A delightful and delicious local cuisine dishes in a wonderful setting that recalls us of our childhood days. Highly recommend this magic place for lunch if you want to have a delicious taste.

Lovely restaurant in a very atmospheric building. Friendly and professional staff, they even stayed open beyond the official closing time to feed me and a friend. I had the pork dish and my friend chose the octopus curry. Wow, so intense flavours and served with a generous portion of rice, lentil sauce and fresh salad. Highly recommended this lunchtime venue. Extremely well cooked and delicious food at this hidden pearl. The restaurant is for lunch only around to about 14:30 pm if you do not make a reservation for dinner. Very beautiful old house and garden. Tables have fans so it is comfortable eating. The family who runs the restaurant is very nice and the staff too. We came back three times during our stay = every time we went to the south 😎 a perfect stop over for lunch when you are going to or from Blue Bay, or even the beautiful La Cambuse Plage.

Nice little restaurant off the beaten path - very relaxing atmosphere - the staff was very attentive to our needs. The food was delicious and very Mauritian.

Without knowing we ended up on one of the best restaurants on the island. Delicious and typical Mauritian food. We were very well received and although we had no reservation they managed to get us a table. Octopus Curry, Pork with Ginger and a Delicious Pork with Tomato were the stars of the meal, that ended up with a fabulous flan pudin. A mandatory visit when you visit Mauritius.

We had the fish curry and smoked pork and it was delicious. Good portions. Very friendly staff :)

Fantastic food in the Mauritian decor. The host Mario as always is very welcoming. Good for friends and family and away from the usual brick and mortar restaurant.

I was there in August 2019 for lunch with 3 other guests. We arrived there at 12:00 and it turned out that we were the first customers of the day. The restaurant is actually an old colonial house that has been converted into a restaurant and thus one has to walk through a garden. I was surprised to see that the owner came to meet us to welcome us. I thought that this quite unusual, but then I found out later that the owner actually has the same ritual with all his guests. There is no fixed menu here. The menu varies everyday depending on the products that they get and most of the time they serve the local Creole food. The staff is very polite and helpful and the food was good. Definitely worth a trial. I recommend!

Local cuisine in a cute little garden. Tasty homemade homemade cooking. The menu features 4 mains in total , 2 fish based and 2 meat based. The meal is accompanied by rice, lentil soup, salad and various condiments. Everything we tried we liked. Odd fact we went there twice and they never had any change when it came to pay the bill so be aware.

Authentic, simple and so very satisfying. The food, the setting, the hosts - the whole package. We thoroughly enjoyed every single sip/slither/bite/bit. Will now be a regular for my family - even if we have to travel a whole 70 minutes to get here

Visited with my family for lunch. The most memorable part, for the wrong reasons, was the very poor service given by the waitress. She was rude to us from the start for no apparent reason. There is no menu card so the choices are explained by the person serving you. We ordered the fish curry - the fish was overcooked. Based on my experience I would not visit this place again.

Very nice restaurant. Great food and service. Authentic mauritian dishes. Really enjoyed my time here.
