My first visit to Mauritius and it couldn't have been better! The Belle Mare Plage spoiled us completely and there is definitely nothing I could complain about. Despite its size, the hotel offers a pleasant private atmosphere, the staff is very competent and always super friendly. The food in the different restaurants is top class and the suites are really wonderful. The beach was always perfectly maintained and the guests spread out pleasantly. The 3 championship golf courses belonging to the Belle Mare Plage are great for beginners as well as advanced players and offer great flights in a breathtaking landscape. We are already looking forward to our next vacation at Belle Mare Plage. We will be back definitely!

Lovely resort. Unfortunately let down by the different rules that they follow for customers.. There is a mandatory dress code of trousers and shoes at their restaurants. However felt a bit discriminating ..Happened twice with my husband where they didn’t let him in but we could see others sitting inside restaurant with shorts. And rule just doesn’t make sense as most of the guests were in dirty sports shoes rather than formal loafers/shoes

We are 4 2 adults 1 kid & - 1 infant just check out after 5 nights Dec 2021. Beautiful Resort and some helpful and polite team of employees. Kids club they didn’t follow the giving instructions of activity ever time the cancel the activity and closed the door, basically they were busy with their phone. I come in the exact time which they scheduled , as easy as I till you , open the club and desperate nowhere! Food for breakfast were excellent. Dinner was ok Everything expensive not like any other 5 star hotel. Facilities all available such as bikes & Golf but not free! Excellent view, nice beach. They responsible recipient met us but didn’t welcomed as i saw the hospitality to the white peoples and not giving full answers and didn’t show us or till the hotel facility, even the refreshments when you come they didn’t provided it as well , he was so hurry. Please double check your bills when checked out I found some and used items and they delete it immediately. Thx

Impeccable service from the very beginning and right to the end. Great food, great service, lovely beach and everything is kept pristine. We asked for a water bottle for the toilet only to find that they offered and installed a bidet spray for us within 30 minutes! Shout out to Chef Vishnu for making a personalised Biryani just for me and my husband. Shout out to whoever makes the cakes/Desserts because I think they were some of the best I've ever had in my life! Finally shout out to Azad and Rimla for their service and the rest of the staff!

We stayed for six days in this fabulous resort. Beautiful environment, beach and pools were unbeatable. Service at top notch, the staff were very helpful and welcoming. The only thing we needed to get used to was the speed of serving dinner, it's a little slow for a family with two little boys. Otherwise everything was perfect. We loved the kids club which opens from 9am to 10pm, with a few hours of sanitising break in between. Amazing staff, my son little E adores them so much, he joined their fun activities everyday. We paid for the babysitting service, good price with good service. Good food selections at the buffet. Loved the Mauritius night! Breakfast could be better if there are more local fruits choice? Detailed and Critical Review of Constance Belle Mare Plage: High Self-Set Standards Not Met My stay at Constance Belle Mare Plage revealed a significant gap between the hotel's self-imposed high standards and the actual experience. As a guest with an eye for detail and quality, I found that the hotel, especially in its à la carte restaurants, proclaimed ambitious standards that were not met. The location and the beach are impressive, but the hotel is worn in many aspects and does not match the level it tries to achieve. The reservation system for the à la carte restaurants is inadequate, often leaving new guests with no choice but to eat at the buffet restaurant. This is disappointing and contrasts with the expectations one would have of a 5-star hotel. The wine list is pricey, yet the culinary offerings and service in the à la carte restaurants do not keep up with these prices. When ordering a wine for 200 to 300 euros, I expect perfection in every detail, which was unfortunately missing. Limited opening hours and rest days of the restaurants, as well as the unprofessional preparation of the cocktails, reinforced my impression. The Wi-Fi was inadequate, and the friendly staff in the garden area could not improve the overall experience. The hotel would benefit from a more realistic claim, as the current discrepancy between aspiration and reality is too great. Overall, Constance Belle Mare Plage failed to meet the high expectations it had set for itself. A more modest approach would help to narrow this gap and enhance the guest experience.

