Nice views of fauna and flora. Keep in mind that even if you are like hiking and hike a lot, the wilderness od this are may overcome you. Take good shoes, clothes, etc. Specially on the more difficult trails.

Nice spot to cut from the active life, hiking was awesome. Room view is breathless but comfort is really average. Don't expect something high class as it is rather rustic. Staffs are helpful and pleasant and food was yummy.

If you book a chalet you're in for a treat. Great local cuisine. Cozy and tranquil atmosphere. If you're feeling a little adventurous there are a bunch of activities to keep you entertained.

Great getaway for people wanting to cut off from the tipsy turvy of daily routine. The nature is really great. Even during heavy rain the mountain and the domaine are awesome. The lodges are adequate. Not very clean but ok. Staff are polite. Owner is a nice guy. But food is average or even below. A little upgrade on the food provided would have given me a reason to stay again.

AVOID AT ALL COST!!! We booked a night through MariDeal. We arrived at around 4pm and were taken to our chalet which smelled humidity and molds, with no windows in the room which made it quite dark and hard to breath. Since this was not reflecting at all what was seen on the picture on MariDeal, we requested to have a chalet as seen on the pictures. The staff told us that this is not possible as the place is fully booked. We therefore asked to speak to the owner, and he replied that there is no one around as the check-in was at 2pm, that the next person would be in at 7pm, and that he needs to leave as he was already meant to have finished his shift for the day. We tried to call the owner on the numbers displayed at reception, with no success. The staff then proposed to have our night reimbursed which we accepted. In the meant time, the daughter of the owner suggested another room with better view, and that this one would need to be cleaned. We accepted and went for a walk in the meantime. We arrived back at our room at 7pm to find it in a poor state: -No clean towels -Moldy sink and bathroom accessories -Moldy towel on the floor next to the toilets -Stained bed sheet We went to the reception to request new towels and new sheet and told the owner that the room was disgusting. He was very arrogant, and rude and stated that if it is to say that the place is disgusting, then we should be leaving the place (which we would have happily done however we didn’t have anywhere else to go at such last minute on a high peak season). Someone then brought us dinner in a basket, with molds inside! Dinner was below average, with no taste at all. We realised when going to bed that one of the pillow was also covered in mould, super disgusting!!!! We decided to leave as early as possible in the morning after an awful night. As positive, the view was nice but I would never go back anyways!! There are so many other nice places around the Island, with some decent customer service.

1 star only for the scenic location.. HOWEVER... Went for end of year lunch there yesterday. Place is quite nice for trekking but APPALLING & HORRIBLE service... NO HAND WASH AND TOILET PAPER in rest room! TABLE NOT EVEN SET...no proper serving dishes /bowls/etc.. Take away bowls provided for lentils soup!!! The ladies doing the cooking appeared frustrated and annoyed. The worst place to have lunch... Far from being a 'table d' hote'!!! The office end of year lunch was ruined. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

The place was nice... The natural environment is the best asset of this Domaine. Nice walks/trekking possible. The chalets are nice - well located facing the valley and the mountains. Very romantic atmosphere. But some cleaning is necessary as concerned the furniture/bed sheets/pillows/cushions/draperies/linnens/towels. The food was very basic but manageable, if you do not make this item your priority. The personnel tried to give the best of themselves but somewhat desperate being too thin. You go there for nature exclusively. Do not expect extra comforts. Is it value for money? It depends on what you value most in life.

The map they gave is.. useless. Its best to enjoy the terrain and get lost in it on your own. Be careful around the deers. The food.. useless as well. The entertainment? Its not really present unless you pay for it. The good thing is that you pay 250rs per person to have a stroll on the territory. And no you DON'T get a receipt.

Are you tired of traffic jams? Do you want a retreat in nature? If a yes is crossing your mind, it's a place you need to visit. The Domaine offers great views, fresh cold air and some activities like hiking, archery and quad biking. They also offer the opportunity to stay on site with clean rooms n nice food. A great place if you want to do team building activities

Absolutely enchanted by my experience at Domaine De La Grave! The natural beauty surrounding the place is a dream for any nature lover. It's very sad to say so but unfortunately my experience was really bad.. Such a beautiful place(just the view) the chalet is really in a bad state Badly need a good renovation It looks dirty and old Zero maintenance for sure Just got an handwash ,2 toilet rolls and some tea bags.. That's it No shower gel nothing You can find plastic stuff everywhere as they don't clean up Food :- got the same thing as dinner and lunch on top of that it wasnt delicious at all For breakfast, just a slice of bread with some scramble egg (not even 1 egg) and two uncooked sausage with some ketchup on it Tea,coffee and milk was knda cold It's a place for nature lovers but not for animal lovers as we had the worst experience because they were doing deer hunt and we heard gun shots till we check out Couldn't go for a walk or to visit the beauty of that place Staff:- i don't know if they are lack of staff(not sure) but it's a mess They don't set up the table as it should be Specifically there's a girl who doesn't has manner how to talk with clients It's as if we are disturbing her Lack of communication between them I told them my sister and fiancee don't eat deer and they had only that as curry Fortunately they prepared something else To be honest don't worth the price and that's really sad and frustrating It has an amazing views and fresh air Should definitely be a place to cut off but due to these stuff you won't Weekend ruined

