Their strategies, albeit unprofessional, inspire a strong emotional response. I believe that with some introspection, this company could improve. Currently, however, I would urge caution when dealing with them. It's a robust learning experience but left me in a frustrating predicament. There's definitely scope for potential but currently, they're lacking in their execution of professionalism and financial responsibility..

Got a fly in my CAPPUCCINO and they acted like i was only pretending to get a free drink?? No apology, and absolutely horrible customer service. They even trash-talked my friend and i in front of us. Do better.

A Mixed Experience at Chelsea's Cup and Cafe My sister and I visited Chelsea's Cup and Cafe for brunch with five kids, and while the breakfast options were limited, the abundance of eggs and chicken didn't quite compensate for the absence of fun items like pancakes. The lack of kids' menu was a significant drawback, forcing my sister to settle for huge portion for the kids, while I opted for a single chocolate croissant for my four-and-a-half-year-old, leading to unnecessary waste. The oversized shakes for kids contributed to additional food and drink wastage, which was disappointing. Despite the decent service, there were delays in getting the food to our table, and a reminder was needed for my child's single chocolate bread order. While service was acceptable, the experience lacked the wow factor that makes a place memorable. The food was basic and failed to stand out, making it questionable whether we'd recommend it to friends and family. Furthermore, the receptionist's indifferent attitude left a negative impression on our overall experience. In the customer service industry, a friendly demeanor is crucial, and unfortunately, this was lacking. In summary, Chelsea's Cup and Cafe provided an okay-ish experience, but with limited breakfast options, lack of a kids' menu, and indifferent customer service, it missed the mark for creating a lasting impression.

So this is the worst EXPERIENCE EVER. My order was 1 Mexican beef wrap It’s was clearly written on the menu that they have onion compote & guacamole in the wrap but same but was missing. May be the cook was lazy today or he was simply hungry he ate it during lunch. We took also one pink lemonade but was undrinkable. No taste at all. We try to figure out what they tried to serve us but still now we are clueless. We took one Coffee Caramel Milk Shake but I think they don’t know milk shake are meant to be served cold not hot and also the milkshake was very bland in taste. Hey thank you for caring for my health I don’t have diabetes so next time put some sweetener in the milkshake…. Ooppss sorry there will be no next time.. We also took a blueberry cheesecake. It’s was on the average. I used to eat at you place but ever since the quality have gone bad I stopped coming. We were very hesitant to come again hoping you have level up the quality but to our surprise it’s worst. But now for the sure we won’t ever come back. We wish you good luck in your mediocrity.

However, service must be improved: We would have very much appreciated recommendations on the cake choice of the day and coffee pairing. The waiters should visit our table at least once, during our one hour stay, to check in on you. Little did we know, we had to walk to the pastry section to have our cake order taken, AFTER we were seated.

(i) we found it insulting that the cashier/person at the point of sale didn't even bother to look at us and kept gossiping with the staff while we were paying. She was giving us the back while we were paying through touch and pay. It was definitely not an experience we would have faced if the previous owners (the two sisters) would still have been here. It's not about service, it's about common decency to speak to someone while they're paying you. (ii) the person who was sat at the table before us swapped table and was still in the restaurant. We kept getting her orders throughout. (iii) we were not even greeted when we got in. We understand it was a busy Saturday, but basic manners are the least. Had we not been hungry, we would have left. Again, the food and coffee were really good but the lack of proper service compared to the previous owners really put us off.

unsatisfied about my second time there. The carrot cake i bought was expensive am talkin about rs+200 for slice. It was not expensive the first time i bought same product at rs+100 (1month earlier) But the customer service was average.

Not impressed by the cakes. Icing very sweet and the cake itself is made with high quality ingredients. But nothing special in my opinion. I tried the butterscotch and red velvet. Maybe I'll give other flavors a try before being firm in my opinion. A good spot to meet up with people over coffee. Would visit again.

It has a nice and friendly environment. Staffs are really considerate, well mannered and clean, they were also wearing gloves and a cap to avoid contact and hair falling in cakes etc... the cakes itself was really tasty I would say they're a little pricy but it's worth the price. There's a lot of different varieties of cakes and donuts to choose from.

Lovely decor, ambience... Courteous staff and amazing food. Specially the coffees and cakes.. Amazing veg menu, salads, wraps and ciabata sandwiches. We ordered the Zuma wraps for the vegetarians and the pesto pasta salad. Also a yummy chicken wrap. The kids had the Oreo freak shake which was amazing according to them. The usual coffees for us. Unfortunately today they didn't have any eggless pastries otherwise all the pastries are absolutely to die for.

It's a lovely little spot but food not so good, didn't try the cakes. Sausages served with breakfast not nice at all, maybe buy better quality ingredients. Bread is hard so not enjoyable. Maybe some of the other meals are better but often first impressions last.

Editing my review today to update people about changes in pricing (one slice of cheesecake is now at rs250 instead of rs190). Also, 1 year ago, clients were given the opportunity to chose either small or large slices. Now, we don't get the choice, which is for me a way of forcing the client to pay more. Overpriced even though good. The service was better before, the lady who served us was quite cold and looked annoyed when we asked about the different flavors served that day. I recommend going there only once in a blue moon. Just for the cakes. Edit No2 as at 20 December 2020: they decreased their prices, a slice at Rs150, dunno if it's because of the covid economic situation or else but find this good. As always, cakes are excellent.

Kindly stop adding sugar and allow the customer to add by themselves if they wish to. The honey itself makes it so sugary. The name Chelsea's Cup N Cake could be as well changed to diabetes shop. The Cinnamon donut is good but expensive for Rs90. After 5 mins eating that I wondered if it was worth it. A person is supposed to consume less than 3 teaspoons of sugar a day.

Tucked in the middle of the shops, it might be a little hard to find. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The price is a little expensive, and I tried their signature chocolate latte & caramel latte, as well as their red velvet cake & chocolate cake. It was average by international standards. I liked the presentation and the interior layout of the cafe and it would probably be a nice place for photos or some afternoon coffee. Be sure to call and make a reservation because this place is always packed even on a weekday afternoon. It is definitely the best cafe I have seen in Mauritius. And probably the only one as well. The butterscotch was just sugary with no real flavour. I tried the worst Black Forest of my life. It was dense and thick and almost 'mud cake ' style. No light airy sponge soaked syrup. Please do not advertise this cake as a 'Black Forest'.

Place is usually crowded and noisy. Staff seem to be overwhelmed. Not always as polite as you would expect. Decor on the other hand is marvellous. The drinks are great- cold and hot. The pastries are also wonderful. If you are more for the taste rather than the experience, this place is totally worth it.

Used to be a very good bistro but since the Serret’s left back to Australia, the quality is flopping drastically. Surprisingly, the cakes are getting bad too. Two times in a row, red velvet dry. It was also humiliating to offer a birthday cake to a friend and the last layer of the cake was burnt. The latter could not cut through the cake completely. I have never been so disappointed. They used to be my go to for birthday cakes, not anymore.
