The zoo was not bad its was ok, most of the animals weren’t there but I know due to the weather and season they cant have them just yet, but even so the zoo feels a little bit crammed up compared to others. Not as big , I thought it would be more open & with more animals. The chickens were up in the barn so we didn’t get to see them , and a lot of the food stands closed and again I understand it’s due to the season but at least the price should reflect what’s available & what’s not. Overall it’s good for the kids to get out and see some animals would of loved to at least have had one food stand open to have something to munch on while the kids Interact with the animals.

This is a well kept smaller zoo that has plenty of animals and is a great size for the younger (10 and under) crowd. They have a nice playground and lots of parking. It feels very manageable and the staff is friendly. This time we went to the zoo lights display and they didn't disappoint. Something safe and fun to try during this Covid season. Lots of concessions and bathrooms on-site. I recommend this zoo as a low stress option for an enjoyable outing with little ones!

I was surprised that I would see 🙈 animals while walking the well decorated zoo. Christmas 🎄 lights everywhere! Music 🎶 was playing that was at a good volume. I walked around several times and I was impressed how tidy the zoo was. There were people dressed up as characters from Star Wars and other customers were walking around with toy light sabers. I observed a bear, Artic Fox, reindeer 🦌, porcupines ,Scarlett Ibis, falcons, bald eagle 🦅, 🦇 bats and cranes.A few people brought their 🐕 dogs in so I noticed a few more animals. Food and drinks were available. I now want to return when they reopen in the spring 🌱 to see more of what this zoo has to offer. I am recommending the Zoolights for a relaxing time. I am recommending the

Great smaller zoo. Our kids did a speed tour but we will return in better weather. Saw everything in about 1.5 hours

It was really pretty with all the lights. Most of the animals were asleep. So we didn't see much. Staff was very friendly. I'd go again.

Great small zoo for the kids to run around and see the whole thing. My son used to know the order of all the animal enclosures! Staff is super caring about the animals. We love the Lego statues. The enclosures with windows are hard to see from the glare, but I understand the necessity. I also sometimes feel like a lot of the animals are off exhibit frequently, which can be disappointing, but I again understand why. It needs a lot of updating and work, but they're making big improvements. They don't have a lot of big ticket animals, like lions, giraffes, elephants, rhinos, hippos or zebras. This review is harder for me since I used to work at the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden, which is amazing and I cannot help but compare it to that. Overall: IT IS A GREAT ZOO FOR YOUNGER KIDS.

Waste of 40 minute drive to see and smell sad, inadequate living conditions for animals. Cried the entire time and since there's only one way out we had to suffer the lackluster light display and continue to see depressed animals in habitats suitable for animals the size of rodents. Disgusted and disappointed. Reminded me why I have never taken my children to a zoo. I thought this would be different. Regretting it hard.

Here is a small but delicate zoo. You might see new-born sloth baby, puma, lynx, white fox, wolves family and 'ghost cats' snow leopards! Even the zoo charged every adult over $21 entry fee, I thought it's worth. Staffs are friendly and willing to share their knowledge of animals.

I love this zoo! (I recommend packing a lunch or coming after lunch since the lunch spot is small and limited) Sure it’s technically smaller than Franklin park but that doesn’t make it a subpar zoo! If this zoo is closer than Franklin park I definitely recommend. It has such a diverse range of animals and despite a lot of traveling there’s animals I’ve never seen before at other zoos! Example the reindeer, wolves and bison! Very unique range of animals! Love this zoo.

It was a wonderful family day outing, and my mother truly enjoyed the experience. Tigers are her favorite! It was an easy layout to walk - an important consideration for older folks in our group. And... the Orangutan exhibit is the best! :+)

My 4 year old son and I had a great visit to the Stone zoo on a Saturday. It was our first time going and we ended up purchasing a membership. The zoo is fairly small, perfect for younger families. The Dinosaur exhibit they were hosting was fabulous. Some of the Dinosaurs moved and roared. My little guy loved it. The food at the cafe definitely needs improvement, pack your own food for sure. They were building a carnival type ride for kids. It looked like it will be fun for toddlers. The store near the exit was great, they even had a sale section. The women working the store was so kind, she was the one who told us the price we paid for the day would count towards a membership. She made that sale for sure. We we definitely be going back.

