We had a wonderful time and experience in the Hamadeh Palace. Talaat, the great grand father of this very important Lebanese family in the Chouf, showed us around the property and helped us understand the history and the heritage beautifully maintained in this palace. Talaat is a historian and we are eternally grateful for the time he spent with us providing us all this information. The palace itself is lovely and peaceful. Don't miss on your visit to the Chouf.

One of very few well preserved castles in the Shouf area of Mount Lebanon. Belonging to a renowned family that traces its roots back hundreds of years. It has been the seat of many great leaders that ruled the region during the Ottoman period and later on was a home to many successful public figures. It is well curated by a member of the family that has kept a detailed record of it's history, along with artifacts and historic documents.
