Small zoo, but one of the cutest zoos I have been to. The space is managed well and the new bear exhibit looks really nice. The SkyWalk is awesome to go on. with the ADA accessibility, even on the skywalk. Will definitely return and excited to see new additions/updates in the future.

The parking was a bit a hassle because we weren’t sure if it was a parking lot across from it or just the street in front of the entrance. So get early to find a spot. The zoo also has a garden next to it’s location. Oh, Avoid the army guard parking, signs posted for tow away. The layout is simple but very enjoyable. The main attraction for us when we can through was the Skywalk, your children can walk through with you and I mean walk because there are parts that aren’t solid platform it will wobble(shake). It rained a bit on our visit so be careful. Someone will be there to inform you, for everyone’s safety. Enjoy your visit and be safe!

We visited the zoo on a Tuesday around 4pm. I would advise not to wait this late to go. We were not able to see some of the animals because their habitats were being cleaned and they were not brought back out. There are not a lot of animals to begin with so this was disappointing, especially for the price we paid. However, the sky walk was very good. It’s provides a new perspective on the size of Redwoods. Even though we were almost 100 ft off the ground, the Redwoods still soared high above us. Shout out to the otters. They were the best exhibit due to their antics. Signs indicate the bear will be on display the summer of 2023. I think it is summer now and they need to deliver on their advertising.

Nice zoo. It’s a very small zoo, but my friends and I still had fun. The most popular attraction in the zoo is the Redwood Sky Walk. It was very cool being able to walk in a redwood forest so high. It was definitely a unique experience. It’s a cool way for the zoo attract people and raise funds. There’s a new enclosure for a bear in the zoo that’s opening in summer 2023. Overall the zoo was worth the visit just for the Sky Walk.

My son loves coming here and spending time with the animals and playing in the water feature. He just learned how to walk and was very excited about the sky walk. I love the petting zoo in the back, and we are so excited for the bear exhibit.

Lovely little zoo. Great for kids. The red panda was most entertaining. The animals looked well cared for in very nice and spacious enclosures. The redwoods Skywalk is awesome.

A delightful zoo to visit when in Eureka. Clean surrounds, wonderful facilities for the animals. Knowledgeable staff and guides. Fun treetop walkway in the redwoods and aerial views of the bears. Great for kuds of all ages.

I took 4 teens ages 19 and 12 and we had a great morning at the zoo. Previous reviews were right about it being small, but what was there was so close and the animals were eager to interact to some extent. We loved the sky walk and although it's not that long we took our time and observed so much that we couldn't have from the ground. We even had the treat of watching the black bear climb down the tree while we were watching. If you walk fast you could see everything in 30 minutes, but if you take your time and try to get everything out of it you can, then plan a couple of hours. PS I grew up in San Diego so I know what guys zoos look like and even though this one is small the animals' care and habitats are top notch

Nice small zoo. And the recent attraction of Skywalk in the redwood trees is pretty nice too. You can spend a couple of hours here. Animals and birds are OKAY nothing extraordinary. They are building a new thing with bears, which might be good.

Don't go for an abundance of wildlife to be honest I've been twice and the best part is the Sky Bridge. Makes it worth it. The animals are hard to be seen and the new Bear exhibit is almost done. There's a great petting zoo though! Don't miss the lovely garden and the Sequoia park on either side both are show stoppers.

I recently visited the Sequoia Park Zoo and let me tell you, it was a wild experience. Not only did I get to see some amazing animals, but I also got to see some of the tallest trees on the planet. The redwoods were absolutely massive and I couldn't help but feel like a tiny ant in comparison. As for the animals, they were all top-notch. I was particularly impressed with the Otters, who were just lounging around like they were on a lazy Sunday. I mean, they were basically just wet cats in sweatpants. But the real stars of the show were the monkeys. They were swinging from branch to branch like they were auditioning for a Tarzan reboot. One of them even wanted to steal my sunglasses, which I have to admit was pretty impressive. Overall, I highly recommend a visit to the Sequoia Park Zoo.

This is a good place to spend a few hours. It's a small zoo but has enough variety of animals to remain engaging. The bush dogs, otters, red pandas, and raptor aviary were our favorites. The skywalk is definitely a must do. It's an easy walk and an interesting perspective of the redwoods. The huge burl was the highlight. The walkway is designed to move, but the platforms around the trees are sturdy.

Very nice small zoo. Tree canopy experience was worth it just by itself. The river otters will not disappoint and will put on a show. Petting zoo was really cute.

This zoo is located in a nice spot on the border of a redwood forest. It is not huge but meticulously kept and a must-see when in the area. It has a nice barnyard section for the kids and the highlight is of course the boardwalk through the redwood tree canopy (yes, through not under).

The red pandas were so beautiful. And the walk through the Redwoods over 100 feet in the air is an exhilarating experience. The animal exhibits are quite quaint, and they seem to be very well cared for. The staff is very friendly and happy which makes the place just perfect. We are looking forward to returning soon.

