Good food and portions. Highly recommend the king head salmon, oysters, crab cakes, and octopus. Main problem were the sides on mains: rice with the swordfish was over cooked and potato side with the pork was not great. Most main dishes can be shared between two people. Service is fast and organized. It is worth mentioning that prices on the menu now compared to a year ago are 20% higher.

A great spot for birthday celebrations because just like our party, there were about 5 other celebrants celebrating their birthday the same night we were there. Service was to notch! Our wait staff was attentive and friendly. Food was decent. They have a good array of seafood dishes, mostly fish. The mahi mahi was the standout! The halibut was on the dry side but the mashed corn was delectable. The truffle fries was one of the better ones I've had. They have a great selection of drinks. From wine to cocktails they got you covered! Price point was on the high end. May consider coming back only on special occasions.

Great meal and a wonderful experience. This was a business meeting with a client’s CEO CFO and our SVP. The experience was perfect with Gretchen as our server. We had the Sommelier help US with a wonderful pinto noir for our menu. All was delivered in perfect style and perfect portions for 5 people. 4 of which flown in for this meal.

Expensive but great for a celebration dinner. I'd return for sushi and drinks, their rosemary old fashioned was very good, and this is coming from someone who judges the rest of the bar and establiment by their old fashioned. The sushi was on point with well balanced texture, rice seasoning, ingredients. The grilled salmon was near perfect but slightly over my personal preference. However the grill marks imparted a most wonderful char and aroma likely from previously cooked beef fat, that I would love to enjoy again, and the garlic mash had great texture, flavor and, in a rare occurrence didn't need salt like so many other high end restaurants.

I was there with family to celebrate New Year’s Day (sorry so late on the review). Outstanding food and service (Jody was our gal) and the rest of the staff were so nice and attentive. Classy ambiance. California Roll and Ceviche for appetizers and the main entrees were jambalaya, grilled shrimp risotto, and a NW stock stew. We shared the crème brûlée and fruit penne cotta. Cocktails were deliciously drinky. Excellent, period.

Excellent seafood spot in Bellevue. Very fresh and tasty food, attentive service, and good wine. Will definitely be back. A bit on the pricier side, but that’s Bellevue.

This was an excellent, excellent meal. Everything was prepared and served elegantly. We ordered the tower, salmon belly, deviled eggs, halibut ceviche, poke, and fries to start off. The tower included wonderful scallops and crab cakes - these were must haves. I’d recommend ordering just these to share; they were that good. The halibut ceviche and poke were also quite excellent. The fish was fresh and well flavored. The tortilla chips served with the ceviche were a little stale, but overall a minor nit in an otherwise excellent ensemble of appetizers. The truffle fries were shoestring fries, and honestly felt like frozen fries (not a bad thing). The sauces they came with were good, one was a truffle sauce and the other was ketchup. For the main appetizers, many in our party ordered the chilean sea bass and the scallops. Both dishes were superb; small portions and high prices but the meal was just very satisfying. In general, that was the theme of this entire meal - high prices, good food.

We’ve been to Seastar a couple of times over the years and this was our third visit. I have to stay that I find this place rather uninteresting and also have a hard time understanding why everyone else seems to love this place. We enjoyed the oysters but the other main dishes we ordered were just alright. We liked the jambalaya but the fish was a bit overcooked. The bread was also some of the worst bread we’ve had in a restaurant, certainly not expected for a place with a similar price point. Overall I’d say this is an alright place and you would not be missing much if you choose to skip over.

First time eating at Seastar and was not disappointed, covid notwithstanding. The drinks were on point. The food and service was outstanding and I can NOT WAIT to go back to try other dishes!

Was there last week with friends and we were very impressed! Their house made sour was delicious (we tried it in a few of their drinks), and the grilled octopus was a winner - great texture! We will definitely be back, because we want to try the whole menu:)

We had the best waiter! His name is Adam. We sat at the Raw Bar side for happy hour. We ordered several items to try. The sweet and sour soup is always my favorite!

