This place deserves the five stars rating. Very delicious breakfast and they serve the breakfast even on late hours. I went at 2 PM to have a breakfast and they were happy to help. Thyme mankosha is highly recommended. The orange juice is very fresh, the bread and the salads. Eggs with qawrma and fried eggs and they serve sheep tongues dish 😍😍😍

😍Rating: 5/5 😍Experience: One of the best places for a yummy breakfast in Lebanon. Place is very nice, beautiful comfortable interior with a friendly and welcoming staff. Located in the heart of beirut area Kantari street, this places offers a wide variety of traditional lebanese breakfast. The food was really yummy and tasty and prices are average and acceptable compared to what they offer. Highly recommended 👍👍👍👍👍

The place to go for a very fresh and tasty traditional lebanese breakfast. Very generous portions. Their specialities are heavenly good and the cozy ambience is lovely. Totally recommended!! We ordered fattet hummus, eggs eith awarma, foul with veggies, kafta with hummos, bulgarian cheese in sauce and veggies. 50$ for 2.

I had eaten many times here previously when I lived in Beirut and food was always exceptional. However during my last visit while visiting Lebanon I contracted a bacterial infection after eating fattet tongue and foul. I was sick for 10 days and required antibiotics.

Very cozy and amazing place to study. The drinks are very good. Wifi is very strong I recommend students to come here! They also have glass barriers for corona which is convenient.

This Restaurant came highly recommended. The physical space is neat, clean and appealing. The food presentation is well done. The service is excellent. The quality of the products used are fresh and well presented. I ordered the special foul the Manoushi with fresh zaatar and the Bulgarian cheese dish. Pictures will be attached. My comment on the dishes that I had is there were so many contradictory tastes in the food that it lost a lot of its original expected taste. As an example, the Manoushi. had so much pomegranate molasses drizzled on it that it over powered the taste of the zaatar and also made the Manoushi soggy. The foul taste is also lost with all the condiments that are on top. The simplicity of this traditional food is lost in this chefs interpretation. I will not comment on the other dishes because I did not try them. I am sure that if we had made other choices we might have been more pleased.

Good food, price is a little high. Service was not that good. You had to call the waiter for your order. However 4 stars well earned.

Great hospitality, great presentation and a yummy taste of food! Try to order the original “fatte” it’s very tasty! The grilled Haloum is also very delicious! It’s a good place to enjoy your breakfast or brunch! Recommended!

Other than it's fancy obvious name giving a sense of modernization in the middle of one of the fanciest areas in Ras Beirut, I definitely wouldn't recommend having foule here. It's overpriced and compared to heavyweights in this specific kind of traditional breakfast they are still far from reaching a standard of places like El Sousi, El Walid, or even El Sharief.

The place is calm and very well decorated with an excellent service. Impressive food presentation, wide varieties of lebanese breakfast dishes that are rich in flavours and prepared with fresh ingredients. Never to forget the tasty green zaatar man'ouche! Yet the veggie omlette wasn't so great. Fatteh and foul were excellent!

You want foul this is the place! Such a cute little place with the sound of running water in the background. We ordered the ‘foul special’ and the Bulgari cheese which were both amazing! They give you all the vegetables and breads etc

Great Lebanese food, beautiful clean setting, friendly helpful staff - what more can I say? Definitely would recommend to anyone for a visit! The food was amazing, so fresh and authentic. One of the staff was celebrating her birthday and they shared the cake with us too. Such friendly and professional staff, and they are happy to answer any questions and cater to dietary needs as much as possible.

Great lebanese food, this place is a good choice for a brunch or lunch. Foule, fatte with its varieties are really good and freshly cooked. Also, they have all kind of lebanese Meza. Zaatar ma2nouche is really special here.

First time visiting after seeing so many blogs about this place, thought I would give it a try while in the area today. They have a good big menu with a variety of dishes, we ordered 3 plates. The food looked presentable, however the taste was very bland, you could not taste anything really. We also ordered ayran it tasted nice but it was hot therefore couldn’t really enjoy it, it needed some ice cubes. The staff were prompt and professional. However, the food taste needs to be improved. I would not come back as there are many other option’s available with better quality tasting dishes in the area.

Went there with for a late breakfeast brunch, place is nice, clean, staff is friendly. However we only ordered litterly 3 plates foul, fatteh , msabaha and 3 lemonade. I found the bill quite expensive for "foul" plates. Concerning the taste fatteh was really good the other plates had lots of lemon juice... Overall i think if you are a tourist a good place to go, for locals you better to go for the local/ popular casual restaurant

The food was really wonderful and tasty and we ordered a variety of plates (lahm asfour, nekhaat, liver, makanek, soujouk, foul, humus beiruty, green thyme salad, rocca salad, fatteh with lamb tongues, eggs with kawarma, kashtaleyye, debes,...).The service was awesome and we had a delightful waitress. The restaurant's atmosphere is attracting and this makes it more than a dinning place. The prices are reasonable and affordable...Planning for another visit is a must and keep in mind not to forget tasting the YUMMY mafrouke.

The service is beyond exceptional, the taste of the food is amazing. The twist and the variety in the menu is outstanding. Highly recommend for group breakfasts in the heart of Beirut and it has a parking nearby.

I had eaten many times here previously with my friends. the service and food was always exceptional. However during my last visit. My friend and I noticed that the food was not good enough like the previous times. Even though, the staff are friendly, the service still good, and the presentation is also perfect . Additionally, it’s overpriced for breakfast. It’s not bad but also it’s not highly recommended.

This is the place where "Foule" once a popular street food turns a lot more sophisticated. This place welcomes you with more than one main dish that took the spotlight. As you enter la foule  You will be welcomed by a friendly and well-informed staff. At la Foule , you can adjust the fava beans(Foul) according to your own taste , specialities such as lamb tongues and Liver were both up to standard ,lamb tongues were soft and juicy while as the liver where drizzled with our famous pomegranate molasses upscaling its taste. Highly recommended for its Taste/Cleanliness/Ambience

Well I don’t know how to say this without over selling this place it has great food, great presentation & nice deco. It’s very good breakfast restaurant that has authentic Lebanese breakfast food.

  • 5/5 Tarek E. 4 years ago on Google
The name might lead you to think that this place makes street food pretentious but it does not! It's a nice place but the food is delicious and up to expectations. La Foule sources its veggies directly from a farm in Akkar so their veggies are full of taste. Their foul, hummus, fatteh, etc are great in generous portions and continuously refilled hot bread!

La Foule is the most important restaurant in the area, and when you visit it, you see that it is one of the cleanest restaurants because the owner pays attention to the finer details and monitors the performance of the staff. I visited the restaurant and it surprised me in terms of bean and hummus meals and the excellent service I recommend and there are also other types of delicious dishes.

Very good quality food, and nice friendly staff. The prices are very reasonable. Definitely recommended. I wish If there was alcohol, the type of food they serve goes well with Arak. Also, it's a personal choice, so i don't like it when some restaurants owners impose their cultural views.

👍 A very small place on the side of the road with above average Asian dishes. They do Indian, Thai and other South East Asian cuisine. The place is very small with seating in the road for about 20 people but they do many deliveries. The atmosphere is nothing to mention as it is a road side restaurant....