We stayed at this beautiful hotel for 7 nights. We were upgraded for a Prestige room facing the ocean which made us very happy. The service provided at the hotel was amazing. The staff took care of all the details and made an effort to answer all the requests, always with a great smile. The food was great however could be a little more diversified at the breakfast buffet from time to time. Saira from the "poached eggs station" prepared delicious Benedict eggs. The hotel is beautiful, very well taken care off. Although it might host dozens of people it's a fairly calm and chill hotel suited in general for people who look for a relaxed vacation, with a great ambience. Hopefully I'll come back.

Definitely 5 stars all the way. It's a real tropical paradise. Beautiful beach, beautiful water, lovely pools, calm and luxuriant surrondings. You can hear the ocean waves fron the room and the birds singing, it is really a relaxing oasis. The staff is so friendly, helpful and nice, they would do anything to please you. You don't have the feeling of going to a crowded space, although there were many tourists checked in. The spa is also amazing, loved the massages and the relaxing atmosphere. The fact that there is no loud music in the public areas or loud shows in the evening makes it a perfect place for enjoying a quiet time. The hotel has some nice activities included in the stay, like glass boat ride, snorkeling, water sports. The food is tasty, diverse and fresh. Maybe some improvment for the coffee would be great, since it's not that tasty. All in all, maybe the best hotel experience I've had so far.

We stayed at room 522 thanks to a free upgrade to sea view suite. We absolutely enjoyed our stay. It's a calm spot with a long beach. We appreciated the activities and the service, especially Jay at Indigo Restaurant. We had full board, which we highly recommend if you're planning to not adventure outside (there's nothing nearby anyway). We also appreciated having a free lunch post-check out. Thanks again and look fwd to coming again.

Great facilities and a lot of complimentary activities such as water skiing, snorkelling, golf intro, kayaking and the use of the spa facilities that are fantastic. The staff was very welcoming, attending to all our needs in a friendly and polite manner, particularly housekeeping and at the restaurants. We enjoyed the cocktail with Management, particularly with the Housekeeping Manager who was truly interested in hearing about our feedback. We definitely would love to come back again!

Wonderful stay on our honeymoon tour. We stayed here a few nights as my husband wanted to take advantage of the golfing at this resort. The courses were great and everyone that worked here were incredibly friendly. We had a lovely dining experience at the Italian restaurant spaggia (although not so good at the blue penny cellar - service was beyond slow). The beaches were beautiful and the water activities were fun.

It is OK, below expectations. Rooms are OK, the view is good (beach front) but the room styles (3 rooms stacked on top of each other, feels like a luxury motel). I was not a big fan. Also it is very busy and the service can get drained, especially at the Indigo pool side. The bar and breakfast service is fantastic, but the music at the bar is poor. They try to bring local bands, but the last one they came in was quite bad. Overall, it seems Constance can be good for some, but it is not my preferred option. The kids club was good, nice staff, my 8 years daughter enjoyed it. The room can be noisy if your neighbor room do not sleep early or have active kids (due to the door between rooms). Our room peep hole was broken for two days, anyone could take a sneak into the room, and sounds from outside were louder. In conclusion, I prefer a better quality and service from a four star hotels in the region (and not necessarily cheaper).

From start to end this hotel was incredible. The staff are all so lovely and welcoming. Service was phenomenal. The entire resort is spotless and the food was delicious every night. We had an amazing holiday and I will certainly recommend this resort to everyone :)

Incredible hotel in Mauritius. Staff could not be more attentive and the restaurants and food are first class. New went all inclusive expecting average wines but the list was as impressive as walking into a Michelin star restaurant. I am not a golfer but the kids thoroughly enjoyed playing and nobody was ever made to feel anything but welcome. Only word of advise is to pick the season carefully as we suffered quite strong winds in August but that is no fault of the hotel. The beach is perfect white sand and the pools superb. I would strongly recommend!

a very good hotel, the staff comes to meet all your needs. the rooms are a bit outdated but who stays in the room when there is such a beautiful landscape outside? the food is very tasty although not very varied. you can do all kinds of activities both in the hotel and outside it. in the assembly, it was one of the most beautiful vacations.

