Tourist attraction Nature preserve

👍👍 One of the few biodiversity spots in Mauritius. A great effort undertaken by the government to conserve the few parcels of endemic forest and at the same time provide students and public how the endemic forest was.. the guises are very welcoming and helpful during the visit..

I had a wonderful experience, and it's more fun with friends. I went their on a school trip with my friends, during winter the situation the muddy and slippery yet fun. The guide too was friendly, pointing out different plants- some medicinal some not- like the 'bois de carrot'. Their dog too is adorable and friendly. Definitely going to visit again and ohh! There are picnic tables where you can sit and have a picnic whilst admiring the tranquil and scenery mountains/valley Overall i do recommend this place, and a piece of advice don't wear white shoes or new sneaker Wear sport wear clothes, it's much easier and comfortable.

After the rainy weeks we had the soil is very muddy and slippery... The site has lots of interesting views and lots of endemic plants can be found there

A good place to cut off from everyday life. You have picnic area with a beautiful view. The access is not very suitable for small and low cars.

Beautiful walk BUT make sure you take good repellent cause there are way too many mosquitoes.

Loved it!! Perfect place to have a picnic with family and friends, lots of mosquitoes around but fun to play around, beautiful lake, waterfall and all, chilly weather

Beautiful area with an effort to save and spread endemic species. You hike through a palm forest to a small waterfall and make a loop back. It's quite a small trail, only 2km long but it can be difficult to cross if the ground is wet. If you go here after a rainy day, definitely bring a pair of boots as the trail becomes very muddy. If you're lucky, you can also spot some macaques.