It's a small zoo but perfect to explore with our two year old. There's a petting area where the children can pet the goats and sheep. The Sky walk was great because it gave us a perspective on how incredibly tall the Redwoods are. We were not even half way up on the trees and it felt pretty high. Again, it is small which is perfect for small children to enjoy and not feel overwhelmed. We really enjoyed it. Bonus: there is a garden (cost free) to the right of the zoo and there's a big playground (cost free) and trails to the left of the zoo. There's plenty of parking around. We went on a weekday so I wouldn't know how it is during the weekend.

It was a super fun place. I loved seeing the red Panda. The Redwood skywalk was by far my favorite part. Standing up 150 to 200 feet high in the trees. Walking across from redwood to redwood. With the amazing sites down below, it was pretty amazing. Not to mention, you have the rest of the entire zoo to enjoy as well. The gift shop can use and update, and possibly more trinkets and things to buy would be cool.

I have purchased an annual family pass for several years (4 years I believe). It is a great little zoo. The sky walk has become my 4 year old daughters favorite thing there. They have spider monkeys, bush dogs, river otters, bald eagles, a spotted owl, red panda's, a petting zoo for the kids, flamingos, and more. My only gripe would be the cafe (hence the loss of 1 star ⭐)which is a bit spendy especially for what you get, so we eat elsewhere. They are adding a black bear and coyote exhibit this year 2022. It is definitely worth checking out, fun for the kids and whole family.

Tiny, but a great place to stop and enjoy nature. There is a petting zoo, too! We came for the redwood walk and enjoyed the whole experience. There is also a redwood Grove with trails for walking and riding bikes that has no entry fee

Wow have they improved since 2007! The new black bear exhibit is nearly complete and looks absolutely gorgeous 😍 there are so many interactive parts to this little zoo that make it a wonderland full of animals and adventure for kids. Highly recommend visiting with the kids and ending with the new skywalk.

This is a great little zoo. The best part is the redwoods sky walk. Great time for a few hours when the sun is out. I'd definitely go back. The staff is great, the interactive part is great for everyone. Go and pet the sheep, it's fun

The skywalk was a great experience for my daughter. She's scared of heights but got comfortable pretty quick with the distraction of the views and realizing how safe it is. We got to watch the bears play fight which was absolutely adorable!

This is a really great place to visit. It’s a small zoo, but they have some really beautiful, exotic animals and beautiful settings. The animals all look happy, got to see some red pandas bush dogs. Several animals had never seen before even a bald eagle and I absolutely loved the skywalk through the redwoods, overall it is a great place to visit

EBT card gets you in for $4 a person. The best time to go is when they feed the animals, it's the only time you will see the zoo keepers but they are more than happy to interact with guests about the animal(s) they are feeding. (And the animals come out)The bears are a big hit best seen from the sky walk. Sky walk is not for those afraid of heights. Petting zoo allows all to brush/pet farm animals and has great kid interactive displays to enjoy.

Smaller zoo but it is great. It took us about 2 hours to go through it all, including the skywalk. It was clean and well maintained. We didn’t see the red panda since we went when they had just opened but still saw plenty of the other animals, it’s great they have a petting place for kids. I enjoyed the skywalk through the redwoods and I am glad it is part of the zoo ticket purchase, it makes the price definitely worth it.

Cute little zoo, it's not the LA Zoo. You can see it all in 2 hours. But the atmosphere was amazing. Loved the bird area. The sky walk was a great experience.

Beautiful special little zoo. Definitely Is not the San Diego zoo but it is a fun experience. People are nice. It was raining so most of the animals were staying inside. The ski walk was amazing! We were pleasantly surprised the admission was included in the zoo admission. The forest from up above was a unique experience. You could smell the trees and feel them sway enough to move slightly under your feet as you walk. I would definitely return!

a wonderful experience of contact with nature if you are close to Eureka, the giant trees, the walkways, and the well cared for animals. The red panda is beautiful.

Nice small zoo. Went to ck out the new Redwood Sky Walk. Really worth the ticket price along. Enjoyed the red panda, and the goat petting area. There is a rose garden on the same block. Check that out and make your trip here even better. Enjoy

I had a great time exploring this small zoo amongst the enormous and magnificent trees. The skywalk is beautiful and I’m glad I got the opportunity to see the forest from that perspective. Lots of cute animals. The bush dogs, otters, red pandas, spider monkeys, and all the animals in the petting area make for a great experience especially if you have small children.

  • 5/5 Pascal D. 2 years ago on Google
What a really nice little zoo. Kids loved it. Great staff, great food nice gift show. It was all reasonably prices. And there is a big playground and park next door. And the sky walk was amazing. My 8 year old daughter and I did it. But we were both sad it was so short. I hope you guys make it a bit longer.

  • 5/5 Andrew W. 2 years ago on Google
Don’t come here with the expectation that this will be your typical Zoo experience. The big thing here is the Redwood Sky Walk. Take your Time with the sky walk read all the signs, stop and listen to the birds. Take in the fact you are 100 feet up in a tree that grows 300 feet tall! If you run through the zoo sure you can see it all in 20 min or less. However take time to see everything you might just spend two hours here. Most of the redwood skywalk is accessible. I found the barnyard exhibit fun to explore as well.

