We did order one kg of the mix baklava from the USA. They add a lot of sugar and in many of the packed small single pieces you can see extra sugar sirop. The idea of packaging each piece is not bad but I prefer one package for all of them. Price+ quality + shipping is convinient but next time I will buy from Michigan they have much better quality!

To end the year on a sweet tasty note, we ordered for an office breakfast: -Lahm b ajin: they came a bit soggy however major point for me was them forgetting to add the debs reman, come on guys it does not work without it, such things should not be forgotten :( -knefeh: i love their bread as it does not cover the taste of the stuffing, would be good if u also provide with delivery a serving of syrup since it tends to absorb it all till it is delivered Else neat packaging and very high ingredients used, just note the small details

Hallab is the best for me if you want to eat sweet in Lebanon. However I am used to have a better service in Byblos and Tripoli branches. I ordered a cake and I asked to be delivered at 11:20 am it arrived at 11:45 am. And the worst thing was the girl on the call center it took her too much time to take the info and when I asked her about Cake’s names she didn’t help that much. I wanted the special cake’s names and not just “forêt noir” and “mousse chocolat”.

A very serious incident took place on 2 March 2022. My fiancé and I had a Knefe bjeben, from this Branch, and we both got food poisoning! We are sure it is from the knefe, as first the knefe was not fresh, the employee used a microwave to reheat it !! and second, we didn’t have anything else that day. We both got all the symptoms of food poisoning and almost had to be hospitalized. I have always eaten at various branches, but this is the worst experience I had, in addition to the food incident, the staff was very slow, took them like 10 minutes to make our 2 kaakes, even though the shop was empty. Not trying to get any compensation or apology in return, i just want this to be fixed, as Hallab is part of our culture, and no one should experience what we did.

Scoring an epic selfie on the edge of a cliff overlooking a marvelous seaview is one of the common top 10 things on any tourist's bucket list. High on that list for me, however, sits a Kaaket Knéféh Chmeliyyé with extra syrup: my most spiritually rewarding, overly delicious, 700-calorie temporary mistress my hands get to hold on a cold, rainy day at 8:00am in downtown Beirut. Chmeliyyé means northern, meaning the version done with ashta (clotted cream), as opposed to the Beirut-style, gooey cheese version. Enter Hallab in Hadat: think gloomy & sad without saying gloomy & sad. The last time I stepped into one, Fairuz was happy. A melange of fragrances, rose water, fresh coffee, pistachio paste and orange blossom once greeted your senses before the humans uttered anything. But today, the shrunken Borma portions and the absent Maamoul Madd trays spelled this branch's condolences to bucket lists like mine. No fault of the masters, folks. The country is in turmoil- and it is no time for bashing. But the utter, inexcusable, horrific injury to the once-upon-a-time soft, chewable semolina heritage: Microwaved Knefeh !! What ?! Foreign tourists: On behalf of the orthodox creameries and margarine-producing ancestors of this nation who are spinning in their graves, please accept our sincere condolences for a hallmark brand that just spelled its own demise. Please do not tell Rifaat. He competes, but he won't take this lightly, nor will Fouad El Jerr. Enough madness ! 1881 should be a UN resolution to rescind this branch's access to any form of sugar syrup. But wait, the kaaké survives. It's soft, the best at what it does yet lonely. Get your act together guys: don't mess with the knéféh. The microwave does not belong in shops like yours.

😠 first of all the prices are high for the product taste and quality. second the kaakeh itself should be eaten right away since if you wait a bit till you reach hone and wherever u want to reach it looses taste and stiffens. third , they changed their food components to cheaper ones and kept their pri...
