little Haiti smoothie but I also love the golden monkey smoothie.