  • 5/5 Karin Y. 2 years ago on Google
It is a very little zoo, but we had fun and enjoyed a very sunny day, we stayed there for about 3 hours.

  • 5/5 Steffani M. 4 months ago on Google
We went on a rainy day and had a blast. The park is smaller but that means you can stop and enjoy what they have for longer. There weren’t many people there likely because of the weather, but there were plenty of opportunities to get out of the rain. The skywalk was incredible, and the otters were super playful. Very highly recommend making this a stop

  • 5/5 Rebeca 4 months ago on Google
Beautiful little zoo, and the redwood skywalk was amazing! All the enclosures were very clean and pretty. The only downside is that for a out of town visitor the price is quite high.

  • 5/5 Janine M. 2 years ago on Google
Perfect for families or if you really love raccoons & ravens (like myself) If you find yourself stuck in less than ideal weather, the Sky Walk gives an amazing Redood experience among the branches with suspended bridges.

  • 5/5 nancy m. 1 year ago on Google
Worth the trip, the zoo is pretty small but very clean and educational/kid friendly. The sky walk is a must of your in the area, it's a beautiful walk that'll give you a different perspective of the forest. definitely recommend

  • 5/5 Sunny D. 10 months ago on Google
It’s a nice zoo with some good animals and a barnyard. People usually come here for the skywalk, but the zoo itself is fun as well, especially for kids. The tickets include the skywalk. Come here with 3 hours so that you can enjoy the animals and the skywalk. I generally don’t like animals in cages, but I read that they are mostly rescued animals… well I hope. The cafeteria is great and has some amazing options. We had ice-cream and we also had some sandwiches. They were really good.

  • 4/5 John K. 5 months ago on Google
Visited this zoo with my granddaughter. As zoos go, there aren't many animals. Highlights would be the red panda and the flamingos. Also a few bears. They do have a petting zoo with goats and sheep. The skywalk is really nice, maybe the best part of the experience. I knocked a star off for the entry fee, not at all a good value.

  • 5/5 Brenda M. 1 year ago on Google
Lots of fun for the entire family, very affordable entrance fee, kids get to interact with gadgets and exhibitions, they also have a petty zoo for all ages. Inside the zoo you can also experience the Redwood Sky Walk.

  • 5/5 Sarah H. 9 months ago on Google
Skywalk was worth the price of admission. Im not.great with heights, but this felt secure and safe. The otters and petting area were the best parts of the zoo. We spent about 1.5 hours. The only issue I had was wanting to purchase adult clothing souvenirs and there were none available. Parking was free.

  • 5/5 Nai S. 8 months ago on Google
The Skywalk is a beautiful and scenic experience. We arrived late morning and it was crowed so we returned a couple of hours before closing and we had most of the place to ourselves. The zoo is small and there's not much to see, but I definitely recommend anyone to visit the Skywalk if you're in the area and able to.

  • 5/5 Maura B. 7 months ago on Google
This was a great time! We came here with our 3 young kids while we were waiting for dinner time to come on our vacation in the area and would recommend checking it out if you have a couple/few hours on your hands! Wouldn’t really recommend planning to spend the whole day here as the exhibits are smaller when you think “zoo” you may expect more depending on your local zoo experience but the redwood skywalk was definitely worth admission! We loved this experience. It felt like we were in Star Wars with the Ewoks. 🥰🥰🥰

  • 2/5 Josue M. 8 months ago on Google
I struggled with this but in the end I’m rating as a zoo. The zoo was bad, there was two bears, horses, alpaca, an ostrich a monkey and that’s really all I saw. The zoo is really small and not much going on for it, it was definitely not worth the $25. However, their main attraction was the skywalk which was very awesome BUT still not worth the $25pp. I would not go back nor really recommend it

  • 5/5 Lucia N. 11 months ago on Google
I love this zoo. You can tell they take very good care of the zoo and keep it very clean. The Skywalk was very pretty and mostly wheelchair accessible (there's a part where you'd have to turn around). The petting zoo was also very cute. I was too early to see their bears, but the enclosure was big.

  • 4/5 Jimmy H. 8 months ago on Google
It's a nice zoo, not particularly big however. The skywalk is okay (depends if you like heights or not!) and there aren't that many animals but bald eagle and the flamingos were certainly a highlight. Parking is on the street out front. I think if you are in the area it is worthwhile to stop but I wouldn't specifically go out of the way to come, I couldn't imagine spending more than a couple of hours here.

  • 5/5 Suvadeep B. 10 months ago on Google
This zoo is smaller compared to the larger well known zoos. However, this was a perfect visit for a lazy weekday afternoon. My 11 month daughter enjoyed it a lot. The river otters are very friendly. Watching Winky the spotted owl up close was a fascinating experience, given that these owls are really endangered. The petting zoo is a top attraction for the kids, I saw. And last but not the least, the special attraction is the Redwood skywalk, at a height of 100 feet from the ground among the redwoods. It's really a unique experience and should definitely be tried.

  • 5/5 Vanessa 11 months ago on Google
Such a cute little zoo. I loved the red panda. The sky walk was also pretty amazing. It does get cold up there so take a jacket! It was also very inexpensive if you have your California EBT card with you.
