I & my husband have an amazing experience there. It was a perfect date night for us! The taste of the food was extraordinary. It’s a fine dining place that gives you homestyle food experience which you share food with others instead of having individual small portions.

Faux flowers or trousers? We had such an interesting experience, I would struggle to rate it anything above a 2. When we arrived at the hotel (we are staying at the four seasons) they informed us we would not be able to sit unless all males were in long trousers. However the fact that I was I jeans and sandals was not an issue? We were delayed 30 minutes and ultimately spent 3000 rupee on pants in the gift store to resolve the issue. The gentleman that had to change was in a button up shirt, belted shorts and loafers. I get a dress code. I’m the queen of them for certain times. However, when making this big of a deal, I would expect far more than faux flowers on the table. It didn’t stop there either, the table would be described as a outdoor picnic table at best. Next came the food. Marginal if you are used to good Indian. The service was okay but we poured our own wine and water all evening. Again, considering the fact that trousers were a must, the whole evening was beyond confusing, frustrating and disappointing. This is a skip, not to worry if you miss kinda place. If you insist on going, wear trousers and bring low expectations.

We were thoroughly looked after by Roopesh and his team. We had the 10 course tasting menu and all courses were amazing and easily as good as, if not better than, Michelin starred Indian restaurants we have tried in London. In fact, we ended up with around 12 courses in all as they were keen for us to try more and we were keen to have more. We were also able to meet the chefs behind the scene which was great.

I will forever remember this Indian culinary experience. As an avid eater of Indian fare, our meal at this restaurant was nothing but 5-star: the food (6 stars actually) and the courteous yet engaging personnel really made this evening special. And, yes! I second a previous Google review claiming that this might be some of the best Naan bread on the planet! This restaurant is chic and very well-suited to the guests of the LUX Belle Mare hotel and resort that surround it. Tip: Book well in advance, and keep trying their phone until you get a hold of someone who can confirm the reservation. Thank you Roopesh and the entire team.

Excellent Indian restaurant in the hotel. We ate here 3 times and were very impressed with the consistently top notch food quality and service. Butter chicken very tasty, chicken biryani is a great portion size. Samosa chaat and paneer starters fantastic. Could do with adding traditional lassis to their drinks menu.

We have just had a special meal at Amari and it was phenomenal. The moment you arrive, you're given a traditional welcome before going into the restaurant which is a really special way to start the whole experience. The atmosphere is incredible (there is a beautiful painted mural across the walls and ceiling). The staff go above and beyond to make sure that you are feel welcome and that you have everything you could need and want. The service is sensational. The food is breathtakingly beautiful and so delicious (we'd definitely recommend the dark chocolate-roasted cumin tart). The fusion of flavours is astounding and it all tasted incredible. I loved how the staff explained the different foods, flavours and traditions. We were made to feel so valued and it is an amazing experience that we will remember and treasure forever. Thank you so much!

Exceptional meal at Amari, my husband and I opted for the 10 course meal and it was truly one of the best Indian meals I’ve had in my life. The service was amazing Roopesh took amazing care of us we even had a tour of the kitchen! I couldn’t recommend this restaurant more, it gives every Michelin star restaurant a run for their money

Beautiful setting. Great service. Food - very hood. Had samosa chaat for starter, was a bit too spicy for my liking and not enough yoghurt/tamarind to offset the masala flavours. Chicken makni was superb. Desserts were excellent.

Wow! We had such an amazing and memorable experience dining at the Amari, and it was so special celebrating our honeymoon there! it was so good, that we had to return indeed for another dinner!!! 😊 The food was superb and delicious, and the service was amazing, the staff are so professional and kind. Highly recommended! Absolutely a must visit if you are in Mauritius!

Words cannot describe the amazing food we have had here. Everything was pure bliss from starter to dessert. We had a lot of Indian dishes in our lives, but none comes close. The staff is friendly and nice and the sous chef was polite enough to ask how our dinner went. Would recommend for sure.

Went for dinner and sat by the kitchen where you could see the chefs preparing the dishes and cooking the roti/naan which was interesting. Starters and curries were all meant for sharing which was nice as we got to try more things. Flavours were great and presentation was good. Not too expensive for a nice meal out.

This is a Michelin star restaurant with an amazing atmosphere. This place is perfect for a date night. You have to make a reservation & follow the dress code (smart casual) before coming (NO SHORTS). I came all the way from my hotel in the north west of Mauritius to visit it. I have tried: Black chicken 5/5 Chicken biryani 5/5 Raan musallam 5/5 Chocolate craving 5/5

Unbelievable! A Michelin Star restaurant that takes you on a flavour ride from one dish to the next. The modern twist on Indian food is delicious. Not only was the food sensational, but the service was outstanding. We would highly recommend eating here

Great service and hospitality! The food was something different, however the dessert had some serious problem since it was frozen. Guest they were not able to defrost it well.

Average Indian food. Second time at a Vineet Bhatia restaurant (the other one in London) and my reaction is the same.

Mediocre Indian food and not the best experience. Bearing in mind this restaurant is part of the Lux Belle Mare hotel it’s dress code is ridiculous. As an all inclusive guest at this hotel I was turned away because I was not wearing trousers. I understand a dress code is there so that people are smart and not in beach ware but bearing in mind It’s 80 degrees outside I was turned away for wearing smart shorts, long sleeve shirt which was tucked in with a belt and some smart loafers. My partner was wearing a dress. People are on holiday and do t want to be in trousers when it’s so hot. I know numerous people who wouldn’t bother visiting this place as a result and considering the food was very average it’s a good job this meal was complimentary.

👍👍 I travel to India quite often, so I can confirm that you can get real Indian food here. Everything that we had was delicious and the prices are ok. However it is not spicy at all. So next time we have to ask to make it more spicy.

👍👍 On our last day in Belle Mare, we were there delicious eat to lunch. Very good staff. It went very fast. It was delicious. Sea fish plate and lamb curry, are recommended. It was not cheap, but good. The bottle of white wine was also very good (Bellingham Sauvignon 2018 Cape Town). We had a nice eve...