We went for Zoo Lights and it was phenomenal. All our kids loved it, it was easy to navigate through the park and the lights and music were well designed for all to enjoy. Will definitely be back in warmer weather to see all the animals.

Small zoo, could easily be done in an hour or less if just passing through. Animals were well taken care of. They had some fun Lego creations on display while I was there. A good way to spend an hour or two while on the way to Boston.

Stone zoo exhibits many animals ranging from jaguar, snow leopards to whispering wolves to flamingos and parrots. The zoo isn't very big but that makes it perfect for taking your toddlers to. You can tour the whole zoo with your toddler in an hour and half easily. They have a play area for kids and lot of sitting places here and there are a big plus.

Small, but nice zoo. We were there for about 3 hours and felt we'd seen everything (we were 3 adults including 1 person with Alzheimer's). Interesting assortment of animals. Very enjoyable. Check with your local library to see if they have a pass. We paid $9 each.

Lovely zoo and a great day out for the family. Loved the animals especially the red pandas and the giraffes as they are both so cute. Best spot was the tropical house and we spent a while in there as it was awesome. Quite pricey to get in but knowing that money will be helping conservation efforts, I guess makes it worth it. The train is not worth going on as the best thing you will really see is the back of the gift shop as the animals are too far away too see from it. Overall nice place place to have a day out and see some beautiful animals.

Amazing zoo even during the pandemic. Not too cold with a little flurry. Not crowded. Plenty of time to look at the animals. Animals were so cool! They would walk up to check out the "hoo-mans" checking them out. We had flamingos yell at us, a yak call us over, wolves run down the hill to scout us out and snow leopards majestically checking us out. My 5 year old loved it! Be sure to support this place when you get a chance!!

Great place to take the kids! My advice, pay the $12 extra to get the adventure pass like we did, you won't regret it. You get to feed the animals at certain exhibits (birds, giraffe, etc.) and ride the rides. All the exhibits were amazing, the only problem we ran into is if you want to see the dolphin show, you have to present your ticket you get at the main entrance. We were lead to believe we needed a separate ticket and because of this, were unable to see the show. Aside from that, the butterfly exhibit is outside the main gate, it is not located within the park if you are looking for it based on the signs and map.

This zoo was okay. We road trip a lot and there are much better zoos out there to visit. We got to do the dolphin encounter which was unique. However, we felt rushed through it and it was a lot of money for only a several-minute experience. We did a quick walk-thru of the zoo and it was more than enough. *I would not visit this place during COVID. Many people took their masks off when they got inside and there was no accountability for it.

Staff was located throughout the park, and was really helpful. Lots of exhibits closed, but that's to be expected with the cold, and animals that are sensitive to Covid. Snow leopards and wolves were both out, which was definitely a positive. Kids loved it!

The Christmas light show is outstanding! Much more spread out than in previous years. It's cool seeing so many light displays and also animals walking around like black bears and sloths. Gotta have the hot chocolate to warm up the inside. 😋

Great light displays & neat views all throughout! There are animals & lights & music & snacks all along the outdoor walk. My toddler-age niece had fun running around & especially liked some of the smaller moving display boxes towards the end (there were twirling Barbies & several little trains on tracks). The Arctic foxes were out & running around & it was adorable, & one of the bears was strolling very close to the viewing area (safely separated, of course) which made it easy to observe. The flamingos were making tired goosey sounds that were pretty cute. There was a bobcat & a snow leopard & an otter & a porcupine & also lots of sleepy critters that were snoozing out of sight. It was cool to be at the Zoo at nighttime! Definitely a new experience! Lots of kids were enjoying themselves.

Awesome place close to home. I bring my kid there all the time. Really wish they had chimpanzees. They do have a lot of cool animals, too. Careful with bees around this time, a lot of yellow jackets don't let you wat in peace as well.

Went last night to see the Stone Zoo Lights. I enjoyed it aswell as my toddler n partner. Beautiful lights and got to see a few of the animals even tho they where sleeping. It was a bit chilly but if you go accordingly to weather you should be fine. They have music also a area to buy hot chocolate and snacks also a few games for kids. Bathrooms where clean and warm. Looking foward to going in spring and summer. I also paid 7 dollars per adult showing by ebt card.

