Nice food, lovely seafood pasta, good service. However, if you want to eat in a quiet place, it's not the place to go, it is very noisy, too busy for my taste.

Please make a reservation before going!!! The place is totally worth the waiting time. The overall atmosphere is great and the food itself is very good. As example, the burger ordered is at Rs325, the burger is good but its not as good as that of miss daisy bistro found in Rose Hill, the dirnk was at Rs120, for 120ml of ice tea and as dessert a chocolate brownie Rs 90, total of the bill Rs550** per person. Dscent but a bit expensive... the burger was totally worth it double patty, really good taste and very filling, but i won't be on the same line for the drink and the dessert. However lack of time, could not taste the starters which were smelling damn good. So I will definitely be back there, with a reservation this time, and have a better taste of the overall menu. **There are pictures of the menu however bear in mind that the prices may vary at your visit.

The place is really beautiful. The staff is friendly, helpful and well mannered. We were impressed by their welcome. Cosy place and deco is wonderful. Perfect place for a date, family gathering, outing with friends or cousins. Food looked great but it was not the best. Presentation of the food was really impressive.

I used to love this place so much. Went there yesterday, the food was really bad. The crispy chicken and crispy calamari were good but the burgers were bad, it was overcooked, salty and chewy. The beef burger was okayish but the lamb burger was horrible. They even served us cold fries. Overall very disappointed. Very sad to see how the service and food quality declined in a year.

Grilled marlin is excellent and unique to the menu of Café de la Presse. It's the one item I always order. Unfortunately I no longer get to visit regularly as I don't work in Port Louis anymore. The classic virgin mojito is one of the best made you'll find in Mauritius. Follows the right recipe with green limes rather than lemons and minimal/no use of additives like Sprite and syrup. A bit noisy but some people like it that way. It is better to book for lunch as the café gets very busy during that period.

I ordered a baguette with smoke marlin and it came cold; the melted cheese in it had time to harden before being served. The chicken burger was okay, but the bottom bun of the burger was humid, perhaps due to the wait as the tomato slice and sauce in it must have dripped. It was not that hot either. I had to ask them to give me my appetizer 40mins in since I did not receive but the chili chicken nuggets were tasty.

Food is okay but service is horrible. Had two bad experiences. Ordered 3 burgers last Saturday, received only two burgers and had to wait almost 20 mins for the third one. Today we ordered 5 meals for lunch, main meal came and the fries which were supposed to come along arrived when we had all finished our meals. The concept and place started well but the standard has completely gone down in terms of delivery and service taking into account that we also pay of their service & price wise - its not the cheapest. Would’ve at least appreciated if we had received an apology on both occasions but it never happened.

Lunch with 4 colleagues yesterday. Not the best of experience! Had I rated CDLP early 2020 (pre lockdown) I would have given them a 5 🌟 rating, but yesterday's service was well under par considering their price point. Food delivery was extremely delayed considering we had pre-ordered; We were 5 and were crammed onto a table for 4; I normally love a coffee and dessert at the end of my meal... Couldn't do this as I would've been late for my next appointment. Altogether a rather harrased experience, for me as a diner and clearly the staff! I would like to go back as the food was okay; I just hope that the management has taken on-board these criticisms in a constructive manner. I'll be really happy to adjust my ratings accordingly.
