Great vegan restaurant that even the meat eaters enjoyed! One even said it was there favourite meal of our holiday! We are a group of 6 so booked ahead for a table and they were lovely on the phone to help accommodate us. Service was good and the food was great! As a vegan it was brilliant to have the choice of the entire menu! I went with the pasta of the day, which was mac and cheese and it was lovely. Two of the meat eater went for the chicken burger and loved it. Also another member who really enjoyed their had the mushroom fusion. Also a shout out for the gravy too. Everything was lovely, would recommend for all not just vegans.

Wonderful restaurant! We ate four different dishes and enjoyed all of them! You couldn't tell it was vegan. The garden in the back is very cute and servers were kind.

The Cornish Vegan is our absolute favourite restaurant!! One of the very best vegan restaurants in the country, and we’ve been to many! My girlfriend and I go here regularly and for special occasions, because the food is just to die for! Amazing flavours, fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked every time. We love the variety on the menu too! You’re spoilt for choice! Although we have to admit that we go for our favourites too often… we particularly recommend the ‘fish’ and chips, the Canadian poutine, the burger, the hotdog, the onion rings, and the mushroom arancini! All so so delicious!! The vegan fish and chips is the best I’ve ever had and I have it pretty much every time! The atmosphere of the restaurant is always so welcoming too. The decor is lovely, comfy chairs and tables situated ideally for the perfect meal out - whether it be a chilled lunch with friends or a cosy romantic dinner. There’s something on the menu for everyone - vegans and non-vegans alike! They’ve got various gluten-free options and options that can be adapted for children too! Perfect food, brilliant value for money, lovely atmosphere, friendly owners, just amazing all-round. The Cornish Vegan deserves every bit of praise and success. Thank you!! 🖤

Four different meals ordered, and all were absolutely delicious ! My wife is vegetarian so she just adored it, I’m a meat eater but it just doesn’t matter when food tastes as fantastic as this does ! Great service, price was surprisingly low, and even my trusty four- legged friend was brought a water bowl and a doggy biscuit on his own plate ! My daughter and her partner were extremely impressed and will return to the restaurant as they live locally. A big ‘thank you’ to all involved at The Cornish Vegan 👏🏼

Delicious meal at the Cornish Vegan. I was very impressed with the vegan Reuben sandwich. Wide selection of beers, wines, and local soft drinks. The donuts alone are worth a visit!

So myself and my wife came away from our birthdays and as my wife is vegan she researed somewhere to eat. The Cornish Vegan jumped out in front of her so not to be disappointed she emailed ahead to guarantee a place, Wow she did good. The food was second to none and the staff were very knowledgeable and made us feel welcomed, when we asked a few questions the chef came out and even should us some of the foods and brands he uses. Food was fantastic - we got the reuben and the fish n chips (all vegan!!). But more importantly, owners (Rob and another man - I didn't get his name) were keen to check in with everyone who came to the restaurant to see if they were enjoying the food. Beyond that, we really resonated with their ethos as they just wanted to get more people to try plant based food. They were so happy to chat with us about their journeys too - whatever they're doing, they're on the right track. The next big vegan thing! Definitely recommend you hit them up for a night of good food, drink and vibes :)

We searched for this place I'm advance as it had both vegan and gluten free options. We didn't expect such a warm welcome from the owner we felt like we were at home. All the staff were so kind and helped us with our twins throughout. We would have eaten here every day of we could. Best fish and chips and the Ruben. All better than anything I've had in a very very long time. They even gave my husband a birthday card. Just the loveliest place.

Went to Cornwall for a break and found this gem. My friend and I went there twice because everything was amazing! Staff super friendly and helpful. Food? Incredible, we tasted almost all menu. Will definetly come back when we are around!

My wife treated me to lunch on Saturday after a particularly challenging week. I was excited to try the Cornish Vegan as I've walked past it for the last 20 years and never once been inside, but recent reviews had piqued my interest. We ordered the poutine to share, 2 Rueben sandwiches and couple of excellent Bloody Marys. The service was great. Attentive and with attention to detail, clearly interested in ensuring the experience was to the customer's tastes. Of course that should be standard but it's less common than you think. The drinks were perfect, seasoned well, and with the option for more heat and salt if desired. And then the food arrived... Oh. Yes. The Poutine (a dish I haven't had in 25 years) was fantastic. It was really tasty, moreish, and filling but with a sprinkling of spring onion and fresh chilli that kept the palate fresh with every bite. (Poutine, while delicious, can become a bit of a slog to finish...happy to report that none of that fatigue set in here) The Rueben sandwiches were show-stopping. A really well conceived array of flavours that bring to mind the classic, meat Rueben but build off that familiarity to create a taste sensation all of it's own. Very, very highly recommended. The restaurant filled up pretty quickly as soon as the doors opened and the atmosphere was warm and lively. To top off a wonderful lunch, the in-house loyalty scheme means we now have yet another reason to return. Top marks!

What a treat to have a fully vegan restaurant in Truro! Really tasty food and the friendliest staff. I had the pasta and it was so deliciously creamy, my mum couldn't believe how flavourful the fish and chips was. Will definitely visit again and I will be recommending to friends.

I thoroughly enjoyed my non fish and chips super yummy ❤️ my husband the non vegan had cheezy garlic bread and he loved it. The portions are very generous and the owner and the waitresses were just so nice, chatty and helpful. It is just fabulous to not only be able to enjoy vegan but to go into a restaurant and be so welcomed. We will visit again to try the rest of the menu ❤️

Popped in for lunch on a Saturday, and the staff were very welcoming and accommodating, and the atmosphere was calm and quiet. We were served by Graham, who was very helpful. The food was delicious, the portions very generous, and good for the price. Would highly recommend!

