What a wonderful find Harvest Vegetarian Restaurant was! To start with they have a delightfully fun vegetarian/vegan menu. All the dishes were delicious and elegantly presented, the atmosphere was relaxed and homely and Adam and his staff were friendly and engaged. Not to mention the prices were wonderfully affordable for this calibre of cuisine. We'll definitely be coming back!

This place has been around a long time and since both my wife and I have loads of vegetarian food, decided to check it out. Loved every bit of what’s on offer here. You can have a two or three course set menu or a la Carte. Unpretentious, reasonably priced and excellent flavors. I had the vegetable curry as main and sticky toffee pudding for dessert. The pudding is probably the best I have had in Sydeny ever, gingery, moist and spongy, just divine. My veg curry was also delicious, hearty and a bit spicy. Great service and good value for money. Absolutely will come here again for a lovely meal with friends. Located on a quiet street in Balmain it is a must try.

A vegetarian’s dream! We found this great place from research and was not disappointed! All courses were fantastic from entrees to dessert. Highlight for me was the house made tortellini !

Read the reviews and was not disappointed. My husband is not a vegetarian and was concerned he might not be up for a 'vegies' only meal but by the end of the night was singing their praises and suggesting we come back again. The pancakes with mushrooms are superb and the sticky date pudding is to die for. I realise others have talked about the place needing a bit of a face lift but I feel like that is also what adds to its down to earth, family inclusive charm. The only thing I would suggest is asking for a seat away from the door as it can get a bit breezey on chilly winter nights.

Hand down, the BEST Vegetarian Rest. in Sydney. If there were more stars to give I would. There was nothing I could fault with this restaurant. I have been vegetarian for 35 years and vegan for about 7, I took a 100% meat eater who raved about the food for hours after. Michael our waiter went above and beyond, capping off an amazing night. Excellent prices, two courses (two course minimum) only $40. WOW, I will be returning here often. Regards, LJ

This is my favourite date night/celebration spot in Sydney. The restaurant has fantastic service and top quality food but is BYO yes BYO. Bring a nice bottle of wine and enjoy a three course vego meal for under $100 for two

One of my favourite restaurants in Sydney - and I’m not a vegetarian. You’ll have to go a long way to find a better curry (meat or veg) than Harvest’s veg curry. Could be a lot to do with the marvellous ambience - not just in the dining room but also emanating from the kitchen. Their cooking is clearly a labour of love.

Fantastic vegetarian food. Nobody in our family is vego but we came here for something different and they deliverer beyond all expectations. It's mid to high expense wise just fyi but the flavours they have are amazing. Have hoghky. Recommend this restaurant to my vego friends. Even if you're not it's worth a try to see what's possible when talented people are in the kitchen =)

What a great spot. The Goats cheese soufflé was perfect. The freshly made pasta was packed with flavour and generous servings. If you are a vegetarian looking for a place to take your carnivore friends, this is the place to take them. Bookings recommended.

Brilliant place for anyone looking for a cosy time away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It’s a really compact restaurant that really encourages meaningful conversations and an intimate dining affair. Great start for those looking to transition into vegetarianism and appreciate simple but delicious food.

Wonderful service super friendly. A small but Devine restaurant. I had the mushroom ravioli and I was literally licking the plate, for my main I had the curry and for desert was sticky dare pudding. All were amazing, I was very full by the end. A pleasant evening and such lovely atmosphere .

I asked my family to take me here for my birthday. I love vegetarian (ovo-lacto) food and sometimes vegan. My daughter is a dairy queen and my partner and son are true omnivores. We ALL loved dinner here, there was something for everyone. The meat eaters didn't miss meat at all and my daughter was in heaven. Everything was delicious but the highlights for our first visit were the entree of mushroom ravioli which was so flavoursome and rich and the perfect goat's cheese souffles. The service was first class. We will be coming back very soon even though we don't live close by because we're all craving it again.

Food, service, ambience - everything was an absolute 10/10. The portion sizes were great, the food was delicious and the service was top notch. Probably the best dinner I've had in a very long time, highly highly highly recommend. Will be returning!

I just want to SLAP myself I haven’t come to this restaurant sooner. OH MY LORDDD this food is divine. DIVINE. Shared the cheese soufflé, satay tofu, zucchini boat and sticky date and they were all cooked to absolute perfection. Tasty, filling, and fresh out of the kitchen. Do yourself a favour and eat here!!

We have been regulars here for over 10 years so that should speak for itself! Food is delicious and the staff are the best. There is a reason they have been there for so long! Cauliflower castle and Aubergine tower are stand outs, and leave room for the sticky date, you won’t be disappointed.