COVID during Zoo Lights: Came here with the family and we enjoyed ourselves. Capacity limits made us feel very safe and spaced out from others. My trio of boys age 10-16 found it enjoyable but certainly not mesmerizing. Decorations like this are pretty typical nowadays in front yards so my crew wasn’t particularly in awe of anything for zoo lights. However it was a nice break and to do something as a family and walk outside and see some animals. We stopped by 5-6 enclosures were we got to watch some active zoo animals. Took us about 45-60 minutes to get through. I’m confident younger kids will love it. Not Santa or his workshop but still magical for them.

Great day at the zoo with my wife and son. The animals looked pretty well looked after and the zoo was in very good condition. The prices are very reasonable for admittance as well as prices for concessions. I was dissapinted that a few exhibits were closed due to the pandemic but it is what it is. It's obviously not the animal kingdom but it was still a great day outside with the family.

When to zoo lights. As always, Zoo New England did a great job. It was a little different from previous years, you know...Covid, but ZNE adapted and it was a good place to go as a family to see some holiday lights, some animals and extended the holiday season.

A fantastic zoo to visit in any season! There are lots of world-class exhibits to choose from. My personal favorites are the penguins (very nifty display where you can see them swim from one side of the room to the other, under the floor), the dolphins (cool underwater viewing dome for watching the swim around you), and the orangutans (very nice multi-story indoor structure for watching them play and climb, my three year old's favorite). Definitely a lot of must-see exhibits and a fantastic stop on a visit to Indianapolis.

Great for entrance to be free on Dr Martin Luther King Jr's birthday, but... Very cold out and lightly snowing all day. Not allowed to eat lunch inside out of the weather. The elephants and girraffs were inaccessible. People had to wait outside in the cold weather in lines to enter exhibits in buildings. However, the exhibits we did see were great. The dolphins were tremendous! The exotic birds were spectacular, the orangutans were very entertaining.

I love visiting here. Its so open, peaceful, and fun. There is kid-friendly parks and games, as well as a petting zoo with she farm animals available, too. You can pre-order your ickets, or buy them at the for, and they start churching for children at the age of 2, so keep that in mind, just in case. Came to the Stone Zoo specifically for their Lego Supersize Creature exhibition that runs from May 7th to September 4th 2022. Throughout the park, amongst the exhibits, there were over 30 life size animal sculptures, all absolutely amazing and educational! Event or not, I would absolutely recommend checking this zoo out… all animals and enclosures were very well maintained, giving the sensation that you are no longer in the city and more so in each animal’s ideal environment.

It was really enjoyable and I would give it 5 stars but I was bothered by everyone around me constantly stopping to take photos! I couldn’t even keep moving to enjoy everything because I constantly had someone stopping to take a photo or pose for a photo. Can I tell you guys a secret? You can find photos of otters and snow leopards on google! AND if you post on your social media that you visited the Zoo Lights, people believe you! You do not need to back it up with 20 photos of the animals and the lights. I was watching this beautiful little otter splash around and really enjoying it and was disgusted by all the flashes around me! Everyone was just taking photos and videos of the otter, not even taking the moment to enjoy it! Does anyone actually enjoy being there? Does anyone actually go to look at everything or is it just to take photos to put on social media? If you are going to constantly stop and block the path of walking to take photos, please take into consideration those of us who just want to keep walking to enjoy the animals and lights!

I usually love this zoo but my fiancé and I went here for my birthday last night and I don’t know, it just wasn’t 100% great. Of course the lights were awesome, I loved seeing the rainbow fox, the frog, etc but the entire place smelled like cigarettes. Literally everywhere we went you could smell a strong cigarette scent, like someone just blew it in your face. Maybe it was just some jerk being sneaky inside, but come on. We also tried to get food but we waited in line for over 5 minutes and the line didn’t even inch up and we were over 8 people down. I dunno, wasn’t a great night but I’ll probably be back again anyways because their lights are really cool.

