This restaurant is another one of the really amazing places to eat in Downtown Palm Springs. We love the ambiance, the great menu, (including a price fix menu), and the romantic and lovely outdoor patio seating. They have a large bar area, and plenty of indoor seating, if that’s what you prefer. Our server was excellent, and took good care of us. Their signature 849 cocktail is something that should not be missed! Our meals were well prepared, well presented and flavorful. We were not disappointed! We will definitely be returning here again for lunch or drinks sometime soon.

Eight4Nine is a very beautiful restaurant. I could live there! The colors, design…amazing. The staff is friendly enough. The patrons are more adult, so keep the kids at home. There is plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. I would think that you could get in without a reservation. There is also bar seating. Moving on to the food. I ordered Benedict and it was good. However, as you can see from the photos the English muffin was grossly burned. As we all know burnt toast doesn’t taste so good on the palate. I was surprised that they actually served it. The better plan would had been to not serve burned charred bread. I have dined at Eight4Nine on several occasions and the food each and every time is mediocre. However, you go to Eight4Nine to impress your guests with atmosphere. Drinks are very good and there are a few drinks on the menu which are amazing. I do like this establishment and again, it’s so very well designed and visually pleasing. There seems to always be plenty of parking and again, staff is there to work and not be your best friend. I continue to enjoy Eight4Nine at my friends plans, but I cannot say that I would enjoy Eight4Nine at my own decision. You should give it a try at the very least.

We used Eight4Nine to cater our wedding at the Palm Springs Art Museum and they did an AMAZING job. They helped set up a gorgeous table setting, staffed expert bartenders, friendly wait staff, and prepared food that guests absolutely loved. Willie was a pleasure to work with throughout the planning process, and we would highly recommend Eight4Nine for any events (and the restaurant!).

This restaurant is the quintessential Palm Springs experience. Beautiful restaurant with fantastic food. I had the salmon hash while my friend had the poke. There are so many more items I want to try.

I came in with big expectations and to be honest the wind in my sails was a bit let out. Admittedly, the restaurant was very busy on a pride weekend brunch which could have impacted regular service. The establishment looks great, however, the service was a touch slow. The meal was alright but the standout hero who stole the show was the soup.

A great meal with friends. Cool space, fun design, delicious meals and creative options. Service was OK… seen better and worse in Palm Springs.

OK, so struggled even giving this a 3. The ambiance and decor is upscale (which helped with the stars) - everything is white, pinks and purple. They provide a purse stand which is super cute. Wait staff is horrible. I'm glad I don't remember his name or I'd be compelled to include it here. Drink and food order got taken pretty quickly. Drinks took forever so they arrived when the food did. We didnt even finish them. They were just ok. The salmon nicoise left a lot to be desired. First, the lettuce should have been cut. Huge pieces of lettuce were hard to manage when they could have cut it in the kitchen. The lettuce was drenched in dressing. They could cut back to a few tablespoons rather than the cup they seemed to have marinated the lettuce in. The salmon was literally tossed on top. The rest of the plate was as to be expected. Lastly, my empty plate sat in front of me for a good 15 mins with several waiters looking dead at me. I wish they'd have been more attentive. The Limon pappardella was ok. I'm not sure we'd eat here again.

Super cute restaurant , and it reminds me of a little bit of an art gallery paired with an upscale furniture store. The service is good , the food is absolutely delicious. We ordered the refill Mimosa and haven't seen a waiter at our table the entire time we were eating. The lady came and wanted to refill as we asked for a box to go... Besides the service lacking , it's a great place to meet friends , have a good conversation, and eat delicious food.

Very nicely decorated restaurant with excellent service. The food was good but nothing out of the ordinary for that caliber of restaurant. Therefore the 4 out of 5 stars. Didn't particularly knock my socks off. However, it was still a very solid choice for Palm Springs. Good wine list and key lime pie dessert as well.

A really cool dining experience! The atmosphere throughout the restaurant is great and the decor is super fascinating. We got a table outside on their spacious patio. The service was something to be desired although in all fairness, our server did have a few big tables so they did seem to take up a bunch of their time. Their menu had a bunch of great items and we both ended up ordering the three course meal, which includes a starter, a main entree and a dessert. I went with the watermelon gazpacho, beef tenderloin, and the Coachella lime pie. Everything has great flavor and the tenderloin was cooked perfectly. We really enjoyed our dinner here, just wish the service was a little more attentive. We’ll certainly be back again!

Great experience! Meticulous Covid protocol at this establishment. I had planned on going to Tropicale but saw a few negative comments around packing tables in and not requiring mask..so glad I switched to Eight4Nine. Great atmosphere, lots of heaters outside, fabulous service from the attractive silver haired woman who sat me and made recommendations to our server and the bus people. Food was excellent. I had the Cobb salad and my dining companion had the fried chicken. He loved it and he is not easy to please with fried chicken. Updated review: Food was not as good and drinks definitely different. Had to drop a star.

Carne Asada Flat Bread?! Omggg delicious. "Grass fed beef skirt steak, cilantro pesto, chihuahua and cotija cheese, piquillo peppers, chili oil, hickory BBQ sauce."

With such an intimate setting, this was a great restaurant to brunch! While I ordered the fried chicken sandwich amd it was more than NORMAL! The Calabrian honey made the sandwich pop! It was great. Everyone's food looked so delicious 😋 Great place! #BSB

We came here for brunch and loved it, but the extra bonus was how great the owner was. The food was a little slow, but not at all horrible (about 30-40 minutes). We were having drinks and nice conversation. No real issues. The owner comes out and says he's going to comp all the food. We didn't know what to say, except for thank you. Beyond nice. Atmosphere is wonderful. Inside and outside seating. The brunch food was quite good. Right around $20 per entree. Obviously will be back.

