There is audio commentary and two different immersive audio visual parts. The church immersive audio visual is talking about history while the pirate one is more targetted to kids, which is great! Kids need these things to get hooked on history so even tho I don't have kids it made me happy to know there is something like that here! We were there alone so it was perfect, not sure how it is if its crowded (maybe it never is). The immersive parts are structured so if you miss the beggining you're locked out and you have to wait for next round. The wait is under 10 minutes so no big deal but something to consider if you have kids.

It is a small castle but if you buy the 10€ entrance with audioguide you will be impressed. It will nicely take you around the whole castle. The audioguide will play automatically after you enter the room, depending in which room you are. The end is a projector presentation inside the chapel. It's about the history of the castle and pirates who lived there. That was very nice and elevated the whole castle tour experience. Oh and of course there is a view of the hills and coastline. It's a 10-15 min walk from the Castedefells train station.

Beautiful castle. We didn't know it was closed so couldn't get in, but we enjoyed a lovely walk along the gardens surrounding the castle

It's open again! June 18, 2021 . We had a really nice tour that was virtual in a way. They give you a handset with translations in many languages. Synced with sounds from videos and a great view up top. Very interesting history, well done. It's open again!

Something to do with children as the pirate experience is great, the castle is kind of small. Staff is very nice and friendly, they could have an special price for people from the town

Historical landmark, interesting how such an old place that was converted to a defensive castle to protect and hide from the pirates. The Pirate amusement is fun, and the place is worth a visit.

Couldn't get in, we were late, but the park around it is nice for a quick picnic or just walk or evening run.

Lovely place, with wonderful views, it gives you an opportunity to relax, get some fresh air and learn about the history of this place, not only from the castle itself, but also the whole town. Bring some comfortable shoes and take the panoramic route to get a taste of a mountain hike right in the heart of this lovely town

Beautiful place! The beach is nice, the centre is nice and also the mall. The restaurants and bars are good spots to eat and drink and just to hang around. Lets not forget the nature and mountains where you can walk and enjoy the quitness. Transport to Barcelona and other places is easy. There is a trainstation and busses that you can go with to different places.

Head to the beach for the day, into town after five and enjoy the evening when everything really turns up and out. Head into Barcelona via the train that runs from morning till midnight. It's cheep and only a 20 min ride. Beats driving into that mess. Perfect location to set up a base camp to explore the surrounding cities, parks and other sites from. Everything you need to make it a pleasant stay can be found here. Camping, Parking, Rentals, Bars, Restaurants, Shopping...A+

Holiday season started at Castell... Beautiful magical garden (Bosc encantat) is set on the grounds with light work of fairy tale characters/symbols and amazing music to go with.... Our castle is magical and full of surprises every time I visit! Thanks to our municipality and beautiful passionate people who does the work!

Spectacular experience on the pirates multimedia exhibition. This is how it's done. Interesting for both kids and grown ups. Interesting and interactive content. The location is beautiful and the church has also an amazing presentation. Congratulations for this great surprise. We hesitated to buy the tickets as they're not cheap, but we would have missed it if we didn't visit, and the kids will take a great memory from this.

Before climbing the way to castle, check out the gym outside in the open air. When up, don't miss the view around. Before visiting, you can check the timing of the castle.

A nicely renovated small castle. When we were there, in September, it said it was open Saturday and Sunday, at least. It's free in, and you can have a wander around part of it. It's renovated, but empty. The are no castle-y decorations or furniture. There's some info about the castle and it's history and toilets. It's in a park, which was fine, but undergoing huge renovations (Sept '18) and perhaps had water damage from recent rain, so the place felt kind of battered. Google doesn't take the roadworks/renovations into account, which means you have to take the long way around which is confusing. I'd visit if I was in the area, but wouldn't travel just to see it.

Interesting guided tour given Sundays at 12:00, in English and Spanish language. However, incorrect information on both website and in the brochure (it says English tour at 10:30) caused us to arrive almost two hours early.