This resort is incredibly nice, clean, and very professionally managed. Most staff were pleasant and out to pleased. Some were not so responsive, but it is due to language barrier as I speak English and the main language in Mauritius is French. The room is big, clean and facing the sea. One can call it a tropical paradise. We were on a golf vacation. There are 2 beautiful and friendly golf courses, The Legion and The Links. Both are a joy to play in.

A very bad service I have ever seen in my whole life, they delayed every single simple thing We came here to celebrate our anniversary and they made it the worst ever.. they don’t care about customers needs and satisfaction only the manager he cares and helps us.. Once we arrived the room was full of ants even the bedsheet and the roof the All furniture contains insects and ants they change it with a room with out working air condition then they bring a fan as a five star hotel solution 🙃🙃🙃🙃.. after 2 days they fixed it We called from 10:30 am to send someone to take our bags and no one till now it’s 12:10 pm Otherwise this time is not a season In Mauritius so there is no huge number of tourist to excuse them bad response .. We will contact with the travel agency to advice them not dealing with this hotel any more 😊

Constance Belle Mare is the nicest resort I've ever been to. The staff is extremely nice and welcoming, they smile and say hi every time. The rooms are spacious, luxurious and there's even a night turndown service. The resort itself has many high-quality a-la-carte restaurants, and a main restaurant where you can have delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner. There are many sun-beds on the beach, and they are also high-quality, made from wood, not plastic like most resorts. The check-in experience was flawless, we were greeted with a cocktail and were soon shown into our room. Overall, I would say that this is easily one of the best resorts in Mauritius, although a bit on the pricier side, I would definitely recommend it to everyone!

I stayed here and the place was pretty much incredible throughout. From the warm greeting and see less check in to the room, size, style, and food. Most of the things you would and could want have been thought of already. The food variety was incredible, the service mostly attentive and responsive. The reason for 4 stars is that we had a couple of issues in the room and despite making the team aware of them, no one responded until the next day. Overall, a great place to stay.

words cant express how much we loved the hotel. From time of check in till time of check out. Big thank you to Chavi who welcomed us and assisted us and instructed us about everything from the room, to the services, to the amenities and facilities around the hotel. The food was splendid, the buffet menu was an absolute fruitful, everyday we discover something new. We didnt have time to have lunch at your previous hotel as we wanted to discover the beautiful island, but when we came back for dinner it was mesmerizing. I thank you all for giving us the best honeymoon experience ever and especially the welcome honeymoon drinks and flavors on the side, that was a beautiful touch. We cant wait to come back and we highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the beautiful island of Mauritius.

Beautiful resort with well maintained golf courses. Staff were wonderful, with the exception of management, which we never saw. The room had a good layout and lovely view, although the a/c did not blow cold. After one sleepless night and two requests, maintenance came and fixed it... A power outage took it out again the next day, another trip by maintenance to fix it. Buffet breakfast was great, loads of selections, but lunches and dinners were a letdown, with a few good choices, but mostly mediocre tasting food. During our short three day stay we received two requests to move our car in their parking lot for grounds maintenance. One call was at 9am while we were trying to enjoy a lie in! Between the a/c issues and the parking, we were inconvenienced too many times... and not even an apology! Not what you would expect from a 5 star resort. All in all, it is a beautiful place which could be wonderful if not for the poor management.

The resort was beautiful and is so luxurious. We stayed for 3 days and it was absolutely amazing. A true luxury experience with great amenities. The resort is huge with world class services. The breakfast buffet had a great selection as well. Absolutely loved our stay.

Great East Coast location with beach front rooms and different pools. Excellent breakfast & dinner buffet and choice of restaurants for lunch. Comfortable clean family rooms and good amenities. Complimentary boat house activities and evening bar & live music were great fun!

