A
rococo
French
cuisine
restaurant
in
downtown
Beirut.
I
went
there
on
a
winter
lunch
with
a
friend,
it
was
very
cold
and
rainy,
yet
they
had
a
beautiful
heated
terrace
seating
area
overlooking
the
streets,
I
am
sure
in
the
spring/summer
this
terrace
would
be
even
nicer.
L'avenue
is
situated
right
in
the
heart
of
Downtown
Beirut
central
district,
and
300m
away
from
Beirut
Souks.
The
reception
is
nice,
the
seating
and
services
were
elegant.
This
is
a
considerably
expensive
restaurant,
and
you
get
what
you
expect
from
an
upscale
restaurant
of
this
caliber.
I
ordered
crispy
shrimps
and
my
friend
ordered
Escargots
in
Garlic
and
Parsley
Butter
for
starters,
both
were
very
delicious
and
delightful.
Then
I
had
Thai
shrimps
and
my
friend
had
Sole
fish
as
main
course,
my
dish
was
delicious
and
pungent
with
a
hint
of
coconut,
adorned
with
Nigella
sativa
(black
seed)
with
turmeric
spiced
rice
on
the
side.
It
was
tasteful.
My
friend's
sole
was
nicely
presented
before
taking
it
back
for
deboning.
and
later
plated
with
mashed
potatoes
on
the
side
and
lemon
butter
sauce.
We
had
Vanilla
Crème
Brûlée
and
fruits
with
ice
cream
for
desserts.
The
overall
experience
was
pleasurable
and
gracious.
and
service
was
very
elegant.
prices
were
very
high,
but
as
expected.
If
you
are
planning
to
luxuriate,
this
is
a
good
location,
not
so
lavish
yet
very
chic.
