    They literally NEVER picked up to any of my phone calls. NEVER. I keep waiting and waiting listening to the operator and no one ever answers. It's honestly tragic. What type of council is that? Tragic.

    I was unable to attend the IELTS exam due to roads being blocked by angry protesters who were attacking any car with Syrian plates, and the council refused to reschedule my exam. And they are well aware that I was travelling from a neighbour country to attend the exam but still they want me to pay all over again if I wish to reschedule for my test. That is just unfair.

    I have been calling for a month, daily, three times per day and no one answers, I have sent emails and no one got back to me, and there isn't even a possibility to book an appointment to visit the center to get the grades. SHAMEFUL

    Very aggressive stuff, bad listening tools at all especially at UOB. Stuff need to be trained on communication skills and on solving problems with the sound system. Waste of money, just have to book another test at a different place. DO NOT RECOMMEND !!

    I am trying to call as usual no response and when I came to the center , you are not helping us always the answer check the website ... we are checking but we aren’t finding a solution for our problem ... i want to make an ielts exam but all the seats are fully booked before the big explosion and i am still waiting a reply if there is ability to do or you will open extra exams because of the situation in our country Please at least answer our phones ... don’t let us wait for nothing Thank you

    I asked for a refund 3 months ago. I didn't receive it yet. No one is answering my emails or my phone calls, and on top of that all I receive an email today saying that my registration was canceled because I didn't provide the necessary documents or because the test center has not received the test fee!

    The phone service is terrible the landline isn’t working, you can barely hear anything. All workers on the phone are egyptian and we can barely understand each other. Very disorganised

    They gave us a receipt without mentioning the currency. imagine a receipt without a currency. After checking with them they told me we cannot give u another receipt mentioning the currency. It's totally unprofessional .

    Made it earlier to my appointment than scheduled and thought it would be a hassle or that I'd have to wait a lot but it was the complete opposite. The security lady who takes care of the people arriving was beyond kind, supportive and made everything seamless, despite taking care of another scheduled appointment at the same time. Thank you for a great service, you made it super easy.

    Located in Sama Beirut building. They don't answer on phonecalls, it is better to visit their offices. They have the worst customer service!!

    the absolute worse service ever. Why do you even bother paying for employees when they never answer phone calls? At that point it's better not to operate at all. In addition to that the examiners are super unprofessional. They were laughing and gossiping infront of me like there was no one there and talking about other coworkers.

    Worst service ever! At first I thought they were professional when they helped me deal with a technical issue I had with the first exam, but the more I dealt with them the more I realized that they are absolutely unprofessional. During my first exam I had a technical issue and they promptly registered me for a second exam, yet FAILING to tell me that the first will be void but instead told me I can IN FACT choose between both, what’s worse is when I told them this they basically called me a liar by telling me that they simply talked to the person concerned and just because he/she said that they did inform me then that’s simply true and I’m lying. Wow… it was not even documented in the email just a he said/she said type of situation, as if the employee will ever admit they are wrong. Second of all, during my second exam there was a disruptive student and I filed a complaint in the feedback after the exam thinking it would be enough but apparently it wasn’t. How should I know that the feedback form they provide after the exam would not be enough to portray my unhappiness with the invigilator? But when I received my results and THEY WERE HORRENDOUS, I made it known to customer service that I submitted a feedback and that I did not do well in the exam because of this disruptive person AND the poor handling of this person by the invigilator, they once again made an excuse that there was no formal complaint concerning the matter I complained about, EVEN THOUGH I SUBMITTED A COMPLAINT IN THE FEEDBACK. As if that is enough to dismiss my complaints just by simply telling me “we asked the concerned party and nothing of what you are saying happened” . Never ever ever again to deal with the British council in Lebanon. I will go back to Saudi Arabia where they ACTUALLY WERE PROFESSIONAL TO ME when i did my academic IELTS exam. And finally, it is very very clear that my current scores DO NOT reflect my actual English level! You just need to compare my previous scores and the score I got after the second exam but I guess they didn’t even bother to do a proper investigation.

    it is not necessary anymore to receive people on the stairs, i cannot understand why it is still not allowed for visitors to be welcomed inside the office. Moreover, i didn't get any suitable answers for my questions and i find it is not fair to make it impossible for any test taker to know why he is not getting the mark he was expecting.

    To park my car at Sama Beirut basement parking to visit British Council was a terrible experience. First you park your car in a second row which means you block the way and you must leave the car key with someone but there is no one to take the key from you. So i went down to the second basement and parked there without blocking the way. To go out of the basement, elevators are out of order so i had to walk up the ramp which is difficult especially when you are 65 years old. After finally reaching the ground floor with heavy breath, the parking guy appears and he says "you are not allowed to park in B2, you must move your car to B1". So i had to walk down again to B2, drive to B1 and park in a second row and this time the parking guy was available to receive the car key. Finally i had to climb up the ramp to reach the ground floor exhausted. I advise British Council either to talk to the landlord to fix the elevators of the parking and train the parking guy to guide the visitors, or move to a building with a decent parking!!

    It was a pleasant experience all over , even though we went on a Saturday and employees should be a little anointed working on a weekend , they were really nice , I came with my 2 kids and the security lady was really welcoming and warm while making sure the kids knew the boundaries in place , the teller was also nice and explained everything in a clear way and even showed appreciation cause we brought change , she was calm and friendly , in general the stuff were very nice and it shows they like their job and like to help , I wish I had another reason to go a second time 😁 !

    Helpful employees and quick service. The customers are served according to their numbers. A very secured area with a guard and metal detector outside. Parking underneath the building is 7,000 LBP which is a lot for a few minutes, and it is impossible to park around the building.

    Located in Sama Beirut bldg. 6th floor. Staff is friendly and professional You can either register in their offices or online for the ielts exam and after taking the test you'll get your results in 2 weeks by message (on your mobile phone) Be careful when getting your results to check if they spelled your name right to avoid going there again which was the case with me but they were able to fix it in 10 minutes. Good luck!