Had to stop by to see the new baby sloth pup and ended up with a fun trip to Stoneham. Spent between 1-2hrs at the zoo. Although smaller than the neighboring Massachusetts zoos, the exhibits use their space well and enrichment is provided for the animals. Exhibit design could be better; this is something I see improving with newer construction. Easy to navigate, family friendly and a variety of animals. The animals were very active towards the end of the day. Some of the animals were even being fed by keepers, which allowed visitors to see animals exhibiting natural behaviors. Bathrooms, exhibits, and walkways were clean and well-maintained. Ample, easy, and shady parking right outside. Only concern was that no food stands were open during our visit in March - a warm day during my spring break (although understandably not everyone's or MA's break).

ZooLights were beautiful and the attention to attendees flow and pace throughout the event was lovely. Had a good time visiting the zoo lights. The loop you follow is a little less than a half mile and it takes you through fun Christmas displays and animals. The animals are limited in the winter - we went in January and could see the snow leopards, flamingos, reindeer, sloth, porcupine, monkeys and some birds. There may have been a few others, but they we couldn’t spot them in their cages. We spent about an hour there.

I really enjoyed Zoo Lights! Even despite Covid, so much effort is put into making it a wonderful experience. I am concerned about animal well-being in some enclosures since for example the monkey area smelled very strongly of feces. A lot of exhibits are closed so there aren't many animals to see. But overall I really enjoyed it.

Went there for zoolights. Very easy to navigate. Kids had fun. Only problem i found was lines. Whether it was tbe ticket line, food line, santas village line. They need to manage lines better and also place time limits on patrons because at one point in our zoo experience, we were waiting for 20 mins in line bc the people before us, were taking selfies and family photos with every display there and we couldn't enter until they were socially distant.

MLK DAY Free Passes! A Small Zoo 🐾but Fun. Not everything 🐖open because of Covid. Nice job at letting so many people in at a time . People respectful of distancing. It was fun and nice. It was about a mile walk around the zoo. My favorites were the Pink Flamingos and the Wolves. It was a beautiful day also. Not too cold. Really Nice ! They also had Zoo Lights which looked like it would be great. 🐖🐐🐾🦃🐔🐼🐻🐢

Stone Zoo is open in this pandemic and they have made a great job keeping almost all animals and section open. Some of them are close due different reason. The way to visit it is so easy. Just walk and follow the one way. You don’t need to think about what way or if it’s the wrong way. There is only one way. Thanks Kids are so happy to see different species forms different planet places. You can see pink flamingos As well Mexican wolfs. Nice and funny for Kids. I really recommend to visit this Zoo. Ah it’s not to much bigger so it will not take too much time.

Very well done Marwell. You've done absolutely brilliantly at protecting your guests, staff and animals. Lots of great COVID-19 procedures in place. We visited on the wettest day this summer and your staff were great and continued to be cheerful. We loved our visit. In fact, liked it so much we are considering a membership.

Marwell zoo is an amazing place to go with family. No matter how old you are there is things for you. They have a few free water refill stations dotted around and I would recommend taking a Camara. There is so much to see and do. I personally like the snow leopards the best.

  • 5/5 Glyn R. 3 years ago on Google
I've been before and thought it would be a great day out whilst having the option to continue social distancing. There are some places that have got social distancing right and Marwell is one of them. Queues at the front gate were well managed (though we didn't experience much of a queue), which was a good sign. There was plenty of hand sanitizer on offer, and people were very good about masking up where needed. Queues were well managed by staff and I felt very comfortable at all times. There's also plenty of outdoor space available, and the staff seemed very keen to ensure a safe space for everyone. Is it a strange time? Yes. Has Marwell done their best to ensure their visitors have a great time whilst keeping the Covid 19 impact to a minimum? Yes. I don't want to seem too obsessed with Covid 19, but that's where we are for the moment at least. You obviously have to pre-book which is fine. I'd personally recommend arriving later as there will be fewer people (3pm was very nice fyi), but it was absolutely fine when we arrived at 11am as well. Overall another great visit and I hope to be back soon. Keep up the great work to the staff at Marwell, you've got this 👍

Well kept, with enough parking. Most animals well looked after. On the downside, thought there were too many people allowed in to easily maintain social distancing. Some animals like the big cats didn't seem to have enough space.

