A wonderful sushi place in Downtown Beirut. Excellent food, excellent service, and excellent atmosphere.

A Japanese restaurant with a huge menu. It is difficult to kept rack of the items and what you would like to eat. On the higher end of the price scale but not overly expensive. The service is very efficient but I would not say friendly, very get on with it service. The food was good and the portions not bad. The atmosphere was a little lacking and felt a little boring. But it is a place to try if you like Asian food. Th behave terrace on the side of the road for outdoor dining.

Clean, lovely decor and quick service. An extensive menu, food was fresh and tasty. The dishes that stood out the most were the crispy salmon salad, the salmon skin maki and the fresh salmon maki. Although food was good, there was nothing exceptional for that price range.

I am a customer of Kampai since it’s opening. I really love the outdoor area it is amazing. When it comes to the food, kampai has proved that the quality is always getting better and better throughout time. The staff are very friendly and professional.. I like to order their crispy crab salad, crispy salmon salad.. and from the sushi menu, I like the white shrimp, Eel such and caterpillars sushi. I am rating only the food that I mentioned.

Edit: what was once one of the best (and priciest) sushi restaurants in Beirut. After a great dining out experience for me and my mom on Mother’s Day, both of us got food poisoning. The morning after can only be described as atrocious.

First of all great location, one of the best areas of beirut. Great food, very fresh and high quality ingredients. 5 star service, abbas was great and very knowledgeable and confident about the menu. Prices are expensive

The food here is sooo good and fresh. I tried so many things and nothing was bad. The presentation of the food is also really nice and the resturant is modern and fancy. One downside would be the prices, but I went in a large group so splitting the price made it okay.

Overpriced for the quality of the food served. The taste was not that wow as i expected (after seeing the high ratings). Presentation was super normal, nothing fancy, the tempura was very useless and tasted bad. The ambiance was boring, tables were so close to each other, no music and super noisy. Will definitely not go back again. I have tried better sushi places with affordable prices.

My husband called and had a reservation. When we arrived the crew was confused to let us in or no they said we can’t let you in I said we called you guys they said okay welcome and then after 2 minutes a man came and said I am sorry the sushi bar is closed for 2-3 hours if you want to and come back because the chef having his break. That’s soooo unprofessional at least call us back and apologize we wouldn’t come all the way to you guys it was our first and last experience with you.

I think Kampaï is Over-rated! The food and the portions are OK compared to the price. I recommend other restaurants for the same price range. And there are a lot of sushi places in Beirut with better food and lower prices.

It was my first time visiting Kampaï and it was a wonderful experience! We ordered the crispy salmon salad and I should say it was the most delicious one I have ever eaten. The Zukury Salmon, the Scallop Yuzu and the Sushi were also very good. But if you want something special, I suggest you order their specialty: Chef Zhao's dumpling selection.