Love this place! I have been here numerous times over the past few years, and it didn’t disappoint. We arrived just after the lunch rush at about 4, and the lunch gluten free options were sold out, but I was grateful to have the Thai red curry. And it was the absolute best Thai curry that me and my partner have had! The service is also great, and the staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and attentive. It was very quiet when we were there, but the atmosphere was still very comfortable, we didn’t feel awkward. The coffee is great here too!

Best vegan fish and chips. Fantastic for families. Great selection of locally sourced soft drinks. Plenty of food choices on the menu. Will definitely return to the Cornish Vegan when we visit Cornwall.

In short: Amazing vegan food at fair prices with fantastic staff! Detailed review: The food was insanely good, the best vegan food we’ve had in a restaurant. My partner had mac & cheese and I had carbonara, super creamy sauces with lots of flavour which paired lovely with the local Cornish cider! The staff were so friendly and chatty, going above and beyond expectations to make us feel welcomed. My only regret is we didn’t get more! Can’t wait to come again :)

All the food was amazingly next level! Legitimately the best meal I have ever eaten! Not been a vegan that long but it's honestly better then any other type of non-Vegan food I have ever eaten too and all the foods seem really nice and classic and comfort food based so if as a vegan you miss some of your favourite non-Vegan comfort or classic foods this will be the place for you! The Atmosphere and Decor is very relaxed and calming so if you feel nervous going out to eat it could be a nice place to go out and eat too. Went out with the rest of my family there (all of which eat Meat) two of them were set on Meat and felt like they would not like the food prior to being there given it's all vegan but they both admitted it was amazing and I believe it changed their view on what they feel like Vegan food can be which is amazing! The Waitress, Manager and Chef all came to talk to us and we're incredibly friendly to us all which was very nice and made the Atmosphere even more of a comfortable place to be in and the manager and waitress asked us if everything was ok multiple times during our time there and seemed to genuinely care about us having a great time and went out of their way above and beyond! All in all was an amazing experience cannot recommend it enough! 5 Stars all the way! (Also get the "Mac 'N' Sheese" btw you will not regret it haha also they do a Mini Mac if you'd prefer to just try it out!)

Great meal, the fish and chips enjoyed by myself and my brother who was sceptical as he hates anything to do with fish but he still loved it! Staff also couldn’t have been lovelier!

My daughter and I found this place completely by accident on a trip to Truro. What a find! The food is superb, the staff and owners are friendly and welcoming and our last two trips to Truro have been thinly veiled excuses to revisit. I cannot recommend them highly enough. My daughter day dreams about their Poutine 🥰

An excellent menu of delicious vegan food. This restaurant is very unassuming from the outside and it's easy not to notice it; but it's well worth stepping inside to sample what's on offer!

Absolutely recommend it you're vegan. We went for my partners birthday and booked in advance. On arrival she was presented with a birthday card (so thoughtful, was a small but lovely gesture!) Service was impeccable, the waiter went above and beyond and the chef even popped out to personally apologise when they didn't have the normal buns (delicious anyhow!) I could go on and on. Unfortunately we wasn’t able to dine in as our son was under the weather and thankfully we was allowed to have a take out. The burgers were out of this world, absolutely delicious! Red Thai curry was on point. Thank you once again for allowing us to have a take away on our hols

Delicious vegan food in a delightful little restaurant complete with peaceful rear garden. The vegan fish and chips were very close to the real thing (see pic) and all members of my party enjoyed the various dishes, including the onion rings and vegan poutine. Service was impeccable.

Wow! Went for my birthday and the owners Graham & Rob gave me a card, which was a lovely gesture. The courtyard at the back has been done up nicely with heaters for those cold evenings. I cannot speak highly enough of the food. As a family of non-vegans, if you want an introduction to vegan food then this is the place for you. PLEASE utilise a commodity like this as independent eateries within our local communities are what make Cornwall such a wonderful place to live. Don't let it turn into so many other stand alone establishments that are only ever talked about when they've closed down. Put money back into local independent businesses and you won't be disappointed. The effort this small business owner put into helping us feel welcome, explaining any questions we had about the food and taking the time to talk with us really stood out, and looking forward to visiting again in the near future.

We are on holiday from Liverpool & this is our second visit to the Cornish Vegan. Never disappoints. Absolutely delicious food. Lovely friendly staff who are passionate about the food and ethos behind it. Will definitely be returning and would highly recommend to vegans and none vegans alike.

Fish* and Chips that changed my life forever. Being Gluten free and Dairy free has greatly hindered my diet and so lovely to be so well looked after and eat such a delicious meal. Popped in on a Sunday for a lunch and it is a delight to have so many choices on the menu! Salad was fresh, tagliatelle carbonara was so full of flavour, Reuben burger was delicious. My 2 year old loved the food too and staff were so calm and friendly even when they were not fully staffed, we didn't have to wait but if we did it would be worth it.

WOW!!! If you haven’t been, WHY!? I have eaten at a lot of vegan restaurants but this place tops it all. These guys are wizards, the food is simply stunning, so fresh and the flavours are mind blowing. Shall come time and time again!!

Came for the Sunday Roast, it was absolutely incredible! Food was top notch, couldn't have asked for any better. Graham is a gem, as well as all the staff. Incredibly friendly and helpful, going out of their way to accommodate you. I whole heartedly recommend a visit, you won't be disappointed :)
