Typical street market with some tented/indoor vendors and fully indoor stores. Most vendors are pushy and do not let you browse without shoving stuff in your face trying to get you to buy things you don’t want. Lots of poorly made imported counterfeit items and harassing sellers. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here however there are some stores that had authentic Mauritius spices and locally made products with vendors who were very polite, friendly and helpful without being too pushy. There is one beautiful boutique though called Blanc De Toi that has nice stuff , everything is white which I thought was really cool. It’s not in the market but a standalone store before turning the corner. The sales associates are normal and don’t try to sell you anything. I would recommend checking this place out.

As someone who has visited Mauritius many times , its better to support the Bazar than overpriced Street guys and hawkers . Its not an air conditioned mall its a market and goods are fine as gifts .etc Best stall for Trainers ,sun glasses,jewellery, bags is just before the main entrance and the Buddha on the right side . Run by Anoushka so helpful and patient, we tried on several trainers etc and then bought quite a few bits . She is a kind natured lady not like some of the stall holders . Do support if you don't want to pay the ridiculous hotel gift shop price for the same goods . Thanks Anoushka all the best.

A tourist trap through and through. The same goods are available at most grocery stores at a fraction of the price. Please do everything in your power to stay away. It is an unpleasant experience, guaranteed to ruin your day out. Constant harassment and vendors who, almost without exception, have a self entitled attitude if you do not purchase their goods

Its ok. It seems the prices here are expensive. You can buy cheaper ones at the stores right outside the grand bazaar or the small stores that are on the way to here

Great place to find clothes and souvenirs at cheap prices.

Worth going to have look for a couple of touristic souvenirs. But any price you get, negotiate till half that price.

It's a touristic Bazar, it has a great reputation. Most of the tourists come in the north of the island , they must visit the Bazar., not too much expensive and its nice. But be careful SOME of the merchants are burglars on prices as well as articles.

Even though you could find the odd bargain, it's pretty much a tourist trap and very overpriced! Some stall owners are friendly,but some are pushy and try to charge you triple the price if not more! Some of the little shops in the street leading up to here are much better. Wouldn't return here. Much prefer going to a local market.

Well, what can I say, lots of copy-paste small shops. Worth visiting if you are looking for cheap clothes,bags etc.

Perfect place for souvenirs - don't miss it! 300m from the main road, the bazaar is in a large courtyard. You can find plenty of nice and region-specific clothing, and of course loads of souvenirs. All prices are negotiable so you should never pay the first price given. All merchandise is twice as cheap as on the high street. It has narrow corridors and is hot inside but it's worth it!

This place has many shops particularly focused on fashion products. You can find many first copy clothes of reputed brands. Shirts, shorts, shoes, caps, souvenirs etc. You can bargain with them to secure the best deal for yourself.

Nice little market. Definitely worth a visit. You can bargain these vendors down to half of the price.

Boring. Just tourist stuff, high prices for cheap quality. Not worth it

Vibrant and fun. All stall holders enthusiastic and helpful. Bought several items. One shirt had a small seam fault. Exchanged the next day with no problems.

A great bazaar. Very neat and clean. Sad to see the impact Covid had on this bazaar as quite a few shows closed down. Hope the bazaar will be back to normal soon.

If anyone likes a place where to find all of the same touristic stuff, then this is it. Be aware that everyone tries to talk to you and sell you stuff.

A large variety of beachwear and informal clothing. Very keen sales assistants. A integral part of the Island experience.

You get everything you need. You are always surrounded with wonderful people.

Also a great attraction only as a tourist they raise the prices.... So you have to negotiate at least start from half the price offered