Amazing place. So much to see and lots to learn about. Good walks round the park. Little train ride is good (check availability before you go to avoid disappointment). Tractor train also operates to take you round the park, or to pick up and drop off at various places round the park if you are tired of walking. Animals are well kept and have plenty of space...which can sometimes make them hard to spot....but that's half the fun. Massive savings on annual passes. Book tickets in advance guarantees you entrance when busy. Plenty of parking and I believe the whole park is wheelchair and pushchair friendly. Team are very knowledgeable and friendly. Happy to answer any questions you may have. Some play parks dotted around. A lovely cafe and some seated picnic areas, covered and uncovered. Great day for all the family.

  • 1/5 Gareth S. 3 years ago on Google
Email me at 21:00 saying my tickets have been cancelled for the next day. Now I check my emails often, but why would I at this time of night! I can only imagine that I wasn't the only disappointed person that turned up with a child that wasn't informed in good time. A two-hour drive with a 21-month-old child to find out once we arrived that you had closed. To add insult to injury on the email you also are asked if you would like to donate your tickets, but nothing about a refund just an opportunity to move dates if you would like once they reopen.

  • 1/5 J A. 3 years ago on Google
Website front page did not say anything about ‘online pre bookings only’ that we were told at the kiosk, then one of the staff gracefully allowed us to go in stating “ah, we will let you in on this occasion” as if we were desperate to part with the heavy entrance fee of over £50 and did not envisage the day without the trip to the zoo; as she was doing us a favour. We did not ask for favours but it would be nice to feel welcomed, the least we would expect, which didn’t happen on this occasion. Prior to that we were stopped and told that no scooters are allowed, despite we had a lead on it as it was a way for a toddler to be driven around, but we were firmly denied scooter access given the reason that some parts of the roads were too bumpy and there were accidents in the past... having walked around the zoo again (it wasn’t our first visit but we will make it our last one) there were no public paths fitting that description; to add, surely it would be parental responsibility and not that of Marwell, with a brief disclaimer they could have avoided issues, just like we were offered to leave the scooter at our own risk we should have been allowed to carry it in at our risk too. We, of course, ended up having to carry the child around. I went back to the website to only been able to find mention of ‘no scooters’ and ‘online bookings only’ only if you put key words in the search bar, which in turn brings up search results from their FAQs page, should this not be at the forefront of the website and feature on the home landing page? It at least have a wording banner and a link to important things to note prior visiting. The website also did not mention the utter limitations of the wildlife sightseeing apart from indoor enclosures being unavailable. It features summery images of a vibrant wildlife centre, which couldn’t look more different this morning. I understand that no one can guarantee the animals being out at certain times nor wishes to advertise empty enclosures as this would be off putting to visitors, but surely there could be some things put in place in light of the current limitations, for example guidance on animals feeding times, which would encourage them to appear, for example; I am certain those working with animals and knowing their behavior could come up with a few suggestions that would turn the visit from what feels like a very expensive outdoor walk into something more inviting and engaging for children. The stationary trains looked abandoned and they could have been dressed in Christmas lighting and Santa / reindeer figures to make them a feature rather than a dysfunctional machinery that children would find upsetting as it would be one of the things they would be looking forward to, essentially turning the place in a bit of a winter wonderland to substitute for the the sightseeing deficit. Also, we had to guess about all these attractions being unavailable, a lot of guessing today. Signs for the shop... Is there a need to display a sign for the shop which has a huge ‘Closed’ sign on its front? Again, keeping the light on and maybe trying to advertise some items that can be purchased online so it doesn’t look abandoned and still invites people to purchase when they come home? The Lego figures are nice for children to look at, so there are clearly things that can be done to brighten the place up. Partner with Science Museum in London and create solar powered animal figures that move or hydro etc, they have plenty of robotics ideas that could be both educational and entertaining, Winchester Science Centre is also nearby and has plenty of idea potential, I am sure there are many art university students that could help with creating themed art work for the centre, the potential to turn in into a huge local attraction is there. Surely more sponsors can be involved in what is a very good cause. Overall it left us feel that there was no effort made to make it attractive or inviting in current most difficult climate, more like ‘take it or leave it’ attitude.

