Probably one of the worst universities in lebanon in terms of building a career. I Personally spent 7 years in BAU from Msc to PhD, was offered no teaching hours while all other universities force PhD students to teach, not mentioning receiving no graduate assistantship, while other more junior with lower qualifications and GPA do. I was studying a PhD course being taught to the class by a masters student. Descrimination is very obvious between student, and the entire university is well tailored towards money. No room for research no mentoring no workshops nothing. Payed lots of money for a paper certificate that allows you to do nothing without experience that BAU offers you none. The academic staff as well as administrative is mostly weak and not in their right places, I mostly found myself asking how the hell did they get employed!

Disgusting university. There is absolutely no respect between students & the employees of the university. We students are viewed only as their source of money & try to get every dollar they can out of us. We are always disrespected. Their priority is getting paid. While we always get the short end of the stick in every single situation. If you plan on applying to this university, please reconsider your decision & apply anywhere else where at least you'd be considered human. My friends many faculties told me that they accept more students than their limit just to gain the tuition, & then do everything they can to have that student out of the faculty. & since theres more students than the limit, they're always short staffed or missing equipments & you always get the short end of the stick.

A beautiful looking university with a very bad system, doesn’t worth the money at all, non-qualified staff and a lot of non-qualified professors who can’t even articulate correctly. They don’t give you a diploma in your field if you don’t take an exam of IC3 which is designed for IT people mainly, not for future medecines for example...

They see students as costumers and not as a part of their family like they appear to be, their main interest is people's money

My rating is only based on my experience with administration and doesn't reflect the academic level of the university which is pretty decent. Excessively complicated administrative procedure that make the student life as hell. The majority of employees are mean and unhelpful and most of time you cannot overpass the security' army to make any inquiry ( i don't know why do they need this number of security guards). No information desk and no one answer your phone call.

Friendly university, contains a variety of faculties and specialties including medicine , There is one medium sized newly equipped gym, medium sized garden , football court, basketball parquet courts, 2 outdoor basketball courts. Overall it was a good experience studying medicine there.

I studied at this university from 2012 to 2016, it was a wonderful experience with respected and wonderful professors. I also made many good friends there. Then I came to Canada, but this university left in me a lot of love and peace. Thank you Beirut Arab University Thank you dear Beirut
