If you are looking for a hotel to just pass the night whiles travelling through Amanokrom or just attending a funeral in Amanokrom and don't feel like going home then Osenpon is great. I have a few reservations but hey, it's a hotel in a sort of rural area. Stepping into the hotel I noticed that all the rooms downstairs had their keys on the door outside. Going into the room, there was nothing special. AC and water was working in my room but same couldn't be said for my colleagues in another room. The furniture in my room looked old. There were visible markings on the wardrobe in my room. Underneath the bed in my room was dirt. The bathroom was also not special. A shower, WC. The hotel didn't provide towels in the bathrooms. The toilet in my room did not look clean and the shower didn't have a hot option, if you wanted hot water you would have to tell the receptionist who would then boil water for you. But hey, like I said in the beginning, this is not a hotel in Accra, so it can be managed. All in all, an ok place to pass the night.

Great staff and all. You just have to ask for everything before you get it and that's truly poor on their side.

We went to Amanokrom searching for a man called Kay and we never found him but we had a great time. The hotel is good value. There is no WiFi, though. There's a lovely big dining room. Breakfast cost extra but it was 150 ghs a night for the room and only 15 ghs for the breakfast so that was fine. We got the usual bread and omelette and tea/coffee/Milo. They had a well stocked fridge downstairs with a good selection of drinks. The rooms are big and bright with good ac and fans and a fridge. The shower was really good. The whole bathroom was big. I had plenty of room to wash and dry my clothes inside. The staff were really lovely and helpful. They helped us when we needed to pick up a prescription by phoning the pharmacist and making sure they had what we needed, and helped us with drivers. There is really cool art work all over the hotel on pillars and walls. The whole place feels spacious and airy and lovely.
