Most amazing sushi place in the area.. TNT, sunset, sienna.. all are amazingly fresh and delicious

I love this place. The sushi rolls are mouth-watering and fresh. They have a lot of variety. I only ordered delivery, they were very generous with the extra wasabi and ginger.

Sushi Star is really a cool place to have sushi in Hamra. Sushi rolls are really delicious and freshly prepared. Salmon and Classico sets are a good choice if you prefer to choose a set rather than by pieces.

The restaurant is good , and the food is great , also the design is very nice

Great value for what you pay for. It's not a very traditional sushi place as there is too much fusion going from different sauces to fruit toppings. The sets are worth getting as they include a variety of options that pleases everyone.

Probably the worst addition to Hamra dining in a while. Photo menu to order from but the items you get served look nothing like the pics. Seriously u logical pricing. A by the piece cost of a cucumber roll is equal to a by the piece price of salmon roll. Servers and managers with an attitude. Even Soto around the corner serves up better sushi and better value.

My new favorite sushi place, went the first time forn an opem sushi, the price is so affordable they have new flavors the bleeding sushi ( strawberry flavor is amazing) the mango, avocados crab and salmon are super fresh. from now on this is my favorite place they also got good offers for the sets. the service is good the pepsi is a bit too expensive i wish its included in the open sushi because my friend and i always drink pepsi :p the place is neat and comfy Visit their place!

The food quality is excellent. The negative parts are: 1. Salad plate and a glass were chipped 2. The exchange rate was 38200 today for the dollar, the bill came in $ and Lebanese at a rate of 39100. The change back was given at a rate of 34000 thou. So be careful, they cheat here .

Bad choice for open sushi because the pieces are too big, you won't be able to taste many different sushi. Besides, each piece is overloaded with different sauces. Too much sauce and sometimes there's a bad small, sea fish smell.

Jnah branch: We ordered a 50pc boat and 2 crazy crab salad It took forever to come to our table (more than 45 mins) and there aren’t a lot of people in the place (there’s a couple and a table of 3 adults and a child) They even got an order to a table that has just arrived 10 minutes after they ordered!

I was eager to try this place as It was recommended. I was surprised since neither the service nor the sushi were appealing in any sense. Regarding service, we waited more than half hour, weren’t well received, were almost paying more, and got no wasabi with the sushi. Regarding sushi, I doubt it was prepared well, I could see the cook was not so happy and the sushi was not really fresh.

I love their shrimp in potato noodle, sooo tasty 😋and appreciate they always warn me about the stair that is too high when you go down. Thank you, this is a very important detail for me!

cool place and kind staff great food

This is the second time I order, and I’m a little bit disappointed. There has been a huge improvement regarding the salmon, unlike last year when I ate here it didn’t smell. The negative aspect is that there was nearly no rice on the rolls, and the the nigiris I ordered were a disappointment. The rice was like a hard lump of dough, which it should not be in sushi, on the contrary it should be fluffy. I wrote a comment in my order that stated to add rice and remove the teriyaki sauce, but it seems like the staff didn’t take it into consideration. The soya sauce should also be salty but instead I found it to be sweet which effected the taste of all the sushi pieces. My order also took 1 hour to be prepared and delivered although it was only 20 pieces. Overall the sushi was okay but not worth the price.