Well we did have problems at the beginning, but as they say, it doesn’t count how you start but how you finish. I would like first of all to thank the manager Mr. Jean Francois for trying to solve all the problems in a polite way, I think he is an example of a way a guest relations manager should act. The hotel is very nice, it’s a big and well organized hotel. The rooms are very clean and the cleaning service is perfect. The cleaning service of the rooms is done twice a day, the maid is very polite and helpful, this is a big plus. The tennis courts are well kept and the stuff is very positive. The hotel crew at the beaches is very helpful. The swimming pools are kept in very good condition, so is the hotel’s beach. The breakfasts are very good, although something should be done with the speed of coffee serving and cleaning the tables. A big plus are the Nespresso coffee served in the breakfasts. A big minus is the water sport activities, which in my opinion are not well organized, but as this is an additional service offered by the hotel, it should not lower the overall review. I highly recommend to try the a la carte restaurants, which serve very good food and deliver unique experience for the guests. We had a room located 20 meters from the sea, which is also a big advantage for us. Overall I do recommend this hotel for everyone.

All the staff were amazing, with specific mentions to the individual staff who went out of their way to make our stay so memorable: Sandrine for being very receptive to the needs of our small group and exceptional customer care. Prakash our Villa host, for serving us breakfast every morning and looking after our every needs, nothing was too much trouble. Rishi and Suresh on the beach team for such prompt delivery and replenishment of our rum and cokes, their friendly smiles and local knowledge. Nikhil in the main bar for outstanding customer service - as a graduate of the Constance Acadamy we wish him well as he progresses in his career. And not forgetting the beach vendors, always smiling, subtle in their approach and with absolute respect - we purchased super quality cashmere wraps at reasonable cost (to add to those bought on our previous holidays).

This is a great place. Outstanding service. My feeling is that it is a place full of love. If you are a golfer it is heaven. The food is also great. Even the buffet offer so many different cousines and tasted so good. All people included the guests 😀where nice and friendly. We will be back for sure.

hands down the best place i have ever stayed. the staff are amazingly nice, the rooms/ facilities are amazeballs, the pools are super fun and relaxing. there is so much good about this place. the buffet has hundreds of different types of food from across the world. we stayed here for Christmas a in 2019 with my family and it was the best. thank you for everything THE BEST PLACE ON EARTH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately, our experience wasn't quite on par with other hotels in the same category. It starts with little things like no toilet brush in the rooms, no body lotions, no conditioners, one large body & hair wash bottle etc. Buying a large beer 0.5L as per menu but arriving in a 0.4L glass... all in isolation not a concern, but overall just becomes a bit meehh.. Not quite the luxury experience. We asked cleaners 2 days in a row to change our sheets (they wont unless asked specifically out of sustainability reasons, which i agree with). Second day still havent changed them. You may get a bottle of water a day, maybe not. Glasses on the room are also by luck only. Food is another major let down. Breakfast is very basic, no local options. Everything shouts "high margins". Out of all the restaurants 2 of the a la carte options have been booked for private party for 5 days in a row. The buffet is totally overpriced, we didn't want to risk it given all food we had was pretty underwhelming. Food overall seems to aim at people with very basic need for spice & flavour. Make sure you have a car to check out some local places, unfortunately the hotel is in the middle of nowhere but there are some really nice local restaurants nearby if you are open to put flavour and value over ambience. Value for money overall is just not as good as comparably priced options that we have been to on the island (Sofitel, Lux etc.). Staff at Constance are really nice (although often slow and not attentive), the grounds are lovely as well. A lot of the hotel looks a bit dated, however. The reception area looks fantastic, with the bar and adjacent areas as well. Gym is great, the beach as well. No adults-only pool, one 'whisper' one but kids are playing in it. Not terrible staying here, just our experience at other hotels in Mauritius was nicer.

We stayed at the Constance Belle Mare Plage over the Easter break and enjoyed our stay here thoroughly. The staff are welcoming and friendly, all throughout the stay. The hotel and rooms are a bit dated but not to a degree that spoils the experience. The junior suites were of a fairly good standard and provided convenient access to one of the pools in the resort. Hotel staff were prompt and friendly if we needed any assistance in the room. The dining experience was good as well, though there were times when they had to be asked a few times for simple things, which is not what you'd expect at a resort like this. Having stayed at a Constance resort previously, this was new. These staff were in the minority however, and did not dampen the experience outside those moments. The buffet restaurant is well served with a great many options available. For vegetarians too there was a good choice - in the minority however. Of the 15+ areas where different choices were available, only 5-6 had vegetarian options. The chefs did cater for alternative choices on request and with notice which was much appreciated. Kayak and pedal boat options were nice too however the sea was choppy whilst we were there which limited our use of them. Long Beach hotel next door to the Belle Mare also had greater availability in this regard. All in all, we had a great time.