Never knew about this place until my cousin pointed it out to my significant other and myself. First off, customer service was exceptional because they don't make you feel rushed especially to look at the menu, they came multiple of times to check on us to make sure we are doing well and came to do a "quality check." To ensure that when we got the food and started eating, there was no issues at all. When it came to the food, that was another experience! First off, the Seastar Tower is something to try since it has variety of sample dishes like dungeness crab cakes, saifun shrimp and scallops that was perfectly cooked! They have a 3-course meal (only available Sunday-Thursday), which was only $35 per person and it was SO worth it and since there was 4 people in my party, we were able to try everything on that 3 course meal. For those who are keto-friendly, I highly suggest trying the Ginnocence, No Alcohol Gin because as simple as it may look, it was a really good and subtle drink. So if you are looking to have either a date night, family gathering or just a place to eat, I highly suggest coming here since it will have you crave for more!

Went for Seattle Restaurant Week. The place was hopping and, yet, we had excellent, efficient service. Top notch food. One of us had salmon and the other sole as the main course. Both were cooked to perfection. All three courses were enjoyed and even had some to take home. Highly recommend.

Today was a hard day but thank goodness for sea star and their wonderful staff for completely turning around my experience and energy today. The food was exceptional, the staff were fun, friendly and full of laughs, the speed and cleanliness were next level, this is the BEST restaurant in WA! Carrie, Greg, Luis and Hannah were absolutely incredible, they were super attentive, helpful in every way possible and they went above and beyond to make our experience sensational! Thank you guys! Dear restaurant owners, please make sure you surprise them with a big nice bonus, they are fabulous employees and wonderful humans all round!

I have been a long time Seastar fan but tonight is probably my last visit. The first few rounds of food have been good until we waited half an hour for our last two dishes and when they finally came the scallop dish was ice cold. We asked for the scallops to be reheated and when it came out again this time the scallops were SUPER salty. Fyi it was $60 for 5 pieces of scallops. Seriously overpriced and forced to pay 20% tips. Very disappointing and kinda ruined our night.

We came here for Seattle Restaurant week, but we would come here on any given day. The food is good, the service is great. You can park in the building parking lot. The restaurant will validate the ticket for up to 3 hrs. All of our dishes were delicious-especially the truffle fries! Soooo good.

We came here for my 30th birthday, we ordered a few appetizers, a bottle of wine and plenty of seafood entrees. Everything was delicious and the service was great, the must is their sashimi!!! They are thick, fresh and so soft. Worth the price! They also gave me a dessert of my choice and put a candle on it, it was such a pleasant experience, will be back again 🌹

Celebrated my birthday here, and it was an absolute delight! The food surpassed all expectations. I ordered the Steelhead, while my fiancé had the King Salmon—both exceptional. Despite the higher prices, it's an experience worth every penny. Huge thanks to Seastar for the delightful complimentary banana cream pie—such a treat!

My experience at the Seastar in Bellevue was very pleasant and enjoyable. From the atmosphere, service and food choices, all added to that experience. The cleanliness made me feel safe during the whole visit.

More than satisfied... delighted. We picked up our family meal in Bellevue on Saturday and had to wait in my car..... maybe 30 seconds before the staff delivered our dinner in one big bag. When we got home we discovered clear instructions along with everything we would need to enjoy: Salad: Spinach-Strawberry, Onion, Mushroom, Five Spice Cashews, Filet Mignons, Roasted Russet Potatoes, Haricot Verts Almandine and finally Bourbon Butterscotch Crème Brule. Since there are only two of us we saved half and had a complete repeat a couple of days later. Everything was excellent and the directions were easy to follow to make sure everything was perfect and it was. We are absolutely going to do this again.

