Nice hike, moderate difficulty. Nice view on top with both the sea up to Le Morne in between Rempart and Tourelle, and urban cities up to Port Louis. Good shoes, water and spirit will get you on a nice hike.

Great hike, nothing very dangerous but there are not many places to hide from the sun. We started at 7am and came back down by 11.30am. We were lucky on the way up that it was cloudy but coming down, the last hour was difficult because of the sun, even with water and a hat. Maybe more advisable going earlier or closer to sun down as the sun sets behind the mountain. It was worth it though.

One of the highest peaks of Mauritius, which gives an impressive view of the Western Part of the Island!!!

It's pretty nice but it's not recommended to go during summer. It's just scorching hot there. No places to hide from the sun. Pro tip, just don't follow the marked trail on the left during your descent. It's just a long long detour. You'll run out of water during summer quickly. Instead use the same path that you used for ascend.

Despite the amount if waste in the river and along the road, it remains a good place for hiking for adventure lovers and from my experience of climbing this mountain was amazing. I really liked it and the view is incredible.

I used to go to this place some time ago every Sunday morning with my friends. When you this trail regularly it will take about 30 to 40 minutes to reach what we call 'La Tête', and if you intend to go to the mountain head, I.e dominating Palma, it can take between 2 to 3 hours. The view is breathtaking. I would advise to start around 5 in the morning so as to see the sunrise over the central part of Mauritius and enjoy the fresh morning to fill up your lungs. My friends and myself used to practice meditation on top every Sunday.

Moderately difficult hike that you do in about 3 to 4 hours. Great views of the west coast and of the Plaine Wilhems towns.

Awesome trail! One thing: do not underestimate the climb. It's not super hard, but be ready to put in some efforts. On top, the view is breathtaking. You get a clear view on La Ferme reservoir on the west, the city view of Beau-Bassin / Rose Hill and Quatre-Bornes on the east, the Port Louis Harbour in the north and the distant mountains - Le Pouce, Pieter Both, etc...

👍👍 You have to climb a bit, but it's not that hard. Wear sneakers, also visit the waterfall near, it's worth seeing. Don't go there after the cyclone, wait a few days, you won't be able to passthrough. 15 minutes hiking.