This hotel is a great place. However if you are an elderly couple with knee issues ask for rooms in the ground floor since there are no lifts. The steps are high. The path to the dining room has zero step path. Otherwise there isn't much to complain. A clock in some areas would be great. There are programs everyday.

Great Hotel on and Amazing stretch of beach. Rooms we had were excellent and they are upgrading the whole hotel to a similar standard. food was amazing and the staff could not do more. Only issue was service was slow at times.

Quite simply the best holiday resort we’ve ever stayed at! Service, location, food, facilities, room, views, golf were all outstanding ! From the amazing welcome from the lovely Patricia to our wonderful room maid Reena , the staff were so incredibly friendly and helpful and an absolute credit to the wonderful island of Mauritius. Constance Belle Mare Plage exceeded all our expectations in every department !

We have had a next to perfect holiday. The hotel is stunning and is in a gorgeous location. The beach and resort are kept clean and staff are hard at work tidying the greenery, cleaning etc. I would say that the housekeeping and general cleaning staff (including waiters/pool staff/groundsmen and women) have been the most caring, polite and friendly staff here, consistently. They always greet us, the housekeeping staff have been exceptional in our needs especially as we have two children. The facilities given to us for our baby were fantastic. The food here has been exceptional, particularly at La Citronelle buffet on Mauritian food evenings. There is plenty of hot and cold food variety, lots of vegetarian choice for us. The breakfast at The Deer Hunter was great, with beautiful views. The service and attention to detail at meal times has been great. At breakfast, our waitress Margaret was especially kind, remembering the names of our children and catering to our needs happily. She was always friendly and polite in her manner. On a slight downside, we found with perhaps one or two members of staff (one at Indigo and one at deer hunter restaurants), we were treated slightly differently to the other people that seemed liked very wealthy golfers. One staff member in particular went above and beyond to cater to other people at the beach, however when I asked a simple question, he asked someone else to do it and ignored communicating with me. On two occasions are food/coffee orders were either forgotten or late, but really these are exceptions to a generally fantastic, slick well running service. This made the service slightly inconsistent for us. Our biggest issue was with booking a transfer before we had even arrived at the hotel. From London, we had tried to contact the hotel several times, via website, email and phone. Unfortunately we were unsuccessful in speaking to anyone and had to book it with an alternative company. This was stressful as we were really keen to have something in place as we have two very young children, and thus lots of luggage with the pushchair etc. We had said this upon arrival to the manager Ashvin, that checked us in. In all respects he was friendly and helpful and professional. But unfortunately, when we mentioned our struggles with the transfer, he seemed unapologetic, and almost swept it under the rug. This was disappointing. The staff at Indigo, particularly Sam were brilliant and attentive with our children. The kid's club was fun for our daughter (even though she was unable to converse with the other French speaking children, the staff were friendly, especially Samuel. Reception were able to quickly source and deliver through a pharmacy some formula for our baby on the same day within hours of ordering (this was on a Saturday too). My husband enjoyed using the gym facilities (even though he felt it was very humid there), the gym staff were always friendly with him. In many ways our holiday was made stress free by the overall brilliance of many different staff members. Overall, a wonderful holiday and would come back again.

Just back from 10 days here . We were upgraded to a junior suite for free. Amazing room overlooking one of the pools and the amazing beach/sea. Room was fantastic , service top notch. Champers arrived in our room on first eve. Turn down every night. Food choices and quality amazing . Candle lit dinner organised for us. Late check out sorted Location was totally fantastic . Long beach, plenty of sun beds , 3 pools, water sports, 2 golf courses, 4 tennis courts. I would come back here in a heart beat. Only didn't give 5 stars for Location and on East Coast so didn't get to see a proper sunset.