Nice place to hike. The viewpoints are great. At rs. 250 per person, maybe not so good if in large family group. Other activities, i have no idea as we have to call a day or so before to arrange for a guide etc. Toilet next to the office, while not "dirty" could do with some sound proofing and a bit of "refurbishment /upscaling". The greenery and waterways were really nice

The view is serene, very relaxing but the staff are unprofessional, very bad communication skill. Do not APPLY per customer needs. No effort was made. Chalets old and dirty, no soap was provided badly need a renovation. Food for dinner and lunch was same and was not good, for breakfast the coffee was not good, i don't know what kind of coffee they given us, the sausages were uncooked... During our stay, dear hunting was going on morning till we check out. We were not comfortable with that. I do NOT recommend this place at all due to the staff they have. They do not have manner to talk, especially a girl there. This place need a good management else the view is awesome for nature lovers.

I visited with a group of students. The facilities are good for students but their facilities for guests a just adequate. I realised the shower doors are made for people less that 180cm after bumping my head coming out of the shower. Luckily I could stop the bleeding myself. I then noticed that everywhere you go you have to bend down to enter doors at Domain De Lagrave.

It was an amazing place situated near a mountain with beautiful views . It also has a hotel for those who wants to spend more time there with great services. About the activities, you can practice archery, deer hunting, boar hunting and hiking . I recommend checking it out.

I went there for a hike. The main area is nice and spacious, however, the hard bit starts when you start following the trails up the mountain. I followed the red path, which was the medium difficulty one. If you're not very experienced, I'd stay away from this place, as the path is absolutely covered with plants, moss, mud and rocks and it's hard to follow. The path is very narrow and steep all the way to the top, and you don't get any open areas on your way there. Once you reach the summit, you don't get to see anything. It is very underwhelming, since the way to the top on the medium path is very challenging, but you don't get to experience any of the views. The other thing is, I didn't know the place was a deer hunting ground which made me really sad. Had I known about this, I definitely wouldn't have come. Overall, amazing mountain to hike, but through and extremely treacherous path.

Great experience! Best place to be cut from the world with a breathtaking view and amazing outdoor activities. The châlet was cozy and warm while the staff was warm and welcoming. the kitchen ladies were quite accommodating, ready to prepare veg food. 100% coming back Bug thanks to Mathilde and Laetitia

First of all, I want to clarify that this is of no fault of the lodge itself, however of the booking from the head office. My fiancee had booked me a surprise stay at Nativ Lodge (since she knows I love it there), with a private pool and an a/c room. On the day that we were going there I asked my fiancee to search the place that we were going to and it was written "Domaine La Grave" on the invoice that was sent to her. When we called to address the issue of this booking with the head office, they owned up to the issue and promised us a stay at Nativ Lodge for later, but to go enjoy our stay at Domaine la grave. Fair enough, we went to domaine la grave only to find a group of people and their screaming children that had booked for activities. Our room was not a/c and the only thing to do there was to walk around the place, where it was actually peaceful. However no pools to swim in and as soon as we got to our room, it was chaos again, with not one moment of peace! THIS WAS NOT WHAT WE BOOKED! The reservation agent also said she'll e-mail my fiancee back during the evening, which we waited for now 2 weeks and never happened. This was criminal! Never booking with either lodge again and seriously discourage anyone to book with the head office!

Domaine la grave is an idyllic hunting reserve n magnificent place for trekking.. 3 different tracks with different levels. The red track 6km to the mountain ridge is not too challenging n have a great view The black 10km very hard, have to climb n crawl the rock but u get an incredible views at the top. Should add more directional signage n repaint the actual ones for self guided n amateur hikers but that's not a big issue I still highly recommend domaine la grave

  • 5/5 Avinash G. 10 months ago on Google
Tried the 6km red trail. Very slippery, not recommended for children. One of the hardest but well worth it. The venison curry was very good.

(Translated by Google) We were disappointed with our night at the Domaine. Not being in one of the cabins, we were accommodated in a room which had a strong musty smell. It was not clean and the mattress was old and very uncomfortable. However, the staff were warm and the view is exceptional, which is a shame. Thanks anyway to the estate staff!

There are also many games like canoeing, fishing and treasure hunt with a map and compass and also lite military games ( no guns) just climbing a pole and other skilfully games

We went to hike Mountain la Grave and paid Rs250 pax (with no receipt)on 17.12.23. However we got lost on our ascent and top parts due to absence of signages or sometimes poorly indicated marks. We tried to phone several times with no reply and after a long moment one person who took our call couldn't clarify appropriately the trailpath to us and and never called back. We were told by mr Romin at the start that there were ropes at technical areas but none was there. It was very dangerous and we couldnt complete the hike to the top and so we had to get to return back to the trailhead. We explained to the personel at the reception. Not recommended to hike and very irresponsible from the management. The trail must be closed and remedial works done urgently.