Wow what a night. We enjoyed a sampling of 10 items from the crab cakes, sushi's mushroom soup, poke, and the scallops were the highlight plus much more. The food was superb with good balanced flavors, fresh ingredients and perfect seasonings. The service was spot on with attention at all the right times. I highly recommend an meal here.

Literally the BEST crab cakes in the world. I cannot stress just how amazing Seastar's crab cakes are. I've been going to this location since they opened at the Civica building. (I worked for the company that built Civica...so yeah, going since day 1) Chef Howie is so focused on delivering an amazing dining experience. What else is good? Their oysters are always top notch. The spicy tuna roll? I get one every time I go, along with the crab cakes. The sourdough crab and cheddar sandwich? To die for! I just had the tri-tip the other day. It was cooked perfectly. The cioppino is perfect for our cold rainy days. If I had to complain about anything with the tri-tip, I would have liked more than what I got : ) but I can say that about nearly every single thing I have tried there. They are all so good, it doesn't matter how full you are. You always want more. Be sure to have desert while you're there... the coconut cream pie is amazing, and huge too. Make sure you have someone to share it with, or plan on having a to go box because that's one item you do get enough of!

Really good seafood. My friend and I ate here for a speciall occasion dinner and enjoyed our meal. Or table was poorly positioned near the entrance and we felt slightly outside the buzz of the restaurant. We started with excellent Crab cakes. My friend had the King Salmon and I had the Omakase. Both very good. A couple of glasses of red wine and dessert. Or bill was about $250. Recommended.

Our group of three started with an appetizer of a plate of different sushi and sashimi. It was excellent. I really enjoyed the pear and blue cheese salad. I got one of my favorites: seared Ahi tuna with ginger, soy and wasabi. The sommelier paired it with an Austrian gruner veltiner by Lamm.

I've never been disappointed by Seastar. The food is wonderful, be it lunch or dinner. The wagyu burger was my go to, though on the heavy side for lunch. Finally, got a chance to have the Seastar experience again, but at home this time. We were missing our tradition of visiting Seastar, to celebrate our special occasions. I should say the experience was the same, sans the ambience (which was our home). The crab cakes and the cedar plank roasted salmon are the best, as always!! Desserts and sushi were spot on. It was a contactless pickup, courteous staff as always. They even threw in a small treat (chocolates), which was so kind of them. Happy that they are open during these times and serving the customers. Stay safe!

She made wonderful suggestions for wine, appetizers and our main course and at the end of the meal she even remembered to acknowledge my friend’s birthday by treating us to an an exceptional dessert. Sorry I didn’t get a picture because it looked beautiful and tasted incredible. Eating out during Covid-19 is almost impossible, but Manalu’s precautions made us feel comfortable and safe. Staff was great - the hostess took our order while we waited on a table and our server kept us laughing every time she came by. I'm not into Chicago style deep dishes but the pizza here is just amazing. It wasn't a big sloppy, soggy mess. Instead, the bottom was crisp, forming a solid foundation making it very hand holdable. LOTS of cheese, which I like. The wings were spicy but good. Garlic bread is awesome here (see pics). We got stuck in the corner table by the window which made space a premium and it was quite dark in this section so it was hard to see the food.

Had a lovely experience at Seastar rstu catching up with friends visiting from out of country. Our servers were very attentive, the service was spot on, the food was delicious, and the wine recommendations were very well received. We ordered the appetizer tower twice instead of getting individual entrees because the serving for each plate was only 4, and there were 5 of us eating. Pity they couldn't adjust the plate size to the numbers of dinners instead of standardizing. Overall a hood experience and worthy of return visit.

I have been hanging around the restaurant week and try different places. I would say this is the best of best so far. Glad I catch it on the last day of restaurant week! Will definitely head there for occasions often. - parking validation offered. - super friendly service. I was waiting for friend at the table. Server for another area came to offer me water. Server for our table is super nice too. Gave great recommendation of cocktail. Asks us if need parking validations. Asks us if need more water all the time though we have finished paying and ready to leave. Remind us that service charge is already included. They make sure you are good taken care of. - I’m surprised by what you get from the $35 menu. Appetizers have Oysters, ahi tuna etc, and salmon shrimp for entree. I LOVe the smashed potato!!! The rest are super yummy too! The desserts are lovely cute and delicious.