We had a great time, even though the Plains was closed due to snow. We enjoyed the dolphin show, but were disappointed that half of the show was about how we can save the ocean. We got the important message in the introduction video, which we totally agree with. However, the show is only 20 minutes long and we only got to see the dolphins for maybe 10 minutes. Our youngest lost interest once the dolphins were gone. Disappointing. It wasn't like this in the past. They would have a great conservation message and then the show began.

  • 3/5 Charmaine D H. 3 years ago on Google
My favorite zoo...so far. Just the right size. Dolphin exhibit was beautiful...however I will say it wasn't as special like I thought it would be. They were just swimming, a lot of times out if sight.

We went on Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday because that's the only time this family of 13 can afford to go. It was super cold, but we still enjoyed our time there. The safari lands were closed, unfortunately. They're also expanding the attractions; hippos will be added later this year. I can really see how enjoyable I it would be in the warmer months.

We went to the Indianapolis Zoo during the off season, so that combined with Covid 19 restrictions means that a large portion of the exhibits were closed. This meant for a short trip to what is already a small, compact urban zoo. The dolphin experience was very cool though, and was worth the visit just by itself.

Christmas at the zoo was lovely and a great way to have some family time without too much covid risk. Obviously not all animals are active in the winter and at night, so we didn't get to see giraffes, elephants and such. But it was really nice. There were some lines to get into the inside exhibits but they moved quickly. Much less crowded due to covid.

Great little zoo! This was our first time here. Loved the hidden bat cave, the reindeer and the wolves! The animals look well taken care of. The whole place is very clean and followed COVID-19 protocol. We also caught the Dino exhibit was was cute but honestly nothing special, except for the babies which was different. The animals were the main attraction here. Worth a visit! Check if you have reciprocal benefits from another zoo.

Nothing exciting here.I went today with my kids. This zoo is very small.Lots of animals were hard to see or they just weren’t there. They have restrooms at the entrance and a few throughout.A snack stand that sells pretzels and I assume drinks and not sure what else.Sanitizer was available throughout. My overall opinion would be this is a great zoo for toddlers. They have a play area and a petting area.I think this is my first time and last here though.

It was nice, but small. That may be exactly what your looking for. Everything was clean, and pathways were wide and stroller/wheelchair accessable. There was a pressed penny machine outside, and a nice (moderate-high priced) gift shop. Free parking with lots of shade for outdoor lunch. There was a nice playscape for little ones, more 10 and under. My 12 and 10 year old were a bit to big with all the 3-5 year olds running around! However, there is also a big park across the street. (Free) This would be my "go to" place if I had toddlers/preK. Enough for them to see and feel like it was a full day, and small enough that parents aren't exhausted by the end of the day!

A fun zoo, and open even during cold days in winter. If you do visit in winter, bear in mind (see what I did there?) that some animals might be away for the season because it's too cold. Still, many animals are out, and very exciting and fun to see

  • 5/5 Roman P. 2 years ago on Google
Our family visited the first weekend in April, and it was rather cold-ish, so a lot of animals are not on display. Overall, it's a very nice and well planned zoo that is great for kids. It's not the biggest zoo, and lots of animals are on the smaller side, so you won't see your typical rinos, giraffes with elephants roaming free. Expect small to medium size animals like birds, monkeys and your felines. It is also on the pricey side of things, but the animals are well kept, and it's for a good cause. We will definitely try to come back in the summer. PS The zoo is also right next to Middlesex falls reservation with lots of trails and kids' playgrounds.

First time I’ve been compelled to write a review. May be good for kids under 10. Otherwise it’s a sad, cold, strobing nightmare for you and the animals. A waste of money and even more disappointing when you realize your money is being used to keep the animals in such poor living conditions. The few animals we saw looked sickly and dazed. Save your money and your time.

went here for zoolights and it is actually pretty small if you compared it to the one at franklin park zoo. overall pretty similar stuff with about 1/4 the attractions. the snow leopard is the saving grace for them though and is a must see

For those looking for fun activities to get your kids out of the house over the winter/holiday season, ZOOLIGHTS at the Stone Zoo is a great option. There are tons of cool holiday- and animal-themed light displays to capture their imagination, as well as several of the animal exhibits kept open at night (black bears, sloths, monkeys, porcupines, flamengos and other exotic birds, etc). There is even a small merry-go-round for younger kids to ride. The zoo's gift shop and restrooms remain open, and there are also snacks and hot chocolate available for purchase. All-in-all, an enjoyable evening out with kids.

