Although
this
zoo
has
been
at
its
current
location
since
the
late
1950's,
it's
kept
up
to
date
fairly
well
in
spite
of
showing
its
age
here
and
there.
Having
visited
yesterday
(08.17.20),
there
were
of
course
the
limitations
of
various
exhibits
due
to
Covid-19,
but
it
was
still
a
nice
visit
with
plenty
to
see.
If
you
get
hungry
while
you're
there,
visit
the
Wild
Burger
joint
near
the
small
mammals
building--decent
food
and
portion
sizes
for
the
price,
but
mainly
because
there's
a
really
nice
seating
area
next
it
that
has
a
heavy
tree
canopy
and
lots
of
picnic
tables,
which
is
a
cool
and
relaxing
place
to
eat
and
relax
before
going
through
the
rest
of
the
zoo.
Given
that
the
hours
of
the
zoo
are
9:30
am
-
3:00
pm
right
now,
you'll
be
able
to
see
most
things,
but
likely
not
all
of
it...especially
if
you
opt
for
taking
a
ride
on
the
train.
If
there's
a
gripe
that
I
have
about
this
zoo,
it
would
be
the
dinosaur
exhibit.
I
think
it's
a
bit
ridiculous
to
be
charging
$3
per
person
for
a
separate
admission--especially
considering
that
this
exhibit
is
one
of
the
few
that
the
zoo
has
NOT
done
a
good
job
keeping
up
to
date
(it's
not
even
entirely
functional
anymore).
It's
old
(opened
in
the
early
00's),
it's
lame,
and
it's
a
rip-off.
The
"dinosaurs"
are
as
corny
as
the
old
animatronic
characters
at
the
old
Showbiz
and
Chuck
E.
Cheese
pizza
parlors
IMO.
Save
your
money
and
go
see
the
real
animals
instead.
All-in-all
though,
it
is
a
nice
zoo...and
even
with
Covid-19
restrictions
right
now,
it's
a
nice
place
to
spend
a
day...especially
if
you
have
kiddo's
that
desperately
need
some
time
outdoors.
