Amazing, delicious creative and affordable food. I wish I knew about this gem before. We went to this restaurant for brunch and I had the sourdough waffle with duck eggs and Home cured salmon and my partner had shakshuka with home made sausage. They were delicious. The waffle was crunchy on the outside and soft and slightly chewy and sweet with a delicious buttery taste. The eggs were poached to perfection and the home cured salmon had a delicate flavour that didnt clash with the sweet waffle. It was garnished with creme fraiche and this made the dish just perfect. For dessert we both had the sesame ice cream with chocolate ganache and chocolate crumble with a thin made of sesame seed and it’s easiest some of the best desserts I ever had. Even though I live far I’d happily return many times so I can try each one of their dishes.

I would go here weekly if it wasn't so far away from me. A small restaurant near the Peckham overground serving South African cuisine. The sommelier helped guide us through South African wines to pair with our dinner, and he did a great job. Food wise, each dish had a different texture and taste to amuse my tastebuds. We started with their signature bread with two types of butter. I highly recommend getting both butters to try the more meaty savory taste and the fishy taste. The churros were my favorite. I loved how small and crunchy they were along with the little yellow sauce on the side. The tartare and the chicken hearts were nice, but didn't stand a chance against the onglet steak. The steak was cooked perfectly and paired so well with the mushrooms and veggies. For two people, this was the perfect amount of food. We had no room for dessert.

First visit to Kudu and so lucky to get a table on a Friday Night. Restaurant was buzzing with activity and nice dark mood lighting. Sat at the bar and watched the chef’s meticulously create fabulous food for their diners. Will definitely be back. Great flavours and fantastic looking food.

I'd heard great things about this place and wasn't disappointed. We were extremely lucky to get a walk in on a Sunday evening at 18.30. Every dish was just delicious and different. Wine was great and service excellent. Will be back and visiting their sister restaurant Kudu Grill too.

We have been dying to wine and dine at Kudu, it didn’t disappoint! It’s a lovely atmosphere, feels like a real treat and the food is at another level. I would definitely recommend putting this restaurant on your list.

Great place. The lady who was running front of house was a great host. Food brilliant, Absolutely brilliant. A little bit too much grilled cabbage / lettuce,.But this is very minor, really sensational. Would love to have the recipes. I am attaching photos but they are of poor quality and do not reflect the quality of cooking.

Kudu Restaurant 🇿🇦 I can’t express what a truly incredible restaurant @kudurestaurant is, I’ve been wanting to try this local restaurant ever since I found out about and even more so than a little happiness of home away from home. I’m not sure my pictures do it justice but omgoodness the food is really delicious (I wanted to lick ever pan we had, but thought I’d best control myself lol). Tucked away in Peckham, South African inspired cocktails and food is genius and makes me miss home a little more … The flavours of every dish were just insanely delicious… And their menu is so good, I don’t think you’d go wrong with anything you choose. We had the Kudu bread with Bacon and Seafood butter! OMG! Then we had the Mussels Potjie and Crab again incredible (next time I must remember to keep a little of my bread for the sauce from the Mussels Potjie) honestly I could just eat these all over again. Let’s talk Steak … if anyone knows me I’m a Steak girl through and through and boy they didn’t disappoint, it was cooked to absolute perfection and it certainly was the Picasso of Food! … the truffle mousse with mushroom sprinkling, so so sooooo GOOD! My mouth is still watering thinking about it Don’t even get me started on the puddings!!! We had a cheeky night cap at @smokeykudu but they were closing so only managed to enjoy one cocktail but I can only imagine that given a Friday or Saturday night that it would be a fantastic venue to enjoy a few cocktails 🍹 Can’t wait for @kudugrill to open, definitely will be visiting in July when it opens 🔥🔥🔥 Don’t take my word for it, get booking now and enjoy 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 @poppinstravel

Absolutely delightful food and experience. I've come back to this restaurant multiple times and I can totally myself come back. For brunch... The kumquats french toast was delicious! And so were the waffles with duck eggs. For dinner.... The bread with butter is fantastic, the chicken parfait buns are oozing with flavor and the Parmesan churros are so good they never feel enough.

The service here was really amazing. Came for lunch and although we were booked for counter seats when a garden seat was available the waitress kindly moved us. The Onglet was really delicious. It was tender and moist and really by itself without condiments was good. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the hispi cabbage and truffled potato mouse. I think the texture wasn’t to my liking and I only ended up have a small bit of it. My friend on the other hand loved it and ate mine as well. The French toast babka was also really good, and although it was cold when we got around to eating it as we ordered it at the same time as the mains it was nevertheless really good. I would definitely return and try more items on the menu.

After a lot of online hype, I was really looking forward to trying Kudu and booked it for my birthday. The interior is lovely, with a cute outside patio in the back. Absolutely wonderful service, all the staff were welcoming, kind and attentive. The kudu bread with butter was really unique and delicious - very light and fluffy bread with great flavour. The scallops were delicious and fresh too, very well balanced. However, we treated ourselves to the expensive beef dish and I was quite disappointed. It just didn’t have much flavour at all? and the truffle foam was a textural nightmare. The cabbage was too hard and the mustard too strong. Everything other than that dish was delightful, but a shame as it was almost £60 just for that dish! I would come again for everything but the steak.