We have been coming here for what must be 20 years. We're not vegetarian but without fail always enjoy our meals here. There is plenty of choice, including a few specials and we have now tried most dishes on the menu. It's hard to pick favourites but always love the cheese soufflé, the mushroom ravioli, the zucchini flowers and brussel sprouts when in season, the curry and the cauliflower castle. The sticky date pudding in the cooler months is delicious ('though I've been known to enjoy it any time of year!). Service from Michael in the front is always great. It can get a bit noisy when full - particularly if there is a few bigger groups. Three courses goes down very well here and they are licensed but accept BYO wine. Well priced and a lovely dining experience for vegetarians and carnivores alike!

Not a vegetarian, but want to bring mum to somewhere different than the usuals. Food is good with many choices, but definitely recommend the curry or the skewers! The staff is super friendly and if you have a chance visiting the toilets (at the back). You probably can meet the dog in the picture which is hanged inside the restaurant

We organised a private cooking class with Adam (6 pax) and WOW! It was so wonderful. The food was fantastic, the tuition on cooking was amazing but Adam was also really amazing to hang out with for 4 hours. We all learnt lots and got to eat some really yum food!!

Celebrated our 27th Wedding anniversary with you last night. I loved the collection of vegan food options. It's great to see your attention to food & it was so tasty. Finally restaurant that's adds salt & pepper at the table. Highly recommend the vegan apple crumble. Great service too. Many thanks. We will be back

This place is really amazing, lots of mouth watering vegan options to choose from and the food was fantastic. I love the atmosphere and vibe, very friendly and peaceful. Can't wait to go back and try other foods in the menu. Oh my God the vegan tart was so yum... a background music and some candles on tables will make it perfect.

Absolutely amazing!! 😍 My partner and I were just here for valentines day, we had the zucchini flowers, brussel sprouts, aubergine tower, pumpkin and dill tortellini, creme caramel and apple crumble. I can honestly say that you can really taste the heart and care they put into all of their food. The tortellini in particular was the star of the night for us, so much so we grabbed the salad spoon and scooped up all of the remaining sauce 🤣 it was too delicious to waste even a single drop! Thank you for an amazing night Harvest Veg, we can't wait to come back! 🥰🙌🏻🫶🏻

It's my favourite vegetarian restaurant in Sydney. Being a vegetarian I can get a few options in most restaurants but here I can choose anything and I know that it's going to be vegetarian. They also have non-egg and Vegan products as well. The menu is seldom changed but all the dishes are tasty and there are a lot of them to choose from. They are all healthy and tasty. The starters are all lovely. The Tapas plate to share for 4-5 people is worth $45 and is lovely. Comes with four different kinds of dips. The hosts are very helpful and attentive. They have been there for 26 years. Which is amazing period of time for most restaurants.

This is my all-time favorite restaurant. It is warm and friendly, not too big and a little bit quirky. Judging by the number of people eating here, they can't all be vegetarians, so you know the food is good. The food is why you go to any restaurant and at Harvest it is always fabulous. Between my wife and I, we have tried almost everything on the menu and have not found a single item we did not love. The menu has remained pretty much the same for some time now but in this case it is not a bad thing as it has allowed us to try the lot. I sincerely hope they remain here for a long time to come. Ps their cooking classes are fabulous and a whole lot of fun.

Innovative vegetarian food in an old shop, lovingly restored. Great tasting entrees, mains, and desserts. Parking could be hard, luck of the draw.

Vegetarian food has progressed a lot in the last 10 years but I feel this menu or selection of meals hasn’t. This place was amazing when there wasn’t any other choice but they need to update their menu. The decor also needs refreshing and perhaps a theme. It’s definitely not awful but I won’t rush back until some things change.

This place is a little gem. Absolutely lovely service, staff and chef seem to really care and the food was amazing. I liked that we were asked whether we are ready for the next course, once we finished one. Timing for food was great. The menu is reduced due to Covid but there are still plenty of options and also specials. We had three courses and my sticky date pudding with ice cream was THE BEST! It was my first visit, but my partner had been here a few times before. I need to return to try all the other dishes! Food is vegetarian and vegan. The restaurant is not on a main road, so it is nice and quiet. I loved the lighting in the restaurant, because it wasn't super bright but also not too dark. Just perfect for a date night.

I took my partner here last night as it was her birthday and she is vegetarian and I am not. She loved it and I was amazed at what you can do with just vegetables. If they can impress a meat lover then a vegetarian should be blown away by this place as my partner was. The servings are also generous as I had to not finish my main so I could pack in the dessert I wanted. Which was amazing as well. The ambiance of the place is wonderful and the service warm and welcoming. If I didn’t live 73 kilometres away I would dine here on a regular basis.