I hand out 5 stars for good food and service and the may not be true five star. I rate each based on its style and what you would expect for that style. I will rate a taco stand as a 5 star if it’s great. Well this situation is way different. This is 5 🌟 all around. Vibe, service and food are out of this world. We were in Palm Springs for the weekend. We did what a prudent person should do and we started reading local reviews near our resort. This place was reviewed highly. A couple critics but I think they are just rare isolated incidents. We made reservations online simply. Upon arrival we were greeted and given the choice of inside or out. Both very well appointed. I read one review that said it almost looked like a antique furniture store and it does. Crazy thing is the location was a antique furniture store before it was a restaurant. Ok. We presented a Tempernillo wine that was great. Octopus and oysters for appetizers. Again I say over the top. The oysters were the best we have ever had. Time for the entree. We ordered the Chilean seabass and the fillet. Seabass was suculand tender and flake full of flavor. The fillet was medium rare and sliced like butter. It just melted in your mouth. This place is a favorite for us for ever. We will be back as soon as we can. Don’t hesitate. We did go on a Sunday night so it was a little slower other than to wedding parties. Reservation are always suggested and I’m sure they are much busier on Friday and Saturday but they are so good I think they could fill up any day.

3hr street parking right in front of the restaurant, perfect atmosphere for any occasion, large restaurant with lots of indoor and outdoor tables. Portions are not too big, just about right and no need togo anything. Upscale setting at reasonable prices our family voted this the best restaurant in Palm Springs 🌴

Our party of 5 absolutely enjoyed our experience recently. The entire staff was extraordinary all evening, the food was amazing and the ambiance was fabulous. My birthday celebration exceeded my expectations and we will certainly return when we visit Palm Springs.

Bright and spacious interior feels authentic Palm Springs. Service was top notch throughout. Generous portions with great flavor. Fresh squeezed OJ was incredible. Chairs and tables were comfortable. It’s definitely worth a visit regardless of your status as a tourist or local.

Probably the only decent restaurant in Palm Springs. Get the 3 course combo for dinner for your best deals.

Lovely experience. Food and wine were delicious and the service was spot on. We weren’t in one of the private side rooms, but each are beautiful and unique. We would visit this place again.

The patio has a Fantastic ambience with fireplace all long the wall and an old movie (no audio) projected onto the side of the building. It was very cool! Food was delicious and cooked perfectly. Staff was courteous and professional. Highly recommend them.

We love this place... The service is excellent and the food is consistently good. Tried the shrimp sandwich for the first time today. Unique presentation and delicious. Grandson chose the carne asada and was over the moon with its flavor and tenderness. Beautiful ambiance, and a wonderful place to bring your house guests to!

Picked here for lunch; my first time to PS. We sat outside as it was a beautiful sunny day. Everything was off the hook. Restaurant and restrooms were clean. Service was friendly and well paced. Drinks were amazing and food left me feeling good but not over-full. I will definitely go here again next time I’m the area.

The clam chowder was delicious. The Mexican steak with piquillo pepper was ruined by the piquillo pepper as it was sweet, way too sweet. The meat was tender, the corn was delicious and the beans were good. The desert was extremely sweet and I couldn’t eat it. If you get the Mexican dish ask them to remove the piquillo sauce, it completely killed the dish. A Chile toreado on the side would have been nice or a salsa. Everything else was great.

Wonderful first time experience at this fine establishment. We celebrated 🍾 a good friends birthday and enjoyed the off the wall vibe here. Peeking into all the differently decorated rooms was a hoot.

We randomly popped in here for an early dinner on a Sunday. Seating at the bar was pretty full, but the rest of the place was pretty empty. They change their menu seasonally, so some of the things we saw online were no longer available. We started out with chips and guacamole. The chips were a bit stale, so our waiter let us pick something else. We got the crudo, but the shrimp chips were extra stale. He said the kitchen fried them that morning. This is something that should be fried to order. The crudo tasted great though. The entrees were all quite generous portions and delicious. We didn’t have room for dessert, but the table next to us had sorbet which looked quite appetizing. I don’t remember our server’s name, but he provided great service and was very attentive.

Delicious!!! The outside seating weather has returned! The sea bass is buttery and delicious. We had some cocktails (mules and the signature 849 cocktail...not too strong. Just right). It was very busy, so don't expect your courses to come out in at rapid fire speed... HOWEVER, all good things come to those to wait at 849.

Enjoyed a yummy meal here with friends this weekend. The food was tasty and presented nicely and the staff overall were friendly. Keep in mind if all members of your party can't provide proof of covid vaccination you will have to sit outside in the 110° weather which was definitely less than ideal.

The mushroom omelette was a little light on mushrooms. That was the only real complaint. Every other dish was very good. The service was excellent. The indoor seat by the window was the next best thing to an outdoor option. The hostess was very nice in the middle of a very hectic brunch.

Second time we ate here and it is soooooo good! Really fun place with really really good service. The cauliflower steak is freaking AMAZING! The watermelon gazpacho!!! The filet is really good too! The melon salad!!! The skinny watermelon margarita! All of this is so so so good! Definitely will be a regular all the way from LA.

Beautiful venue with art sprinkled generously throughout the restaurant. The vibe was classy and uptempo. Plenty of private rooms and a huge outdoor patio space as well. Cocktails and dinner menu evoked hunger and curiosity... providing a little something for everyone!

Absolutely amazing experience. Great selection on the menu, delicious drinks, the food was outstanding, and the staff was incredible. From the host, to the server and the busser, everyone was so friendly and they went above and beyond to give my friends and I a great lunch. We celebrated a birthday as well and the sparkler was so fun!! Will definitely be back. * Edit: well, my friends and I went back for brunch. It was all INCREDIBLE again!!!