The food here is excellent! We were sat at the counter and you really get to see the masters at work. The oglet is epic alongside the truffle potato mousse and cabbage. The scallops and duck hearts are also full of flavour. The burrata is the only dish I would not order again. I will definitely go again!

Farewell dinner in London. Shared one of each snack starters and mains. Wonderful food, intimate setting (slightly cramped) and great staff. Would recommend in a heartbeat. Brown shrimp butter and bread is *phenomenal*

Amazing food, lovely atmosphere and very attentive and friendly staff! It's not cheap, but each dish was well worth it. I was blown away by just how good their bread was!! The cocktails were great too! Thanks to Bridget for being an amazing server :)

We set off for the lunch time special at Kudu, Especially surprised by its magic bacon butter - that’s some vodoo. Parmesan churros and mayo; A bit oily so the least favourite course, I have to say so. The hispi, enoki, and steak; Thinking wow, there’s no batter cabbage one can make. Dessert a chocolate ganache and crumble; Perfection you would have heard me between mouthfuls mumble, At the price of £21.50, this is affordable even for the thrifty. So do yourself a favour and make a booking, Or at least see the photos if you’re here to do some looking

This is a hip place that is well-suited for dates and drinks. The portions are on the small side. However, they are beautifully styled and have great taste. The service is friendly, and the atmosphere is memorable. If anything, I would have a more extensive dessert selection. There is only a pavlova and a chocolate ganache on the menu.

Just amazing!! We had Saturday brunch here and loved everything about it. Great service, delicious food, nice cocktails and priced well. Highly recommend Kudu and can’t wait to return! Also - they have gluten free bread available and lots of other GF options

Great food, lovely service. Don't think cocktails are their forte, and wine that we had was rather boring but we only tried on bottle so maybe just unlucky. Overall great food, vibe and service.

Absolutely love this place and possibly the best meal I've had in London. The food was so unique and beautifully presented, and the staff were attentive. A must try is their Kudu bread which melts in your mouth. I've been to a few Michelin starred restaurants and the food was definitely up there.

Made a last minute booking with Kudu for brunch, seamless booking. We were seated promptly and wait staff were incredibly friendly. We ordered the shakshuka, boerwors and chakalaka and the sourdough waffles with treacle salmon. Food was incredible, fluffy waffles, generous serving of salmon and crème fraiche, well balanced shakshuka with a twist (burnt end kale and Parmesan)… It was interesting (still undecided on the combo) however we both thoroughly enjoyed it. The superstar of the show was boerwors and chakalaka and chimichurri. Flavours were insane, sausage well cooked and overall just really enjoyable. Service was top notch, we had a slight issue with the eggs on some of the dishes (my partner cannot stand a runny egg, I love them lol) so when the dishes originally came (pictured) we had to send some back as the eggs were too runny for his taste… Wait staff were super apologetic and accommodating and even served us biltong as we waited for the dishes to be prepared again (biltong was lovely btw) Overall I had a great time, as a Southern African I loved that the dishes tasted homely yet elevated. Thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend!

The long awaited and legendary Kudu, it was super busy and great to see a local restaurant thriving as much as this, the staff were lovely and showed us to our table and explained how the menu worked and the favourites which was great, we stuck mostly to this. We had the bread to begin which is very good to say the least, and then the Parmesan churros which were good. We were advised to have the donut type things which we will have to try next time, the pigs head was incredible. As for the main, the onglet, we both felt that the mash type side was not the greatest and the truffle was a little over powering and that the steak was less than medium/rare, it was rare/blue which was a bit of a let down on the main but all in all it was a good meal, great staff and vibe too!

One of my favourite restaurants in London! Been here 3 times and the food is consistently outstanding. Highly recommend the bread with butter and the Onglet, both of which I get every time. This time we also tried the Biltong and the cured trout which were both delicious. Service was great and my cocktail (kudu pear) was delicious too.

The food was delicious, lovely vibe and friendly staff. My only feedback is that the pricing for the Onglet is confusing and just not obvious when you order. It should be pointed out (simply a friendly heads up) by the staff that this is the only dish on the entire menu that states the price per person or even better, just price it for what it is: £39. You do this for the bread and butter which is also recommended for two but not priced per person, just per dish like everything else on the menu. Restaurants like Coal Office or Caravan that do sharing plates all price per dish, including the larger plates. Yes there is a tiny 'each' after the price but it is very easily overlooked. Given we weren't the only ones questioning this when we got the bill (the table next to us were just as surprised) it's something worth looking into. I hope you take this on board in a positive way as everything else was great. Thanks, Julia.

The food was spectacular. Very cosy atmosphere. Good music. I am definitely going back to try the other dishes, as I would recommend every dish I ate. We also had incredible cocktails at Smokey Kudu before our dinner.
