We are regulars here. The food is consistently good. The service is always good. The only negative thing I have to say is things aren't as good after 7 pm unless the "boss" is there.

Very local, I enjoyed the banter between the cooks and waitstaff as much as the food. Got the chicken tender plate and the tenders were huge and battered perfectly and crisp not greasy. The fries, the same... crisp and no grease. The slaw was great also. A good meal.

I cannot rave enough about the food and our waitress Sharon! Such an amazing experience. We will be back to try more foods from their extensive and delicious menu!

The food here is amazing!!!!!! Own server was amazing they have a very good selection of all types of lunch, bunch and dinner options for all. Great place for family, friends and single to eat a enjoy your food. I had a wonderful time and I will be back for more.

This was my first time here and I loved the atmosphere! The food was delicious and I loved the staff! I ordered the shrimp and grits, the presentation was amazing, and this meal is very creative and it was sooo soo good! Highly recommend!

You have to order the chicken and waffles. They are seriously, so, so good. Recommended by a co-worker and hearing about it from a past TV show, I had to give this one a try. Of course, I ordered their chicken and waffles. This is the first time ever having that together and it was AMAZING. The strawberry cream butter (stuff) that is spread on the waffles is divine. The chicken was cooked perfectly and it all came together well with the unique blend of a hot sauce/syrup. I'd say give it a try because I loved it. The service was above and beyond amazing. They were always very kind, asked to make sure we had everything and helpful with the orders. I would recommend giving this place a try. My husband ordered the burger and enjoyed it (he likes it more raw than cooked), so he was happy. The fries were decent, though honestly it didn't compare to my meal.

We go at least once a month, and have been going for several years now. It's one of my favorite places for breakfast! All their food is good, but their breakfast is PHENOMENAL!!! Their portions are HUGE for everything, and they have lighter options if you don't want something huge. I tried the chicken salad croissant today & it was sooo good. 10/10

So good! Great breakfast spot. Skip the Waffle House, forget Dennys, just come straight here! It's quality food with that made from scratch taste! (It probably is). Great atmosphere too! It's feels like a Diner meets a Pub in the County Side. You'll see what I mean once you get there. It's worth trying!

very satisfied and will be returning due to the amazing waitress ms. mya & would love to see her again. she provided a great mix of entertainment and profession ! she made everything crystal clear and was very authentic. checked on us just enough , not too much or too little. great food and great drinks!

Great place, good food and prices. I usually go with the chicken and waffles but honestly everything that we have order is just great. This time we went with the scrambled eggs and potatoes bowl and it was delicious. Also the croissant french toast were really good. There might be wait time in the weekend specially for brunch.

Wait time wasn’t long, not a lot of seating. Waitress was great. Had the chicken and waffles, was cooked very well. My friend had the western omelet, no complaints; with mimosas.

Sat outside and enjoyed a beautiful afternoon brunch with my partner. The mimosa was delicious. I got the shrimp and grits and it was very good as well. My partner got the club and took the rest to go, I love their portions! Kind and sweet staff and very fast kitchen as well. Metro diner does it for me every time!

With a family member in the hospital, this Metro dinner was right across the street. So we stopped to get dinner. The waitress, Victoria, was extremely attentive without being overbearing. She answered every question and was able to meet our requests, a top-notch waitress. The food was awesome as you can see I had the Ruben the picture shows everything but how it tasted, which was perfect. 😋

Usually good food but I ordered to go and my food was completely burnt. I don’t understand how anyone in the kitchen would have even looked at the charred food and thought it was ok to put in a box. Also no condiments or napkins. Stuck at work with a $17 plate of inedible food.

Today , my husband and I went here to have breakfast I had the avacado toast w/ scramble eggs on the side and my husband had the fruity Belgium waffle w/sausage on the side, everything was delicious!

Love! Love! Love!! The food and service are spectacular! Hailey is such a wonderful person and a great server! She is very friendly and a ray of sunshine! She helped us order what we wanted and even got it the way we wanted it!

Everytime I come to Jacksonville, I make sure I visit Metro Diner. Absolutely looove this place! Food is ALWAYS great! Chicken and waffles is my fav! Never thought I would love that spicy syrup for the waffles but I can't eat them without it🥰 Wasn't crazy about the croissant french toast tho.(first time trying this dish)

We were a large party (11) but our waitress was great. She was attentive and thoughtful. Gave her over 25% because she worked hard. I had steak tips and they were chewey and bland. The rest of the food was good and the mushroom gravy was great but maybe a little marinade to season the meat. Dale's should pair well with that excellent gravy. Maybe cut the meat with grain to help with toughness. The fried chicken looked good and he said it was very good. Great service but food depends on what you order.

Haven't been here for some time. My wife and I stopped in, and as every time before, they are spot on with the food and service.

We tried this diner because we had a wonderful experience at a Metro diner in St. Augustine. This met our expectations! We had a delicious breakfast including eggs benedict and hash browns. Since I am not a pork eater, they were able to accommodate my Benedict with turkey sausage instead of Canadian bacon at the suggestion of the server. The coffee is great too (and we are kind of coffee snobs). Service was fantastic and so was the food! We will definitely eat here again when we are in the area. (Pardon the picture of the half eaten breakfast. I was hungry and forgot to take a picture in the beginning 😋)

Great diner! Came from Texas and some friends took us here and told us about their breakfast. Staff was great. Food came out fast and delicious. Apparently this place is known for their Fried Chicken & Waffles. 5 stars. Their corned beef hash was great but not salty enough, but you can always add more salt.

Me and the family absolutely love metro !! It’s always a great experience. We’ve been coming here for about a few years and to be honest after the pandemic a lot of places have changed but metro stayed just as amazing as before. We love everyone here but we do have a favorite, Jasmine is absolutely a doll. She’s always on point and she’s so sweet. She makes every time worth every penny. Orange park metro is hands down the best place for breakfast, lunch or even a sweet dessert!!

This was our 2nd visit to this location and the food we ordered wasn't up to par, the chicken wasn't good well. Management was very nice though at offering something else from the menu, or taking it off the bill. I chose the latter because at that point I was very disappointed.

When in Jacksonville, you eat at the Metro Diner! This was my first at this location and it was delicious. They were able to accommodate our large party and everyone enjoyed their meal. Also when at the Metro, you eat the Vortex Burger. #yummy

I started off with a Uber eats delivery the food was horrible. I called to the restaurant and spoke with the manager which was a very pleasant gentleman. He replaced my order and was so kind that after having to go out in the rain I was still completely satisfied. Thank you so much old school for ya great customer service!!!

I've only been here once so far. Got there around noon during the week and got a table right away outside. It was very cool and comfortable out there. The food was pretty good. The service was pretty good also. I would try this place again

Staff is great. Food is so good. I had the chicken salad sandwich and it was a tad dry but overall delish. The chicken noodle soup was on point and the Philly cheese steak was cheesy and definitely deserves to be ordered again. AC was broken and it did feel a bit warm but the food made up for it.

Outstanding food and outstanding service! The home fries were some of the best I’ve had. Shout out to my waiter Mike!