Beautiful hotel. Stayed 2 nights while on vacation. Service was very friendly and helpful, from arrival all the way to checkout. The room was super clean and with a breathtaking sea view. Room cleaning service was great. Special mention to Jayshree who was looking after cleaning our room and introduced herself and asked whether all was in order. Food at the restaurants was quite good as well. Citronella buffet for breakfast and dinner. Tried Blu Indigo for lunch. We were lucky to attend the Sega performance at the Bar on the first night. Very entertaining and everyone had lots of fun. The second night's entertainment was so-so. Overall very happy and would recommend. Only minor inconvenience was how far our room was from the reception/restaurants area. But it is also a very nice walk by the beach to get there. So, not so bad.

I love this hotel! I stayed here in September 2022 with my partner. I would definitely consider staying here again if I were to visit Mauritius again. The staff were truly amazing. It offers a great place to chill and relax, but also to have a little party if you fancy. There was a good variety of night time entertainment, with dancers, bands and a DJ. The bar area was a great place to hang out. The buffet overall was good, including traditional Mauritian Creole food, the curries were delicious. Some nights were not great, it would have been nice to have had more variety of vegetables, and not be overcooked. The breakfast was great every time. The restaurant on the beach offered a buffet for lunch which was fantastic, with freshly bbq'd fish or chicken. It was easy to arrange excursions from the hotel, we did a day trip on a catamaran.. highly recommend. Thanks to everyone there who made out stay really special!

Can be quite expensive if you go for the best rooms, but definitely go for all inclusive. With price of food and drink you are in pocket with AI after three or four days. You are really treat like loyalty here especially by the golf staff and caddies who all remember your name.

We loved this hotel! We were upgraded to a prestige suite for our honeymoon and treated to champagne upon arrival in the room. The food is wonderful and the service excellent. The beach is very nice- but some coral so water shoes are advised. We enjoyed water sports and excellent dining.

We stayed here for 3 nights and added an extra day as I got food poisoning from somewhere. I don’t think it was from the hotel as manager said I was the only person who was ill throughout the whole resort. (I suppose, it could have been from the flight,…maybe) still they were very concerned. After many meetings with the hotel manager she finally offered us an extra day at a reduced price in our villa as I spent 3 days in the toilet. (It was actually the same price they gave initially.) We already had received a reduced price because they over charged us an extraordinarily amount that came out our bank account that took two days to rectify. There was much stress involved. Still they were very apologetic and did their best to help us. luckily we had a lovely butler Robyn, who always had coconut water on hand for me. The resort it very beautiful but a bit dated. It’s very large and spaced out. You need to take buggy’s to get to the main restaurant from the villas. There are many water sports on hand and the staff are super friendly. The sea is a bit rough and windy on this side of the island. You need water shoes for the sea. The buffet is good. It has cuisines All in all this is a lovely resort and I think anyone who comes here will have an enjoyable time.

We loved this hotel. We loved the long sandy beach, lots of water sports included too. All the staff were so incredibly friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. The food and wine was superb, great choice of both in all the restaurants. We would definitely come back here for a holiday.

We were there last month, and it was incredible! Hotel resort is very big, very clean and very nice. The main restaurant is big and they have very big choice, also another (a la carte) restaurants are amazing (ambient, service, food). The room was very clean, they were coming twice per day to ask us if we need something. Their spa is incredible, I had the best massage in my life. They are very friendly and helpful, we met so many nice people. And special thanks to our waiter Ajay, he was making our time there even more funny. Thanks for everything, we will come back! Constance belle mare plage hotel is an incredible place to spend your holidays. Upon arrival, the lobby is impressive with an amazing view on the ocean! The staff is very friendly and always taking care of you. The rooms are spotless and the decoration is modern and very tasteful. The beach is extremely pretty with pristine waters. A highlight was the food. I have never found a buffet tastier and with as much variety as in this hotel. The golf bar and restaurant are equally good. La Spiaggia, the Italian restaurant is outstanding with fine dining. The overall experience was incredible and I will come back!