Let me start that we’ve been looking for a place with oysters forever that day and visit 5 different places where they run out of them 🙄🤷🏼‍♀️ and this place was our last hope. We came there and were surprised 😮 place looks very nice, stuff amazing! Literally every person in this place super sweet and nice! So let’s just admit pluses and minuses Pluses: 1. Stuff amazing 2. Food great, fast and delicious 3. Oysters the best I tried in the whole USA (second place goes to oysters in Maine) 4. Allowed to come with my service dog 5. Drinks excellent (he created and made it right in front of us and it was cool!) Minuses: 0 Highly recommend this place❤️ Sorry for pictures, we ate everything right 3 seconds after it arrived 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

This place has such a great atmosphere, the decor is quite modern. They like to keep the lights on the dimmer side but not so much so that you can't see, it's comfortable and almost relaxing. The menu is pretty diverse, and the plating presentation is beautiful. I ordered the Garlic Basil Shrimp with spaghetti squash. It was so good, I would definitely go back and get it again.

This was my third time of the restaurant, the menu is always the same, and the seafood is always good. I wouldn’t say this is an “good value“ restaurant because while the food is really good, it is overpriced. I am a huge fan of shrimp, tempura sushi, although this is nothing special special compared to other shrimp tempura. I do think the crabcakes are better much better than most crabcakes - although they are small. The salmon was over cooked (we ordered medium rare) but still delicious. When we came in to celebrate a special occasion, they treated us particularly well that night!

Came here with a large group and enjoyed our time there. We loved the oysters and the salmon nigiri appetizers. The salmon was so soft and perfectly salted and the shisho leaf complemented the fish and rice so well. I got the sea star special sushi, it was so good! The scallop inside was sooo buttery, the entire piece melted in my mouth. Other people in my party got the filet mignon and raved about it. However the bread and the grilled salmon were just ok —not the most spectacular. Also, I thought it was funny but strange when the waiter said to me, what would you like to drink, we have raspberry lemonade.

Went there for a business meeting. The poke appetizer was delicious and halibut ceviche was freshing. The enjoyed the salmin and halibut dinner with side of the crab bisque. We closed the meeting off by sharing the upside down pineapple cheesecake. That was fantastic.

A lovely experience! The ambiance at Seastar was very welcoming. The menu was high standard and the food was delicious. It can be expensive but worth the price. Staff was extremely knowledgeable and made great recommendations. Parking in the parkade is included which was also a bonus. The only downside was my husband and I found the noise level to be on the higher side. It was difficult to hear one and other over the abundance of loud conversations within the restaurant. However, overall we had a good experience and I would recommend Seastar to anyone looking for a quality experience in Bellevue.

Used to work in food service. They are killing it in the front and back of the house. Tried their prefix menu. Won't comment on what I got as it a prefix and probably different then when you go but you should definitely go! Well worth the 80-100+ you will spend.

Honestly, I didn’t expect Seastar to have such fresh and sushi/nigiri but I was wrong. The Japanese inspiration showed as the torched salmon belly had shiso leaf for the added crunch, and all the sashimi we got absolutely melted in our mouth. I was pleasantly surprised that this restaurant executed both raw and cooked fish well.

Service was top knotch! Started with crab cakes and the seared pork which were both amazing(sorry no pictures, we were hungry 😂)! The cakes had perfectly cooked hunks of crab meat and the pork had an absolutely deliciously sweet soy based glaze/sauce and I was VERY impressed by the scotch selection. My Wagyu tri-tip was cooked to absolute perfection and being accompanied by the mashed potatoes and asparagus it was a meal that dreams are made of! 👍🏽