We took our two children, ages 3 and 5 and it was a cold and rainy night but that didn't stop them from having a wonderful time. It was not crowded at all and we were surprised at how many animals were on display, so fun!

The displays seemed sort of messy and randomly placed and many strings of lights wrapped around trees were out. It was just kind of underwhelming. When you combine that with the size of the zoo… I am glad my family did not travel far to go. It has potential.

Most animals will be sleeping during this time. But you dont go for this. You go so that you can experience the light show. Its gorgeous.

We visited this with our son and his family on Memorial Day. It is a small zoo, but it has very interesting animals, about half of which I had never seen in a zoo before. The staff are friendly and glad to help and the exhibits or both well maintained and excellent in their presentation of facts. We will enjoy the Stone Zoo again; it is definitely worth multiple visits.

I went for their 21+ ales and tails event, where local breweries and restaurants offered food and drink while we got to explore the zoo after hours. It was so much fun! Besides the food and drink, there were several demonstrations, and a photo booth. I'll definitely be coming back!

Awesome day! Great animals. My daughter loved the wolves. Gift store was nice, little pricey. Bathrooms available. Spot for smaller kids. Drinks and food available. I'd advice packing some extra water and snacks. Cost me 4.oo for a 160z can😔 it was really nice day. Relaxing.

This place was perfect for our trip! It took about 1.5 hours to get through and that was with stopping and talking to an employee at the gibbins (I think) exhibit AND letting our kids play at the playground. We noticed some of the feline animals were pacing and so we asked the employee we had spoken to and she explained to us that they were boys and likely doing a territory walk! She also made friends with the mama monkey and you could tell she loved her job and the animals!

The original house that allowed us to see these lights was incredible.. very happy someone got to take over and make Christmas lights a fun family tradition for anyone planning on making new traditions

Great affordable place to take the family and kids. Not a lot of repeat value for adults but kids rarely care about that. They have black bears, wolves, a mountain lion, a leopard, reindeer, mountain goats, a petting area for sheep and goats for the kids, etc it's a good two hour trip to keep kids entertained outdoors.

This such a cute little zoo! We were in town visiting from out of state and decided to go here as reciprocal members. Parking was pretty easy even though the lot was mostly full. Plus side- much of the parking is covered! Getting tickets at the ticket office was pretty easy. Children under 2 are free. The entire zoo visit probably won’t take you longer than 2 hours. Perfect for little kids before/after nap time! Our favorite exhibits were the flamingos, jaguar, wolves, and the bear. The playground is great - my little guy really enjoyed it. There are a few concession stands but your best bet is to bring in your own food.

Another great way to break up the drive from Northern NH to Boston. A quick stop in to see the big cats & wolves. Everything was clean and well kept, crowds were down and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Nicely lit up zoo, but very small. You’ll be done in about an hour

Small zoo with a pretty nice selection of wildlife to observe. Being a special needs family, it was nice to see the one-armed Gibbon was included. Parking was plentiful and accessible for a wheelchair.

Our first visit to the Stone Zoo today for my daughter's birthday. It was a perfect outing, lots of shady walkways and the exhibits allowed you to see the animals from different angles. The zoo is on the smaller size, so great for young children. You won't get overly exhausted before you see it all.

Always enjoy this zoo. It is well kept and staff is very friendly. It is small and can be seen in a couple of hours. You can call ahead for feedings of tortoises. There are other events scheduled on their website.

3.5 A good zoo but not as good as their sister zoo - Franklin Park. Very clean and food was reasonably priced for what you get. Some of the enclosures are definitely on the smaller side, especially the owl and some of the other birds. Most of the animals were asleep but that’s to be expected at a zoo..
