Had the most amazing time at the Metropole restaurant. Service was super fast and the waiters were really polite. There were complimentary snacks to munch on. The steak was well done and tasted good. The fries portion was a lot too. The accompanying sauce was delightful. I should have chosen a different wine though. Didn’t exactly like the recommended choice.

Great place a bit pricey for what they are offer but otherwise it's a great taste, cuisine, and location. Highly recommended to visit.

We've been to Cafe Metropole several times so far. The quality of food and service is consistent and white good. Food was tasty, with several selections available for meat, fish or chicken lovers, and they were all over our table of 12. I had the salad nicoise, with tuna shaves on it. I would have loved to see a bigger portion of tuna, my favorite fish. But all in all, this is not a cheap or inexpensive joint, so you will expect good service and good food. My part seems to have liked and enjoyed their steaks too. I am reducing the rating to 4 stars because of a gentleman smoking a cigar, and everyone around seemed to have suffered from the smell. The waiters we're indifferent to our complaints, and there were 12 of us. He could have easily closed off the door between us, and case even though not solved, but would have helped a lot. Please like and share if you find my review helpful. Thank you.

Easy going , friendly service, probably best side walk cafe in Beirut today, best enjoyed in spring and fall even summer evenings when sitting out is an option .. this is a place to chill , see and be seen .. not exactly a connoisseurs restaurant, if top notch food is what you are looking for, go somewhere else.. don’t misunderstand me, you can have a bite here if you are hungry , but basically this is a side walk cafe .. so bring your friends and enjoy a coffee or a tea.

This restaurant has good on-site coffee... but it could be a little more generous. The food must be served in a more professional manner. The food is delicious. He must decorate the dishes in a professional manner. He must be generous. In its prices,

Over priced and although the menu is in dollars however no machine to accept cards neither they return cash dollars. The pain perdu is not bad but the expectations from this place is higher.

Nice and well educated staff, food in general is good. Pricing is fair relatively to the surrounding restaurants though high to restaurants in lebanon in general.

Had lunch here with my bestfriend. The location is great as you are in the heart of Beirut. Metropole is a legendary restaurant in Beirut, standing since the early 2000’s and has seen it all. The veal escalope is to die for and very much recommended, and the shrimps gyozas are fresh and well cooked. Service was top notch and the vibe was soothing. N.B: it is time to renovate a bit … the chairs and tables are old, cracks are visually upsetting.

Excellent service and the food is always delicious. Try the burger or the steak frites. For dessert don't miss the cheese cake. By the way, their cafe latte might be the best in town.

I visited Metropole 3 times over the last 3 months Food is well cooked and tasty, price are in USD, expensive for local currency (~50 USD per person) but not very expensive versus the setup and the quality if the food Quality of service could be improved and is subpar compared to restaurant standard, servers can be a bit slow and lagging in term of presenting the food Overall great experience would go again

They have maintained their service and quality throughout the years. I would suggest adding some items to the breakfast menu from what they have, for ex the avocado toast. They were super friendly to customize our orders the way we wanted. Would come back to try their famous desserts

Unprofessional welcome, they let customers find a place by themselves. We ordered cappuccino but after 30 min we still didn’t get them. We had to leave. Unprofessional services.

My family came for dinner last night, my youngest niece had food poisoning, (6 years old) my cousin had to get checked into the hospital, my sister and her husband are both suffering, my two other relatives are also in the same situation. I cannot believe we chose to have our Christmas dinner in metropole and have all gotten sick because of it. Horrible experience and will definitely never go back.

Didn’t get a chance to even try them because they said they needed 30 minutes to bring out tea due to a ‘kitchen emergency’. Not sure what’s so difficult in providing some hot water for tea. I believe that was their way of politely rejecting us for just getting tea.

Food was not bad, however very pricy for what you get. They even charge you for bread that you did not even order. a 30$ steak gets very tiny portion of sauce, about the size of espresso coffee, and extra sauce is even $3 more. will not repeat....

The food was consistently great, no bad reviews on the food, the only complain is that the desert wasn’t the best. Other then that great restaurant but note that it’s quite expensive.

They have one of the best goat salads! The burger is very "dry" - the fries are very yummy and crispy The profiterol looks good but are very small - wouldnt recommend Their best desert is the "sphere chocolat surprise"

👍 Tasty food, expensive, attentive staff. We appreciated coming here for our last night in Lebanon.
