I won’t talk much about the place everyone knows how good the shawarma here is, instead here’s a tip for parking since it’s always crowded there and the street isn’t parking friendly. Make two rights after the restaurant(on your left) and you will find a parking across a park from the restaurant. And you can also grab your sandwiches and eat them in the park. Makes for a perfect experience for what is a perfect shawarma.

I don't know what's the hype about this place all about. I visited it several times and always the same quality of food. Less than average shawarma and bad service always. I do understand that people used to like it since it was a cheap place with big food portions but last time the food was not delicious at all, the service was bad, the staff was rude and the portions were very small. The reduced the sandwich size to 1/3 now a grown man needs 3 sandwiches maybe more to get full. Not to mention that the price taking into consideration the sizes is very expensive for what is being offered.

A 5 Stars Shawarma ! The Best Shawarma in Lebanon Chicken/Meat

This was a happening spot with a lot of traffic. The staff were kind and willing to help me as an English speaker. This restaurant was nominated for best sandwich in the world. That is quite the bold claim! I don’t think I would give it such a rank, personally, but it was unique and was an enjoyable meal. It was nice to sit on their patio and enjoy the food. I would return for a simple sandwich meal.

Mediocre at best. Definitely NOT the best shawarma in Beirut nor Lebanon. Those who say that haven‘t had a good shawarma, sadly. Very little thoum, chicken wasn‘t well spiced - this place is way too overhyped and doesn’t live up to it. 👎

Pros: very generous, the sandwiches at least have 300 gram of protein inside. Quick service, and the taste is ok. Good seating area. Cons: Price is high (5 dollars for a shawarma sandwich), very very dry (both meat and chicken), cashier and employees are unfriendly and they rarely smile. A good shawarma, but definitely not the best in the world.

The whole experience is very enjoyable, location and setting.. loved it. The service is also brilliant.. everyone smiling despite the heavy traffic. Now to the shawarma.. it is as good as they claimed it it be.. especially the meat shawarma.. out of this world .. so much flavor it will explode in your mouth.. I’m so glad that I finally got the chance to try it

The restaurant is OVERRATED. The taste of sandwiches of meat and chicken shawarma are below regular. Their attitude is not friendly. You cannot taste the actual taste of chicken because of the huge amount of garlic mayo in the sandwich. Just got to other Shawarma restaurants and their sandwiches will taste better. And by the way, it is not the TASTIEST sandwich in the world.

In my opinion this shawarma is over rated and the price of this sandwich is the most expensive in town around $6. The portion you receive is big and the sandwich is really full. The taste is really normal and nothing special other than any normal place. So to be given the most tasty sandwich you should really have something special. Anyway, you can give it a try but I wont go there if i am craving for shawarma.

When you say the tastiest shawarma sandwich, you definitely say Joseph restaurant. The unskipable shawarma sandwich is a must when you are in the Beirut. They nailed the tastiest sandwich in the world certificate in 2015 and trust me, it's worth it. Staff are amazing and the atmosphere is so genuine. We had a beef and chicken mix shawarma platter and it was on a next level.

Restaurant Joseph is one of the OGs in shawarma in Lebanon. The owner is very friendly and generous. The chicken shawarma was my favourite. The shawarma is full of flavour as you can taste the fresh produce in each bite. Locals and tourists should come and try this amazing food. You will not be disappointed! Highly recommend!!

Ranked as the best shawarma in the world is exaggerated, to be honest they make delicious wraps but they aren't the best Shawarma in the world, King Shawarma in Glasgow is the best around the world. They are generous and their Shawarma is Tasty as well.

Nothing special... The meat quality is good though. Were out of chicken and didn't wanna wait.

If you are successful and you want to maintain this success , you have to be humble. Although the Shawarma is delicious the owner and the staff members have a dry treatment with customers and they aren’t friendly.

Best Shawarma I ever tasted.

Before 2019 the quality was good and taste But unfortunately day by day it get worst . The chicken shawarma honestly I couldn't finish the sandwich. It is dry and rancid smell ( زنخة) For the service I'll give it 3 stars though the cashier not the best Atmosphere it is normal

King of beef shawarma, most delicious shawarma u can eat, now he became expensive, regarding a 2 bite sandwich.

Extremely overrated!!!! In comparison Barbar shawarma or Khalife is way jucier and more delicious. The guy at the cashier was very rude and didn't want to sell us chicken shawarma saying that it is already sold out. Minutes later 5 customers came after us and he sold them chicken shawarma. Very weird vibe!

At time of visit place was crowded, there is always a wait to get served. Normally is a take away shop with sandwiches despite having other options. It is fairly clean not the best can improve with the preperation of the shawarma sandwish. Shawarma Chiken was nice small a bit and fairly priced not the best price out there. Chiken was soft some pieces where raw but fairly good. Shawarma meat was better despite being soaked in grease. Place is recommended.

Exceeded my expectations. Tasty beef shawarma, clean, and great service. Would go there again for sure. Finding a parking spot can be tricky, but double parking seems to be fine.
